Nanako

By now, the squirrel girl figured they were finally close enough that the leap wouldn't risk injuring the boy. With that in mind, Nanako moved the boy from her back to her front, holding him snugly against her chest as she tensed her legs just a bit, muscles visible in that instant before she launched herself off the roof, high into the air. They had a moment or two of weightlessness before gravity started dragging them back down again, the pair falling towards a sizable mansion, kitted out with the standard fanciness. A large lawn and sizable fountain were immediately apparent, though she had enough time to pick out a few people moving inside the building.

Then it was time for them to land, Nanako having aimed the jump so they'd be coming in at an angle, maximizing the time they had to come to a stop and minimizing the risk of injury. It was here that the squirrel girl's decision to change the boy's position worked out, the squirrel girl taking pretty much all of the force on that landing, tearing a trench into the lawn with the landing and coming to a stop within spitting distance of the door.

"Alright, get inside, I've got to go get the others," Nanako said quickly before turning around.

The squirrel girl took a few steps away from the boy before crouching down, legs clearly tensing up as she took a moment to judge the distance before she exploded off the ground, suddenly enough that it might have seemed like she'd simply vanished into an explosion of dust and dirt. The squirrel girl's leap sent her rocketing back towards her friends and the kids' bodyguards, Nanako cocking back a fist, muscles visibly tensing again as she waited to get close enough to let loose, aiming for the largest concentration of bugs.

Ezekiel

Cracks like those of shattered glass ripped open the dark skies, ripples of light ruptured all over the clouds, cracked and torn but persisting. Changing into something else.

"That's my line." The moment the scepter was spinning, he was already on the move thanks to the warriors instincts still embedded into his vessel. Grazed by the beam, his armor shattered and his left arm was incinerated into nothingness due to the intense heat, but it did not stop him. He skillfully evaded the the brunt of the beam by a hair's breath by surfing his flames, soaring through the now shattered black sky like a comet in quick bursts of extreme speed, zigzagging unpredictably as his hands formed many signs and incantations. His four wings stretched far. darkness and the light of flame mingled...

It was just oh so sad.

CALAMITY STRIKE

Violet streams of corruption and lightning surged around him, and formed a gigantic dragon made of naught but black energies, magics from before the dawn of creation erupting one after the other before the beast was hurled at his foe with wrathful abandon.

Shinji

Shinji jumped back and pulled himself back to the monk, attracting his black sword as well before landing.

"Careful. Something changed..." He prepared himself for the final stretch. He had a plan, but he couldn't be reckless about this. What did that bastard have in her sleeve this time? His eyes narrowed..

Victor

A crimson glow stretched over the dark roads, illuminated by the flames on the broken cars. Each one was riddled with bullet holes, a reminder of the sheer destruction that occurred when damaged. He could see it, her beautiful form standing atop the lifeless corpse, her heel digging into his back.

The man covered in blood and bullet holes was the police chief. It was his last attempt, an all out war against his former wife. In this final confrontation, he had lost. He looked into those harsh emerald eyes. Those once glimmering gems were staring down at him with all the beauty and cruelty of the sun. Just as the sheer increased proximity of the sun can drain the life from the surface of the planet, the mere fact that she was close to him, baring down on the world with her intensity, drained his soul of all hope. It was at this moment, he gave up on turning her back. This moment was the one in which he realized he failed to save her.

Victor took a deep breath."It was a few years ago, right after Mai was born. We were in a rough spot financially. Not to mention, we lived in a bad neighborhood. You know, back in the day, this was actually a nest for all sorts of monsters and such. I remember Valentine came home from work, mentioning something about a spirit, something that knew how to get rid of the gangs for good. I think that spirit granted her some kind of power."

He paused, taking a sip of his tea. "Turns out a lot of the so called monsters were just a group of delinquent gangs working together. They were all low level mages, combining illusion magic with violence, terrorizing the citizens. It didn't take much to take care of them. But well...."

Once again, he stared at his tea, spinning the water around his mug with a quick motion in his wrist. "Something changed. She left the house, said something about taking care of something, keeping us safe. When I caught up to her, she was far more powerful than she was before. It had gotten so bad that the chief decided she needed to be taken care of swiftly. Of course he failed. Another was elected and he failed. Eventually, the merging chiefs stopped trying and a small underground within this district grew."

Victor put his cup down on the table in front of him and stared down at the two girls. "If you take her down, you might be able to bring this district to an era of saftey that it hasn't seen in a while. But if you can save her, you will restore my family."

Tsumiko

The twintailed girl lowered her head and began to think about these revalations. It was torturous. If only she'd been there sooner...

If I'd been here sooner, I could have prevented all of this, and this family would be living a happy married life. I could have prevented this tragedy...

She bit her lip.

It would have been so easy. She could have tracked down the mages with her bugs and devoured the scum alive for abusing their power and tormenting innocent children who'd done nothin--

"KUH-!" "No, that's not me! That's not right, Sa-"[/color] For a brief moment, all of the chaos in Tsumiko's mind seemed to intensify and clash within the purple-haired girl, but a singular thought burst out with such vigor that Thea was able to catch parts of it.

"No! You-This!-Be quiet a-nd-listen to you-er!"

She cried out, shaking her head, her purple eyes bloodshot. She grabbed her heart, and then her cup of tea. With a quavering hand, she brought the shaking mug up to her mouth and dumped it into her open mouth, the nearly boiling water scalding her mouth and throat as it went down.

But the pain was good. It focused her mind, and she calmed down quickly. With a slight blush, she cleared her throat as if nothing was wrong. She reached out and clasped Victor's hand. His hand felt worn and tired, just like hers.

"We'll bring her back alive, even if she's kicking and screaming the entire way." She gave him a melancholy smile. "I-ngh-failed the last time I tried, but that was eight years ago.
I'm not going to fail you again
I'm not going to fail you again."

As she said those words, the chaos in her mind seemed to abate, at least temporarily. It felt as if the girl's mind was temporarily at peace with itself.

Ivanna

Kicking her small legs, the child's torso twisted in the air as she began her descent to the ground. An enormous mass of energy and corruption was crystalizing in her opponent's hands. The clouds, the darkness, the malice, the hate...

She could feel it all. Her expression remained as unchanging as a mountain, as stalwart as a spartan as she watched it coalese into a dragon and came hurtling towards her at truely frightful speeds.

"Begone." She bellowed without emotion' seeming totally disinterested as she raised her hand up. It began to glow with a pure white vibrant light. The rays pierced through the clouds, and brought peace to the hearts of those watching the war from down below. It banished their doubts as they continued fighting.

The dragon impacted upon her hand, biting down upon it, but instead found itself being destroyed from inside by the light, which shone through small cracks forming all throughout its body. Only an instant later, it burst into thousands of little black shards which evaporated into the brilliant peaceful light.

"Such tricks and sorcery have nothing on the treacherous machinations of Lucifer, scum. I'll deal with you in but a moment, and send you on towards your judgement shortly. The honorable Saint Peter shall consign you to the depths of hell."

She pointed her scepter at him, and dozens of beams burst forth from it, all of them shooting towards Ezekial, spreading out as they got closer to prevent him from dodging.

BE GONE FROM MY PRESENCE!!!

Her bellow had a gravitas to it beyond that of her appearance, as if she were a being far beyond what she appeared to be. Her roar shook windows and forced the populace to the ground in reverance to their great saivor.

Ezekiel

"What!? - GRAAAARGHHHHHRRRRRHHH!!!"

Hahahahah!  Such brilliant light, such a godly spirit! It was enough to shake him to the core.

He tried to defend from the beams. Oh, he really did. But she, they were fast, oh so fast. And he wanted to taste her resolve, feel it inside him.

It felt so fiery, so true, so good...

He destroyed most with his own darkness, but not all, and four gaping holes were shot through his body, viscerally opening his face and torso up like a book.

A fatal wound. Blood spewed from his ravaged body for the first time in years. He licked his lips.

"Man, you really got me on the ropes. If I didn't activate my darkness in time, I would've been a goner~"

Even if he wanted to die, they wouldn't let him. Shadows filled every void and gap in his body, oozing from his mouth like tendrils, crawling out of his eyes like insects. And In a few moments he was as good as new.

"Fwaaaah... That's better. Now then, I'm satisfied. Let's talk." He winked at her, smiling like an old friend. An old and very naked friend.

Suerte

Suerte's eyes widened as the beam blasted through her wall and soared passed her head.  Mages...  Just cause they can do a few tricks they think they are gods or something.  At the very least, it was clear that woman had serious firepower.  She would need to reinforce something far stronger to create suitable cover.

"Hun, I don't wanna hurt you," she said, drawing her twin pistols anyway.  Despite her words she was grinning from ear to ear.  "Well, thats a bit of a lie.  I don't want to hurt Vanilla.  You and your sexy goddess ass could be taken down a few pegs."

Several loud cracks filled the room, followed by hot lead flying directly at Elizbeth's torso.  It probably wouldn't kill her.....right?

Elizabeth

Elizabeth simply yawned. The bullets simply hung suspended in space for several moments, before completely diverting their courses and soaring all the way back around Suerte at unnaturally slow speeds. The bullets laizily went around Suerte and impacted the wall behind them, forming a cute heart on the wall.

"Can you put down the tile now, if that's the best you can do? Let's put our differences behind us. I believe you two wanted to get some work, or something?"

She sat down in the air and crossed her legs, allowing Lily to move once more. But her barrier was now up, and her eyes were humming.

Valerie

"You presume far too much little girl. You cannot silence the void, the void is everlasting, and your night is naught but a fleeting illusion. An illusion I am far too happy to br-"

That was as far as the Dragon God got with it's monolouge before the violent scyth of the Vampire King slammed into it and brought her into the sky.

Valerie had taken the chance to rush her long standing foe, grabbing her scythe on the way and was now following her prey with a mighty leap.

"You fool, the sky is my domain!"

Indeed it was, wings of pure black darkness sprouted from it's back along with an equally menacing reptilian tail. Faster than a speeding bullet,  she flew straight towards the vampire.

"I was counting on that ."

Valerie swung her weapon with the precision of a master surgeon. It was far too late to stop, the abominable being impaling itself on the sharp end of the scythe, it's torso completely pierced.

"Gahkjg.."

Valerie either got the good deal or the short end of the stick depending on how you view it. The fierce momentum of the beast was as unyielding as before, the sheer force of the impact knock her away like a giant cannon, blasting her past the skies and away.

The dragon fell, crashed into the grounds headfirst as she desperately struggled to dislodge the scythe, her own body proving her greatest enemy now, the flesh was far far too unyielding. She roared out once more, but not in anger, no not anger but cold hard fury and heart-wrenching pain.


Meanwhile Valerie flew past the forest, past a river and even over some hills that were quite respectable in height and landmark of it's own. Right into that place, the place she'd rather not go, she had a bad feeling about this.

And of course with her luck, this was were she'd fall, part of her wished the damn dragon had hit her harder, so she wouldn't have to deal with this. That woman, she was completely unreasonable.

What's worse, she could see her now, with her enhanced sight, she could clearly make out the figure of that Empress below her, and she was gonna fall right next to her. Oh what a joyous day.

Steaven

"Wait h-"

The girl wasn't listening.  Before Steaven could finish, he found his head in between two wonderful bouncy orbs.  He felt the blood flow to his lower body just as quickly as they flew through the air.  In fact, he didn't even notice them flying through the air, nor what she said after they landed.  All he could do was mindlessly stare at the squirrel girl's curvaceous figure.  In this moment, all he could think of was one thing.

Am I a furry?

THE SWARM!

The creatures stared up at the arrows and shrieked in anguish.  It was clear that they knew what they meant.  They scattered once again, but similar to before, a few did not escape the blast.  By the time they had started their charge, they were down to half of their original size.  However, with a smaller size came greater maneuverability.  Not to mention, they were learning.

Seeing the oncoming attack, they simply scattered, hiding under cars, sewer manholes and even nearby dumpsters.  They stared at them from afar, shrieking in anger and fear.  At this point, they were only half size and not very far away.  Each one was no more than a few car lengths away from them, but all were unwilling to act.

Noah

Delicate feet came down on his body, overstimulating his body with an intense oppressive pleasure.  It felt like it had been a whole day since had seen that body from below.  It was so delectably soft.

Nana didn't look too happy about the treatment.  Her snake like eyes shot daggers at Lulu.  It was clear she still didn't trust her.

Well it didn't matter.  Those two would either have to get along or kill one another.  He didn't care which.  Besides, at the moment, he didn't care all that mattered was those delicious feet pressing on his now rock hard body.  Well that was until...

"Woah!" he yelled putting his hands up in surrender.  "Lu-"

That was the last words he spoke before his nuts were sent to heaven.

"Hohoho, That's ok. I've never lost a game*, ever." She deposited the girl on the ground. "Now find a place I can use my skills to make us a bite to eat!"

Hannah

"Okay, okay, hold on." She brushed herself off, checked herself for any traces of messiness from herself with one of her compacts, and then settled in to find her crystal ball somewhere in her bag of holding. Hannah hadn't used it since she'd graduated college and used it to voyeur on the really nasty frat parties on campus without actually going to them, so it was a little dusty...

But it was there, round and about the size of a softball fitting in her palm. She began to move her fingers over the smooth glass and excite the enchanted sand within into swirling about. The sorceress began to chant, ancient words in a dead tongue describing just what it was she wanted to find so as to give shape to the demonic energy seething within her.

The ball grew warm in her hand, and began to reveal the way to... the nearest basketball court. Nearest active basketball court, that is.

The video call was minimized down to a small screen that moved to the top right while a map of the Nexus loaded up along with directions to the district. "The monsters are over here. A lot of the people are being evacuated by other police forces and are being given direction with some of my help. I've also enlisted some supernatural animals to hold them off for now. How fast can you get there?"

Auspicious Breeze

"Hmmm..." She did her best to trace the street layout with her finger, frowning in concentration. She wasn't the smartest girl, but she was pretty good at figuring out where she was going! So then Breeze nodded and said, "Ten minutes, maybe? At least so I don't wear myself out before I get there. I'll be there soon!"

As they headed towards the court, BB placed her hands around her back and stretched. "Pretty nifty tool you've got there. I've never seen that sort of talent before. So magic is real, then?"

"About a hundred dollars a round, I think?" She was doing her best to remember what she'd managed to pick out from the ball. She shrugged and adjusted her hold on her bag, wondering if she should get changed for this. "I think I'm gonna want to change into something a little less... 'obviously a sorceress'," She admitted. Before BB's eyes Hannah had already made her cloven feet into regular feet and slipped into some sandals, her wings and tail and horns vanishing.
