D&D 4th Edition
« on: December 18, 2013, 01:03:42 AM »
So since the other thread's been dead for awhile and I feel inspired, let's play 4th Edition!

Total noobs are welcome. Well, we need one person who knows their 4E sheet to make sure we're on track, but newbies are welcome. Probably doing this via Roll 20 might be the best idea, but people can vote for whether they want a more IRC thing or a play by post thing.

So, what we're needin' here is some players and a GM. If all else fails, I can do the GM thang, but for that we'll need someone for sure that knows their 4E sheet to make sure I'm making the right calls in all my GM-y might. I have an idea for a character though, so there's that.

I do have a few requirements though, even if I don't end up as GM. The alignment system is the same as the one for 3.5. And it's more of a fun, not quite serious RP, more along the lines of this: Let's Play Dungeons and Dragons Episode 1 Act I Basically, some serious moments, but sillier sheet is AOK.

And... that's it! Though behaving, all getting along, that's a requirement too, but hopefully that should go without saying. So, let's get some people in here!

GM:

Players:
Nachos
Magos
Cherry Lover

I can keep you all on track with that, but I'm not GM'ing this.

Nachos on list! :D

And gotcha on that, Magos. :) So I assume that means you go on the player list too? :3

On the list you go! :3 As for nights, that'll depend on what works for everybody and whether we do it via Roll 20 or play by post. :)

Actually, considering that Lantz wanted to run a D&D campaign, why don't we see if he wants to GM this one.

Well, I'm potentially interested, if we can find a way to do this that will suit everyone.

Welcome to the gloriously hellish world of online gaming for brits.

I found a decent trick is doing a session earlier on a weekend day. Works rather well, and allows you to participate fully like us.

Adding Cherry to ze list! :3 But yeah, stating times and the way you'd prefer to play wouldn't hurt, definitely. :)

Well, ideally Monday - Thursday from about 7 PM to 2 AM British time, since I do often go away weekends, but that is unlikely to be realistic.

As a more realistic option, just about anything between about 2 PM and 4 AM British time on Saturday and Sunday should be doable most weeks, as well as 7 PM to 2 AM Friday.

...I think we can swing that for sunday and saturday. Hell, if you wanted you could join my Hunter Game with that schedule.

Still doing mine actually arch. It's just taking awhile because I'm scaling and adapting things. As for GMing this I have serious issues with 4th edition in addition to the prep I'm doing for my game.

Are you kidding Lantz? 4e is like the easiest edition to GM. 3.5e is a clusterfuck of thirdparty splatbooks and shit.

I'm free most nights these days, with school done for the semester. So, m'good with anything.

Unless there is a snowstorm and I'm out shoveling, but I'd give you a warning beforehand.
