Hakuno and Tom
Forest bowed her head in response to Hakuno and said, "You're welcome. Hopefully you can be reunited with your friend."
Hakuno couldn't help but smile. Forest's behavior was a much welcome change from what she had been subjected to earlier.
"I hope so too. Even though he's my protector, he's... w-well, he's more than that. He's pretty tough on his own, but I still hope he's okay.." She frowned slightly at allowing the last bit to slip out, but didn't comment on it.
Then she nodded at Thomas and said, "Well you've already met Wynn."
"So I have." His brow was slightly knitted in confusion, however. Why was she bringing this up now?
Wynn smirked and said, "Be sure to find the Little Mouse a proper cage, Forest."
Hakuno frowned.
She doesn't let up, does she? "I'm sorry, she's a bitch," Forest said with a sigh and a shake of her head, "And you two don't have to sleep here, I've got proper bedrooms on the floor below. Just follow me."
Feeling a bit better hearing that, Hakuno prepared to follow Forest without a word of complaint. However, Tom hesitated. He was stunned at first, but after a moment, managed to speak.
"I... appreciate the offer, but I was not seeking shelter for myself. I prefer to keep to my own affairs, and this place is perhaps a bit... crowded, for me."
It was odd, but... as much as he wanted to formulate a response beyond that, the words did not come easily.
As Forest addressed another man to offer him shelter as well, Hakuno turned towards Tom.
It's a bit noisy here, but honestly, it's better than being all alone, right? I... I am not overly fond of living where so many people are around, I will put it that way. Aside from that, why is it your concern? You certainly have no reason to concern yourself with my affairs. Let's just say I've "suddenly changed my stance."He blinked. And then sighed, rubbing his temples.
I can see it in your mind. You will not let up on me with that forsaken gaze of yours or your attempts to persuade me unless I at least try it, will you?She smiled sweetly at him.
...Fine. But let us hope your friend finds you swiftly so you concern yourself with me no longer. ...It is making my chest hurt in a rather unusual way. He turned back to Forest, the glasses wearing fellow that Forest had extended her offer to now finished speaking.
"I have reconsidered. I will stay, but for one night. I will consider whether to stay on a more permanent basis from there."
Rin and Mille
“Perhaps I should have asked this sooner, but, in your world, what exactly is your relation to me Miss Rin?”
Rin would have to be careful from this point on- she didn't know how fluid the timelines where, or what information would jeopardize her existence, or Sakura's. However... With this answer, she likely had little choice.
"In my world, sir, you were my father."
