"I have no business interfering in this?  Are you telling me to ignore when someone I care about is in danger and just leave them to their fate? You are the one who showed up here and started acting aggressively. And now you are trying to lecture me on what is proper." The blonde vampire ignored the hand on her back as she took a step forward, moving closer to the intruding man. The fact she had to look up to meet his gaze was infuriating, further reinforcing the fact that he was not just metaphorically looking down on her but also literally.

Shirou

Having tracked down the vampire, Shirou was surprised to find that his temporary partner was far stronger than he'd expected, easily dispatching the monster. Having finished with the job and collected evidence of their participation, the two of them went their seperate ways. Then, having called Sakura to inform her of his success and finding that she had been co-opted into another mission, he told her he would meet her back at home and headed in that direction.

As he was walking back home, though, he saw what, at first glance, appeared to be his wife, walking around with a sheet on her head. Curious, he moved towards her, calling out as he did so.

"Sakura!" he said, waving at her happily, continuing to approach her at a fast pace, glad to have run into her.

However, as he did so, a nagging doubt appeared in his mind. After all, Sakura had claimed to be on a mission, and this girl was just walking around casually. Further, she looked a little odd, even at this distance, and was behaving oddly.

Mordred

"I tried to contact my co-worker and discuss what just happened, but seems like her battery discharged or she is busy with something else. This is so bothersome." Things didn't often went her way. Seems like her day off could end soon. "Probably anyone who could discover what actually happened could get a reward from the government. But you're better at punching things, right, Sakura?"

IRON=SAKURA

Sakura nodded and flexed her muscle to emphasize her point, causing it to double or triple in size. "I can smash basically anything you want me to, given enough time. And I'm never really short on cash anyway, so I don't worry about it too much."

Auspicious Breeze

"Ehh? Does this mean you don't get anymore time off, Mordred?" She tilted her head and frowned at the thought. Not that she couldn't switch from fun time to fight time at the flip of a coin, but she wanted to be sure this was something important. "And, was that light flicker something to worry about? I mean it might have been an eclipse. A creepy one."

Joe

Joe really couldn't make heads or tails of what happened.  Rin threw an exploding ice gem.  There was water, than ice, then fire.  Then, a really big fire bird thing that turned into more fire?  Either way, he and Rin were surrounded by a wall of flames.  Sweat began to trickle down his face as the increased tension and actual heat flowed into his body.  With his back to Rin's, he looked around, desperately scanning for the pirate.

"Take that!" He roared.

Joe's body tightened as he prepared for impact.

Vanguard

Vanguard rubbed his temple and looked at Medaka with the same tiredness one expects from someone speaking to children, which he was. He expected her to figure it out by now, could it be he had overestimated her?

"Forget it, it's not my job to explain it to you anyways."

Then, he turned and glanced down at the blonde creature, a jet black monument crowned with a mane of silver, casting a shadow on her greater than the mightiest tower. But size and posture meant nothing compared to the mocking smirk that crawled on his lips at the sight of her.

"Someone you care for? How amusing. Then tell me, why did you let me trample on this dear person in the first place? If you didn't intend to leave her to her fate, you should have stopped me. Disgusting."

Oka Kurosawa

Oka looked around as she heard a familar name get called out, looking to see if there was this girl whom Medusa had claimed looked similar to her.

Nope, nobody in sight.

In fact, they seemed to be the only people about in the first place. Nobody else was outside in this part of town, seemingly. Well, that wasn't exactly surprising, she had been wandering through a rough part of town, after all.

Suddenly, something clicked in her head.

That meant he was talking to her after all! So she turned, and facing him warily, she asked him a simple question.

"Who the hell are you?"

Liseth

"Go outside, you said. It'll be fun, you said. There won't be anything really weird going on, you implied. We're staying inside next time." If it wasn't for the relatively playful look on Liseth's face she could be mistaken for being overly critical of her girlfriend. Well she was. Just a bit. She was right! This is why you don't go outside. Crazy people who talk to themselves can't be blocked or banned with just a button press outside.

Sure, the guy was weird, but the more important thing was that she was validated. Liseth just ordered some sandwich and a soda before straightening her back and waiting for Emily to initiate.

Lucy

She giggled at his choice of wording. "You know, the mystery isn't the only thing you might want to unravel." But she could save that for later. Instead, she just gave him another quick kiss on the cheek and led him out of the store with the Messenger's running interference on payment.

It took a little bit but they made it to the quaint little apartment that she was... borrowing. Rather basic, really, but the cards, board games, and vast amounts of wine spoke of her presence.

Mordred

"No, I don't think so. I can usually tell when something's not normal. I've sort of feeling that this wasn't just an eclipse. I can't detect what caused this incident, but my gamble is that this wasn't a natural occurence. That's why I wanted to phone people from the force. Maybe they will know more." Mordred shared her suspicions about the phenomenon. "You're sure that you didn't feel anything?"

Julius

"Taking a calculated risk is something that I prefer. Even finely crafted plans may fall apart in the contact with the enemy. That goes for us, but the same goes for the creature. If it's the same creature
that you fought, it may know about you or Lady Emiya, but I am the unknown factor. While I would gladly share details about my weapon otherwise, ..." Julius rested his hand on the grip of the whip "... this fiend might possess some means with which it could observe us."

Count Julius was the type of warrior who prefer to adapt to the situation as it changed. It was hard to predict what could lie in a lair of a beast, and his crusade favored thinking on one's feet.

Petra

Ugghhh, considering the smell, she really didn't ask what happened. There was also the fact that she ran into one of few people that she didn't feel like meeting in such circumstances. Considering Forest's reputation among the police, it was quite clear that associating with a gangster was more safe than with such an unruly vigilante. On another hand, such sort of people wouldn't likely take 'no' as an answer, most likely, and follow their sense of justice (or what they perceived as the justice).

Petra conspiciously pretended to not recognize Forest. Maybe she would just go away if a miracle happened.

Medaka Kurokami

That was not the response she was looking for.

Regardless, a new problem arose.  The tension had shifted away from her and onto Shinobu.  Unfortunately, the blond did not share her values when it came to confrontation.  This conversation could devolve quickly.

Medaka followed behind the elder vampire, standing just behind her.  She wrapped her body around the blond's arm, sandwiching her torso around it.  She attempted a light pull in the opposite direction to at least get out of the man's space.  "You knew I would be alright.  You don't have to prove anything to this man," she pleaded, trying to reason with the blond.

Rin

He responded with that little bit of magic with all of this.  Not surprising.  Guy takes flaming and flamboyant to a whole new level, Rin thought to herself.

She felt Joe standing at her back right as the flaming attack went at them.  However, instead of tumbling below, Rin grabbed Joe and jumped with Reinforced might.  She went straight through the flames holding Joe as safe as possible right at Lorenzo.  Or rather, she landed beside him, pointed her finger and unleashed a gandr wordlessly at his face.

Forest

"Me? I'm just someone who's trying to start a legitimate business and I find wankers selling poison to kids.  So I track these tossers down and I didn't like what they wanted to do with me so I defended myself," Forest said with a shrug.

It was the truth.  For all intents and purposes.

Then a third person entered the room, and Forest recognized Petra from that encounter in the mall, but Petra didn't recognize her.

Or is pretending not to recognize me.  Well fuck her, fuck this fucking mick, and fuck these wankers, Forest thought before picking up the suitcase full of Walter White's finest and throwing it at her feet.  "Here, evidence," she said before starting to head out of the room, planning on raiding the safe she got the combination for.  "You're bloody welcome."

Lorenzo Remei

The fiery figure could barely respond to the mage's quick reaction, the curse shot through its head unceremoniously. And yet, something was off. Lorenzo, or whatever had just been hit, did not fall but instead fluttered around, as if he was a figure among many others, flickering like a flame. Magic and life had over saturated the entirety of the flames, even if she could detect him it would've been difficult.

Thus, trusting one's senses wouldn't have been a bad move, if the fire wasn't alive that is. It was nearly impossible to tell, but the Lorenzo that had been hit was nothing more than a fabrication that extinguished along with all the blazes. A skeleton lit on fire doesn't look very different from fire, especially when the entire surroundings are set ablaze.

Had he not removed his coat, the trick would've been figured out naturally, but as it stood now, Lorenzo was fire.

The flames submerging the ship flickered and vanished in an instant, leaving no trace of their existence. No fire, no heat, nothing safe a dangerously cold feeling trickling the side of Rin's neck, and a familiar voice whistling from behind. If she had observed and waited a while, she would have noticed the decoy and he wouldn't have been able to sneak up on her. That's why the flamboyance and ridiculous fire displays helped. There is stealth to be found in loudness.

The way she was standing, this must've seemed like a 45 inch steel dose of bad luck. But the truth was, the game was rigged from the start.

"Nice try, but sorry. I'm afraid the only battles I play fair are the ones under bed sheets." He said sarcastically, savoring his victory.

Rin

"Actually, I wouldn't quite count your victory yet," Rin said, bristling as she turned to the "real" Lorenzo.

She looked at Joe and asked, "Could you call the Police and let them know that Sakura Matou's sister is being tormented by a very dangerous member of the undead?"

She knew Sakura donated a lot of money to the police; an absurd amount really, and that prejudices against the undead ran high.  Hell, some of the members from what she heard would take out this pirate because he would annoy the hell out of them.  Not to mention, if something happened to Sakura's precious sister there would be hell that no one would want to pay.

Lorenzo Remei

"...who's Sakura?" He mumbled flatly, kinda genuinely curious, even if peeved at how she'd accuse him of tormenting her just to make him look like the bad guy and deny the fact he Lorenzo Remei absolutely destroyed her. Then he turned to look at Joe.

"Anyway, please don't listen to her. Just listen to me and I'll pay you 10 000 gold coins by next week, promise. Please?"
