Her finger hit him harder this time and sent him to the ground. "Some horny guys are making Lewd images of me cause I'm a hot pop idol and I don't even get anything from it hmpf the nerve of them. It's Valerie who encourages it, she gets a thrill out of creeps desiring one of her girls that they can never have..."

Then she flipped around to face Yusho and along with her so did all the ghouls, all of them were glaring at him in synch.

" And you! Don't think I can't smell Valerie on you, she fucked you didn't she? And here you are lecturing your apprentice 9n moderation, I hate hypocrits more than anything..."

Nika

"I'd rather celebrate the Round 1 with a drink, as much as my heart and soul tell to have another go."

Thrilled about facing Sakura again rather than phased by the implicit threat of the creature, her smile looked downright savage with the fangs fully bared. But her sense of aesthetics revolted against just rushing into the fray.

"I'm annoyed but this scenery. Going all out under the rays of the sun? The night is our domain and our birthright. There is no proper time than when the night is still young. Name the place and I'll be there by the midnight."

Sakura

"I'm still fond of the day." Sakura's shadow calmed down and returned to normal, although at closer look, something was definetely still there. She smiled, and even though her blood still boiled for a fight, she pulled herself back down. The purplehead suddenly grabbed onto Nika's hand and began to pull her along. "But I understand the dislike for it. It's much calmer when we're within these mists."

After fighting her, Sakura was a lot more comfortable around this strange vampiric elder. She was sure that, if it came down to it, she could tear her apart with her magic, unless she was hiding her full power as well. It wasn't something she could discount, but...

Sakura began running at speeds far beyond that which a human would be able to keep up with. "I'll fight you any time. Maybe you can give me a few pointers to clean up my style."

Yusho

He coughed into his palm. Like he woke up suddenly, but realized there was nothing to be alarmed about, he straightened his gaze at the vampire. "One night's affair does not equate being constantly distracted by horny thoughts."

Yusho shook his head, but offered his fallen student an arm to get up. Pulling him to his feet, he continued fixated on Emilia. She said that, but he wasn't convinced she was too different a breed of creature from her king. However, this was a fact of becoming an icon: you could not control what others made of the image that lived independent of you.

"Still, that sounds like a right bucket of shit to waddle through," he said. "So what might said ruler be up to at this moment?"

Roman

"Oh..." he said, his face turning beat red.  Roman's hands covered his forehead, as the hit hurt a lot more than he thought.  "Does that mean it was wrong to uhh.... use it?  I'm sorry this is a weird thing to talk about but uhh.... are you uncomfortable with that sort of thing?"

DUMBASS why bring that up!  You could still have a shot with her!

Forest

Something soft fell across her body and she realized she had more room to stretch out. 

Then she realized Taro wasn't beside her anymore.

She sat up in an instant and her eyes widened at his expression before hers softened and she smiled as well.  She said, "But . . . I really . . . didn't . . . you did . . ."

Taro

Taro took a deep breath, walked up to her and kissed her on the forehead.  "Sorry then," he said, nodding.    "Would you like something to drink?" he asked, walking over to his fridge.  "I have all sorts of lovely drinks I took from various districts before Valarie gave me this job."

Forest

"I'll take orange juice if you have it, please," she said as she ran a hand through the tangled locks of her blonde hair.

She tilted her head and said, "Well . . . you know . . . I liked it right?"

Taro

The silver haired vampire let out a little laugh.  "No one moans like that if they aren't enjoying themselves," he said, bending over to grab some orange juice from his closet.  For some reason there was a fridge back there.  "And women typically don't get that wet.  Although, I guess a woman who wakes up from a post sex nap with a smile is even better sign than that."

Forest

Forest found herself smiling as she watched Taro grab something from a mini-fridge in his closet.

"Bugger, I don't know how to respond to that . . ." she said as she pulled the blanket up to her nose.  Wide indigo eyes met his crimson ones and she asked, "Do . . . Are we able to feed off each other?  Other vampires like us I mean."

Taro

"Oh yes," he said, handing her a can of orange juice.  They weren't that high quality, but Taro enjoyed the hominess that cheap cans brought.  "Drinking from another vampire is like tasting a glass of fine wine.  Its bitter, but it feels good."

Forest

"Just I know that feeding is going to become a thing I'll need to do and soon," she said as she frowned at the can.

She raised an eyebrow at him and said, "Dear, we're going to have a talk about proper orange juice."

Taro

Taro took in a deep breath, closing his crimson eyes as he savored that simple moment.  "I don't know.  If it gets another dear out of you then i'm happy to keep getting these orange juices.  Besides, it has sentimental value.  I took this orange juice while on a job for Valarie in the slums.  There was a little girl starving from malnourishment.  I killed the guy in the other alley and took two cans of orange juice.  One I gave to the girl and the other I kept.  I suppose memories don't taste as good when they age, but from the sound of it, you need that orange juice just as much as that girl right?"

Taro bent over and picked out another can, this time grape juice.  "I am more of a grape juice person personally."

Forest

"What happened to that little girl?" Forest asked with a tilt of her head.  "After you gave her the orange juice?"

Taro

"I played with her and we danced together until she passed out," he said.  "Later on I sent agents to see if she was still alive.  I think it had been a year.  Turned out she had passed away a month after I gave her that orange juice.  I sometimes wonder if she lived longer because I gave her the strength to live on, or if I gave her just enough hope to give up."

Forest

The blonde sighed, shook her head, and said, "You should have taken her with you.  You have a lot of resources, you could have helped her."

Still, he's got his soft spots, she reflected as she got up from the couch and moved over to him.  That much was evidenced when he was alone with her.  She rested against him, leaning her head over his shoulder.
