"I request a proper audience with your true body, Magus. I shall leave you unharmed provided you can give me reason to not pluck every one of these familiars from the sky. The nefariousness of Magi left unchecked has been proven many times before. Give me a reason to believe you are different."

No man who could hide in far away safety was being entirely truthful. Sadly, he needed to look upon the vessel that contained the soul to simply get the answers from the Magus by himself, but his ability to detect lies was still intact.

Zolgen sighed, "If it is truly necessary." Zolgen knew of the righteousness of the legendary hero Karna, if he did not accept it would most likely result in being hunted, "Just as long as you keep with your promise."

Zolgen's body began to break apart, a large bladeworm flying in front of the collapsing insect form, and his voice echoed again. "Go to the sewers, when you get there it will lead you to a suitable meeting spot." Before it moved and hovered in front of Karna.

"Shall we meet soon." And then all his insects where gone.

"Your concern is fruitless, Magus. I shall keep my word as if my life depended on it."

With that, he let the dragonfly go and began trying to find the nearest sewer cover.

Zolgen walked down the dimly lit sewers towards the location where he had planned to meet with Karna.

“Truly this is the worst possible thing to happen” the frustration was obvious in his voice, however not in the way he walked. Instead he seemed almost resigned; there is no hope to contest the power of a heroic spirit, especially one as great as Karna.

It was not long until he arrived at an open chamber, free of insects except for the couple flying around Zolgen. There Zolgen waited for something that was likely his death, and never before had he looked so old.

Enkidu - Subway Station

Enkidu gave it another tap on the shoulder.

"We probably should not stay here."

A quick glance was all he needed to realize that there were still people around in spite of what he first thought. Most of them were hiding in shadows and corner, showing a terrified look. Most eyes were on his scaly companion but, he could spot a few who were looking at him and whispering to another.

"People seem nervous around us."

The green haired boy smiled as he walked for the nearby exit.

"I remember seeing a location outside of town. It did not seem to be of any use to humans. And since I am not feeling at ease being watched in such a way , I would rather head there. That way, we won't cause trouble for the locals and we may find some peace of mind if anything. Of course, it would be your choice to come along or not."

Lycodrake Aptera - Subway Station
"We probably should not stay here. People seem nervous around us."
He couldn't help but agree with Enkidu, following the green-haired young man's gaze. The sight of cowering humans whispering was disheartening. Lycodrake Aptera had never been given such looks by humans before. Most often the gazes he received and returned were those he now shared with Enkidu - one of respect and understanding.

Yet that was partially a lie. Only a handful of beings knew he was a spawn of Typhon and Echidna, the father and mother of dragons that terrorized Greece and surrounding countries. He had always feared seeing the same looks that were given when his birth parents - or at very least grandparents - were mentioned and discussed would one day be directed at him.

He shook himself from such depressing thoughts - he was not alone and this was not his world. These humans did not know him.

The wingless one was glad to have a companion like Enkidu - who knew something of this strange city and shared at least some of his concern regarding the whispering, watching humans - and nodded, moving to stand alongside him and nodded meaningfully.

"What brings you here, Ms. Grigori?"

"I am here because-"

Grigori stopped speaking when she head a heavy thump and the sound of pavement cracking. She didn't even get a chance to react before an enormous hand grabbed her, and slammed her body on to the floor. Grigori could feel multiple bones break, and she coughed up a bit of blood. She gathered some mana before releasing a shockwave that threw her attacker back. A burst of green curative magic covered her, and any internal damage or broken bones were healed.  Then she simply floated to her feet. It was almost like she had never been injured at all. The only indicator of the brutal crush dealt by the creature was a few droplets of blood.

"Well, I haven't burn hurt like that for a few hundred years. It's been a long time since I've seen my own blood."

Grigori took a good look at her attacker. It seemed to be a bird man. With eyes that seemed to be made of glass, and they were very red. It was also putting most of it's weight on it's right leg. It shouldn't be able to rush her like that again, but she wasn't willing to take chances. "Bind." Chains made of pure mana wrapped around the bird man. Hundreds of them pulled on it's limbs until it was practically incapable of movement. Then a blast of curative magic burst from Grigori's hand and repaired the bird man's broken leg.

"Usually I would not be so lenient, but you have managed to wound me, and I respect your skill."

Grigori looked at the drops of blood on her arm, and had to stop herself from losing it. She hadn't been reminded that she was still capable of dying for years. It had been a long time since Grigori had thought of herself as mortal.

"That was rather exciting! Although it seems I have failed to answer your original question, Henry. I am here in search of some entertainment. The nights can be so boring sometimes, however it seems like there are still things that can surprise even me. I haven't been ambushed like that for ages."

Grigori smiled. It seemed like the night would only get more interesting as time passed.

"Now that I think of it, do either of you have any place to stay?"

“Yes in fact I-“Suddenly Tokiomi felt the alarm of his workshop go off, indicating unauthorized entry and activation of his defenses. “I guess this day can get worse” he muttered under his breath.

Putting down the now empty cup he stood up. “I am sorry, thank you for your help but I seem something has just come up at home.”

He began to walk towards the door before he stopped and turned around with a puzzled expression, “Where are we anyway?”

Gabriel was outright smiling as he felt La Folia finally give in, her cry like sweet music to his ears.  Blunt nails dug into his back through his clothing and he bit back a groan as she gripped him, her release soaking his fingers even more.  She then slumped against him, breathing heavily into his ear.  Her long, snow white hair pooled down his shoulder and back, a fascinating contrast to his black attire.

His leather pants were increasingly uncomfortable; but that only added to everything.  He was hard, painfully swollen, and had he been a lesser man, he would have just spun her around, lifted up that skirt, and thrust in to the hilt.  However, even as wanton as she apparently was, she was a princess.  A virgin princess none the less.

Gabriel Umbra smirked as she said, "You shouldn't give cute nicknames to girls you barely know. But I'll forgive you this time."

"Well, you shouldn't let strange men you barely know play with your quim," he replied, "But I thank you for your lack of decorum."

Then she leaned into him, her breath hot on his ear.  His own breath caught as it caressed the sensitive point.  He suppressed a shudder as she pressed against him, all warmth and lush curves.  He looked at her as she whispered into his ear, "We are not done yet, Gabriel."

The teasing little minx started to slide her underwear down her hips, thighs and to her knees.

He reached out and caught her wrist with a smile, his violet eyes gem bright.  Gabriel wanted to see her splayed out upon his bed.  Wanted to know what sort of a contrast her fair hair would make against his Bordeaux red sheets.  He needed to see her open to him: pink, swollen, wet, and inviting.

And, most importantly, he wanted to ruin her for other men.

He pressed towards her, his hard length poking her thigh.  "Not here Folly, hold on tightly."

Damn the car, I can get it later, he thought as he held her close and walked into Shadows.

The familiar wave of blacks, greys, violets, blues and the odd swash of red ripped around them.  There was a dull roar that filled the air, the only sound in the odd corridor.  The glow from Gabriel's skin was the only light here.

Grinning, he said, "I should take you to my lair to ravish you."

Forest blinked at the redhead mourning for the dead weed.  Had it been a raven or a crow or some other helpless creature she would have mourned with him.  However it was a weed.

She was about to tell him where the Wal-Mart was when a very Wynn like woman appeared.  Then things got really weird, and really violent.  A cyberpunk fusion of Birdman and Retro-Iron Man decided that the bitch had to die and crashed into her.

Forest was already in motion, to pull them off of each other when she heard the poor thing's thoughts.  Or rather his lack of actual thoughts.  There was something human in there, but it had been buried and replaced with instinct, need, and obedience.

Her stomach tightened.  Twice in one night, she thought, ice forming in her veins.  Twice within minutes of each other she'd seen two poor souls broken and brainwashed to act for someone else.  Like that Roman Bastard try to do to me, she thought, pushing that disturbing train of thought away.

The Wynn like woman, Grigori proved she was even more Wynn-like in the fact she could take care of herself.  Within moments she was healing her own wounds and had the poor thing strung up.  She healed its leg too on a whim, but by damned if she didn't say, "That was rather exciting! Although it seems I have failed to answer your original question, Henry. I am here in search of some entertainment. The nights can be so boring sometimes, however it seems like there are still things that can surprise even me. I haven't been ambushed like that for ages."

"If you want some bloody entertainment go to the video store and rent Army of Darkness then!" Forest said, bristling as she moved between Grigori and the Iron Bird Man.  "Innocent people aren't your goddamn entertainment."

She bit her lip before looking into the glowing red eyes of the creature who just attacked Grigori.  She sent telepathically, hoping that it still had enough of a mind to reach. Please, calm down.  You don't need to hurt anyone anymore, and I'll try to keep anyone from hurting you.  Please, calm down.  You're hurting yourself more.

Ash nodded and said, "Or whatever.  I mean, becoming a vampire doesn't mean your instantly wealthy.  You gotta build up to that."

She clapped her hands together and said, "But beyond that.  We need to go hire a whore to donate a pint at least, or you're not going to be able to function soon."

Songbird's initial attack failed, seeing that she got right back up and waved a hand at him.

The man-bird didn't realize that he was tossed like a toy until he realized he was looking up to the stars. If the woman was capable of this...well, a prolonged fight would be disastrous, especially with his already broken body. Rising up, the guardian was about to attempt a lunge...

Only to find out he couldn't move!

Hundreds of glowing chains appeared out of nowhere, binding him to this very spot! Unable to think, Songbird shrieked while struggling, desiring to escape these bindings and finish the woman off once in for all, even ignoring that he popped his right arm out of its socket or that he was breaking a few more ribs. So focused about escape, Songbird was only able to hear the voices of the black haired and the blonde women instead of the actual words.

Please, calm down.  You don't need to hurt anyone anymore, and I'll try to keep anyone from hurting you.  Please, calm down.  You're hurting yourself more.

Singbird immediately ceased to struggle. It sounded like the Blonde's voice. He shifted his head to gaze at her, not knowing what to think.

"No, I'm good. Near the billboard, minotaur selling hot dogs, wooden storehouse and garage, know it when I see it, blah blah. I'll come bother you if I need anything," Ragna said with a note of finality. "That goes both ways. I got jack shit to do, so bother me if you need anything."

He took a heavy, uncomfortable breath and made to walk away, hoping he wouldn't get another interruption. He had a meal to both find and eat, preferably in peace.

And this time, it looked like he successfully avoided a dine and dashing partner. It had to happen eventually.

Yukina, hearing that he can also be called for help if they needed anything, then came running towards him to chase him and yelled, "But we do not know how where we could find you! Please do tell us!"

Uchiten
Alleyway - vicinity of Mega Shopping Center

"GYAAAHHHHHHHHhhhhrrrgghhhhh...."

A painful lamentation pierced the air of the alleyway covered in shadows. The origin of the scream was a bloodied and battered man, crawling on the asphalt. One of his arms was bent unnaturaly in multiple sections, and his right leg- only a smoldering stump remaining - had been reduced to cinder, its former shape marked on the ground by lingering blue embers.

Next to him, a girl was sitting on top of a blackened husk, tail swaying sluggishly in annoyance. Her ears twitched as she pouted.

"Geez. Your screams of pain are amusing, but your voice is obnoxious." Homura sighed.

Next to her, Uchiten chuckled. By his side, Shi's arm was sticking to a cracked wall, its imprinted outline buried into the surface. Limbs loosely hung from the back of his hand where it had met the building, and behind it, the grime splattered all over the concrete was beginning to slide down.

Zan was leaning against a wall perfectly silent, sword firmly in its scabbard. His sharp eyes were narrowed lazily, unacknowledging of the foes his fellow shikigami had brutalized.

"For vampires, these guys weren't worth much, Uchi-sama." the kitsune whined, lighting a small flame on her pointer finger. The undead man whose leg she had burned wheezed with desperation on the ground, mouth wide and fangs shining in the dark.

"Hmm, I suppose you're right. But, assuming every vampire is going to be a monster like those famed nobles or daywalkers is just going to cause disappointment." Uchiten commented, scratching his chin in thought.

A rather cute strangled sound came from her mouth in response.

"Do not worry." the onmyouji began, in reassurance. "There will be stronger ones to face than these no-names. And not just vampires, either."

As they had walked around town, Uchiten had assessed the presences of many powerful individuals engaged with one another, talking, clashing, interacting in several groups, joining as if drawn by fate, coming together as though their power attracted more of the same.

Without being distracted by exhilaration, he could clearly sense the presence of the Golden King even from a great distance away. He could sense another, similar to him. He could feel a gross, mighty presence of death. He had noticed the overwhelming and absolute power of order; recognized the unordinary bugs that loitered everywhere in town for what they were, familiars of a strong mage; and taken note of the other, similar sources, the beacons of power all over town. Mages, fighters, vampires, monsters. divines, spirits...

Uchiten licked his lips in anticipation. Oh yes, he was very much looking forward to the fun he was about to have.

For her part, while the master considered his latest thoughts, Homura simply raised a finger wreathed in flame at her victim while thinking of the vampire's right eye.

As she smiled mischeviously, blue fire ignited and the night sky was again pierced by a yell of agony.

"GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHH!!"

"This building is any of eight different points in the city simultaneously."

Minato finished the last of his tea and set his cup down; Then proceeded to stand before reaching into his jacket, pulling out a book that was clearly too large to fit in any jacket pocket.

"This is a guidebook a now very rich man wrote for people who land in this city, it has all the basic information on the city, comes with a faction map, and has survival tips for those who intend to do anything but hide in a basement."

The cover of the book Minato set in front of Jojo had no author's name printed, only the name of the book and a simple phrase that likely made up the best survival tip in the entire book.

DON'T PANIC
Traveler's Guide to The Nexus.

"Read the first two chapters, that should get you up to speed."

Minato proceeded to the door.

"As I was saying before, the dorm exists in various places but becomes fixed to one point momentarily when people attempt to enter or exit."

Minato placed his hand on the doorknob.

"The question now is what part of the city do you want to get to?"

As Grigori would begin to explain, something unexpected had happened. That thing. The damned birdman from earlier was alive and unwell. How? He would've thought the construct would've died judging from its waning life force. But apparently it proved him wrong. Normally Henry would feel happy for its survival. But a combination of glowing scarlet eyes and a clawed offensive was a whole different story. Especially when the newly arrived Amazonian sorceress is about to be on the receiving end of a brutal beating. The doctor in him could already hear several ribs fracturing and already piercing vital organs housed inside the formerly intact ribcage.

"It's still alive?!" Henry thought as he was thoroughly astonished, "How can it still move to this degree?"

Taking Forest's cue, he also moved to assist Grigori from the creature's very own hands. But such help was apparently unnecessary as Henry suddenly felt a sudden spike of energy that exploded from the bird man's hand. It was rather surprising that she was capable of doing away with her attacker with such ease. The subsequent influx of energy that Henry felt also suggested that the Amazonian caster had already recovered from the assault. What was most pronounced was her behavior seemed too relaxed for someone who had her ribs broken and marked with beads of blood.

"Well, I haven't been hurt like that for a few hundred years," Grigori remarked rather nonchalantly at this tense situation, "It's been a long time since I've seen my own blood."

"Bind," she then commanded. An untold length of magical chains had sprung into reality to put her mysterious hulking attacker into rigid bondage. In midst of its enraged flailing, another flow of healing energy had already restored Birdman's wounded leg.

"You have quite a number of tricks up your sleeves, Miss," Henry quietly remarked as the spells have performed their respective functions.

"Usually I would not be so lenient, but you have managed to wound me, and I respect your skill," Grigori would admit her admiration for the creature's prowess and at the same time establishing her own confidence of her abilities.

But this wasn't something Henry was interested in. Rather, on why this overgrown man-buzzard would rather come here and attack Grigori out of nowhere. Originally wounded and in a completely foreign environment, it isn't hard to guess why. At least to Henry. He found himself glancing back at the chained creature upon hearing tell-tale noises of self-harm for the sake of freedom.

"It's going to hurt itself even more like this," Henry grimaced upon examination, "You have something that--"

"That was rather exciting!" the sorceress would then interject soon after with a beaming expression, "Although it seems I have failed to answer your original question, Henry. I am here in search of some entertainment. The nights can be so boring sometimes, however it seems like there are still things that can surprise even me. I haven't been ambushed like that for ages."

Doctor Chae found himself disagreeing with her statement as his lips quirked to the side. The clinic alone has been privy to many things concerning various people. He kept such sentiments to himself with silence. But Forest made it clear her views on entertainment were very much different.

"If you want some bloody entertainment go to the video store and rent Army of Darkness then!" Innocent people aren't your goddamn entertainment."

She stomped past the Amazonian in bridled gait until finally in front of the thrashing bird man still struggling to be free of its magical bonds. It is without a doubt that Forest would try to pacify the creature with her telepathy.

"Forest, I doubt it's going to list--" the doctor began and then stopped in wonder at the scene that would unfold before him, "Color me surprised."

Just like that, it stopped. The chains ceased to rattle as the bird relaxed to focus its attention upon the blonde. It was then Henry remembered that this thing was human before. The signatures of life were revealing hints of its previous life. He gave a look back at Grigori, signaling her to keep away from the two. At the least until birdman here would finally reach actual calm.

"Forest, can you ask him why he attacked Grigori?"

While Henry might have already guessed why, but this new show of intelligence does suggest he probably is wrong.

"And maybe ask his name?"

Showing an over-the-top pout, La Folia was slightly annoyed at being denied, her lust so copious that single drops were slowly running down her long, flawless legs. However she knew just as well as he did that he was not as above-it-all as he looked; A noticeable hardness in his pants was poking her naked thigh, only inches from her virgin entrance. As Gabriel worked whatever magic he had, she leaned into his front with her back, her impossibly perfect posterior rubbing very deliberately against his length, stopping him in his tracks.

Grinning, he said, "I should take you to my lair to ravish you."

"Oh, but do you think you can wait that long, Gabe-ri-el?", punctuating his name slowly by shaking her hips thrice against his crotch, desiring more friction, before she began walking just in front of him through the corridor of weird colors, a teasing sway to hips as she had drawn her underwear up slightly so that she could walk straight.

Truly, she herself may have overdone it just then.
