Forest

"Somethings I just chalk up to as 'magic'," Forest said with a grin as she returned the firm handshake, "Now getting your heart to beat is a cool trick.  The supernatural is out of the bag here honestly, and I don't really try to hide it here.  Too late at this point now actually.  You keeping up the Masquerade at this point though?"

She'd been shocked when she had been videoed doing supernatural stuff, and at this point the cops knew who and what she was.

Liam

"For now. It works out pretty good for me, and I don't show up much in photo or video anyway. It ain't that busy keepin' it under wraps. I can make folk forget they saw me if I gotta." And not always with a broke knee and a good talking to neither. He glanced to the window, then winced when he heard Petra smacking up some other fella elsewhere.

Forest

"Around here there are people who you can't make forget.  The police have one on staff, a tiny blond thing," Forest said, clinching her fists at the thought of one Noel Vermilion.  "She's got immunity."

And I'm telling some random vampire I just met to stay away from a cop who's immune to mind powers.  For all I know he might have no moral compass.   Yet he's working with Petra.  He's also polite too, and not arrogant and full of himself.

She silently graded him, deciding he was somewhat dangerous when pushed, but not outright evil.  Anything else she'd have to find out by either interacting or observing him.  She did note he didn't say a word at her sudden viking behavior.

Lucy

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." She recited it almost by instinct. Well, it might not be perfectly accurate but it was close enough.

She rested her chin on his shoulder and stroked his hair as she spoke directly into his ear. "It has been a long time since someone has felt sympathy true sympathy for the Devil. For me. I will remember that too when the time comes. But I don't think many will remember me after. Who should care for what happens to the villain when the heroes have their happy ending?"

"I am not someone you should come to love, Gadreel. Lust and desire are things befitting of me, but love in any capacity will grant you nothing." Her hand found his and gripped it tightly nonetheless.

Gadreel

He had no deep thoughts for this now. It was a response which would haunt his attentions for the foreseeable future, but for now his rebuttal was a simple one. "You would be surprised." Gadreel rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb.

Rafalia Tredecim

Oh, so he was a god? Is that why his will was tempered in such a peculiar way, slumbering hot from a forge where it was cast between folds of itself? Like an ore of dust, gathered from a million beatings and erosions that came to nestle together, it was simple and rough, but rich. Which didn't stop its emanation from having very ordinary and unimpressive problems, but.

Whatever they made of the world, gods didn't get to have perfect relationship satisfaction by default. Rafalia stuck out an arm to pat his shoulder, grinning like a coach glad to drill middle school students.

"Maybe you're not looking in the right places! Humans are a tough crowd, tougher than spirits in some way. Usually it's easier to wrangle them from a cult or something. Making yourself a subject of unholy adoration can't be that difficult?" Rafalia pursed her lips, arching her brows like a wave before continuing, "Socially productive unholy adoration though, less troubles with the authorities that way. Unless the intent is to make them the authorities, but logistics are a pain in the ass so I wouldn't. Really - woop, ack on track now - I looks to me like you jsut need some patience to find the right person!"

If he could actually talk to them first that is.

[13:38:37] Helligator: Depends on the god, but gods by definition in Nasuverse are strong because they have divine authority.
[13:38:48] Kat: Even the toilet god?
[13:38:56] Helligator: No one worships toilets.
[13:39:00] Helligator: Don't be a shitlord.

[04:32:08] Helligator: I can't make dragons in power armor like this

[19:50:12] francobull III: [...] why are you being all assive aggressive?

[23:32:37] Helligator: use the narrative as a means to convey an interesting story and cool conflicts with the openness you're allowed
[23:32:43] Helligator: not to CHEAT stories and conflicts

Vanguard

Vanguard glared down at the woman and did not show the slightest hint of emotion, yet the slight trembling of his hand betrayed him. Could it be that he did not have full control of his own body? It didn't matter. But those eyes, those sad, pitiful eyes. He refused them, all of her sadness, all of her compassion, he would never accept it. Not from her, not from anyone.

How annoying, for a monster to stir his heart so.

"Theodore is dead." He said simply, and for the first time in a long while he sounded hollow. "No, he was never alive to begin with. He was but an echo of failure, a pathetic man who had failed to protect the ones he held dear and chased after a shadow that was never there to begin with. Eventually, he even forgot what he was searching for, or why. I wonder, will you follow in his footsteps?"

Because compassion was the furthest thing from understanding, he would have none of it. These useless feelings that weighted his heart down, what of them? He stopped hurting long ago, even now all he was left with was a husk of metal. Home, prison, sanctuary, body, they all rang the same to him. Seeing how harshly they protected one another, no, seeing how she rushed to defend her friend. It all just reminded him of unpleasantness, something precious he had lost but could never obtain.

He turned around and left. There was no longer cruelty in his words, nor was there broken misery. It was stern, commanding, harsh yet it rang truer than ever.

"You bore me, Medaka. If you feel so passionate about protecting your friend, protect your life instead. You can't save anyone if you're dead, we both know what your martyrdom has caused. You both still have too much to lose, playing like idiots suits you best. Then again, it makes no difference anymore, does it?"

Her other hand rubbed against the angel's chest and she smirked at his response. "Are you trying to tempt me from my path as well? I wouldn't count on it. Your exploits are relatively well known to me." The false prophet sounded incredibly amused about the whole thing.

One of the angel's eyebrows lifted in an aristocratic sort of fashion. His lips stretched out more into a smile. "So I shouldn't bother with the apple this time, then? I suppose I can blame Enoch for this..."

An amused smile adorned his face as he started pouring some of his so despised alcohol into two glasses and placed it infront of the girls. They'd be singing another tune soon, it was inecitable once the tasted the liquid delight presented to them, the bottle itself might look ordinary to most people. Anyone with any sort of taste in alcohol should be able to recognize it as a high class brand worth a small fortune for every bottle.

"Please, like I'd need alcohol to date rape girls. It's way more fun to do them when they're willing anyways." He turned to look at at the incredibly cute redhead. "I bet ms. unnaturally attractive here knows what I'm talking about."

Methuselah

"I'm afraid that won't do, Rafalia. I do not need any riches, fame or intense joy, nor do I want to be subject to any deep despair. Temples, servants, battles, grandeur... the view from the peak has grown tiresome to me. No, that won't do at all."

For a moment, Methuselah smiled and looked at the clear sky.

"All I seek is to live a peaceful, quiet life, like a plant. A little happiness is more than enough for a little god like me, if I could find someone to belong to, to find somewhere to return to... that would be enough."

Shirou

A look of confusion came over Shirou's face at both the girl's question, a feeling that was only confused by the fact that the sheet with a drawn-on face on the girl's head was somehow mimicking her movement, as if it were alive. The only "Rider" he knew of was the one who had been Shinji's stolen servant in the Grail War. And, whilst he trusted Sakura when she said the servant was not as bad as he had once thought, the fact remained that she was dead. So, how could this girl know her?

"I have met her", he said, obviously confused, "but she died several years ago, before I arrived here."

Rider

Rider, listening in to the conversation between Ron and her master as she awaited her food, felt somewhat offended by his failure to mention the full range of delicious ingredients. Knowing that Sakura had previously expressed a liking for the food of her homeland, and that Garlic sauce was a common ingredient on kebabs sold in Japan, she decided to add some extra suggestions.

"You could also add some olives, or cheese. The feta cheese should be especially nice with pita bread. They also have garlic sauce, if you want that instead of the options Ron gave", she added with a smile.

"Well, I'd think you'd have something more to offer than just an apple. Surely you can try a bit harder than that?" She allowed herself to relax and simply rested her body against him as she waited a response. And she ever so gently squeezed his hand once or twice.

"I said it's fine." He said, clearly trying to dodge the subject. "So what brings you here?"

Lorenzo Remei

The pirate looked at them curiously before laughing. "Ho? Very well, It's only fitting for the leader to lead away. Bwahahahaha!"

Then, he walked up to the middle of the two and sat with his legs crossed, stretching a little before slamming the boat with his skeletal hands dramatically, commanding attention while remaining imposing.

"I, the great Lorenzo Remei, have been dealing with some time with a group of pirates calling themselves the Mafeeaah. A weird bunch of em, the whole lot, but I needed the money to afford a room. Lately, they had been paying me less and less, so I was planning to leave their service when I overheard their captain speaking of an expedition to find a treasure. Of course, no one is allowed to touch my treasures without my permission, as if I'd let some old fart get a hold of what is rightfully mine. So I convinced them to join the expedition, only to pillage their ship to get it first. Bwahahahahahahaha!!! Genius, right?"

Joe

For a moment Joe's eyes widened, genuinely enthralled in the story.  However, the moment the pirate's mouth stopped moving, raised his eyebrow and pursed his lips, giving an almost sarcastic look.  "So what?  You burned down the ship knowing you can't swim?"  He said, poking fun of his interesting idotic story.

He is probably bullshitting anyway.  He thought to himself.

For a moment, he glanced at his surroundings.  They actually weren't that far from shore.  Although, without an engine it could take a while before they actually got to beach.

Emily

Emily allowed enough time to give Liseth a look of acceptance of her accusations before turning her attention back to the intruder, who was now pouring out glasses for them.

Even if Emily wasn't much of a wine connoisseur, she had a basic understanding all the same. Even she could tell the wine he was pouring was a highly valued vintage, and under normal circumstances she might have been tempted to try a taste. More important, however, was what he said.

"Flattering," Emily said with a neutral tone, trusting Liseth to trust her here, "But I'm afraid that this is quite natural to me. Nothing I can do about it. What guarantee do we have that you won't try something of that nature, though?"
