That story sounded completely unbelievable. To have gone to another world, the mere idea was preposterous. But she had to see this, if only to prove how foolish the girl was being. The knight took her advice and made her way out of the church, the battered doors fell of their hinges with a resounding crash when she bumped into them on the way out.

"There is a cult in the capital who believes having as many strong men as possible have their way with the same woman would make strong children. They got interested in me after I developed my magic..." She did not particularly feel like divulging any more information about that whole thing to a stranger. With those memories reading fleetingly head again she didn't even notice how Fran had mispronounced her name.

The battered building began to creak, the fire-damaged beams making splintering sounds. Fran hurried out of the building as it collapsed behind her. When they stood outside Stella would see some disheveled but well built buildings around them, all fairly sturdy, the collapsed one behind them aside. But in the distance rose gigantic high rise buildings, some hundreds of stories tall. "This is Nexus City." Fran swept her arm out. She didn't purse the topic of that disgusting sounding cult any further. It sounded like a rather disgusting affair that was best left forgotten. "You can stay with me for now, if you'd like. I work as a city guardswoman for my day job. It's good for training, and I was always taught to take care of strangers." The girl bowed to the obvious noblewoman. "If you don't trust me, I'll be happy to show you around for a while. It gets pretty dangerous at night." She sensed that this girl didn't have very much mana in her, and didn't want to leave her alone.

Sakura and Shirou

The two of them pondered her question for a moment, before Shirou spoke up.

"Well, back home we dealt with whoever was necessary, so we could protect and save people", he said. "Here, though, the strongest supernaturals are simply too strong for us, so we've been bounty-hunting, and helping where we could", he said, clearly a little embarrassed and downbeat about his inability to deal with the most powerful enemies.

"Now that we have Rider, though, we can take on stronger targets. And Senpai's magic means that he can ambush people who are a lot stronger than we are in a straight fight", Sakura added, her admiration of Shirou clear.

"But, still, you're right, we need to be cautious. I'm not sure even Rider could defeat this woman", she finished. "We need to plan and see if we can find a weakness. And try to stop her killing anyone else, if we can."

No that was completely out of the question. She would never accept pity from someone like her. The weird looking structures merely registered as curious background to be checked out at a later time.

"Spare me your pity. I would rather get sold off to that cult than accept help from the likes of you." There was not a hint of hesitation present in her voice.

Sigurd

"I see," he said, stroking his beard.  "I can't help but be a little jealous.  I had to work so hard to compensate for my age, yet your body will never have to go through the same ordeal.  There is a sort of romantic beauty in a body that does not age."

The old man took a deep breath, expelling any sort of anxiety along with the air leaving his body.  Yes, that was a demon he had already beaten.  However, no enemy like that could ever die.  But that is why he was starting to admire that girl.  Her heart appeared to match her beautiful body, except unlike him, her beauty and kindness was unyielding, unaffected by the trials of time.

"Do you fear death?" he asked, his eyes seeming to contain a dim light.

Fran

Fran fidgeted. "Well, I see, that's a pity..." She said quietly. This girl was really just a huge cunt. She almost thought it'd be better if she got ganked in the alleys. "If there's really no way you're going to take me up on my offer, then I'll be taking my leave now." Fran said to her as she turned to take the motorcycle laying on the ground.

Stella

The blonde just followed right behind her. "Hey, I never said you can you just leave. I've got to help you first. Is there anything you'd want from me?"  She bent over and lifted the motorcycle for her with some effort, that thing really weighed a lot. But she managed to lift it at last, the knight smiling proudly at her own work as if she'd just overcome a great enemy.

"Don't feel afraid to ask Fran." She added to it after a bit of pause.

Prism

"Death? Hmm, no. Not really. There are things a lot worse than dying." Then she let out a laugh, rubbing one of her cheeks with her free hand. Just a bit uncomfortable. "But that's a pretty heavy topic, don't you think?

Sigurd

"It is," he said, taking note of her sudden discomfort.  Normally he would push her for his own satisfaction, but it would be dishonorable.  He couldn't do that to her.  It would be far more shameful to push her when she was offering him help.

"But it is a topic that keeps me occupied.  As I grow closer to it, I find that I must continue to reflect on my life.  To save you the trouble, how about you tell me about your life?
 A gem must have had some insightful experiences."

Joe

A yawn escaped Joe's lips as he stretched his arms towards the sky.  Of course, there was no sky because they were inside Sakura's house.  "I am not sure actually," he said, putting his hand under his chin.  "You sort of blindsighted me with that."

Lorenzo

"Emily huh? I'll remember that. Call me Lorenzo if ya like, or milord if you're one the stuffy type. Don't really care." He toyed around with  the glass, only for a burning tiger to pounce out of his cape, moving towards the drink storage before biting a bottle to catch it and bring it back to its master.

"Good boy..." She ruffled the elemental's flaming head before taking in another drink. "Mhhh, that's some good stuff.  You own this place or something?"

Sage

At first she did not recognize the futility of her pursuit. Sage was a dragon, master of the skies in her lands, and only another dragon had ever escaped her like this before. She was furious, too, so she didn't even think about how she wasn't getting any closer. But no amount of effort could bridge the gap between their speeds, and so she was left to hover alone in the skies above this strange land.

As she swooped down and chose one of the taller peaks of metal and glass the humans built to perch on, brooding, Sage found herself wondering if that wasn't for the better.

Lily

Only a few minutes after Sage perches upon the top of the building, a small portal opens on top of the roof opposite Sage's perch, and Lily strode through, closing the portal behind her. Her appearance was left in its natural state of bright purple hair and piercing yellow eyes. She hadn't seen a dragon in years, though the likelihood of seeing one again had sharply increased since being sucked into the Nexus. It would be exciting to talk to one again. She walked up to Sage, looked up, and raised an eyebrow, communicating one message very clearly: Rough day, huh?

Fran

Fran stopped and bit her lip. She really really hated people like this. She just couldn't get a read on her at all! It was so fucking aggravating. She watched her struggle a bit with the motorcycle. Apparently her strength was of the reinforcement type of magic. It was pretty cute how she was so happy to have managed to lift it up though. I want you to be safe and not die. I'd feel really bad if something bad happened to you... She thought to herself.

Well, you could finish my patrol with me, Stella." She figured using her first name was fine if she was going to use hers like that. I was in the middle of it when I heard someone screaming for help and burst in to find that demon."

[Bern]

Stella

The bright smile remained as she turned to look at Fran, that did sound like a very interesting prospect after all. "It would bet honour to help you on your quest to subjugate the miscreants of this land." Then her mood shifted subtly, maybe she was considering something.

"In my land calling a woman older than you by their first name means you intend to bed them." She suddenly said it with a straight face. She took a closer look at the girl. "Are you perhaps a boy?... No, boys aren't that cute."

Fran

Fran suddenly scowled angrily. "I'm not a boy!" She exclaimed, stomping her foot and shaking her arms at Stella. She most certainly hadn't been thinking of bedding her! Just because she was cute didn't mean anything. Personality is the most important.

"Where I'm from it's normal for people to call each other by their first names." She was still acting rather pouty. It was clear Stella's words had triggered Fran in some way. "It just means we know each other and don't feel a need to be super formal about it."

The fact she'd called her cute had damped the blow and Fran quickly calmed back down.

"We should get going. Justice never sleeps!"
