Meti

The feeling of the blade warming up against her had the sword master blush. Then she shifted over a bit, hands tight on the sword. "Katase," a breath of hesitation, "should I treat this puppet as if it was you?" Her question was genuine as she stroked the blade lovingly.

Muramasa Katase

the words are mine. it might as well be

The sword sent the closest thing to comfort that the Muramasa could muster for someone like Meti. That is to say, it might well have driven a normal person mad with demonic urges. But for someone like this it shouldn't be a problem. That was just a sign of the weapon's undivided attention.

"By all means, Meti-chan."

Oh... She had adapted her tongue to this place for quite a while but if the sword was to initiate in such a manner. Meti considered how to address the blade as she shivered in delight at the intensity of the masterful weapon's demonic will.

So she held out the blade and bowed. Her body quivering and breath panting and lovesick as she pleaded, "Katase-sama, please take me as your tool. I don't wish to be anything that isn't yours. I played at patience, but I cannot withstand it anymore. I plead with you, take me as part of yourself!"

They were getting looks at that. Meti didn't care.

The demon only listened absentmindedly, by that I mean not at all, because he was suddenly distracted by booming steps that almost made the ground quake. He immediately let go of the monk without warning and headed out the door, peeking out of it to see the source of the commotion.

His eyes opened wide when he saw the massive hulking oni strolling along the streets, scaring most away. Not him, instead, he saw the opportunity for what it was and smiled as brightly as ever before waving joyously at him.

"Hey! Over here! Promotion day, all you can eat food at half price! Free sake!"

There was no way anyone could resist. By that, of course he meant, he would never be able to resist. Now to see if it worked on the big guy...

Muramasa Katase

"E-Eh?" That made her puppet blink and blush harder, not even sure where to begin with how far Meti wanted to take this so quickly. Was she trying to imply that she wanted to die? What a strange girl, even to a sword like her. Still, after a moment the shell of Katase reached out to hold one of Meti's hands. The other was, of course, holding the Muramasa. "So impatient..."

But who was she to deny Meti such an earnest plea, even with her own pain lingering deep in the chorus of souls? Even with the scraps and fragments of dear Kenzo still lurking there, Katase couldn't go untouched by this. So the souls in the steel seemed to almost reach up and tug at Meti, as if trying to drag her under into their ranks. Her body, stubborn thing that it was, resisted and refused to allow it.

Still, she could feel herself beginning to drown. Her hand let go of the puppet's, and picked up a cup of tea. Katase tasted it with Meti's tongue.

If Meti still had total control of her body's functions she probably would have made some impossibly pleased and somewhat indecent sound. Instead she let herself sink in as close as possible into the wild storm that was the blade's being. She began to feel whole and real. Nearing completeness. But not quite yet. She needed time.

Until her breath, and body, and mind, and spirit were sharp. Perfect as Katase was perfect. Would the blade know these thoughts, she wondered. Her heartfelt desires.

Waka

After looking around to see who was talking to who, Waka turned his eyes to the small pointy-eared human standing by the door. A rumbling baritone asked the most important question. "Sake...?" He pointed to himself. He didn't have money. But sake was free. That was good. "Okay."

There was sake there. This was good. Waka moved to try to go inside. It was hard. The door was small. "Excuse me."

Letting Engetsu cook would be taking too much of gamble. She honestly had to take care of it. So she decided to seize the control in this situation and act as if she was responsible for cooking in the establishment. "If there's anything you'd like to request, just tell me, dear customer, I'll cook whatever you wish to order." She said with a wide smile on her face.

That was for the best. The giant oni felt... neutral. She neither detected malicious aura nor he really felt like Engetsu. Either way, she didn't want to risk Engetsu getting on his nerves with a display of bad cooking.

Muramasa Katase

The sword kept its wielder there, enjoying that feeling of closeness. The increasing understanding as Meti let down as many boundaries as she could and let Katase feel her in there. Yes, this was safer, keeping her wielder's spirit deep inside with as little connection to her own body as possible. This way if Meti died she'd be okay.

She should have done this with Kenzo, but she'd just been so caught up in everything. No risks would be taken now.

relax. we have time.

The Muramasa moved Meti's body to stand then, finished with her tea, and took the hand of her puppet so they could walk out together. "That was good tea," she said with Meti's voice.

"It was. But it was better because it was with you." She could feel the sword's will through her. Saturating every tendon and muscle with its power. Utterly controlling her. Making her completely beholden to Katase's whims and desire. She could barely feel her own body as it moved.

But it was more than that. Her very soul had been pulled as deep as it could into the blade. She allowed every border she could to dissolved. To hammer herself into the vastness of Katase's soul. Meti could barely perceive anything that wasn't Katase. Everything was as it should be.

At total peace, Meti performed the practice of self-annihilation. Her hand a hand that was cutting, her body a body that was cutting, her mind a mind that was cutting, her soul a soul that was cutting. The ultimate expression and wish of a sword. And she rested in the embrace of the blade, content in being as indistinct and influenced as possible.

"Cut the crap Liam, there's no need to pretend. you want my blood and you're not above using a trick like earlier to get it." She moved closer and pinned him to the wall.

"So unless you want this to be a problem, I want you to tell me how much you want. I'm willing to give you a reasonable amount after how damn good that felt."

He didn't bother to struggle. If he needed to in a minute though, he would. "Miss, I try not to make a habit of eating my personal employees more than once. I really do need a maid for the place. But since you're insisting..."

Liam nodded. "Couple mouthfuls should be good. Your blood's got this odd sorta potency to it. Fills ya right up."

But I'm the owner... The demon's ears perked down like a puppy who had just been kicked by the monk's proposal. He helped the massive oni in, gently pushing him inside like a giant bag of potatoes that had to be squeezed inside an air vent.

"Sorry, I should definitely have the place remodeled. A bigger door wouldn't hurt..." He bantered, soon enough managing to pop the big hulking ogre in. Phew.

"Welcome to my humble inn." He said with a nervous chuckle before wiping the dust and soot off the oni. "Make yourself comfortable! And don't hesitate to ask for anything." He said with a friendly grin. Then, he turned to the monk and poked her forehead, as if kinda annoyed by her earlier proposal.

"If you want to help, please make sure the guest is entertained. I'll bring the tea and sake in a bit." He said before heading to the pantry.

The strange feeling reached the breaching point as he kissed her hand. "Pffft hahaha... You actually kissed my hand. Are you a fairu tail knight, Sir Gadreel?" She shook her head slightly and pulled her hand back.

"Oh so you want a demonstration well..." An evil grinned formed as she spoke. "I can...." She quickly grabbed him and threw him over the edge of the roof. A blink of an eye later, she appeared beneath him to catch him. "...Do this."

Waka

Waka didn't want to be a bad guest. People don't usually give free sake. That meant he had to be very nice to them. They also helped him get inside. That was nice of them. Eventually he found somewhere on the floor to sit without breaking anything, and crossed his legs. He looked down at the monk. "Thank you for the hospitality."
