"No need to be so nervous Rick, I like you enough." A small smile was given and with that the blonde Servant leaned in further. And gave him a quick peck on his lips.

"So how's my seduction attempt going along? Feeling needy yet?" She teased him with a not s o little degree of humour to it. This was sure to provoke an amusing reaction. And it would serve nicely as a distraction until those two got back.

Roderick

Lords of Light, she's just playing with me like a cat would a mouse, isn't she?

Heat that rivaled the most powerful fireball he'd ever cast filled Roderick's cheeks. 

Then the little vixen leaned in further and lightly and quickly kissed his lips.  He felt his eyes widen as his heart quicken, knots forming in his stomach.  A bright red flush that made his eyes seem even bluer but clashed with his hair spread across his cheeks.

"So how's my seduction attempt going along? Feeling needy yet?"

He swallowed and said, "I . . . I am trying to show restraint!  Besides, I have never had anyone attempt to seduce me before!"

Yes, oh yes. This was what she'd been waiting for. That embarrassment clearly visible on his face was nothing short of exquisite. She took pride in having caused him to show that, even if it was a bit twisted to think so.

"See restraining yourself isn't healthy at your age, take more risk and live more wildly. I guarantee it's much more fun that way."

Roderick

Roderick sighed at Brutae's words and shook his head.  "I cannot take more risks.  I have a very large responsibility to uphold," Roderick said while clinching his fists.  "I have people who look to me for guidance.  I cannot just throw caution to the wind and live by my wishes alone."

It was true.  Wulfscry depended on him as its heir and if he let go with his magic . . . his whole life was fraught with control and tempering himself.

She giggled once more. Ah that self centered importance of the youthful, how innocently naive. It was good that his took his duties seriously at least, if a bit too seriously.

"And how does any of that prevent you from having a little bit of fun with me here?" She asked him sincerely. "You're being a bit too harsh on yourself."

Roderick

She was giggling at him again and Roderick felt his blood roaring in his ears like thunder as heat continued to wash over him in waves. 

It was different than when he didn't use his magic and fire escaped from him.  No, this was something else all together.  He rubbed the back of his neck and swallowed.

"Well yes!  Because what if I got you with child?  Or I annoyed you with my lack of experience," Roderick said before looking into her mismatched eyes with a frown.

Good luck on that part, it would require a miracle to impregnate her, not that he would know that.  But... She could humour that thought, just for a while.

Brutae nodded slowly to him as if acknowledging his questions and then gave her response. "You'd be a good father seeing how you're so strict with upholding your duties. As for our child, he or she would be the heir of two noble families, my own and the one I'm assuming you're from." She listed off the supposed positives happily.

"But of course that won't happen since I can't carry a child in my current form."

The sorcerer blinked as Brutae put a positive spin on a potential accidental pregnancy.  And then she informed him that she couldn't get with child.  Which made him blink twice and furrow his brow.

Then he tilted his head and said, "I don't know if I should apologize or congratulate you on that.  On one hand you cannot be a mother if you wished it, but on the other you wouldn't be bringing any other unwanted bastards in the world."

As the consequence of an "accidental" - well planned for royal manipulation - pregnancy, he knew what it was like to have the whispers behind his back for both his bastard status and the fact he was a half-breed.

Rider

Rider frowned as the girl winced at the mention of her healing, worried that she'd given the wrong impression and ruined her chances. Before she could respond, though, the girl continued to speak, asking her for some help in learning to fight.

"Well, what would you offer me in return?" Rider replied, the sultry smile on her face making it obvious what it was she wanted.

"I'm not sure how much help I could be, though", she added. "I'm powerful, yes, but I don't really have much training, and my fighting style isn't one that a normal person could copy."

The woman's approach and Gojira's response told Adjutor all she needed to know, the monster hunter allowing a quiet sigh in the time it took for their little exchange to end. As the newcomer moved, so did Adjutor, using the shadows she'd set up to step behind the newcomer just as she sent Gojira crashing through the table, drawing her steel sword in one fluid motion and swinging back, stopping just short of slicing into the newcomer's throat as her reinforcement kicked in, sharpening the blade further.

"Any chance we can solve this without starting a fight?" Adjutor asked, knowing there probably wasn't much of a point in doing so after her new friend had just been slammed through a table.

Emily

"I didn't mean in teaching me how to fight," Emily said with a hint of hesitation, "I'm not much for that sort of thing, even putting aside the Hippocratic oath. I meant more in the sense of keeping an eye out for me. It wouldn't be for too long, just for trips to and from work at night or things like that."

Granted, she had her Contracts for escaping sticky situations, but those were rather pricey tools and it would be nice to have another option. The company would also be nice, for that matter.

"As for what I can offer you," the redhead continued, leaning in with a bright smile on her face, "Well, I think we both know just what that is."

Rider's body began to heat up once again as the girl's response caused her to imagine all the fun they could have together. Certainly, she had no issue with what the girl was asking for. After all, it was difficult to have sex with a dead person.

"Oh I see", she replied with a smile.

"Well, of course I would be happy to protect my girlfriend. But, I cannot promise that I will be able to always be there, my ma...friend comes first. If she needs me then I am afraid you will have to travel alone", she added.

A look of concern came over her face. After all, she knew the city could be dangerous, and she couldn't promise to always be able to protect the girl, whatever she might offer in return. Sakura's safety and happiness came first, even before her own.

"Do you have any way of holding off an attacker or delaying them? If you are ever in trouble, if you call me I will usually be able to get there quickly. My friend is understanding, if someone I care for is in trouble then she'll let me go save them unless she truly needs me", she added.

Oh she wanted to show off her the next in a line of captures it looked, wait a moment. She looked far more excited than usual, this could be bad. It's not like he was checking her out, no not at all.

"Wait a minute, does this regice even fit in here? Oh and ice powers you say, is that why you're so excited? Already trying to replace me?" He teased her.

Paladin

He blinked at the question and outpouring of feelings. That felt rather personal, even for Paladin. But it wasn't as if he could deny such a request now that Anastasia had already told him what troubled her. "Well, if I were to have a dream... It would be to grow old. To attain a position of high enough ranking and teach the next generation of initiates. I would fill my journal with all that I have encountered and then, then I would like to die in my sleep."

"It is a small dream. But I am a simple man." Paladin was happy enough wit that. He was not a man of great ambitions. It simply was no longer in his nature.


Suzuko

Suzuko frowned for a moment. Then she stood up and placed a hand on the other woman's shoulder, firm and comforting at once. "There aren't many people who are. But you have to be confident in yourself. As long as you make sure that you're listening to your kid and the people around you you'll do as well as anyone can."

Sakura Matou

Sakura sighed. "Well, yeah, that's what everyone tells me, but it doesn't exactly help with my worries, you know? She's my first child, my baby girl, you know..."

"It just makes me really worried."

"Uhhh, you're exaggarating. There's no way I can compete with you under normal circumstances." Well, that was true if she didn't transform or use the tricks she had in her sleeves. Should she try do something as inconspiciously as she could or just fold? She didn't like to lose, but she also didn't want to reveal herself as someone better than she was.
