"Hey! My friend!" The pirate cheered at the sudden appearance, raising an empty bottle at the sky before getting up in one swift, graceful motion. "Not much, just the usual fooling around with the cuties. I thought something here was fishy, but I never thought it'd taste that good." He grabbed a tempura shrimp and bit down on it, despite the fact it wasn't fish at all he didn't mind in the slightest.
Of course, what he meant to say was, that he had a deep distrust for this place in the first place. He had surveyed the city many times, and until now found very little on these cultists. Why would they come do something so flashy? Was this some kind of recruitment campaign? He originally intended to find out, but let's just say he forgot about it by the third bottle. It tasted horrid, but it was some strong stuff!
This confirmed his worries though. He noticed everyone staring at her just as she was deciding to pledge. Honestly, being here a second longer gave him the chills himself.
"Hey, hey. You crying or something? Look, okay, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I guess you're a cute lady in your own way, so let's get along. Hic!" He patted the maid on the shoulder, handing her over a shrimp as compensation.
