Roman shook his head.  "Hey i didn't say all that.  Its not like I enjoy getting my ass kicked.  Its... humiliating."

Even as he said, that, he couldn't help but get a better look.  The strange thing about a nice set of abs is it usually made the breasts look better, no matter how big or small.  They were practically mounted, begging him to touch.  When she smiled like that, he sort of just wanted to grind her face into the dirt.

"Wait, if you turn me, won't I boil in the sun?"

Valerie

"Heh...."

Her barely contained laugh made her chest rise and fall, it didn't look like they had much support under her shirt. "Maybe if you would starring perving for a second you would notice"

She moved her right hand closer to him, something metallic glimmered with its movement and when it finally come to a stop mere inches from his face it was revealed to be a ring on one of her fingers.

"This is why. The coven of the night will protect you. And we will be family."

Roman took a sip of his orange soda.  Yusho's words echoed in his mind.  The power of a vampire would likely be a devils deal.  He was selling his soul for this, but he knew that.  "And how strong can I expect to become from this?" he asked, placing the now half empty glass on the table.  "There isn't a cap to how strong I can get right?"

It didn't matter.  To him, he just needed to be able to catch up to her, to get far past his former weaker self.

"Many many times stronger, especially at night...And, do not know if there is a cap, you see I am definitely the strongest." She didn't like calling herself the strongest, it sounded so arrogant but it was the truth. The smirk never left her face even as she leaned over the table to whisper the next part to him.

"The improved blood flow might make you cock grow-" Her warm breathe tickled the skin of his neck, further going against the stereotype of vampires being cold.

Roman's eyes widened.  He heard the king was the strongest vampire but considering all he saw in the arena and today, he wasn't sure it was true.  Although, he believed her when she said it.  The young man continued to stare.

"A bigger dick huh?" he said, looking down.  His pants were already a little stiff.  It would have grown a little more if he wasn't so on edge.  "Ten times stronger, no cap and even a bigger dick.... whats the catch?"

Thats right.  According to Yusho, there had to be a catch.  She hadn't brought up souls, money or labor at any point.  There had to be something.

"A catch huh.... My are you the sharp one." Her hot breathe caressed his neck and then further up towards his ear as she moved onto the table fully. "I would not have gone through with this had you just blindly accepted, fools are hardly something I want in my inner circle...."

"You would be whatever I have need for, and no you will not lose your free will or sense of self. You can think of it as an extended servant contract, like a butler. In return you will be powerful, desired and immortal..."

Roman stood there, staring at her, seeing if there was something else beyond those pretty scarlet eyes.  Indeed, it made sense that he wouldn't have much to offer.  If he got stronger, he would be useful for manual labor.  Still, this didn't sound at all like what Yusho had been describing.  Hell, it didn't sound like anything he ever heard about vampires.  Thinking back to all he had been told about vampires, the king, the very embodiment of vamperism herself was nothing like what vampires were supposed to be.

"Wait so you... want me to be your butler?  Do... do I get a slick looking suit?"

Valerie blinked as he stared into her scarlet eyes, and the playful smirk slowly melted into a more concerned and even caring expression.

"Hmm... That was just an example... If you- If you dressed as such then people would treat you as a royal butler with all the expectations that comes with being one, and that may not be an enjoyable experience for you. The last thing I want is for my cute underlings to be unhappy with themselves."

Even as she spoke, her fangs were extending on their own, the current discussion spurring on the primal desire to make her family grow. It didn't take long for them to extend fully  and shimmer, their unnatural whiteness reflected light in a way that simply shouldn't be possible, yet it was happening right now and was almost impossible to ignore.

Roman fell back into his seat, causing the other patrons to glance at him.  "SHIT!" he yelled as he landed on the floor with a thud.  "Hey put those away!  I thought you said you would ask first."

Despite his yammering, his back was still firmly planted on the floor.  He stood up, brushed off his arms and legs, and pulled up the chair.  Despite the feeling of fear stabbing at his heart, he placed his ass firmly in the seat, staring at her with a nervous glare.  It was of a man gambling on another's honor, her word that she would ask him before assaulting him.

"How rude...."

Despite her chastising words, the vampire's scarlet eyes were for once not following him but rather glancing down at some spot on the table. Her breathing evened out but the glimmering fangs did not retract in the slightest, of course she felt them. How could she not with that pulsing sensation in her mouth.

"I would never subject you to porn and then tell you to stuff your boner, this.... This is like that, a vampiric boner, I cannot just put them away as you say.

Boner?

Roman's mind went hazy.  That was a lot of information given to him with very few words.  To think that the symbol of a vampire's preditory behavior would be a simple sign of arousal.  Of course, all of those larger thoughts faded into the background as the most pressing sprang into the forefront of his mind.

Wait, so she has a vampire boner.... for me?

"Oh i'm sorry?" he said with a tilt of his head.  "But seriously, I think people are staring."

They were.  Everyone was watching now and they weren't turning away.

"...Bothering you?" She titled her head in the same way as before before she turned around to look at the crowd. In that moment he wouldn't be able to see her eyes or the expression she made all he heard was a set of bone chilling words.

"Get lost."

Then the moment passed and she turned back to him with a brilliant smile. "I am used to the crowd, you too will be in time if you accept."

Now she just needed to reel the conversation back in.

"Were where we?.... Oh right, you should not be sorry for that, be proud you make the King feel this way,"

Sakura clicked her tongue. "It really doesn't matter. I'll be fine."

Edelgard

Her jaw trembled with unspoken assurances for an uncomfortable stretch of time. Edelgard didn't understand why she denied it so vehemently. If this wasn't the place to speak of it, for fear of being overheard or exposed, she understood that. But here Sakura was, and she seemed to be merely enduring it as background noise. Like the disorienting ringing of the battlefield that any full-fledged Forsaken cataphract had to become used to. That was duty, so what was this?

But it wasn't her place to question. She wouldn't mistake or strain Sakura's kindness, lest she prove entirely undeserving of it. "These are enough," she said, holding up the clothes she'd been collecting. "Should check the size?"

Sakura Edelfeldt

Sakura immediately felt bad about being so curt-despite her taciturn nature, she knew that Edelgard wasn't dumb. She should have elaborated on her issues, why she just tolerated talk like this and turned the other cheek, but...

She didn't really have a good answer. Why did she have to be like this, here? Wouldn't she be considered to be fairly high up in the hierarchy, not just another second child of a powerful mage family?

She clicked her tongue. "Yeah, you should try them on." She responded automatically. "You don't want to buy something that doesn't fit, Edel."

"Get lost."

In that moment, Valarie was at her most beautiful.  The delicate blond hair catching the light, the side of her fang glimmering as well.  That sort of authority, that sort of power; oh how he craved it, how he wanted to be her.  It made the smile she gave him all the more beautiful.

"I am," he said.  "I think this might be one of the more proud moments in my life."

People were talking about him.  But it wasn't dismissal or disgust, but a sort of reverence, not that those kinds of comments weren't being said.  The way they were talking about him was the way one talked about someone special.  He heard someone say "Who even is that?"  Another person said, "How is the king letting him get away with that?"

Roman just smirked.  "Yeah, i'll become your personal assistant," he said aloud.  Technically he was signing up to be her manslave, but personal assistant sounded way cooler.

[Bern]

Valerie

"How spendid!"

Then the blonde flashed out from the table and-

Crash.

A heartbeat later Roman was on the ground or rather he lying on top of something soft, it was Valerie. The Vampire King had jumped him and knocked him off the chair in her exhilaration and she hadn't remembered that he was a regular until it was too late.

Or so it would seem for regular mortals but even in that position, she'd managed to switch their places mid air and make him land on her before either of them had hit the ground.

"Are you alright?" Eventhoigh she  took the fall Valerie still showed more concern for him.
