Henry had to be impressed with interior layout of the compound, even when this isn't the first time he passed through. With Forest's introduction of her spacious home, it only served to deepen his desire to finally take up lodgings here. It had everything any person would have wanted and needed. Her compound had libraries and kitchens to a gym and an armory. The furnishing inside each floor and room would no doubt rack up an exorbitant sum. Something that suggested Forest probably saved up for many years in her immortal vampire life. He had expected the compound's insides to be simple given its industrial appearance to the naked eye. Therefore the interior strongly cemented the maxim: "Don't judge a book by it's cover".
Forest has been rather kind enough to allow him to borrow one of her many cars inside the garage, given her affections to automobiles. With said affections, it would not bode him well to return this one with the same kind of treatment Grigori applied like last time. Something the doctor would make sure to keep in mind or suffer the bulk of her wrath. Sorrow more like, given her scarlet tears in the Shopping District. Though he had no doubt she might just get pissed enough with the recent annoyances in her abode.
Henry finally found himself back in the assigned room. He enjoyed the softness of the bed as he lay on top of it. The comfort of the mattress brought much relief as he laid his head back into the padded pillow despite not wearing pajamas. It would be no surprise if he actually fell asleep again. But, he sat up and stared at the emptiness around him.
The whiteness of the shut closet.
The stillness of the hardwood desk.
The solid brick walls.
The sturdy wooden doors.
A person well-trained in Feng Shui would shudder at the arrangement. Not that Henry really cared that much. And besides, there was enough room to move the bed and desk to fit its archaic regulations. That was the last thing on his mind as he tried to imagine what personal belongings to drag over here. The images of informative charts, medical equipment, and miscellaneous items ran through his mind as he continued to re-imagine how the room would look like.
He finally stood up from the bed, his body already missing the bed's comfort. But Henry continued onward nevertheless. His feet guided him down the stairs with each quiet step to not interrupt anyone. It was then he descended the final set of stairs leading to the basement. Each step had at least a feather on its surface. His gait was of caution as the doctor remembered the werewolf. But it was quiet. Much too quiet for a rabid creature.
Yet, Henry continued his path with equal caution. With his final steps, he is now in the basement. It was bigger given the numerous cars parked inside. Their numbers heavily emphasizing her love for automobiles, he can only meet them with pure astonishment. But a song caught his attention away from his shock. It could be described as beautiful and unworldly by the average human. To Henry, it was an eerie noise that caused him to flinch. Slowly he walked over to the direction where it's originating from, only to end up seeing the minute buzzard just finishing its song... and Forest.
"Looks like it's been keeping you awake," he remarked at the innocent phantasmal being.
Hearing something... singing, outside the warded door, he leaned against it, knocking on it. "Hey, Forest? That you? Fur's all gone now, and I'm hungry like the wolf. Mind letting me out?"
Henry looked back at the direction of the sound. Thuds emanating from a sturdy door. The werewolf is gone, and only Dan is here.
"Huh, you are right. The door is sturdy," he admitted with pleasant surprise.
Then he called out towards Dan, "How's Indian for you?"
