Archer's odd praise made Forest tingle ever so slightly and she resisted the urge to smile.

Then, Karna had to be Karna.

"She-beast . . ." she muttered to herself before glaring at the Hindu demi-god.

Gabriel said, "I think your 'observation' is quite wrong."

Forest waved her hand and said, "Never mind that.  Let's get this cocker into the infirmary.  We can get him restrained and then treated.  And find out why the bloody hell he's here."

******

Lancer blinked at Rin's reaction and then the frowning bartender.  He chuckled and said, "Sorry lad, I'm with the young lady here."

He then handed Rin her drink.

Wait wha- oooooh. W-wait, how did I miss that?! Rin looked sheepishly at the bartender. "Sorry. It's been a long night."

She took the drink from Lancer. "Thanks. I'm starting to think I really need it." What she was given was a peach colored drink garnished with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.

Looks decent enough. She took a delicate sip, trying to get a sense of the flavor. What met her tastebuds was quite sweet and tangy with notes of almond and citrus. She took another sip. It wasn't Archer's tea, but she didn't object to it in the slightest. Already she was beginning to feel a bit tingly.

Temporarily placing her shot on the counter, she turned to Lancer. "So, you said you wanted to catch up. Anything in particular you wanted to ask?"

Mordred

Behemoth roared in pain as Clarent pierced its weaker part of the skin. Mordred, relentlessly driving Clarent into the Beast's body, put everything she could into the sword using her Prana Burst, without activating her stronger Noble Phantasm. The magic energy wrecked the innards of the humongous monster, killing it ultimately.

Panting from exhaustion, Mordred dropped on one of her knees, supporting herself with Clarent Dammit, no way I can defeat that jerk without surprising him. I gotta find that thickhead, I hope he did not get gored by that thing

Grigori

"Why did you hunt Noah, Morden'fula? What purpose could it possibly serve?" Grigori was curious. The creature was ancient and was more powerful then any normal creature. Why would it hunt a human being?

"I am simply saying what I observe. Your godmother has the wrath of eleven Rakshasa. I am genuinely curious as to your mental health if you have not noticed as such while living with her", spoke the Deva coldly, as he took the non-human being by the head and dragged him lazily in the direction of the infirmary.

Paladin ran after the moving Archive Hunter even as the bullets were being fired at them. Any projectile that got close was blocked by the shield or dodged. He continued to follow his friend until they ended up in an alley. They had evaded the police for now, but this place was far from secure.

"What do we do now, Hunter? We still have no idea where the wagon is, and the officers don't seem like they will stop chasing us anytime soon."
"Well," I start, looking around me. One-way road. "We lose the cops. Then, I undress until I'm inconspicuous and ask a lawman where my wagon might be."

Not the brightest plan I'd ever though of, but... actually no, just plain not the best plan I've ever though of. Though if I take off the hat, coat, jacket and chaps, I should give off a completely different vibe, at the cost of fashion.

As soon as I think this, I remember about the cops.

"Anyway, initiate part one!" I say as I started into a run. No way normal humans would be able to catch me, even fit lawmen.

I'd know, this wasn't my first rodeo.

"I take thee at thy word:
Call me but love, and I'll be new baptized;
Henceforth I never will be Romeo."

"I don't understand this at all, Master. They are of rival houses and will never be together, so why even try?", complained Assassin, leaning back into her seat.

"Well, Assassin, people do some crazy things for love", answered her master in kind in a whisper, eyes still on the scene at hand.

"Love... What even is love?", she grumbled.

"Well, I can't say I know much of it myself, but a friend of mine who got married early once described it to me. He said "Love is something you can't measure, decide or even understand. It has no value, but it's still the most wonderful thing in the world, which is why people search for all their life to find it."

"He sounds like he was quite the poet."

"He was. He was a fantastic poet and a devout man. At least until Iemitsu had his tongue torn out, his fingers slowly cut off with the strings of his own shamisen and then fed to the hounds", Shirou mused with just the smallest hint of bitterness on his voice.

"Oh." With that Assassin shut up once more and looked at the movie at hand.

'So that's what love is. How very odd.'
Shakespeare

Ah, love. What a wonderful rolling ride of emotions it was, an unbroken horse thrashing within the heart of youth desperately attempting to break free and run wild. I ate more of the popped confection, as the Queen and my own Master and protagonist conversed on the nature of love itself. She was a flower yet to bloom, despite her beauty, to the wonders of the heart. And my own works would do the honor of letting it unfurl its petals. Truly there was no greater gift for a poet than to see the fruit of his labors take root in the breast of others.

A whisper passed my lips into the ear of the fair lady - "This scene was perhaps the most delightfully done. Tears fell from the eyes of even the Virgin Queen at my performance within the Globe. Ah, then even more fell by the end. Truly I felt nothing more than pride at seeing my sovereign in joy. I am sure you would feel the same should you attempt to read my works to him."

Shiro

Shiro frowned, and rolled to the side, getting a small scratch on his leg from the stone spikes. He immediately put himself in a standing position and noticed Fate’s mumbling. But he was outside the range of his spear.

So Shiro decided to pull out another trick. Lowering the tip of the spear he let it touch the ground. Then with all his force he swung, the blade sweeping across the ground as one of the sacraments etched into the holy tool manifested.

The 4th Holy Scripture, Imitation of the Lance of Longinus, was a holy weapon of the highest caliber. It is a weapon which materializes one’s faith as an edge while also increasing in power even further against beasts of inhuman nature. In Shiro’s hand it is a blade which surpasses all others in the modern world, and even some of the weapons of legendary heroes.

But it had one more trait. Inscribed onto the spear were the near heretical sacraments of the church, those that are close to magecraft. The shear presence and nature of it as a holy weapon of the Christian faith when combined with Shiro’s abnormal faith amplified the strength of the sacraments many times over, allowing him to manifest them in ways they were not intended with simply a scratch from the spear.

And so as the blade scraped the ground the cremation sacrament was activated. And from that a massive torrent of holy fire was sent at Fate, to burn him to ashes.

Zolgen

“Noah was the one in mythology that saved the future of all living things from a great flood.” Zolgen’s voice echoed around Grigoi and the monster. “But then again I suppose the myth can differ in different worlds.”

“I am more interested in dissecting that creature than anything else.” He chuckled, “Such manipulation of flesh is impressive in its own way, especially in a monster such as that. Oh and hello Grigori, I hope you and an interesting time with that spirit last night, I was unable to locate you compleatly, only the general area you might have been staying. Rather impressive."

Amy

Amy snickered, not at all put off by Mille’s failure to rise at her teasing, “Sure sure, I will be happy to.” Taking Fiore to the bathroom she began to help her get undressed, revealing the rest of her matching underwear.

She then proceeded to assist her into the bath after help her remove her rather lacy underwear. She might tease people shamelessly and without remorse, but even a situation like this was far too much for her to joke around with.

Fate

As he predicted, Shiro had mostly avoided the spell, with the consequence of moving himself out of his spear's range. The brief window that it would take the priest to close the distance again was all Fate needed to complete his spell.

"Little king, the eight-legged lizard, owner of the evil eyes.
Let that light reside in my hand, and shoot forth the ruinous gaze
.”

But unexpectedly, the priest had resorted to a ranged combat measure. The tip of the spear sweeping across the ground, the sparks produced formed a torrent of fire, a sudden wave of incineration that he could tell was loaded with holy power roaring right at his face.

Interesting. But a poor choice.

The spell he had completed did not go off. Instead, a complex person-wide magic circle appeared just in front of Fate as the flames reached him. Intense heat and brightness filled his perception, but his person was not even singed. The powerful flames were diverted by the even more powerful defense, streaming past him. This directional magic shield was formed from a layer of his personal barrier reinforced with sustained power, something that could stop even a high power orbital laser.

The sacrament of flames was powerful indeed, even if less so than expected. But for someone like Shiro, whose true power he had judged lay almost exclusively in melee combat, trying to change strategies to something like this was a mistake against him. It was true he had obscured his vision, but he had also given him cover for a counter attack.

As one hand help up the shield, Fate's other arm rose in a winding gesture. Behind him, many black stakes began to appear, their number spreading as the fire ahead waned. Completely vanishing soonthereafter, an uncountable amount of Black Stakes spread around Fate on all sides, pointed in Shiro's direction. Dropping his shield, the mage unleashed hell.

Ring Of Black Stakes Piercing All Creation

The barrage of tightly packed projectiles, all included with a petrifying effect, flew at the priest, converging on him in a formation that would not simply let him slip by the space between them.

Shiro

As the stakes flew at him, and once again as had happen so many times in this fight his Lance moved to meet them, the flashing streaks of light severing all stakes that dare enter his range. Again and again happened, certainly Fate would have learned that such an attack is useless should his spear was out. Or was Shiro giving him too much credit? However some were able to scratch him. Nothing sever, but still enough to draw a small amount of blood.

At the end there was simply a cloud of dust where Shiro stood, clouding him from sight. But then there was a flash and Shiro was in the air above Fate, appearing there due to an upward but forward leap. But there was a difference. His spear was no longer present, as he was simply gripping the katana that hung from his back.

Then drawing his favored weapon, the Masamune sword named Yuki, it flashed downward, striking Fate’s barrier, and with that Shiro yelled, “SEAL!”

And with that the barrier that once existed around Fate vanished, filling the sword of emptiness and sealing.

He then landed past Fate, numerous scratches littering his body indicated the close calls from the last attack. He stood up, still holding Yuki in one hand with three black keys appearing in his second, “You know, launching fatal after fatal attack is good and all, but not all of us have a fancy panty barrier spell.” Shiro then smirked, “Well I guess neither of us do now. The world is funny like that, isn’t it?”

He then pointed the now glowing Katana at Fate. A confident grin on his face.

Fate

Fate's eyes widened as the sword cut through his barrier and stripped him of it. Its power was instantly sucked away in an instant, causing all its layers to collapse. It would be a few minutes before it restored itself. The attack and weapon he did not expect had removed his greatest defense in the blink of an eye. It was a small, but significant surprise that he allowed himself to be stunned by. He did not turn around to acknowledge Shiro after he had landed, nor did he pay any attention to his words.

But slowly, a deep expression of amusement filled his face.

"You should not have given me time to breathe." Fate said.

He vanished from where he stood, not a blur to announce his movement. And suddenly he was inside Shiro's guard, hand raised at the man's eye level. Petrifying light discharged, released from Fate's delayed spell straight at Shiro.

Shiro

Shiro simply as Fate's magical attack simply fizzled on contact with his body. The magic resistance granted to him by the holy shroud of Moses the Black proving ever effective. No idea why it has magic resistance though, but Shiro is not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Now with Fate in melee range the keys vanished from his hand, and he gripped his sword with both hands.

Then Shiro began swinging the blade with expert precision and focus, the blade glowing brightly with the magical energy stored within it, greatly increasing it's power and durability. His strikes showed that his skill with the katana was even greater than his skill with the lance.  It was only natural after all; Yuki was his trump card, his favored and preferred weapon, the tool that made him the 4th of the burial agency. His scripture was only obtained after joining.

It was only natural it was the weapon he was strongest with as a melee fighter.

Fiore turned beat red as Amy stripped her down in a slow, orderly fashion, eventually ending up with her entirely naked in her chair. She did not lack confidence in her own looks, having been blessed with a curvy physique despite her complete inability to do exercise, and the only person in the bathroom was a girl. One she knew both to be friendly and caring, but even then this experience was very embarrassing to Fiore.

As Amy picked her up like she was a newlywed bride and placed her in the hot water, Fiore began to speak up in the tiniest voice, embarrassment clear in her tone.

"a-Amy, could you, um, step out for a bit so I can wash up?", her cheek slightly turned away from her brunette companion out of shyness.

"Greetings, Locust King," Azmortchal'um said, taking stock of the new arrival, "It's not that the legend is different, but changed through time. It seems that the Children of Noah are taking an allegory of me as a literal meaning. It matters little now, however."

"What use would a dissection of a rapidly changing being be?" he asked, calmly, "Especially when there are no organs in this body. Just flesh that I manipulate on a whim."

“Aww, you don’t want me to take a bath with you?” Amy sighed in an exaggerated fashion as she picked up the clothing that proxy had cleaned for her. “Your so mean Fiore. I was hoping we could spend some quality time. Well, I guess there is always time to do that later.”

And with that she left to let Fiore bath in peace.
