Shirou stood in the dressing room, dutifully trying on the myriad of clothes Sakura and him had picked out. Two piles began to grow, both neatly folded. He was happy. Sakura was happy. Rider seemed happy.

It felt good.

He smiled as he looked at himself, standing in a black suit. When would he ever wear something this formal, to a weddi-

"Ah" he laughed. So that's what she's after.

He looked at his reflection in the mirror. "It's not like I'm going to complain."

Rikuyo

Shinobu tensed. Adopting a serious behaviour for the first time since she came to the Nexus. "Who...are you?" She said with a confused expression.

"My name? I'm Rikuyo." She answered the blond girl's question. She looked as if confused by her. Weird, she shouldn't stick out, she jacked clothes from a local! "Anything wrong?"

"Well, you're currently on the snow-dusted streets of Nexus City. If you're a newcomer, then you have your work cut out for you answering all the questions you could think up. All I can really say is that Nexus City is much more than a simple city, there's people and creatures from all sorts of places, and some are friendly, hostile, or neutral to newcomers. Kinda depends." Details and theories the dragon might have would just be an additional burden of information upon someone else, really, so he refrained from sharing the guesses and ideas.

"My name is Lycodrake Aptera. What's your's? If you don't mind me asking."

"Okay, what about this. I used to be a great and grand hero who lived selflessly and tried to save as many people as possible. But in the end, I lost pathetically to something far greater, and lost everything. For an eternity, my soul was bound to that shell until I happened to have found someone who managed to contain me. Then, I met this wonderful gentleman and, you know the rest. Is this really any more believable?"

Julius agreed about one thing: he was fabulous indeed. But sooner he would die than give up his noble quest. He couldn't restrain himself from saying that to the spirit possessed woman: "If it's actually true, it's not that you lost to something far greater. There's nothing greater than a hero with a genuine resolve, and maybe in the end you lost it. Pathetic indeed."

Shinobu

The girl appeared to be really excited for some reason, speaking in an hyoer actice manner. "I cannot quite place what kind of supernatural being you are and it is disturbing me a fair bit. But where are my manners, My name is Shinobu."

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo smiled. She was definitely fine, which was good. After all, why would someone say they were fine if they weren't. The oni scratched his head for a bit before answering nonchalantly.

"Well, it's a bit cold, but I have nothing else..."

Kenzo pointed to the girl. More precisely, her cloak. With a bit of luck, they could both fit in.

"Do you mind sharing?"


Vanguard

Vanguard's icy blue gaze turned to the fool. For the first time, he acknowledged his name.

"What do you mean, Julius Ritcher?" He asked coldly.

Rikuyo

"Huh? I'm just a human who can become, uhhh, a half human half animal? Plants too, but I prefer animals. Can't really show you now tho, Shinobu, I have to save my powers for some fun fight, and I'm not in top shape either." She sighed. The last two fights were such a waste. And she wasn't done with eating either, unfortunately. "Huh, and who you are, Shinobu? You smell similar, but different from somebody I fought. Ya ain't a human?"

“William.” He said, pondering the world he had found himself in. “Thankfully, it appears you’re one of those that is at least somewhat friendly to newcomers.” He raised his left hand to his chin, unwilling to remove his right hand for the time being, and placed his fingers against his chin, rubbing as he thought. The contraption from this angle had a rough, incomplete casing that let several wires spill from inside it.
“… You wouldn’t happen to know anyone or anywhere I’d go to for some help, would you?” He asked, leaving his hand against his chin.

Shinobu

Rikuyo sure had a special way of speaking, grinning at her she answered the question. "I am a vampire, a being that stalks the night and usually feeds on humans." The energetic way she spoke made it take a second for it to register for Shinobu that she seemed to really like fighting with how much she mentioned it. "You were fighting earlier?"

The waiter left with their orders, and Oka turned back to look at Jin. "It's okay, I could talk shit about my brother all day too. He's such a loser, and he's older than me, but way less mature. He just needs to get over himself."

Mordred

Noel seemed to had glimpsed somebody then tried to hide the fact she was in the same room. The Changeling looked around. The only client besides them was a tall white haired guy with messy hair. In fact, he looked somewhat familiar. Where she had seen him...

Wait

He looked kinda like Alpha's relative. There was a resemblance after all. "Oi, Alpha, do you have any relatives here in Nexus?" She also asked in a whisper. "I've seen a guy here who looks like your relative..."

Noel

"No, no, I'm fine, nothing's the matter." Noel turned to Mordred. "No, it's probably just a coincidence, haha."

Alpha The Bloodedge

Alpha cocked an eyebrow at Mordred's comment, and immediately became more confused at Noel's dodgy attitude. Who was it? She looked around, looking for this "relative" of hers like a dog looking for squirrels, until she noticed a man sitting at a table, bent over his bowl of noodles with a confused look in his eyes.

He looked exactly like she did, except, like some genderswapped version from a bad piece of fanfiction. What the hell was this?

Well, at least she understood why Mordred thought they were related.

"Noel, do you know this guy?" She asked, not bothering the keep her voice down. If this guy was why she looked so scared, she'd do something about him.

The only real way she knew how to deal with any problem, that is.

Oka laughed. "I beat him up, I'm way stronger than him."

Oka flexed her arm and showed her muscle off to Jin. "I'm strong enough to run, run, and run some more. I don't think I've ever gotten tired out, actually."
