Irisviel

“Yeah, okay.” Irisviel said to Toe. She then turned to the purple haired woman. “But you’re going to be going to bed now! I’ll bring you some food later, but you need to rest. Especially if you’re hurting.

Tohuw Balagan

Tohuw nodded in agreement before turning around and leaving, snapping his fingers. Instantly, the destruction he caused became nothing and funny glasses with the funny nose and stache appeared on the stranger. Courtesy of course.

Then, walking down the stairs, he exited by the main hall. But not before waving his hand at a couple of the armours and blasting them with a ray of light. If anything was to happen of unpleasant in the castle, well, hopefully they'll chop the culprit's head cleanly this time.

Bowing as he passed by them, the armours spoke in unison.

"Where shall thy head, master?" They asked the demon. To that, he turned his cold gaze to them for a moment, then kept walking.

"To play." He replied flatly with a bored, detached expression."

Without even blinking or snapping his fingers, the door opened by himself as he approached it. Wincing, he covered his eyes. Daylight blasted him cleanly and caused him to clench his hands and cover his eyes. No, this was not quite the same. For one, he was actually feeling pain. That usually didn't happen, and for good reason. If it did, he would've destroyed every suns in the world with his own hands.

But whatever caused this was there... well, not for long.

Finally, the pain lessened to a degree. While at first he felt like his body was being carved apart by ice cold needles, now it simply felt like he was broiling. Bah, it's not like I don't deserve at least a thousand times worse. He thought to himself. Then, he made a blue pill appear in his fingers, one that he gluttonously swallowed. That should take care of the troublesome sensations, at least enough to think things straight.

At least, enough to let Tohuw uncover his eyes and look up at the sky clearly. Somehow, his nausea, no, disgusting feeling got even worse. Despite that, he kept staring at those white orbs floating high in the sky with a look of contempt. Or rather... amusement.

Instantly, a big beach parasol appeared above him, floating aimlessly to shield him from the light.

How long had it been since someone had the balls, the audacity to challenge the king of the night in such a manner!? And to make things worse, he showed weakness to something as meagre as this? Pathetic, pathetic pathetic! This was unlike him, to cause a scene over so little. Thinking about it, he might have gone a little overboard. Oh, lolno he didn't. But at the same time, maybe he should've looked at things from a different angle.

This was a chance. An opportunity. Normally, he wouldn't go out of his way to do it, but now he finally had a reason to go out and play! Yes, maybe he could finally get a little serious. Just a little. But honestly, he doubted it. Even so, this was amusing. Very amusing. So the demon smiled, then grinned, and finally he began to laugh. And oh, how mad this laughter was, a truly terrifying laugh, a mad laugh that no sane intellect could muster.

And so he howled at the sun with joy bursting from his voice.

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo always thought himself to be very calm. In fact, some would call him the calmest gentlest soul in the world. But if there was one thing, just one thing that pissed him off, it was people who wronged and didn't think nothing of them. And right now, that was exactly what that child was doing. Child, because that was the only thing he could call her, and he blushed to do so. Blushed, yes, in shame. Because to call her a child was to insult all children in the world, some who happened to be much more mature than her.

But what she said, it troubled him. She was a monster, did she truly think so little of the humans she acted upon? No, he couldn't accept it. He couldn't stand it. He wouldn't! Because, because...

Because it was like looking in an old mirror.

So instead, he took a deep breath. A very, calm, deep breath. Then he glared at the girl silently and crossed his arms. If she did anything, he'd know. And she'd better pray he didn't catch her.

Sakura

“None.” Sakura answered Rin and Vanguard flatly. “The size of his harem is zero.” She knew she was spoiling their fun, but she didn’t care. She was annoyed at Vanguard for what he had done, and she wanted him to know it.

Medaka Kurokami

Medaka wanted to follow Lorenzo to confront him but she couldn't just blindly ignore this wonderful stranger, especially since she saved her life.  After watching Lorenzo walk away and display some more strange magic, she turned to the white haired woman.

"Don't worry im fine.  I think it was just some light aching."  She said, tapping her head lightly with her fist.  "Besides, I need to ask Lorenzo something.  Its extremely important."

Rin

"Rider likes her bed mates with actual blood and no metal, so she'd doesn't count," Rin said with a smirk.

“None.” Sakura said, her tone entered sub-arctic temperatures. “The size of his harem is zero.”

Rin raised her eyebrows, knocked on Vanguard's chest piece with her knuckles, and said, "Ohoho, you hear that Tin Man?  I know that tone.  You're in t-r-o-u-b-l-e."

Victoria Ashworth

It seemed that the man named Kenzo had nothing to say to my latest comment, seemingly a bit offput by what I had said. He obviously was not a person who had come to terms with the fact he was not quite human. No matter, I simply turned my attention away from him, and back to Forest, who said,

Forest

"Don't make me pull over this car.  We're all elders here, so let's bloody try to act like it and figure what the fucking hell this mojo death light is and see if we can't stop it.  Or find someone who can," Forest said with a scowl.

She added to Victoria, "Also, we're heading to the Emporium of Man.  If you just arrived in Nexus and are in need of things, I can cover you.  Cash isn't a problem."

I scowled a bit not at the threat to pull over the car, or saying we should act more like elders. No, the comment about trying to get to the bottom of what was going on with that light was what bothered me. I did not have any desire to go anywhere near one of those lights again. Simply being as far as I was away from one had nearly sent me into Rotschreck, and I would not want to go through that again. I responded as such, "I personally would rather that if we have to investigate those lights, we get someone to do the footwork for us. I myself cannot even go near one of those lights without being extremely affected by them, making me run as if they were like an open bonfire. I may be of some use with my Thaumaturgical and Occult knowledge, but I must stay away from it," I said, finishing my thought and letting her know that I would not be of any help in scouting them.

As for her next point, about our current destination, she said we were going to a place called the Emporium of Man, and that if I needed anything she would cover me on cost. I scoffed a little at that and responded, pricking my finger before using my blood magic to create a large roll of $100 bills, "I can produce currency and many other objects on my own with my blood Thaumaturgy, so unless they are selling something like blood or humans for me to take a drink from, I cannot think of anything that I would need. Though I shall accompany you in anyway, I might as well get acquainted with this place while I try to figure out where exactly it is," I finished. Now I just would wait to see how she responded, and keep an eye on Kenzo, as he seemed rather wary of me. I would rather not be unprepared if he chose to engage in melee at this close range.

Saber

Saber eyed the 3/4 pound cheeseburger on the menu and knew that was what she was going to have to get.  Once the waitress made her appearance again.   She set down her menu and said, "His name is Hamara and he is a holy man with unnaturally high charisma and his aim is to rid the world of those who are not human but appear to do so, including those who have something added to them such as myself.  He has an ease to gather followers and is words trouble me."

She sighed and said, "When I first arrived I was ready to slay anyone who could be considered a monster until I met someone who worked very hard to convince me that what they are does not make them who they are.  I understand Hamara's desire for change, but I believe he is wrong and many innocents who just happen to be something they had no choice to be may be harmed due to his actions."

"And the sewer is filled with deadly monsters.  As in the true sense of the word."

Forest

"They affect me too," Forest said, clinching her jaw as she felt her fangs wanting to lengthen in memory.  She shook her head and said, "Regardless, we need to do something.  Find someone who can do the footwork or whatever and then kill the wanker who's doing this."

She tilted her head as Victoria procured cash from literally blood and shook her head.  "You could use clothing.  I don't think what I have is going to fit you.  You're tiny and I'm very bloody tall."

Mordred

"That oddly reminds me of that Hitler guy I read in history books. Maybe he will gather us for some camping." Mordred morbidly joked. But of course she wouldn't let herself resign to such grim fate. If any of his whatever-color-that-H-dude-likes shirts tried to touch her, she would carve out a message on their heads like in that Hollywood movie she watched.

"But seriously, I won't let myself get killed by such a fag. I know of a place no human may easily reach. I can retreat if the worst comes to worst. Sadly, probably I wouldn't be able to evacuate many. The Hedge, as my kind calls it, is dangerous enough that maintaining a large village is already a challenge there." And her pursuers apparently sought entrance there. Good luck on that.

Finally the food arrived. The steak she ordered, along with Arthuria's meal.

Vanguard

Vanguard turned to Sakura and looked at her with confusion. He got that she was angry, he could understand that. Well, not really. He could understand the fact she was angry, after all that was an emotion he could feel as well.

However, he could not understand where did this anger come from, and why it came to be in the first place. He could not let alone conceive that he was the one at fault. Vanguard now found himself in a situation he did not comprehend. In fact, he simply had no clue why Sakura was pissed at him. He himself saw no reason for her to act so.

Had she not found her lover? Was she not spending time with her sister? Was she not in an agreeable situation of wealth and fortune? Was she not about to marry? To such an overwhelmingly good position, what possible reason did she have to be angered? And to such a degree…

“Sakura, did I say or do something that offended you?” he asked seriously, the good natured mood filled with a biting tongue or snark in his tone now gone and replaced by a somber, serious demeanor.

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo looked  at Forest incredulously, unwilling to accept the fact he heard those words leave her mouth. For a second, he looked really hurt, genuinely so. He considered her a friend, but she spoke of killing so easily. He didn't want this, he didn't want to kill anyone. He just wanted to go home and eat with his new friend. But, but...

"No." He growled, glaring at both and glowering in silence.

"No one is going to kill anyone."

Victoria Ashworth

It seemed that Forest shared my sentiment on what should happen to whatever or whoever was causing this to occur. The person had almost caused me to frenzy, and it was likely that any vampire in the city, if there were more, and possibly any supernatural could be affected by this. After all, this was not something like fire or sunlight that had caused my fear. It was similar, but it was indeed something much different, something that rejected my very existence. I nodded to her, saying, "I agree, perhaps we could find some mortals to scout it out for us. I am able to fully take over the body of an average mortal and move it as my own, while my own body lies dormant. If you were to watch my body I could likely scout out what is going on," I said, referring to my power to possess a mortal. It seemed like Forest did not intend to harm me, so as a fellow Kindred, I trusted her to watch over my body while I did that. "As for the need for clothing, I can produce it much like I did the money I just showed you. I can make anything from blocks of solid elements to complex computer parts. Anything I know the workings and principles of, which is a lot of things thanks to my centuries of life, I can create," I said, dismissing her concerns about need for clothing, "Though as I said, I am interested in seeing what is in the stores of this place. It may give me some insight into the place."

Sakagami Kenzo

"No." He growled, glaring at both and glowering in silence.

"No one is going to kill anyone."

However, it seemed Kenzo had other ideas about what should happen to whoever is doing this. He treated me like a child, yet he held such naive ideas like killing is universally bad? How amusing. I looked at him and said this, "Whoever did this is intent on harming people like myself and forest, Kindred, and possibly others as well. I do not think humans are affected, as I saw many of them seem to be rather unaffected by the power of the light as I ran here, however it could possibly still affect anyone else who is not human. If someone is attacking you, possibly with the intent to kill, it is stupidity to not respond in kind. Holding back in the face of an opponent that may be trying to kill you is an easy way to end up dead, Kenzo," I said bluntly before continuing, "I've seen many Kindred not fight with the intent to kill when they are being attacked, ether out of hubris or naivete, and all of them either died or learned a hard lesson. The world runs on survival of the fittest, kill or be killed. Feed or be Fed on."

I had to learn this lesson myself many years ago, and taught many neonates the same. When you are assaulted, assume they are trying to kill you and respond in kind. If you give them the benefit of the doubt and are wrong, you may end up dead. Such was the way of the world. After I had said my piece, I simply sat back an waited for the two to respond, and to see how Kenzo would react to what I had said.

Sakura

Sakura almost chuckled at Rin’s antics, but she was still rather annoyed at Vanguard, and didn’t want him to think that she was okay with what he’d done. In the end, she ended up allowing a slight smile escape.

“Sakura, did I say or do something that offended you?” Vanguard asked her seriously.

Sakura was incredulous. She didn’t even bother trying to hide it. “I’d like you to at least ask before you decide to hire somebody. Do you think that would be possible? I like to know things, you know. I think it's rude to just assume I'm going to let you do that without any sort of conversation. If you have a reason to do it, I'd be happy to help you, but you need to at least give me an overview.”

Vanguard

Had Vanguard the capacity to do so, he would've raised an eyebrow at Sakura's incredulous look. Instead, he listened carefully. "I see..." He muttered. Then, he bowed deeply, apologetically. So low, he was actually on lower ground to Sakura's stature.

"You are right. I am sorry. Please forgive me." He simply spoke, showing clear regret in this predicament. Honestly, he did not believe he had done any wrong. The opportunity simply presented itself. Besides, he might not have had the time any later. However, speaking of such to his master would be, for now, unfavourable. Therefore he buttoned his lips and instead did all he could to atone.

"Is there any way I can make amends?"

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo glared at Victoria with eyes full of death. Then, he simply stomped once with all his strength, sending the car jumping. A small hole was caved in where Kenzo's foot now resided.

"I said, there will be no killing. Undestood?"

Just

Just continued his story, having given the thing a moment to respond.

“Despite the omen of the shining heavens the family faced great hardship. Their food rotted, infested by filth and insects. They tools broke, and their house was infested. It was almost as if fate conspired against them. Eventually however they were visited by a group of people. People dressed in the finest clothing, covered in jewels and silver.”

“’We saw the illumination of the heavens’ they told the couple, ‘and our search led us here. You child has great potential, and we wish to cultivate it’ and with those words they offered the couple a new world, one where they would never go hungry, never suffer. And their child would live in what he deserves.”

“The couple, with their heart focused on their child, accepted. And then, a couple of days later, with all their worldly possession that they cared for, the group of six left.”

“And a week later, by the time they had arrived at a great city, there were only four.”

Viper’s Den

The small lizard like thing skittered down the hall. But before long it ran into another trap. Not a wire, but it seemed like stepping on the ground itself triggered it.

And with a singular click, a weak explosion of white dust filled the hall. The dust covered the metal of the lizard like thing, and entered any gaps. And then the dust, infused with the Truth of Humanity, ate away at it, causing it to malfunction and break down.

Suiren

Suiren went silent at the woman’s constant pressuring, closing her eyes and taking deep breaths. It took her a moment before she spoke.

“I am not telling you that.” She said coldly, angrily, forcing a silence to fill the grove.

It was not long until white light began to shine, the sky turned into a sheet of white. Suiren gave a slight grimace at the brightness now hitting her face before she cracked open an eye.

“Ah, that’s going on.” she said drearly, before she let her eyes close again, not paying the light any mind.

Mia

She felt the pressure close in around her, and she barely paid mind to the sound of people running away. Shirou probably escaped. Papa would be safe.

“Ahhhhh” Mia let out a soft pained moan as her body was squeezed. Pressure from every angle, but it wasn’t enough to break her. Bones were broken for sure, her already snapped arm flared with pain, and her ribs seemed to creak.

But she could live though it. But, just for this meanie she would put up a convincing act.

And then he squeezed harder. And the scream she let loose was real, as it ripped though the silence, a horrifying and pained screamer.

Her other arm began to crack, fractures began to spread though her hip, and any ribs that were not already broken snapped like a twig. All the while the pain compounded as the more pressure was put on those spots. The bones broke more, and the pain grew even more. And again, and again. With each thing breaking the pain compounded. Until it was no longer bearable.

Her eyes drooped. And the tension leave her body. And then, her grip around Silver loosened allowing the blade to be freed and fall though the Dragon’s body, making a cut as it went.

But in its grasp, Mia went limp, apparently unconscious.

Saber

Saber's eyes lit up at the Double Decker Burger she had ordered.  It even came on a pretzel bun and looked heavenly complete with fries and a root beer.  It had all the trimmings: crisp, green lettuce, slices of red, ripe tomato, aromatic pickle spears, and deep plum colored onions.  She rubbed her hands together as it was laid before her before reaching to grab the bottle of catusp beside her.

"The thing that bothers me is that normal people are defenseless against his influence.  He can even negate my charisma, and that is not an easy feat, but what I am afraid of is there are people who I care about who would be targeted in his mania.  People who I do not want to see hurt," Saber said before taking a bite and sighing.

Rin

"And how are you going to pay these women you're hiring, Vanguard?  You just going to mooch off Sakura's generosity?  Well, that's not going to work now that Emiya-kun's here," Rin said with a shake of her head as she wrapped her knuckles against his chest piece again.

Forest

This is going rather not well.  Bloody hell, they're just going back and forth on this . . .  Forest thought with a sigh.

Until Kenzo made his proclamation about no killing.   Then Victoria went into some very fatalistic logic and then mentioned taking people's wills and basically using them as puppets.

She pointed to Victoria and said, "No, we're not brainwashing people into being our bloody puppets.  They inspect out of their own free will or we find someone else.  We're not forcing ourselves on anyone like that."

Then Kenzo stomped his foot and the Camaro jumped.  Forest yelped and then her eyes went wide at the hole in her floor.  "Fucking hell, my poor car!  Did you . . . we could have wrecked or worse!  Kenzo, and now there's a hole in my car!"

He . . . damaged my baby . . .

Sakura Matou

Sakura was shocked at Vanguard’s apology. “Eh.” She said, ignoring Rin’s further antics. “V-Vanguard, um...” Sakura said, pulling on him in vain in an attempt to get him off the ground. “Vanguard, I’m not that mad, you can stop, okay? Please. All you need to do to make amends is put me in the loop, that’s all I want, so please, you’re making a scene.” Sakura said in embarrassment. “And maybe help me with some other stuff later. I may have something I need you to do. Let's just go home, okay?"
