Her blue eyes were fixated solely on Forest as she took a step forward. Her metallic boot clanged as it hit the floor, it was far more pronounced than her previous steps which only further highlighted just how quiet her step had been previously.

"It is my right to challenge by combat any decree that may put a member of this council at risk. Are you Baroness Forest truly capable of-"

Then they came.

The psychic assault changed entirely in nature. From a irritable pain it became something far more sinister. The imagery of the debauchery that the trio had undoubtedly been up to before.

"A-Ahahaha..."

She couldn't help herself.

"E-everyone knows Her Majesty beds anything that walks. You're truly proving yourself quite the circus show here."

Forest

"And now you're insulting the King by basically calling her a trollop," Forest said with a sigh as she cast a look towards Sakura.

Please take the bait, please take the bait you aristocrat battle mage, Forest thought to herself, sending a quick prayer to the Morrigan.

She gestured at the rest of the group.

"And what circus show?  You're the only one getting flustered after I just had you feel what I was feeling.  Maybe you're a bit of a sadist Alice?  Getting your jollies for beating up on the new person because they happen to be Taro's appointed bodyguard because of your personal feelings against the Duke and you're having to wear some performance enhancer to do it," she said with a tilt of her head.

After all, Alice was the only one getting the Forceful Porn.

She did send to Taro, I sent her the memory of you shagging Valerie on the floor last night.

Sakura Edelfeldt

Sakura frowned, curling her lip upwards in distaste and habitually flipping one of her long, purple drills. She ran her finger down it, betraying her discomfort.

"That's not why she's attacking you." She finally spoke up, standing up and staring at her fellow fledgeling. "If your newness was a factor, I'd be being tested as well, right now." She waved at the others around the table. "Both of us are mere baronesses, and you tried to take charge of the situation and order people around, parading your attachment to that despicable filth as if it were a badge of honor."

She shook her head. "I may not enjoy hierarchical nonsense nor traditions such as this, but I understand my place in this well enough."

She figured the girl must have been from the stiks in the scottish highlands, or perhaps even further north. She'd never heard such aggressively nonsensical english anywhere in London.

Taro

"AHAHAHAHA!"

Taro barreled in his seat, the only one privy to what had happened because of Forest's little message.  You sent her THAT?! Oh sweet satan thats good! he sent, literally falling out of his seat and laughing on the floor.  If he needed air he would have been coughing by now but instead, he laughed even louder than before, the entire chamber echoing from his musings.

Do not listen to the girl Forest.  She knows about as much as you do.

Finally stopping, he stood up.  "Alright alright," he said.  "I know I like to have fun at work, but this is a bit much even for me.  Lady Everfair are you satisfied with my bodyguard or do you need to get to know her more?  Personally I hope the answer is the former rather than the latter considering I may finally die of laughter.  Although, its not a bad way to go."

Hera Greenmore

"As much as I hate to agree with that fool, I must insist you cease this farce of a duel!" Hera added before tilting her head.  "Although I must ask lady Everfair... what happened?"

However, she already could deduce from her unparalleled experience dueling that her mind was assaulted.  In the Nexus there were many methods to do so.  The knight wondered what way this Forest girl had access to.

"I disagree," Daimian said.  "If I understood this correctly this is a war meeting.  It never hurts to become more acquainted with new soldiers."

Just like Hera, he was observing the battle.  He too already realized there was some sort of mental manipulation.  Although his comment was more based around wanting to see what threat Forest could pose.  She seemed much less in line than the other fledgling.

Alice

"And to that Lady Greenmore, I can say no more than she is a telepath who believes sleeping with her majesty makes her worthy of some special status." Alice shook her head and paused for a short moment before turning to to the man who believed himself in charge.

"Taro my sweet boy.... Surely you haven't grown so arrogant as to truly believe yourself second only to the King? You know precisely what will happen to you if you overstep those boundaries, and not even the King herself will save you from that."

Forest

Forest smirked at Alice and said, "Lady Alice, unless you're a telepath, which you're obviously not because you weren't able to shake off that simple bit of a mind trick, don't say what I believe because you're not privy to my thoughts."

She then looked at Sakura and said, "You're the most dangerous person in the room.  Any one with any iota of experience can see that you're a battle mage, too tight corset withstanding.  Add being a vampire to that, which probably means that limits that your body used to have with magic when you were a mortal aren't a problem now.  So generally it's not too bright to piss off the battle mage who just happens to be a vampire, newly turned or not, because you could probably metaphysically nuke them.  I'd wager five quid that you could even whip the Son of Batman over there." 

She gestured to Damian Wayne, who she could sense was leery about her because she wasn't being a Good Little Girl and Drinking the Kool-Aid like all the other vampires in the room.

Forest then walked back to Taro and said, "I was appointed his guardian.  Most good bodyguards don't want violence around their charges.   When you were getting pissy with him, I was trying to defuse the situation." 

To Taro she sent back, She was pissing me off.  And I had the cunt in a full guard.  She should have ripped her shoulder out when she dislodged me.  Or if she did she healed too bloody quickly.

Sakura Edelfeldt

She smirked at Forest, and then shook her head. "Perhaps that is true, yes, but perhaps not. I haven't had the chance to gauge any of the people in this room, yourself excluded. However, mere strength doesn't give me the prerogative to act out in the presence of my superiors. I am a mercenary, Forest. Strength is part of the job description, but so is listening to your clients and performing to the best of your ability." She sat back down and kicked her feet up onto the table, leaning back in her chair. "And most good bodyguards know when their charge is actually in danger, and react accordingly. They don't overreact and set off a tense, dangerous situation unless they can help it."

She stared at Forest, radiating annoyance at being called here only to witness such tomfoolery. "Will you please sit down, so we can get started sooner?"

Taro

"Says the knight who started a fight in our sacred war room," he said, shrugging.  "I didn't have to let you test my cute little bodyguard here.  Instead of assuming tresion, how about not messing with my employees?  You don't see me throwing your sword across the room to test its metal hmm?"

The most important thing in this situation is charisma, standing, he sent back to her. If that girl is not trying to take control by dominating all of us at once, it is likely because she can't.  I only asked you to keep an eye on her because she's a foreign element, not a physical threat.  Alice was doing the same to you in her own way.  You don't have to prove anything to them Forest beyond whats physically keeping you alive.  In fact since your with me, I might as well make you privy to my philosophy.  The less they know the better.  I find the best position to be in is one where your opponent assumes you a fool.  Besides...

"I think Forest did a fine job," he said, walking towards Alice.  His hand wrapped around her waist.  "If you want to dance..."

He leaned in pressing his lips against hers.  For a moment, his lips danced along with hers, his hand tracing along her neck.  Taro preformed a simple flourish, like the one at the end of a dance.  Alice was bend over his hand, her eyes forced to meet Damian's. "Then you can dance with me anytime.  That sort of thing is why Valarie still keeps me."

Then, he turned to the big boobed girl, pulling away from Alice as if nothing happened.  "Oh and battle mage boobie girl, we don't start until everyone has arrived.  If you try to push too hard Emilia gets mad and kicks you in the balls.  But I get it, waiting for the meeting to start is so boooooooooring."

Mr. Wayne caught Alice and glared at Taro.  There was nothing but hatred in his eyes.

Sakura Edelfeldt

Sakura reached in between her breasts and pulled out an object, and in a flash, she pointed Sapphire at Taro. She glared at him ferociously, ready to strike at any moment. "You will cease addressing me in such a rude manner at once, Duke Taro." She gathered magical energy from paralell worlds, using it to funnel magic into the shadows protecting her, creating more of them, ready to strike if anybody made an aggressive move at her. With her other hand, she reached into her shadows and fingered her class card, fidgeting with her trump card in case she needed to use it.

Death's Cradle

Lady Emilia stood up in raging protest against the vile slander that was spewing from his mouth.

"I only did because you're such cree-"

Crash-

A spinning blur burst through the wall behind Taro and continued to savagely bifurcate the Duke. The glimmering flash of metal spun around half a lap around the room and then went out the same hole in the wall from whence it came.

Thud-

The sound of something stopping it could be heard and a moment later a shape emerged from the dust cloud that was produced by the smashed wall. "How many times now? Do you have to do this every time Taro?"

It was the King and in her hands was a scythe almost as tall as she was. As she walked in, the scythe spun around quickly at the tip of her fingers with unnatural ease and then with a determined swing, its blade ended up poised right at Taro's head.

Forest

Forest resisted the urge to sit down on the table and instead sat on the chair.  She couldn't quite explain it, but she always had a habit of perching herself on things.  Tables, railings, and occasionally even her car.

She did sit down at Sakura's request and began to fiddle with her daylight ring.

Until Taro commented about Baroness Edelfelt's rack again.  She glared at him and was about to chide him about it when the Vampire King herself decided to make a very violent entrance.  So the ancient Scot remained seated even as the scythe cut through her appointed charge.

She gave Taro a look and said, "I told you to stop commenting on her rack."

To Edelfelt she said, "Look, I'm sorry he's being such a creeper.  It's something I'm working on with him, or at least so he's not so blatant about it.  So, again, I apologize about Taro being a wanker, but apparently normally he's worse so . . ."

She held her hands out with a little shrug and grin.

Sakura scoffed, sitting back down as her lord entered and cut the man in half. She didn't even try to hide her smirk. "Choose better company. You shouldn't need to "reeducate" your lover. I don't know what fucked you up, but he's a toxic piece of shit that no woman should get close to."

Forest

Forest looked at Sakura and something dark and ancient flickered through the blonde vampire's eyes.  Centuries of pain, suffering, and sacrifice played across Forest's features for a brief moment.  Then she snorted and said, "You have no idea.  As for Taro?  At least I know his brand of crazy right out of the box; better that than finding out something worse when you're not on guard."
