『NO FICTION』?  The power to turn fantasy into reality?

Just then, her face lit up, her somber mood replaced with an overwhelming feeling of hope.

"So that means you can revive Lorenzo!  He can still be saved!"  She exclaimed, her enthusiasm overflowing every inch of her voice.

Oho.

"Nope. You should know, there are limits even to my 『NO FICTION』. Reviving the dead is, naturally, one of them. " The demon said cheerfully with a grin plastered on his face.

"However, that is not to say I cannot bring him back. But please do tell, how far are you willing to go to see this Lorenzo again?"

Medaka

Medaka's face turned serious.

"I would do anything."  She said simply.

Serious Tohuw

"Would you sell your soul to the devil?" He asked jokingly in response to Medaka's seriousness.

But he was serious. Dead serious. Seriosuly serious, more serious tha she could ever be.

Medaka Kurokami

Medaka took a deep breath.

"You know, if you had asked me that question before I would have said no.  My soul is needed to help many others.  However, I cannot say that now.  I couldn't even protect two men."  She said, openly pondering her own character.

Then, her face became firm, as if she was about to receive a death blow.

"Yes!  I would gladly give this worthless soul of mine to see his face again.  Anything to undo my failure."  She said boldly.

Tohuw Balagan

Tohuw looked at the woman with a look of utter bemusement. He didn't expect her to be so willing, it was almost too easy. One could only wonder how she managed to get so far in life.

Still, this dulcet trust she somehow managed to show was quite amusing. He was amused. Of course, this was only setting up the stage. Or rather, the dominos.

Watching them fall by her hand would be quite fun.

"Goodness gracious, I believe you have stumbled upon juuust the right guy. But you know, if I am going to do this, I'll need your help. You're my friend, so you should help me help you. Before we get hasty, can you tell me about Lorenzo? It would make this muuuuch easier."

Emily

Whatever reply that Emily might have had was sharply cut off at the sight of Mordred's current expression. The Summer Courtier's glare cut through the drunken haze clouding her senses, stopping her cold. Her fellow's words rang through her ears like a slap in the face, dulling Emily's senses to the otherwise enjoyable heat of the shower around them as she realized that, in her drunken haze, she really had pissed Mordred off.

Emily grew silent with that realization, the drunken gaiety soon replaced by a more somber expression as Emily drew the curtain open and gingerly stepped out of the shower, closing the curtain behind her.

The Spring Courtier remained silent, soft breaths and wet footsteps being the only sounds that marked her presence as she move over to the nearby towel rack and retrieved a towel to dry herself off with. No words passed Emily's lips as she went about getting dressed once more and made her way over to the door. Opening it, Emily didn't even wince at the draft of cool air cutting through the warm haze like a knife, turning back to the shower cabin.

"Sorry," the Changeling said, her voice suddenly devoid of the drunken, bubbly, amusement that had taken her by storm just moments ago.

Closing the door behind her, Emily stumbled back over to the bed, flopping down on the mattress on her side. The remaining bottle of rum sat innocently on the nightstand nearby, reminding the Changeling that she'd left its twin, now half-empty, on the vanity in the bathroom. Resisting the sudden urge to throw the bottle out the window, Emily waited, though for what she wasn't sure anymore.

Mordred

Maybe she was a bit harsh towards her, but she had to be strict in such situation. It was for her own good, as both were sought by someone sinister. She couldn't still clear her head completely of the image of that armor torn by that monster in human form. She had no other choice than try to get even stronger, but she was lost how she'd achieve that. After the foe seemed to be superior to someone who pretty much played around with her. "Damn it, it's not that I've grown complacent, I'm completely out of my league!" she complained, punching the wall of the room, making a slight crack in it. Once Emily sobered out she had to talk with her seriously about their grim prospects.

Forest

Forest grinned and said, "You'd be surprised about a lot of fanboys."  She eyed the wooden sword with a slight bit of trepidation and said, "Hey, you may face someone who has a severe weakness to wood you know.  So did you just happen to wander in Nexus?"

"I woke up with a hangover, after spending whole night burning my money on pachinko and getting smashed. But I don't remember how I exactly ended up in another continent." he shrugged. "I think we should already get going."

Medaka

Medaka paused, searching her memories for his personality.

"If I were to describe him in a single sentience, I would say he was raunchy but had a good heart.  He was always looking to satisfy his lust, selfishly doing whatever he wanted in order to satisfy that end.  I remember earlier when we were at this other station.  There was this angry woman who punched a hole in the wall.  She was as powerful as she was gorgeous.  Yet, despite that, Lorenzo boldly expressed his desire for her body and well, we got into a big mess." She explained.  She paused in the middle of her story and touched her hand to her check, pondering the memory before continuing.

"Thinking back, I don't know why he did it.  Though, if I had to guess, I think it was his pride. He knew she was more powerful then him from the start, yet he still challenged her.  But that was thing about him.  He never cared about the difference in power between him and his opponent.  He only acted to overcome it.  Of course, unlike me, he was never against fighting dirty.."  Just then, Medaka let out a chuckle.

"Its funny, I talk about him like he was this big fearless man who acted on instinct and pride but he wasn't as strong as he looked.  He had deep regrets from back in his old world and he always seemed worried about me, almost obsessively so, as if I was some vase that could break the moment he turns his head.  Of course, I was just as prone to trouble as he was so I would often cause him a lot of anguish.  But we pulled through for a while by supporting each other and with a little luck.  i think that is how we formed our bound.  We were both prideful fool hearty morons who stumbled through this city.  I suppose the only difference between us was that I was arrogant enough to assume that I could do everything, like in my old world."

I suppose I am just a worthless normal girl.  She thought to herself as she moved on.

"Alright did that help any?  I apologize for getting off track but I am not done grieving.  I can continue if you need more."

Tohuw Balagan

Tohuw was now sitting on a comfy sofa and writing notes quickly as she spoke with the pen he conjured out of his ear. He was listening carefully and writing along. Well, he was actually doodling cute animals but its not like anyone could tell.

His hello kitty notebook was so wonderful, it was truly the best notebook ever.

"Alright did that help any?  I apologize for getting off track but I am not done grieving.  I can continue if you need more." She pointed out. With that, he smiled jovially and shook his head.

"Nono, that won't be necessary. I have all I need." He said with an aloof cheerful tone. He didn't seem to be troubled one bit, he might as well be having a snack and talking trough the phone with a distant cousin while munching cookies. Then, he looked at his notebook over and re-read everything just to make sure.

"Oh, actually there is one more thing I need. Would you know by any chance where and how he died? That's super duper important."

Medaka Kurokami

Medaka took a deep breath and pointed behind the man.

"I don't remember specifics but he died several meters in that direction.  There was a large explosion caused by some sort of magical item that was shot in this area."  She responded bluntly.

Tohuw Balagan

Tohuw bowed theatrically before walking towards the general direction she pointed at. However, after a few steps, he frowned. Then, he bit his index with his toothy fang deep enough to bleed. He didn't seem bothered by the pain at all, or rather he didn't seem to be in any pain.

Pointing his bloody finger up, he waited for a while. Then, he sighed dissappointedly. The blood that was previously dripping from his fingere now ran up back to where it came from, causing the wound to swell and bubble before closing. It was simply shaping back to how it once was.

Then, he turned to Medaka and looked at her with an almost troubled face. It wasn't sadness or fear or shock. His expression was more one of annoyance.

"Medaka, are you sure this is the right spot?" He asked nonchalantly, yet with a slight tinge of displeasure at his discovery.

Medaka Kurokami

Medaka watched as the man walked over to where she had pointed and investigated the spot.  He did something with his finger and turned around to face her.  The look on his face when he turned around was devastating.

"Medaka, are you sure this is the right spot?" He asked nonchalantly, yet with a slight tinge of displeasure.

She walked over to where he was, standing right beside him.

"Well, I don't really remember the last moments too clearly."  She said, a bit confused.  Then she sprinted several meters to the right before moving closer to the center of the crater.  "I was right here, getting closer to the girl who started this whole thing."  She said, still clearly trying to remember what was happened.  She turned to the man.  "Hmm, I thought he was over there.  I clearly remember him shooting fire from his gun. and that girl was defiantly at the center...."  She said before her voice trailed off.

"Oh!  Try the same spot equidistant from the center of the crater.  Perhaps I got the side wrong."  She said, hoping to not try her new friend's patience.

Weirded out Tohuw

"What are you talking about? What girl? What thing? Details Medaka, I need details. Work those braincells a little and recall what actually happened, would you kindly?" asked Tohuw. Something was wrong, terribly terribly wrong. Something that by all means should be impossible.

"Are you sure he is dead, are you absolutely sure he is dead? You didn't lie to me, did you? You aren't mistaken or unsure about it, right?"

It was a foolish question. He knew full well the girl did not lie, she had no reason to hide anything. Even if she did, he would hae been able to tell. It takes one to know one, and he knew she was no liar. Rather, he doubted she was capable of lying. To deceive one needs to doubt, but that woman did not doubt him.

But this, the fact this Lorenzo died here, that fact was...impossible.

The demon then took a sudden moodshift. His serious almost unsettled face was now much calmer, his voice much softer and his grin much wider.

"I need you to tell me exactly what happened here, down to every detail. Can you do that?"

Emily

As Emily stared at the bottle, the roiling sea of thoughts and emotions soon faded to a dull roar as she considered her situation once more. After a few minutes spent in contemplation, Emily managed to push herself back off the bed and get into the bathroom once more. She really needed to talk to someone, but Mordred was probably still a little snappy and she was saving the bottle currently on the nightstand for Mordred. Retrieving the half-empty bottle of rum from the bathroom vanity, Emily made her way out of the bathroom and back onto the bed, flopping back against the mattress with the bottle clutched in one hand.

After a few moments spent like this, Emily sat up, looking at the bottle, then at the nightstand, where the two cups sat, then back at the bathroom. The Changeling's gaze drifted between the bottle and the cups once more before she shrugged and took a swig directly from the bottle. Looking at the bottle again, the Changeling took a few more before deciding that at the very least she wouldn't have to worry about the bottle snapping at her.

"You know," she started, holding out the bottle, "I suppose I've had worse days, but this has been pretty bad."

Emily leaned back against the head-board, kicking her feet up onto the mattress, considering the jeans she was currently wearing and deciding that she'd need to get her hands on something a bit lighter some time in the near future.

"I mean," she continued, taking another swig of the rum, "Just landed in some weird new place, the only other Changeling I've found is currently showering in the next room, and there seems to be some shady as hell group after us."

Emily lay there for a moment, propped up against the headboard as she considered the current situation.

"What's next?" she asked the bottle plaintively, "The return of that Autumn bitch?"

She waited for a few seconds, as if awaiting an answer, before knocking back another gulp of the rum, sighing as the warm burn slid down her throat. The Changeling set the bottle down nearby, now with only a quarter of it's original amount of rum remaining, and sat up, pulling off the jacket and the sweater and briefly considering removing the jeans before deciding that it was a bit too chilly for that. Now clad in jeans and a thin blouse, Emily eased back against the head-board, the pillows behind her providing something soft to rest on.
