"However, considering you have a version of me's arm, Rin, and a new person inside of you I don't think the wish was what you wanted," he said with a shake of his head, "Unless you have some weird kink that I'm not aware of."

He smirked slightly at the last, hoping to soften the blow of the sarcasm he couldn't shut off at this point in time of his existence.

"Your Sempai wasn't enough to save you, was he?" he asked with a guarded expression as he looked at her.

Sakura

Sakura turned away. "Mmph." She made a noncomittal noise. "That assumes coherent thought on my part. Rin lost, he lost, saber lost, rider lost. I made a wish to be together forever, and this was the result."

[Elf]

Emiya

He walked up to her and placed a hand on the shoulder that wasn't connected to his arm.

"So we find a Grail, I potentially get myself killed saving one of you or have to commit some minor atrocity, which I've done worse, and then you correct your wish from the Monkey's Paw mistake that it became," Emiya said to her.

He turned her around to face him and said, "So then you can be with Rin, the idiot, Rider, and Saber for as long as you want.  And Tsumiko can live her life like she wants."

Sakura

Sakura shook her head apprehensively. "No." She answered. "You're not allowed to risk your life. I've lost enough important people to me. I've lost everything and everyone. I'm not losing you too, and I know Rin feels the same way."

[Elf]

Emiya

"Fine, I won't risk my life because it'll upset you and Rin," Emiya said with a shrug, "But that doesn't mean I'm not going to help you find a way to fix this."

I'll tell her that, and if I do end up losing my life to fix this then so be it.  It's not like I'm doing anything with it anyway other than fighting monsters in the Slums and repairing stuff, he thought nonchalantly.

Sakura and Rin

"Liar!" The girls pointed at him, eyes blazing. Both of them had easily seen right through it.

"Senpai wouldn't give in so easily!"

"Emiya-Kun isn't the sort to casually agree to do the safe thing!

Emiya

Well, fuck, he thought as Sakura and Rin's voices cried out at him as their body pointed at him.

He shrugged and said, "I'm older and more cautious."

He sighed, knowing that the two women wouldn't be happy with his still pretty apparent lack of self.  Or self-preservation.  He was existing and the main reason he would come home is because Tohsaka needed someone to feed and care for him.  Even though as a cat he was more than able to take care of himself.

"But I still need to help the three of you," he said with a shake of his head, "I know Rin's not happy with the arrangement."

Rin

Rin frowned. "It's not so bad as to be painful. Anymore."

She frowned, leaned back, and closed her eyes. "Tsumiko's waking up soon, Archer. Don't overwhelm her again. And don't tell her about any of this. We won't forgive you if you get hurt."

And then, the girl's eyes rolled up into her head, and Tsumiko woke up.

She blinked blearily, rubbing her eyes. "Did I pass out again? My head really hurts, for some reason..."

Emiya

She has a right to know, Rin, Emiya thought as Rin's persona became dormant again as Tsumiko regained dominance.

He smiled at the girl and said, "Yeah, you did.  You need to be careful with your Tracing.  I know it's fun and useful, but you can burn yourself out with it really quickly."

He grabbed a chair and said, "Here, sit down, I can get you something to help with your headache."

Tsumiko

Tsumiko blinked. That didn't sound right?

She shook her head. "No, really, what happened?"

[Elf]

Emiya

The white haired man grinned lopsidedly at her and rested his hand on her head.

Emiya said, "Well, I think you got lightheaded after you traced Caliburn and eventually conked out.  If I hadn't been faster, you would have just collapsed on the floor."

He shook his head as he walked to the oven.  "Tracing Noble Phantasms like that isn't an easy skill; you can burn out your circuits if you go too hard too fast."

Excellent deflection, worthy to distract even Rin, he thought to himself.

[Aiden]

Vega

He took a final, haggard step back and heaved heavily. Only when he noticed she had stopped, did Vega gasp.

Death.

The force that welled up before his eyes, faster than he could twitch, was shooting towards him without mercy. The trees surrounding him, the clouds in the sky, the rain pouring down on him. He could see none of it. His body, crushed by pain, felt like it was floating in space. The only thing that felt real in this world was the girl coming to him with her fist clenched. How? He couldn't move, she was too fast. Even faster than before, it was like she was becoming light! Her instrument of destruction came closer, closer, he tried to move away, but before he could do anything-

He slipped. His foot tried to move back, but the slightest twitch pushed the mud under him, and he lost his balance. Now, he was falling backwards, in a world that seemed to have slowed down to a crawl. The only sound the ear shattering beating of his own heart, rushing like gunfire. His mask was sent flying by the blow, and one could see a rictus on his face, half enraged, half terrified, and half overjoyed. 

His back was falling closer and closer to the earth, while hers was rising higher and higher to the sky, like a sun. Her fist almost seemed to glow, mock him.

"Ahh... I see. You are truly magnificent..." Now that his mask was ripped And with every ounce of strength he had, before she could fall back down to him and finish him, his hand moved. Slowly, haphazardly, but it managed to sweep forward. All he needed to do was toss his cloth a the girl, just a little longer. Just a little bit more...

Mira

The one problem with this move was that its momentum carried her up a few more meters before gravity began to take hold once again. Mira turned as her ascent reached its apex, facing down to the ground she tore up with her legs and the opponent who was soon to come to rest there. She adjusted her angle so that when she fell down onto him it would be with both feet first, crushing him into the dirty! Her eyes gleamed with the excitement of finishing off such an interesting enemy...!

But that very downward push prevented her from properly avoiding whatever that cloth was supposed to do.

Vega

Haah...haaa.... It was done. In that instant, his expression turned into a bloodcurdling smile, like a hawk ready to bite down on his prey, and his eyes were that of a handsome devil.

"HOWEVER!!" In an instant, he regained composure, and with a magnificent sweep of his arm, he tossed the cloth. The winds carried it, the rains threatened to tear it apart, and then, his body was shielded by that wall. Yes, for that one moment, that one second, his form was invisible. Until her feet came crashing down!!

But all they found was the earth, cracked and shattered by her strength. That shape... the form of raw destruction upon the earth. Even that was beautiful when carved by her. But he had vanished. He shouldn't, but he did. And now, her feet were dug inside the earth. Was this-

"No one can escape the fate that was chosen for them." A voice suddenly whispered from behind her, and the mask emerged from the darkness. A cool breeze behind her shoulder betrayed movement...

Well damn it, she looks like she's about to cry, he thought, And why wouldn't she?  She has two people living inside of her and probably isn't even aware of it.

"Well, when's the last time you ate?  It could be low blood sugar as well," he asked.
