The music of the modern age pulsed in a beat as his boot crushed the ground underneath it, larger combat boots and a pair of softer steps following afterwards. They walked in silence, there conversation having naturally come to a close a moment before, each of them walking quietly under the moonlit sky.

Every single being that resided in No-Man's Land had fled at their approach, hiding in the shadows as the air grew cold. Bright red eyes regarded the scene as their owner let out a snort of amusement. A glance of gold and orange looked upon him, but at a shake of his head his two companions turned their gazes back to the moon.

All of them stared at it as they walked, the pale moon that cast a harsh, yet gentle light on it's surroundings. They were naturally comfortable at night, although the man with strange hair, a mix of platinum blonde that tapered into pale blue, seemed to regard his surroundings more carefully than the other two. A pair of orange eyes slid over to his form as they walked towards the smaller building, the rune inscribed on it's surface letting off a neon light that cast the surroundings in color.

"There are, of course, alternatives."

The voice possessed by the being with burning orange eyes was rough, yet strangely soothing. It was a voice that could enslave a mortal to the owner's will with but a whisper, and perhaps, not even that. The two who walked with him were completely unaffected, of course. The platinum blonde smiled, his hair so fine it seemed to be white.

"Perhaps. My search has not yet concluded, Count."

The being with orange eyes nodded his understanding as the passed by the bouncer, a lesser vampire. Springing up from his post, his words died in his throat as three pairs of eyes, a burning orange, gold, and a bright red looked at him. Rapidly paling and shivering, the bouncer could do little more than weakly slide down the wall, his protest turned into little more than a gaping protest. By the smell in the air, ha had soiled himself.

The being dressed in red chuckled.

"What a piss-poor performance - get it?"

The platinum blonde pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance, while the dark haired being with the orange eyes ignored him completely. He shrugged his shoulders, and took the lead as they walked into the establishment.

"Tough crowd."

Ash patted Ellen's back and said, "I didn't know either.  Just lick her throat closed and we can find someone . . ."

"I didn't think you'd be back so soon.  Last time you were here, you made it pretty fucking clear you weren't going to be back," a male voice said behind Ash.

"And bloody hell," Ash said with a sigh as she turned around to see Deacon Frost, "Bugger off Frost."

"And here I thought you and your moral fag of a mentor didn't go around turning people.  Why don't you introduce me?" Frost said with a smirk before putting a cigarette in his mouth and lightning it.

"…Fag?"

The platinum blonde seemed somewhat confused, until the red-eyed being leaned over and whispered in his ear. Nodding in understanding, the cold eyes of the blonde pierced straight into Frost's own, reducing the little vampire before him to a speck of dust. The crushing feeling of weakness before a superior power that had reduced the guard outside to a gibbering wreck was now focused solely on Frost, though in smaller magnitude.

"Here's your drink." He faced the vampire leader and acted like a drunkard. "These charming ladies are with me. Fuck off, midget."

The being dressed in red chuckled.

"Midget in the head, midget in the sack… heh."

The elegantly dressed blonde broke his gaze from Frost, dismissing him like the vampire did not exist.

"Must you be so crass, Alucard?"

As the red-eyed vampire grinned in response, revealing a mouth full of sharp teeth, the orange-eyed being with long, dark hair departed from his companions with a nod, striding to the bar next to the werewolf. Each of them could tell what the man on the stool was immediately, though they seemed to take no notice of it. Perusing the contents of the shelf behind the barmaid, the dark-haired Count pointed to a bottle containing a deep, crimson liquid.

"That one."

While not, necessarily, a command, it was spoken in such a way that it caught the attention of the barmaid, and drew the attention of every vampire in the room like a moth to a flame. Ignoring this, his orange gaze met with the barmaid with quiet intensity, ignoring the pale woman with scars lining her neck and arms.

Ash blinked as Kyle showed up.  Normally her patience for the werewolf wasn't exactly the greatest, but she was happy to see him now.  And if anything, he can give Ellen a nip or three, she thought.

She smirked at the werewolf, took the glass and said, "It took your arse long enough to get here.  Bloody hell."

Then the other two showed up to mock Frost.  The one in the red duster said, "Midget in the head, midget in the sack… heh."

Ash chuckled and said, "I'd assume so, but even then even I have standards."

"Not what I heard.  Heard you suck anyone off if they gave you enough quid, you fucking whore," Frost said with a smirk to Ash.

Red flashed in Ash's vision as she looked at Kyle and said, "That's Ellen.  She's my fledgling.  Take her and get out of here before I bring this fucking building down with me."

"Oh, so going to go a little berserk then?  Losing your temper?" Frost asked with a smirk.

"When I shut this door, the only people who could be able to open it will be my godson and myself," Forest said, "Don't worry, you're not going to eat anyone here."

"Hmpph, I do not care about your speeding" Mordred disregarded Law's advice.

Ellen, even if she was rather inexperienced, to put it mildly, sensed that Ash is not in good mood. She was inclined to agree with Ash and leave with that Kyle person just to avoid trouble.

Well, of course she would snap.

Kyle sighed with a nod. He had seen this coming from from the beginning. He patted Ellen on the back.

"Come on girl, you don't want to be caught in this, trust me." He started to walk, encouraging the girl to go out with him. "I'll give your blood fix too".

Still, he was somewhat surprised to know that she was Ash's progeny. With a look in the barmaid's direction, Kyle pointed the guy in red with a thumb. "On me," he said, placing a bill on the counter before leaving the building. He didn't want these guys to become a problem.

She followed Kyle. He seemed to be familiar to her sire, so she was somewhat trusting if somewhat wary. "Hey, you seem to know her. You are not a human either right?"

"Hey now, I'm sure her hole isn't gaping enough to let a fat fuck like you out of it. Keep your mother's business to herself."

The being dressed in read was grinning, the sight of his sharp teeth setting every member of the room on edge, though they couldn't quite tell why. The Count at the bar shook his head in exasperation, downing a chalice filled with a rich, red liquid in a smooth swallow. Setting it down on the bar, he turned a little in his seat next to the werewolf, looking over at the young woman next to the blonde-haired vampire. A new member of their race, and newly turned at that. The Count turned back to his drink, and sipped at it in thought.

The platinum blond eyed Frost with distaste, golden eyes fixing onto Frost's own.

"Truly, is this how you treat your betters? What a disgraceful thing you are."

The platinum blond's eyes were still filled with disdain, though as he glanced at Ellen, they filled with what might be called a hint of warmth. As the being cloaked in red moved nearer to the vampire woman, the Impaler looked Ellen over in a curious way, his elegant brow quirking. He was familiar with the vampiric tales that had dragged his name through the mud, yet he held no real disdain for any vampire but the caricature that had been made of himself. His companions knew this, and yet there was no animosity between the three.

Indeed, it shook her a little. Nothing serious happened, but still she was not much happy about that. She pretended it's not inconveniencing her, not turning into spirit form just to prove her point.

"I am a god, or at least the closest any mortal can get to one in my world. I had a little problem with the God of Death. It had cursed me for summoning it, so I found a way to bind it and cracked it open like an egg. Then I devoured it's essence and took my place within the Pantheon. My power as the God of Death is probably what you've been sensing this whole time."

Grigori sighed, and anyone could sense the displeasure in her voice.

"However I am diminished. I would be overestimating myself if I said I was even 1/10 of my former power. Well, I should have expected to lose a lot for jumping into a world without my domain, and losing the belief of an entire world hasn't helped."

Uchiten's mouth hung slightly open as he listened to Grigori's explanation. His hands clapped together in excitement.

"Impressive! I have had the pleasure of meeting gods before, but palty land deities are likely nothing compared to a God like you speak of." he said, mind wrapping around the details. "Of course, in the olden days there were many creatures comparable to gods around my homeland, as well as warriors capable of killing them... but that had come and gone by the time I was born."

The enthusiasm melted off his features when he paused, before he continued to address Grigori.

"Of course, if that is your nature, then it is no surprise your power has been greatly diminished. I can surmise this town has some shared features and connections to the world I know, but if it is completely different from your original plane, then it would make sense the strenght you gain from your sphere of influence is nearly null." he said, eyes unfocused while his mind concentrated on the facts.

But if that was the case, rebuilding her sphere of influence right here would restore part of her lost power, would it not? He let himself smile at that thought, but kept it to himself.

"However, Grigori, consider this: With your amount of power, you must have been... considerably bored in your world, no? But now you're here. In Nexus City. In this wonderful place filled with the mighty, ripe for entertainment. When you are strong and there are few, if any who can match you, one grows restless. I know this." he spoke, the weight of his words inflating while his smile stretched. "Your power might be limited, but do you really need more of it? I observed the better part of your fight. Your magic is great. Your superiority is real. You are one of the mighty, Grigori."

Hearing their master speak these words that sounded so very familiar, the three shikigami found themselves smiling.

"The fun you can have here and now... the fun we can have here and now, is limitless." Uchiten concluded, his visage darkening with mirth.

She's a stubborn bitch isn't she.

The Driver's grumbling was something Law could agree on. "Look, Mordred, it'd make me a lot more comfortable if you were up here instead of back there. I know you're a spirit and all, but still, just climb the fuck on up here and buckle up."

Kyle gave her a glance as they walked out. "I'm one of the cursed, a werewolf. Usually my species doesn't meddle much with leeches but, circumstances being what they are, I kind of get along with the Iron Maiden. Don't think she actually likes me much but, you could say we trust each other, I guess."

He invited d for her to come closer and offered his neck.

"You won't have to hold back this time. Taste might be less appetizing than supreme human vintage but it should be nutritious regardless. You can take more to compensate for it if you want. You should hurry up though, we might have a need to run soon." He looked around. "It's no good gathering too much attention around these parts. Even more so when you're weakened."

"But forget your manners, you are right. I didn't have a drink and you are a guy, so that won't be too awkward, I think" saying that she sinked the fangs in his neck and started draining blood. Though indeed the blood tasted kind of weird, she felt better about it since it was not offered for money but out of good will of his.

Gabriel smirked as he felt himself rise to the occasion again, La Folia rubbing hotly against him.  He bent his head towards her breast before taking the right nipple into his mouth, laving it playfully.  "Folly, that might hurt you," he said before sucking hard.

Letting out a cute mewl as he attended her sensitive nipple, La Folia responded in a voice addled with desire.

"I can handle it, Gabriel. I'm a big girl. I will take whatever you subject me to, and then some."

With a lazy yawn, Fiore woke up in her all too familiar chair. She felt the mild dull sting of a miniscule hangover, having taken a bit too much liberty in drinking with Grandfather Darnic on the plane ride to Japan. Truly, the young adult did not have nearly the same tolerance as her "Grandfather", a man roughly five times her age.

That was when she noticed her surroundings. This wasn't Darnic's plane, or even an airport. She was surrounded by nature, and the sky was black and dotted with the occasional star, most of the pearly beads blotted out by light pollution.

'w-Wait, where am I?' Looking around, Fiore found few hints of actual use. Going by the skyline, she was definitely in a modern city. But something told her this was not Fuyuki.

A stroke of panic hit her then and there.

Caules wasn't with her. She was sure he had been sleeping in the seat next to her's on the jet. But he wasn't there. Her protective instinct for Caules, what he had called her "Mother Hen" for on multiple occasions, was itching like mad. Her baby brother was potentially in danger, even though he was an adult now and one of the most competent people she knew.

Taking a deep breath, Fiore tried to calm her panicking mind. If she was here, it was a reasonable guess that Caules was here. Caules could definitely defend himself, perhaps even better than she herself could, to be fair. She'd ask around and try her very best to find him, but for the moment, she knew that she needed to calm down.

Fiore began to take note of her surroundings as she began to roll around the park. The feeling of prana and it's usage and the sensation emitted by those not entirely human was copious to the point of being choking. It seemed that this was not a city where the secret of thaumaturgy was kept hidden. While that would surely come in handy, the part of her that wanted to protect the public from Magi and their schemes was mildly annoyed at the prospect.

Building up a reasonable speed, Fiore rolled towards the northern entrance of the park, wanting to get a look around the city and learn her situation.

In her suitcase, tugged into a space behind her feet, a cellphone set to 'mute' vibrated impatiently.

Caules's face was displayed on the caller ID.

Hey, I might be a vampire now, but I'm not a leech

"Relax, it's just shorter than blood sucker."

Quote

"Well, I'm not too sure about why gender would be an isssooowwww!!!"

Interrupted by the young vampire's bite, Kyle closed his eyes. One issue, or advantage would probably say the blood suckers, about draining someone were the euphoria and arousal it placed on the victim. Regardless of sexual orientation, one couldn't be drained without experiencing it. And it applied to Kyle too. Not that he hadn't been aware of it beforehand, his interactions with vampires were too numerous to account. In fact, it had been part of his plan. Offer his blood to the fledgling so that he can have his way with the sire as compensation. As his mind was filled with lust, he sensed his body become hotter and eventually his arousal peaking literally in his boxer. For some reason, even has she took more of his essence, his body had enough left to keep him hard. The girl didn't seem ready to let go of him yet.

"...Not that bad, I take it."

Tom
Tom watched the proceedings below him with mild interest. It wasn't his concern though. Even if what appeared to be the source of the feathers from before was there as well, now small and roosting on the head of some human. One that seemed... oddly powerful and fascinating, all things considered, but from what the psychic could tell, fundamentally human nonetheless. Though he had been wrong before. No, even then it was not his concern. It was not worth investigating with so many humans around.

Even if he was quite capable of fending them off if necessary, it was a risk he didn't dare to take. Plus, he had never been fond of crowds. Or mingling. Or excessive amounts of socialization. There was no sense starting now just to satisfy some idle curiosity. His chance would come later.

Quote from: Wynn
"Are you here to somehow get Law Unto Herself's aid as well?"
Tom quickly rose to his feet, turning to face the source of the voice. The woman who stood before him was quite the sight to behold. Beauty alone, however, was not enough to sway his allegiance on its own.

"I was not even aware that this was her residence. I had my suspicions, but I was not remotely certain." His eyes did not leave her for an instant, his gaze intense even through the glasses he wore. "No, I do not need her aid. Nor do I have any business with her. I was merely observing out of idle curiosity. I had planned on departing shortly. That particular building is presently far too crowded for me to consider entry."

His eyes narrowed. "What business do you have with me? I would assume very little, if you merely wished to ascertain my lack of involvement in Law Unto Herself's affairs."

He thought he heard something, but even now he did not take his eyes off of his beautiful antagonist. Still, it was odd. He could almost sense another presence close by...

Hakuno
Hakuno mentally scolded herself as she did her best to keep out of sight. Even if she needed to find some form of shelter until she could reunite with Archer, this probably wasn't the best plan in hindsight. After all, she didn't know if they were nice enough to not kill her in cold blood. If Archer were here, he'd probably scold her. But then, what could she do? It was better than just wandering around this strange, likely dangerous city, just hoping she'd run into Archer by sheer, dumb luck.

So she stayed on the stairs, crouched down, continuing to listen to the conversation occurring above her.

Archer
Please don't do anything stupid until I reach you, Master.

Archer ran as fast as he could, his reinforced legs carrying him at a breakneck pace. He had a general idea of Hakuno's location via their layline, but... well, it was something to go off of, if nothing else. Now all he could hope for was that he could reach her in time. And that she didn't go around trusting random people that could kill her in cold blood. Though knowing her, she'd probably done something like that already. Nothing had stopped her from doing that in the past, after all.

All he could do now was hold onto a small bit of hope. For as long as their connection remained unsevered, some hope remained.
