Quote from: Ellen
Uh, Kyle, how to put this. I was stabbed by somebody and all I know that Ash saved me. By turning me into a vampire. I'm kind of glad I'm still 'alive', but I think I'll have trouble adjusting. I didn't know people like you or her existed, it was just fantasy to me

Kyle nodded pensively. Hard to tell if Ash did the right choice here. Some would consider it compassionate. Others would argue that it was indeed cruel to condemn her to an eternal life.

"It should get better soon," he said with encouragement. "It's all new but eventually, everyone adapts to changes in their life. Being supernatural is the same. It comes with some neat advantages and drawbacks that suck. Some get more pros than cons though."

Quote
You earn for a living killing supernaturals? But you are a supernatural yourself, what's your reason for doing that?

"Hm, there's no deep meaning involved. Just that some people have to stand for those who can't defend themselves. Your average human doesn't have the means to deal with supernaturals. So, it falls upon some of the supernaturals to keep them in line. Well, that's roughly what we try to do, me and few others. You will meet them too if you tag along with Ash for a bit. Of course, there are some species that are too violent to be left alone, like werewolves. Those are to be disposed off as soon as possible."

He gave her a grin.

"That's the reason most of them fled to the no man's land. "

Deciding not to hold things back, the Chosen Undead broke the news to him, "She could be anywhere in this city, then. She might not even be here at all."

"She's here, s-she HAS to be here, she MUST b-be here!" stumbling over his own words, Caules counterargued. The sister that meant everything to him was out there, that much he knew, but god knows what could happen, no, what could've already happened to her. His sister wasn't naive or one to be fooled, but his subconscious screamed at him to find her this instant. Something about this city and how the secrets of the supernatural were shamelessly public worried him greatly.

"Don't start yelling again; You'll just attract unwanted attention. Let's go inside and figure out what you should do next. Calmly." The Chosen Undead motioned towards the entrance of the warehouse.

Taking a really deep breath and pushing his glasses back into their place, Caules tried his very best to calm down.

"Right, right, right. Sorry. j-Just give me a moment, okay?", following the armored figure as he opened the door to a warehouse. Truth be told normally this kind of situation would've made him suspicious, but this man seemed to genuinely want to help.

"Well, I don't need to do my job during daylight, so being nocturnal does not bother me. Neither this blood drinking stuff once I get hang of how to do it on my own" Ellen stated plainly. She did not consider her cursed nor blessed, rather that it simply happened to her. Otherwise, she would be deader than dead, and she was grateful for being alive in a way.

"Have a seat by the fire," The Chosen Undead said in a kind voice to the young man, "I'm sorry that I don't have any food or drink to offer you. I don't think normal humans would take too kindly to Estus."

Walking around to the other side of the fire, the Knight sat down. "I forgot to ask you your name."

"What say you, Grigori? Shall we make this city our playground?" the onmyouji asked, spreading his hands loosely at his sides in a gesture of invitation.

Grigori stood up, and she began smile.

"Very well, Uchiten. I have no doubt we will work wonders in this city. Is there anything in particular you have in mind? There are many sources of entertainment to be found in this city, and it would be simpler if you had something planned."

Paladin's eyes widened with surprise when the blast of lava melted the werewolf that had just hit him. However there was no time to ponder where the unexpected aid had come from. The other werewolf was distracted by the sudden death of its companion, so Paladin moved in, and with a single strike the beast was decapitated. With that done Paladin sheathed his blade, and look over to find the person who had helped him. There. A man in a wagon who was also being watched by many creatures.

Paladin made his way towards the wagon, but when he saw the looks that the creatures were giving him and the man in the wagon he unsheathed his sword. Some of them began to focus on him. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife, and Paladin began to get a little worried. He was not equipped to fight a crowd. He stopped right by the front of the wagon and said, "I hope that offer for a ride is still available."

Geralt, after he gave the werewolf he slain a proper burial, went on patrolling No Man's Land. His amulet detected bunch of monsters and he followed the direction. After he reached the area, he spotted two men in the area, watched over some creatures, one who was a swordsman too and the other one sitting in a wagon. "Need a helping hand?" Geralt said, unsheating his silver blade just in case.

Uchiten let out a devilish laugh.

"Oh, I have a few ideas." he answered. "But I would like to secure something of a base first. Preparation is key, see."

At his mental command, the two oni and the kitsune dematerialized, and he began to float up.

"Shall we go and find a place while I explain? There are a few things in this town I have yet to verify as well."

Wynn smirked as she shook Thomas Hale's hand and said, "A pleasure to meet you."

She looked back at the compound with the mechanical bird perched upon the rooftop.  She said, "Not having a title is a very freeing thing.  Do not wish it upon yourself to have you.  Responsibility forced upon you by another is a very confining thing."

******

Gabriel smirked at La Foila's plea as he continued to tease her nipple.  Amethyst eyes gleamed as his skin flared again.  He gave her other breast a playful squeeze and said, "Then proof it, my pretty Folly."

******

Ash clapped her hands and said, "Bravo,  bloody nice show, Draculas Three!"

Frost's eyes were died crimson, swollen with blood as he ripped himself off the stakes.  His wounds began to heal almost instantly as he rose to his feet.  Then he brushed blood off of his clothing as he moved towards the three of them.

"If the three of you are so fucking bad ass, why aren't you ruling the fucking cattle?" he asked, tilting his head.

Ash sighed and said, "Not everyone wants to rule the humans.  We were once mortals ourselves and besides, they have every right to live."

******

Forest winched as she left Dan alone, heading back to her washroom to get cleaned up.   She took a quick shower, washed off, and redressed.  She put on blue jeans and a black tank top, braiding her still damp hair to keep it out of her face and headed back to where Henry was with the sleeping girl.

It was hot.

It burned. Flames danced around him with wild abandon. The wood shuddered under the conflagration while crackling under its hot embrace.

He could hear a mix of Japanese and Korean yelling and screaming at and around him as his blade sunk into flesh. The smell of salt, ash, and iron was all too familiar to him in this campaign. The rocking of the boat influenced by the sway of the ocean failed to hinder his nimble footwork as he made grisly quick work of the soldiers coming at him from the deck.

Japanese blades glanced off his sword as he danced about like the sword dance of a Kisaeng surrounded by scarlet blossoms. He felt blood splatter against his ashen face while passing by each cut down bodies, their lives severed by him. They thudded soundly against the wood, followed by the ooze of blood that leaked from the newly made wounds. As he cut down his last target, Min hurriedly scanned his surroundings. His very sight filled by the dancing ashes and smoke.

Flames. Fire.

They continued to grow and consume closer and closer towards him.

"The ship's finished," was the only thing that crossed his mind.

"MIN!"

He heard someone call out for him. Looking down from the deck he could see a fellow member had secured a boat for him. While he was just about to jump over, Min quickly whirled around to deflect something metallic that rung soundly upon impact. But he wasn't graced with the opportunity to observe what was thrown at him.

Jumping away from the edge, Min rolled back up after he had dodged a violent swing. His sword steadily aimed at a blue-garbed individual armed with a spear. The operative had noticed a chunk of the ship's brow had been blown to splinters from the earlier attack, only serving to tighten his own scowl while the spearman leered.

Taking up on an alternate stance, Min's center of gravity shifted forward with blade leading. But the mast suddenly fell upon the deck, rocking the ship violently. An eruption of splinters blinded him as he held up a hand to protect his eyes.

Henry blinked.

The flames were gone. Only the ambivalent temperature of the room greeted him. The sight of beds and the walls assured he was not back on the boat. And the solid feel of plastic on his back and buttocks caused him to blink again. He felt disoriented, but alright nevertheless. The sound of footsteps rang in his ears. It sounded as if they were coming up. With the lack of life accompanying them, it was likely to be that vampire.

Once the footsteps stopped, Henry turned to face Forest. He noticed she didn't smell of old spaghetti from the trash can, evidence that she took it upon herself to wash up.

"How did it go?" he asked her with an elbow resting on the chair.

Forest stretched, throwing her arms above her head and answered, "He painfully transformed.  He's put up now though.  How's the sleeping girl?"

She walked over to Henry and peered at the girl.

Skepticism spread across Henry's face upon her statement.

"I hope you have good restraints. Or else we're going to have a... furry problem."

The doctor looked back at the girl still sleeping. The same as ever, remaining inside what dreams she may be in.

"Still asleep. Nothing's wrong," Henry sighed, "But I guess that's as good as it'll ever get. Got any ideas what to do with her?"

Forest nodded and replied, "Trust me, he's not going anywhere.  He even admitted that himself before he transformed."

She walked over to the girl and sighed.  She rubbed the back of her neck and said, "Honestly I'm not sure.  She needs to be deprogramed, but that's a wee bit out of my skill set."

Something about the singular fire in the otherwise quiet warehouse was calming to Caules. A gentle breeze packed with magical energy flooded the room. It was unlike any phenomenon he had ever seen.

Walking around to the other side of the fire, the Knight sat down. "I forgot to ask you your name."

Sitting down, one knee pressed close to his shoulder as he leaned on it, Caules began to introduce himself.

"Erm, Caules. Caules Forvedge. If you didn't catch it already while I was shouting, my sister's name is Fiore, in case you stumble into her or have met someone by that name."

Gabriel smirked at La Folia's plea as he continued to tease her nipple.  Amethyst eyes gleamed as his skin flared again.  He gave her other breast a playful squeeze and said, "Then prove it, my pretty Folly."

A mild purr escaped the whitehead as she then took a gentle hold on his shaft and, raising herself of of him temporarily, guided his length inside her, slowly letting herself onto it as she felt that incredibly feeling of him filling her up. With a moan she grasped his shoulders as she gently began rising up and down on his length.

After trying to feed the firebird for a good 5 minutes, holding the lightly roasted samosa in front of what he presumed to be it's beak, comically looking into a window on the other side of the room trying to gauge it's reactions, Karna returned to his own meal, wolfed down his remaining portion, and set up a gentle flame under each of the remaining dishes holding prepared portions of his cooking, keeping them at a reasonable warmth as Karna then went upstairs 2 floors, interested in interacting with the vampires he saved from a crushing death at the hands of the faux-Death God.

"Honestly I'm not sure.  She needs to be deprogramed, but that's a wee bit out of my skill set."

Catching the far end of Forest's words as he came to the landing of the third floor, Karna came into the room in all his brilliance, responding in a cruel but honest manner.

"She has been bred and trained from a young age to become a soldier. Few recover from that even with the best of aid, and fewer still can be claimed to be of full human function afterwards."

Despite her reassurances, Henry still didn't feel quite at ease. Though, it looks like he'll have to trust her for now.

"She has been bred and trained from a young age to become a soldier," a stoic voice heralded Karna's entrance, "Few recover from that even with the best of aid, and fewer still can be claimed to be of full human function afterwards."

"No kidding," Henry agreed with another sigh, "Though, I think we can start with taking off her armor. I don't imagine it's comfortable. And I wouldn't want her to be able to use that lightning again."

The chair creaked as the doctor stood up.

"I'll wait outside. Wouldn't be appropriate for me to be the one undressing her after all. I believe the same goes to you, Sir."

He gestured the Son of Surya to follow him.
