Raikou
Raikou walked down the cacaphonous streets with an impatient gait, his sunglass-covered eyes swaying from one side to the other of the street. Looked like any regular metropolis from here, some bystanders with weird features aside. But well, this hellhole wouldn't be worth the title if it wasn't for how unpredictable it was.
The mobsters he'd interrogated with a smile confirmed to him the risks weren't that different, but broad daylight wasn't as showy back home. The small amount of monster hunting he'd been able to get on (just recon, if he was honest) told him the same story. On one hand, sure. On the other, talk about a lack of taste. People running through the streets, lightning a panic and calling ordinary policemen to get killed? What a shitshow.
Raikou seemed to be looking at that right now, which made it not so surprising when someone bumped into him turning a corner, sending him and a girl, surprisingly, stumbling back at the same time.
"Oops now," he said, recovering his footing and pulling on her wrist to pull her upright. Surprisingly, a cute one too, though the look on her face didn't seem like an innocent one.
That wouldn't have gotten him the slightest bit on edge by itself, but when the whole of her figure momentarily lit up with a tenebrous mass under the filter of lenses, his grip tightened.
"Better watch your step, girlie," he said, smirking over his sunglasses. "What's all the commotion about?"
