Caedia

A smile crossed the Arisen's face as the creature panicked because of the wounds given to it by the shadow blade. They could take advantage of this. Caedia gave a quick glance towards her new ally. She would have to know his name after this was all over.

The sharp pangs of pain from her ribs had lessened to a dull ache but the burning sensation in her abdomen quickly replaced it. Even with the pain of the first injury lessened she was lucky that single strike had not ravaged her organs.

Caedia readied herself to move. Ignoring the pain in her body she ran at her enemy again with the intent to distract her opponent. There was no chance she could permanently harm him, but her ally could so all she had to do was make an opening.

"I am Butler, and I attend to this castle. As you have shown far more politeness than our previous guests in venturing here and none of their foolish inclinations, I would ask you what your business here is, sir...?"

Wiseman

The warlock suppressed his surprise as a skeleton opened the door. Undead creatures did roam his land but they lacked the eloquence and politeness of this Butler. He seated himself in the chair that he had been directed to and began to speak.

"There is no need to call me sir, Butler. You may call me Wiseman. It is a title given to me by others but it works just as well as any other name. I arrived here because I wished to supply the lord of this castle with equipment if he requires it. Of course, I am a rather potent sorcerer as well. If the lord of this place would require someone of that particular skill set for a task I would perform work for him as long as I receive payment. All my currency seems to be invalid here and I would rather receive money through work than beg."

Butler

Butler had the gall to smile with his eye, in that odd way few would be able to tell due to his unchanging expression.

"You have chosen a most opportune time to seek your luck here then, Wiseman." He said, tipping his head. And taking an instant to straighten himself, the butler continued in an air of professionalism, "I believe my Lord will have great interest in hearing your proposal. If you are willing to wait for a short time, you may have an audience with him to discuss it directly. In the meanwhile, I can offer you some refreshments."

"Alright, old man. This time I'm driving. First, I want to get there without attracting too much attention. Second, I want to see for myself what I can do with this baby. Seldom I get to drive American cars"

Henderson looks somewhat hesitant, but soon relents, "Fine," he says, "Just don't raise your left knee while you're driving. Don't want to activate the anti-hijacker system."

Wiseman

A small smile appeared on Wiseman's aged face. "That is very good to hear and I thank you for the offer. A glass of water would be appreciated."

Butler

Butler nodded to Wiseman, before momentarily disappearing into thin air. Not ten seconds thereafter, he returned with a glass of water and a small plate with biscuits on a metallic tray that he deposited on the table in front of Wiseman.

"Please bear with waiting for fifteen minutes. I shall call you shortly." And with that, he turned and walked a few steps up the stairs before teleporting away.

Butler manifested before the door to Lord Vlad's throne room, and offered a curt knock for the sake of it before he entered. Prostrating to his knee under his master's gaze, he spoke.

"Favorable news. Our guest is interested in employment here, as it would. I asked him to wait below with some refreshments. Shall I," he paused for an instant, looking at the mess still present in the throne room, "get rid of that and prepare some tea?"

Vlad Drăculea

A knock.

"Enter."

"Favorable news. Our guest is interested in employment here, as it would. I asked him to wait below with some refreshments. Shall I," Butler paused momentarily. "Get rid of that and prepare some tea?"

Vlad reclined in his chair, his interest raised.

"Before you do, elaborate - what were you able to determine of his power? His skill? What is his name? I would not have my time wasted," the Lord of the castle said, the upper part of his body hidden in shadow, leaving only his eyes to gleam at Butler. "...And I believe some tea would be appreciated. The blend is left to your discretion."

Butler

"He introduced himself as Wiseman, though he claimed it was only a title." Butler rose from the floor as he continued his explanation. "He described his person as a potent sorceror as well, and from what I can tell, the declaration is not a light one. His interest was in supplying equipment, and performing any needed task relevant to his particular skillset in exchange for payment."

Bowing respectfully, he moved towards the back of the room to retrieve his cleaning utensils.

"His power at least, is obvious to any with the slightest sensibility", the servant said. "And he seemed to me like a fairly serious and well-cultured individual. If nothing else, he may be worthy of your personal assessment, my lord."

"Ohh, that's interesting stuff you installed it here" Mordred examined the car just in case. She had some knowledge of how cars worked, and even could repair them if there was such need "Flamethrowers, systems that can dump passengers..." The girl entered the car and sat behind the wheel "I think I got it more or less, don't worry old man. As for how far the garden is, it should be quite close".

As for the ride, Mordred remembered the layout of the city and managed to reach the destination without breaking traffic laws. "I know your style, but it's in our advantage this time to stay low key. If somebody rids of that fanatic, I think I could fancy a race to see who is the faster driver between us two. Maybe invite more challengers to make it more interesting"

"You can never be too careful," Henderson says, "If what I've got here now was enough, I wouldn't have lost Charlie. Darned good thing your place is close, its been a while since that bagel..."

Henderson considers the challenge, "That would actually compensate me handily for having to keep a low profile until he's gone, then. Do you have anyone particular in mind?"

"I don't have any particular details in mind, but we could stage a street race across the city. Not only driving skills will count, but how well one can navigate through it" she explained "If people with special talents participate, I won't consider using them a cheating. I won't hold back myself either."

Forest

Forest slid her phone back into her pocket.  Her face as as expressionless and lovely as a doll's, but there was something flashing in her indigo eyes.  She looked at Law and nodded.

She answered, "I just got a call from a bobbie I help.  Apparently there's been," her Scottish-like lit turned something more proper and Welsh, "A ghastly murder.  Supernatural and involving kids.  No one hurts kids in my town and gets away with it."

She clinched her fists and then Calico asked, “You know someone named Saber?”

Forest tilted her head, nodded and said, "Yeah, I do.  Blond girl, big glowing sword?  Likes to eat everything?  About yay high?"  Forest measured to the top of Saber's head with her hand.

Saber

The blond looked at the fellow detective and said, "I have called Forest.  I think her expertise will be needed.  I hope you do not object."

Then her stomach rumbled and she blushed slightly.  "Not to mention we can dine together after this."

Forest paid for their meals and had the coffers full enough that Saber could eat to her heart's content.  She felt slightly guilty about this, but Forest really didn't seem to have any qualms about it.

Murder. There was an uncontrolled glee present in that whisper of the wind.

Law found his face growing grim. The Driver had wanted him to bring vengeance around like a sledgehammer, to become a reaper of sorts. Looks like here and now, he could get his wish. Forest did not seem the type of person to play around with this sort of thing. So someone had supernaturally murdered a kid. Whatever had killed him or her, Law had a feeling he'd be able to figure it out. Otherwise, there had to be some seriously pissed off ghosts around there he'd need to convince to move on somehow. Even in the Nexus, that was important. The dead had to come to terms with what had happened, and violent death had a tendency to (according to urban legends at least) make some seriously pissy ghosts.

We're going.

"I'll tag along. If you're offering me a place to stay, least I can do is help you out however I can." Lawrence said. He shuffled into the warmer doorway, out of the wind.

Yes. We are. Are you ready, Sin-Eater, to cleanse some souls?

Hopefully.

Location: At Law, Forests, and Shirou’s location.

Small chimes echoed through the air, before there were no more sounds.

And then a girl no older then 12, dressed in rags, her hair pulled up into a pony tail, and a bracelet with small bells on it, spoke up from the edge of the roof. She was covered in dirt and filth, almost as if she has been living in the wild, away from other people, for some time.  The oddest thing however was the rabbit doll with an eye patch, and despite her filth, there was not a spec of dust on it.

“Hey, hey” She smiled, a bright innocent smile with no malicious intent, “Do you want to play a game with me?”

She skipped over to the group, no, more specifically the man and woman that were in close proximity. And when she reached them she looked up, her eyes shining with curiosity as she stared at them.

Mr. Tar

Henry made a sort of vague approving expression. "Fine by me," he said, "She's probably less in over her head than us, at any rate. And I've never met her, so I'm curious."

Then there was a light organic rumble, and Henry turned his head from what he was looking at to see Saber blushing. He couldn't help but chuckle.

"I have donuts in the car." He said. "And sure, dinner sounds good."
