Nanashi

Nanashi saw the man get within her path, trying to stop her and yell something. She could only hear a faint buzzing though. So whatever he said complete escaped her. She could smell it; she could feel her spiritual energy lingering on the girl. She let her hand come to her face as she groaned in realization.

She got… a bit caught up in the moment. She looked down at the man that was screaming at her… she didn’t really think she wanted to hear what he had to say. But she thought she might as well tell him. Maybe that would get him of her back. Or something.

“I CAN’T HEAR A THING!” She yelled far too loud, her lack of hearing becoming apparent, at him, before she began to climb the building, straight up

Was he actually going to get in her way? Oh well. That really didn’t matter. She might as well just go around. She could just track that thing based on the smell and traces of energy on the girl. She would just go along the rooftops.

It would also lower the chances the gangs would notice or something. That was the last thing she needed.

Numina

As her child carried her in its arms Numina leaned over a scaled shoulder to try and keep an eye out for the fox girl as they turned a corner. Hopefully that other guy would kill her or something but he was proving to be pretty useless so far. Whatever, at least they weren't too far away from the tower anymore. She very much hoped that the ignorant idiot would just leave them alone once she got there. It was getting increasingly annoying trying to keep her at bay and the cultist doubted that it would work for much longer.

Julius

Honestly, how for God's sake she couldn't hear even a fragment of his message? He did it best to make it so that she could hear it even considering the distance. She couldn't be deaf because she actually heard his voice back in the alleyway. So either she was dumb or dismissed his last warning on purpose. Considering her low cunning it was the latter. Now she exhausted her last chance. It was his turn to track her down and arrest her. And if she resisted the arrest in such way that she endangered bystanders, he would have to possibly apply lethal force in order to save them. Sometimes villains had to be killed on the spot if the situation was too dire, that was the sad reality.

It seems she chose the less convenient path in order to track down the mother and her child. That would buy time for them to get away for good, but he realized that this fox witch was so stubborn that she would pursue them as long as she could. Then, he had to close the distance between the two and pursue her until he could corner her and detain her by force.

Julius started pursuing the fox sorceress once again, this time with intent to actually capture her as the duo she pursued were out of the picture for now. He jumped from a building to a building in order to close the distance, occassionally using his whip as a grappling hook in order to aid his pursuit.

The man was steadily gaining on her, in spite of his mark having the advantage of a headstart. There was something
peculiar about it his relentness, he didn't show signs of tiring as if his sheer obsession made him tireless. He was already in a good position to throw his knives at Nanashi. There was still slight sign of holding back on Julius' part, as he didn't aim for vital parts like head, but skewering her limbs could stop her in tracks. He aimed at those legs she used to aid her running and threw a knife.

First the right leg.

Kuro

Corbin went on to explain that he didn't actually fight all of that, but he was a vampire hunting specialist apparently. He might know something interesting about them. She thought during his little speech. Kuro moved closer to him as he was talking until she was right next to him.

"Oh, so you fight a lot of vampires, have you fought any recently? How many have you slayed?  Know any special way of dealing of with them?" She started speaking really fast the moment he finished, firing off question after question, like a hyperactive kid who've had too much sugar.

Corbin

Corbin smirked at Kuro, careful not to show off his elongated canines.  He replied, "Yes, and occasionally things of meaning come out of it.  Just don't count on it often though.  I can be a bit of an arse from time to time."

"Now for the things I've fought?  I'm not daft enough to touch the Lovecraft horrors or the dragons, but I've gotten into a few scrapes with werewolves here and there.  I'm definitely not daft to fuck around with the Fae, but my wheelhouse is generally vampires.  I've got . . . a natural affinity when it comes to fighting them," Corbin said with a shrug, "And I've been a vampire hunter for quite some time."

Yeah, like I'm going to say, 'Oh, vampires piss themselves at the thought of me because I eat them.'  No, I've been able to keep my fix out of the eyes for the Elites for this long, I'm not going to blow my cover now.

Mordred

Not willing to touch a dragon? Hah, if he only knew he shook a hand with a half one. And to be honest she hoped he didn't actually believe that a Lovecraft was a legitimate source for occult knowledge. He was just a guy with issues who had deepseated fear of immigrants and allergy to seafood. As for Fae, she was legitimately good at fucking with them, by stabbing them with the pointy end of her spear. But what he meant about having natural affinity for vampires? Did he have a sort of trick that worked very well against them, just like her? If so, it was reckless to hint at that in the open public place just like that. You never knew where minions of vampires could be, ghouls after all could walk in the sunlight and possibly spy on them. Of course, in order to misdirect any potential spy, she wouldn't stress the fact that her major specialty is leech removal. But had to brought it up somewhat as recruiters knew she had dealt with them among many others things.

"Fae, you say? It happens that hunting them down is my specialty. I know their general weaknesses,
I'm aware of certain recurring patterns to their behavior and when they kidnap people it won't escape my notice. Things that abduct people are simply the worst, no matter what they are." And she really meant it. There were few things worse than her than kidnappers, no matter whom or what they were. "I've also dealt with werewolves and vampires, also with rogue mages occassionally. I know some magic myself, though I'm not a type of a magician who locks away herself in a mansion. I'm more of a field researcher." And if devising or learning new ways to root out leeches and Others, and then putting them into practice could be considered a field research, then what she said wasn't far from truth.

Then Kuro started bombarding Corbin with questions at the speed of a machine gun. Honestly, she hoped he would omit some truth just like she did. Revealing every secret of your trade in the public would be unwise.

Count Greyskull

“EEEEEEK!!”

Greyskull nearly jumped at the abrupt noise behind him. Crap, did he wake her up? He was sure he had been completely subtle, so much that he was genuinely impressed at her awareness! He fidgeted nervously, unsure of how to respond.

Gosh, this was awkward. Reeeeeally awkward.

“Erm… I, well…you see… what the darn is your problem!? Y-you can’t just sleep in the middle of the street. It’s dangerous!!” He yelled out, outraged at her outrageous hostility. “I, the great and powerful count Greyskull, could not let a child freeze to death!”

Oh, that was it! Greyskull internally cursed, he should’ve put a fire spell under the bed to keep her warm! He cooled down and asked her in a calmer tone.

“Why would you do that anyway?”

Jeanne

She saw Shirou make a single curved balde, he shuddered Let's see how he handles an attack like this. Jeanne thought as she suddenly charged at him, not holding back on her speed this time, she appeared next to him in a flash. Instead of swinging her blade, she instead kicked him away. making him fly across the backyard. "You're uncomfortable." She said as he landed a distance away from her.

Shirou Emiya

Shit! When Jeanne moved, he couldn't even see her. It was incredible! It was like fighting Rider--

"Gah!" He yelled as she kicked him, causing him to go flying and skid painfully across the ground, covering him in dirt and scratches. "Ye-yeah..." He said as he got up, readopting his stance. "It's just... It's silly." He stood ready, he wouldn't be beaten so easily this time.

Rikuyo

Battered and squeezed, Rikuyo's breath became heavy. But even if she had to bear such a pain, it was a good one. She had no clue what triggered the bluehead, but she couldn't help but feel kind of twisted pride in her achievement. She did it, she actually stopped being a painfully boring person like that dude with the cursed staff! Whatever she did, that reforged her into something that was worth a notice!

"Ya hate me, but ya cannot help but feel happy about it! I don't have clue why you want to rip me apart, but ya finally feel like human! I would even clap if I had free hands." Truly, anyone who observed them two would be also disconcerted how the redhead casually ignored the maddening pain. But she was already off her edge. She wasn't ever sane as far she remembered. Surely she felt excruciating pain, but the sense of accomplishment eclipsed that. But she was completely at her mercy. Her only slight regret was that if she died right now, she wouldn't get to see her fully developed unless she haunted her as a ghost. "Crush me, if you like, but ya know, if ya end me right now, maybe my humanity will stop rubbing on you. That'd be borin', right? If ya went to your old self that'd be so disappointin'"

Mitsuba

"Yes, exactly! Outsiders like them honestly have no clue what they are going to deal with if they step inside that tower." Good, seems like Yamanashi-san took the hint. Sometimes it was as easy as pulling a lever to make local gangers do what she would like them to do if both she and them benefited. And her new employee was willing to help her solve the issue either. In other words, they had to wage a two front war if they planned to go assault Shendu's castle like reckless fools they were.

Dante

Following close behind Rider, Dante deposited the requisite amount of cash on the counter nonchalantly. Nodding along with the cashier's formalities as she handed him the cash, the demon hunter couldn't help but sneak a quick look-over as he waited.

"Thank you, and here's your change," the cashier said at last, the demon hunter taking it without a word and making his way out after Rider.

"That's our cue, then," Dante noted, "It'll probably take some exploring to find a good pizza place. All the more time to have a bit of fun on the way."

Yamanashi

He gripped his drink harder with a twitch of the eyebrow. What was that supposed to mean? Was she trying to bemoan something as she rolled her eyes in dismay like Gunhau frequently did huhhhh? He could come up with perfectly valid plans! He just... might seem suspicious in letting too much of what was going through his head out...

Yamanashi turned away from her and brought the glass to his mouth, letting the drink moisten his throat. "Sheesh, can a guy not make one comment while he's trying to drink?," he responded, sounding nearly offended. "I dunno. If they're unlucky the district may take care of them before they ever get to the place."

Rider

Rider waited at the entrance for Tony, smiling as he approached.

"That's our cue, then", the attractive man said as he walked towards her. "It'll probably take some exploring to find a good pizza place. All the more time to have a bit of fun on the way."

"Yes, that sounds like a good idea", she responded. "I'm in no hurry to eat anyway."

Of course, as a servant, Rider did not need to eat at all, but there was no need for her to explain that to him just yet. Instead, she headed to the entrance, wheeling the bike alongside her. After exiting, she walked off into the parking lot, finding a somewhat quiet area. Then, she turned to address Tony, a slight smirk on her face.

"Hmm, this outfit isn't good for riding in, do you mind if I change?" she said, leaving it unclear what exactly she intended to do.

Relius Clover

Relius Glanced at the white haired girl who was now being out to sleep by some sort of spell.

This new creature is capable of magic.  Whatever happened to Vanguard allowed him to attain magic.  Or perhaps he was always in possession of magic.

"Hahaha! Interesting.  What is this proposal?"  He responded with a booming jolly voice inter-spliced with his trademark theatrical tone.

Medaka Kurokami

THe Kurokami phantom ended as Medaka stopped several feet away from where the vampire was previously standing.  To her surprise, Shinobu actually was sent flying into a crater.  She felt overwhelmed with a sense of accomplishment.  At the very least she wasn't weak.  So why?  Why couldn't she protect Lorenzo?  Why did Toe change?

Her thoughts were interrupted by the intense aching and pain in her body. Using her absolute body control, she managed to turn off her pain receptors and force herself to move.  She started running over to the crater where Shinobu was collapsed in.

"Shinobu!"  She screemed.  But then, a voice was heard from the crater.

"Why does everyone keep using these one hit techniques?"

The girl arose, perfectly fine.  It was odd.  The attack clearly did something, as there was a time lapse before she got up.  Perhaps she had some sort of healing magic?  No she is a vampire.  She can probably regenerate.

Medaka stared into Shinobu's annoyed eyes and sighed.  "I am sorry.  I got so caught up in the moment I forgot to set some rules for our sparing match.  Although, if we used traditional rules, I would say I won."

She walked to the tip of the crater and reached out her hand, ignoring the vampires annoyed glare.  "Although, I have a feeling it won't be the same in a real fight."

Theodore

The demon sighed in relief. At least he hadn't punched him, progress. He simply observed the masked man with dead fish eyes and spoke.

"I am afraid I still have uses for this performer, she is an irreplacable chess piece in my game. Of course, after my curtain call, I have no issue with you taking the stage. I don't care what you do to her, you can do as you please. Patience is the virtue of a true man of knowledge, and besides, you know what they say. Haste makes waste."

Despite his lazy appearance, Theodore was surprisingly articulate. He held out his hand to the man and smiled ominously.

"How about a collaboration? If you're planning what I think you're planning, you will need allies. As do I. We have still much work to do and of course, I don't intend on having you do it for free."

Dante

Dante cocked an eyebrow, a bemused smirk making its way to his face at her acceptance of the offer and the words to follow. Fortunately, she'd led them to a parking lot, tucked neatly out of sight of the people out on the street.

"Go ahead," the demon hunter mused, turning around as if to offer her a degree of privacy. Granted, the view offered by the reflection in a nearby car window wasn't the best image, but he'd take it.

Rider

Rider couldn't help but be amused by the smirk that came across the man's face when she suggested changing outfits. Whilst he made a show of turning around to give her privacy, she couldn't help but notice that her image was neatly reflected in the car window, allowing him an albeit-imperfect view of the show he was obviously expecting her to give.

Unfortunately for him, though, as tempted as Rider was to put on a little show for the rather-attractive man, teasing him and watching him try not to react to her unexpected method of changing was far too fun to pass up. So, as soon as he'd turned around, she transformed herself, her casual clothes disappearing and being replaced by her usual battle outfit, except that she retained the glasses she usually wore instead of the blindfold she generally fought in.

"OK, I'm finished", she said, far too quickly to have changed normally.

With that, Rider bent forwards and began to play around with the bike, giving Tony a nice view of her ample cleavage if he turned around.

"I'm just going to check the bike over", she said as she continued to bend forward, giving him plenty of time to enjoy the sight in front of him.
