I take it you put the glow so high so you wouldn't have to draw detail for the wings?
Good Plan :)

My only complaints:
Background seems a little too simplistic

Thinner face? (It's just a personal preference)

And most importantly:

THE HANDS ARE IN THE WAY!!

Duly noted. I still have very little experience with backgrounds, so I did what I could. =_=;
And most importantly: THE HANDS ARE IN THE WAY!!
:P

Once again, I tried my hand at coloring. Since my BG skills are still abysmal, a transparent image will have to suffice.

Levia-san from Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san. Gotta be one of my favorite characters from that show. :D

Don't really know the series, so my comments on the art may be inaccurate

Based on Google images...the only slight problem would be the eyes are a little too close. Moe moe eyes are usually a little further apart, I think

Suggestion: try making backgrounds for some images you've already drawn, to get practice. You work on a pad, so you could just import one of your older pictures without ruining it by accident

Yeah, like OPOI said, her eyes seem too close together. The coloring is really good though, and you drew her body so well. :D Keep it up, and have more confidence in yourself~

I gotta say...not exactly my best. I still need lots of improvement when it comes to shading...
Still, this was done kinda quickly (4 hours vs Levia's 6.5), since I wanna go to sleep... =_=

Your shading's not bad at all. Oh god you're like Revs, Nasho and Tus aren't you, forever complaining about your seeming lack of talent aren't you?

Though the hair...the top part is only a lighter shade if light is shining in from above her...it would make more sense to put the lighter shade on the bangs...

You did a good job with her expression.

Hmm, well, it's pretty good. The shadow seems a bit too sharp, though (yes, shadows are pretty sharp, but they're not literally just dark in one bit and light in the next (for a start, the sun isn't a point source). Other than that, yeah, what OPOI said. The lighting of her face looks weird, because you seem to have literally just drawn a straight line across it.

Your drawing style is definitely good, though.

If you guys mean the two shade-looking things in both corners, it's because they weren't originally supposed to be shadows. They ended up looking like such and kinda cool, so I left them in. Can't remember what I was going for there, though.
Then again, I was tired at the time (notice I forgot to add lighting).

Thanks for the comments. :)

Well, I've been missing the last two weeks, stuck in a creative slump and a bit depressed due to various circumstances, but thanks to awesome JAM Project music, I finally managed to draw something.

This is the result of...well, a lot of things.
  • Playing some Super Robot Wars J
  • Watching Pacific Rim
  • SRW JAM Project songs
  • Re-watching Mazinkaiser
  • Playing JAM Project's "Kanjite Knight" and "The Guardian" non-stop
It's actually another idea that got into my head. This time, giant robots. Yeah, giant robots. Don't know what I'll do with this one, but at least, unlike most of the others, I actually managed to write some world-building for this one! (instead of everything being in my head).

This one is actually a quickie I did before the previous one. It's a character from the idea above, named Pandora. Crying because of plot reasons. Speaking of, how do you tears? (Because mine don't look like so)

Oh wow, you did a nice job KAIZA. O_O Keep it up! :D

As for the tears... while the tear stream looks tear-like to me (in the anime sense, anyway), if you want more realistic tears, it may not hurt to draw a droplet near the origin of the tear stream, at her bottom eyelid.

It also depends on whether you want to depict it as being a long period of crying, or whether they've just started crying. If they've just started, some droplets on the lower eye lid will do. If they've been crying and are still crying, then you want the droplets along with the tear stream/salt trail. :)

Also, making it a bit  more watery might help as well. :) Add more viscosity and depth to the tear stream.

If ever in doubt, taking a look at a few pictures of people crying both anime style and in real life may help a bit. Hope that helps! :D

Also, welcome back! :D

Very in depth story, you've clearly given a lot of thought to this. It reminds me a lot of neon Genesis...

Art:

The robot seems a little simplistic...reminds me of Eva 01 blended with Gurren lagann
It's probably just personal bias, but I tend to give mobile suits lots of details, go for facial like features.
Fingers don't have joints?

The girl, wow, great job with her; gave me the creeps when I saw her.
As Revs said, tears are fine for the most part, but I think they usually have a tear drop sitting at the corner of the eyes.

And yeah Welcome back Kaiza!

*le sigh*
College and stuff has been quite stressful lately, not to mention I'll be entering exams next week.

Oh, well. Drawing helps take the pain away.
This time is Polt the Kobold from the latest chapter of Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou!
Decided to use brushes this time instead of the pen for lineart. I don't know, but I find it more comfortable to use even if the lineart is not as good.

Hmm, this actually looks pretty good, although the face looks rather flat.
