Forest

Forest sent to Taro, Honestly, it was almost an . . . impulse decision.  I'll talk more about it when Valerie isn't here.  Not because I'm going to betray her, but because it's kind of personal and . . . a tad embarrassing.

Also, I never thought you were a fool.  A bit batshit crazy, but not stupid.

She stared as Valerie regrew her arm at a rapid rate.  Forest blinked and whispered, "Holy Piccalo . . ."

The blonde peered at Valerie's new arm and whistled.  "So, what do you mean by living?"

Could I get pregnant?  Have children? she thought, and in her hopeful excitement she forgot she was still linked to Taro.

Taro

"THE INHUMANITY!" Taro yelled, clapping his hands for her.  "A FEAT ONLY POSSIBLE THANKS TO THE AWESOME POWER OF OUR ANCIENT QUEEEEEEEEEN! NO KING.  NO EMPEROR GOD JESUS MAN FROM SPACE!"

Upon hearing those thoughts Taro grew silent, the only indication that he heard her thoughts being the eyes shifting away from Valaire to Forest.  He kept his jovial smile, getting on his knees and bowing.  He liked to think he made a good hype man for his master.

"Ohohohoo...Forest."

She finally calmed down or at least appeared to have, though she was clenching and unclenching the fist on her new arm, showing if anything that it worked properly.

"Forest... By living I mean that you will function biologically like a human, your heart will beat again and you be warm, cast a shadow and be seen in mirrors or whatever nonsense your kind has to deal with. That won't be a problem anymore. However, the sun will still be a threat. There's some other benefits too, like how your powers will grow with age."

Forest twisted the ring on her finger and bit her lip at Valerie's words.

"What's the catch?" the blonde asked as she folded her arms across her chest.

[Bern]

Valerie

Valerie blinked.

"Hah.... Why would there be a catch? I trust yo are smart enough to realize I want your support and aid in the future. It might not be today or tomorrow, but someday I will have need of you. Of course I will not make you do something you are not suited for so do not worry about that."

"In my experience there's always a catch," Forest said with an eyebrow raised.

However, she did take a peek in Valerie's mind to see if there was any hidden agenda that the Vampire King was hiding.

All Forest could see was haphazard thoughts about wanting more allies, for some threat that had something to do with vampire haters, but also about how cute Valerie thought Forest was, idly wondering if the other blonde preferred to be top or bottom.

"I suggest you get out of my head before I remove yours. Do not think I am not familiar with the slimy feel of a telepath crawling around."

Forest disengaged her mind with a smirk and a shrug. 

"And how many telepaths do you have at your beck and call?" Forest asked with an avian tilt of her head.  "I know it's something your kind doesn't have naturally."

Taro

Duke Taro placed a hand on Forest's shoulder.  "I ask that you refrain from probing her mind as well," he said, impulsively squeezing as his mind spun about.  "Peering into someone's mind without permission is like raiding their house looking for a diary.  Its a breach of privacy."

As for the telepaths, you can figure that out if you accept her offer.  You will be a noble after all, he sent to her.

"I know a few, but they prefer to have their privacy left intact and I will honor that request." She sighed. "You will have to find that out on your own, I cannot show too much favoritism, is that not right Taro?"

Forest

Forest blinked as Taro squeezed her shoulder.  The gesture was sweet, and almost odd coming from him.  She bit the inside of her cheek and reached up to squeeze the hand resting on her shoulder.

"Well, that makes sense.  So, what would my duties be as a noble?  I just want to make sure my skill set fits what you're asking for, Your Highness," Forest said.

Do you want me to accept her offer? she asked Taro curiously.

Taro

Taro ran over to Valarie's side, smiling like an idiot.  "You could show more favoritism my lady," he said, nudging her shoulder with his big globe head.  "You can be so meeeaaan sometimes!  It drives me crazy!"

As he reached down to grab his hardening dick in his pants and thought to Forest. Man I love it but HATE it when she blueballses me.  Wait..... Oh....  you didn't hear that.....Wait yes you did....  I WANT TO FUCK EVERYBODY HERE!

Then there was silence in his mind, complete radio silence, followed by a single thought.  I wouldn't mind having you as part of our organization.  You deserve a higher rank than bodyguard considering all you've done so far.

"Do whatever you want, the rank you will be granted will not come with any land to govern. So feel free to bother Taro if you feel bored." Then she turned to the Duke in question.

"I would spare you a lot more attention if you would get out of that dumb suit sometime."

Forest

At Taro's randy tirade Forest started giggling, which turned into all out laughter.  Her indigo eyes gleamed with mirth as she looked at the Duke.  You're really not shy at all, are you? she sent to him, her tone more than a little teasing.

She frowned at Valerie's words.

Not that she wanted land to govern; she didn't want to be a ruler like Wynn did.  From what Valerie was saying, it seemed that the Vampire King just wanted a high level mercenary at her beck and call.  Considering what absurd regeneration abilities Forest had seen of the vampires of the King's lineage, she'd have a hard time in a fight that wasn't one on one.  And that was just because the power gap.

Plus reflection!  And maybe the ability to have children!  Oh, and better regeneration.

"But come on Val, the tail wags.  There has to be some little motor or something that makes it do that," Forest said with a grin before frowning.  "Or at least I hope so.  I hope it's not some arse plug that he has to shake his bum around to get it to wiggle."

She shook her head and threw up her hands.  Then she bowed and said, "I accept your offer."

Duke Taro ripped off his dog suit, revealing his birthday suit.  No, he wasn't wearing any underwear under that dog suit.  He stood behind Valaire, his fangs bared. No point in hiding things from a mind READER!  She's going to pet me and suck my dick, and pet me more, then fuck me old style, then on my desk..... WOOOO!  THEN I GET TO GET PET!

Between his tall stature and her short but curvy body, it looked like a man ready to sexually pounce on his pray.  The totally not naked Duke bowed, his posture as elegant as a man befitting his position, his skinny but toned muscles tightening as he held his position at the bottom of the bow.

"Then its official Forest, you are now a Noble."
