Adjutor

Adjutor is unable to stop a wry little smile from making itself known on his face as he considers the non-human's declaration.

"In all fairness," Adjutor says, "This place pulls in all kinds. Hell, I might find my own lookalike somewhere here, maybe even an alternate universe version of me. And as for the vampire, I'm pretty sure she's not quite like the vampires from your world. Then again, my own experience with her is rather limited, but this place does take all kinds, so you never really know how vampires from different dimensions may be. Though, to be certain, the vampire you're referring to-"

It is at this point that Adjutor, having never bothered to seal his eyes after the encounter on the rooftop, notices a little something on the fae. A simple spell with a familiar signature. Looked like a tracking spell of some sort, going off what he'd seen before, nothing particularly overt and it wasn't even active. The teen figured that, judging by the power behind the spell, when active it would probably act like a simple beacon of sorts. Adjutor deigned to file that bit of information away for later.

"Regardless, I doubt that Saber is in any actual danger from her companion. Likely quite the opposite, considering that most people don't just take in random people off the street who don't have a place to stay, and most vampires don't refuse a willing donor."

Mordred

"Never trust a corpse that still walks around drinking human blood. It's just common sense. Either that Saber lacks it or is being manipulated. I don't exclude possibility that she could be a sell out too. I will give you benefit of the doubt and assume you are just ignorant of what vampires are capable of, boy." she frowned at Adjutor, as it was unbelievable people here in Nexus were so naive about the threat that vampires posed to the fabric of society and mundane people.

"Wait, I think you have a clue where that vampire is hiding. Meeting with Saber is my priority, but you know, the sun will still shine high on the sky when I finish my business. C'mon, don't be shy" Mordred pressured the boy to reveal information, with a smile on her face. Quite intimidating one, possibly.

Well, that was shorter than expected.

Walking down the stairs, Ito found himself in the main room. Glancing around, he saw the familiar face of the man who stood on the rooftop earlier. With a grimace, he approached the woman and him and proceeded to overhear their conversation.

But a sudden noise from his stomach froze the air around him, a pained wail came from his innards. No doubt such a grumbling was due to the fact he had not ate for the last few days.

Mph, can't be helped now can it?

Sneaking like a furtive shadow, the man proceeded to use one of his old tricks. "Clarence! It's been so long, you've grown up!", Ito yelled in an overjoyed tone, smiling wide as he called out to the girl, his hands open wide before he closed in for a sudden hug without giving any time to retaliate.

Sakura

Quote
"It's okay, Sakura, I know you didn't choose to leave. And I'm glad to see you're okay after all this time. But, I promised I'd be there protect you, and now we're together I intend to keep that promise."

Sakura shook her head violently and pushed herself up, looking at Shirou directly in the eyes. “No, I don’t want you running around protecting people! I just want you to be safe. Nothing else matters, ok? Please, promise me you won’t do anything reckless, ok! I can’t bear the thought of losing you again! I’ve got Rider and Caster, they can keep us safe!” Sakura pleaded with him, a hint of madness in her eyes. “Promise me, ok?” She collapsed back onto him. “Promise me...” She whispered.

Lawrence's face turned redder and redder as the teasing continued, Archer surreptitiously smirking at the banter as he finished up another batch of pancakes.

"If you don't care then why the hell are you talking about my junk! It doesn't need an exorcism, it's completely fine and normal, I think, I hope... I haven't had time to test it OK?" He just stuffed his face with pancakes instead of talk after that. There was no returning from this hole he was digging for himself. Archer's proffered plate of more pancakes was accepted with a muffled "Thanks" as the bowman took a seat at the table with everyone else, watching the proceedings.

Noel

“Jubei. Jew-bay.” She enunciated each syllable clearly for his benefit. “Jubei is strong too! He’s one of the strongest living creatures where I came from.” Noel paused and thought about something, a quizzical look flashing across her face. “I guess that applies to most of the Six Heros, huh?” She said to herself. Returning her attention to Mathew, Noel continued. “I don’t really know what exactly his powers are, but he’s a really nice guy-cat...catman? Anyway! He’s really nice; he’s laid back, and he’s a wise old man. He wears a yellowish orange cloak, and he has an eyepatch.”

Shirou (HF)

The woman I love desperately pleads with to try and stay safe, while she has the protection of Rider, and a Caster Servant. Caster must be the mage next to her, but Rider as well? I'm pretty sure Rider's back home with Tohsaka and Fuji-nee, but could this be a different Rider? There'll be time to sort that out later, right now I have to be honest with the woman I love.

"I'm sorry Sakura, but I can't make that promise. When I was younger I wanted to be a hero of justice, one able to protect everyone. I no longer carry that dream with me, I've given it up in exchange for the resolve to protect the woman I love. I'll always protect you no matter how dangerous things get. And when you go astray I'll always be there to lead you back, it's what I promised you I'd do before, and it's what I intend to do."

I tell her these words as I strengthen the resolve within myself. I gave up my dream of being a hero of justice for her, a decision I don't regret. No matter how safe Sakura is I'll always be there for her. That's the new ideal I swear to uphold.

Richard laughed at the poor man's worryful words, almost spitting his pancake in the meanwhile.

"You should see a priest, surely the power of Jesus can save you.", he humored before laughing once again. Faking sadness, he wept in an over the top fashion. Oh poor you, to lose your purity in such a way. How sad, how tragic! But worry not, they grow back eventually... right?"

Turning to the blonde vampire, he twirled his fork with a smile before speaking up. "Well, that doesn't sound too bad. Just don't forget to add a sir at the beginning.", said richard before sighing.

"I did introduce myself, oh dear. It's Richard, Richard Maxwell. Am I truly that forgettable? How sad... I am really hurt now! Really!"

Forest

The blond smirked at Law's visible squirming and said, "I didn't say I cared either way.  I was more worried about the car.  The Firebird's a good one, but any GM muscle car is a treasure."

Then she frowned and said, "Which means it might be impounded.  Bloody hell, I'll see if Saber can't pull some strings and we can get it back for you.  Or I could just bite Riggs.  He's pretty agreeable after that."

She held her hand out to Richard and said, "Hi, I'm Forest, probably the strangest vampire you'll ever meet."

Abigail

Abigail shivered at the thought of the muscle car.  If it's a classic then that means its mostly steel . . .  Which means I probably can't sit in it . . . Why am I even freaking out about it?

She frowned and said, "Maybe you should take the time to test it.  I mean, it's perfectly normal for a guy to jack off, right?"

"I mean, you practice the One Fisted Monkey Style right?" Abby said, looking first at Archer then at Richard.

Forest's eyes widened and Abby sensed a fair bit of lust from the vampire.  "That's a nice mental image . . ." Forest said as she looked at Archer and looked away.

The pale woman snuggled into the angel's chest for a moment before responding. "I'm afraid I didn't plan much for breakfast, Little Angel. We were supposed to be a little too busy to eat, but I can make do. I did acquire something that I could eat from. It's a little old but durable, and it looks heavenly."

Ann put a bit of emphasis on the word before she tapped him on the chest. "Time to get moving. If you want to do something other than sex you should make it worth my time, Little Angel."

Sarse

"You know, having to carry you is something of a bother to my idea of going out on subtle reconnaissance through the rest of the Nexus," the angel said, trying to bring out his bluntest and flattest tone. "Could I possibly ask you to amuse yourself with something other than me for the day? Most of it, at least."

Sarse's expression twisted for a moment, and his eyes avoided Ann before darting back.

"Though if possible don't make.... too much trouble."

Adjutor frowns at the Fae's statement, and further at her question.

"First of all, I've hunted a vampire before, and that Monster was far more terrifying than what I've seen of my hostess. Second, she's offering me a place to stay, when I had none. Asking me to betray her is a bit much, don't you think?"

Then that ninja from earlier came out of nowhere to embrace Mordred, prompting the teen to take a few steps back, lest he fall victim to a variation on what was likely the oldest pickpocketing technique in the book.

Sakura

“NO!” Sakura exclaimed, her visage filled with a primal, desperate terror. “No, you can’t do that! You don’t understand... You don’t need to protect me, I’m strong now! I’ve got the strength to keep us safe; Caster and Rider have the strength!" Sakura sat up on Shirou's lower abdomen; his growing erection failed to register in her conscious mind, the stress of the thought of losing him once more dominating her psyche. "I don’t want  to lose you; I don't want you being reckless and potentially getting yourself killed! This is the Nexus!” After blinking away further tears, she continued. “If you go around fighting vampires and werewolves, you’ll get yourself killed! There no question of it! That’s why I need you to promise me you won’t do something foolish!” Sakura begged him with a pained expression. ”I don’t want to lose you again!" She grabbed his hands and squeezed hard, ignoring the pain it caused her.

Suddenly, all the fear and desperation almost instantly left her, instead replaced with steady resolve.  Her iron grip loosened, the tension left her body. Reaching towards his face and caressing it softly with her right hand, she began anew, her attitude completely transformed from before. "I won't lose you again." She said in a calm and collected tone. "I'm not going to let it happen.  Senpai, I will protect you. Don't worry. You're safe now. We're safe now." A faint hint of darkness flashed across her face, "And I won't let anything take you away..."

Finally noticing his hardened member, she let loose a small gasp, the negativity disappearing as fast as it had come. "Oh! Senpai, let's go back home." Sakura stood up and tried to pull him up from the cold ground. "We can greet each other more... intimately... there."

Rider silently watched the reunion between the two lovers, a smile on her face, happy that she seemed to have found not only a version of Shirou, but her version of Shirou.

However, when she heard the final exchange between Shirou and Sakura, she became somewhat concerned. Having lived with the two of them for 30 years, she knew both of them and their relationship well, and she understood the source of tension between them. Shirou was and always had been entirely lacking in any sense of self-worth. He wanted to protect Sakura, but his lack of self-worth meant that he could not understand that putting himself in danger would cause her to suffer emotional anguish. At the same time, though, the Sakura she knew had been considerably more accepting of Shirou's general desire to protect people, so she found this Sakura's possessiveness and insistence on him not trying to protect her rather surprising. Her Sakura would never have tried to control Shirou in that manner. Of course, being in the Nexus for heaven-knows-how-long without Shirou had certainly not helped matters but, even so, this Sakura seemed somewhat more unstable and selfish than the one she knew.

Rider knew that she needed to help them understand each other better. Shirou would never give up his desire to protect, and Sakura could never recover if he were to get himself killed, which was a real danger in this world. As Sakura attempted to pull Shirou up, she walked towards them, smiling.

"Shirou, I know you want to protect Sakura, and I understand that. But, your well-being is more important to Sakura than anything else. If you come to any harm, she may never recover. There may be times when you need to fight, but you must always make your survival a top priority. Not for your own good, I know you are too selfless for that, but for Sakura's", she said as she came close to them, still clearly smiling.

"Now, Sakura, how should we get back to your house? Vanguard got side-tracked, unfortunately, he will return to the manor when he is ready."

The half-elf blinked a bit owlishly. He had been under the impression that Sarse and Ann were on equal terms in their relationship, but now that he actually thought about it that was probably very incorrect. Ann seemed motivated by whim and fancy, while Sarse was rather concerned with order. He had heard whispers of there being secret romantic meetings between Selesnya and Golgari elite, but the interaction here was confusing.

Instead of voicing those thoughts, he made an offer. "If you're going on reconnaissance, I would not mind aiding you in that endeavor, Sarse."

Shirou (HF)

Sakura tells me how she feels about me trying to protect her, letting me know she couldn't bear to lose me. Sakura, ... it must have been hard for you lost in this strange world, desperately trying to find me. Even so, now that I'm here I can't just changed how I've lived up until now. I swore I'd protect Sakura, that means I'll do so, even if it puts me in danger.

"I understand how you feel, Sakura. But, ... it's a sempai's job to look out for his kouhai. Even now, that hasn't changed. I swore to be there for you when you needed me, if that means I have to risk my life than, I won't hesitate to do so."

As I say these words, I once again notice the beautiful girl I feel in love with. I was searching for her for the past few years as well, to finally be reunited with her, I can't help but be excited at our reunion. That ... and I feel my body in deperate need of some prana to continue to maintain it's form. It's then she tells me that we should return home.

"Of course Sakura, you've been away long enough. ... So, how exactly do we go back home from this place? I assume, if you knew you would have been home by now?"

Just then at this moment an old friend appears. Rider? She tells me, how much I mean to Sakura, and how she'll never forgive herself if something happens to me.

"Rider! But, how?! I could have sworn you were back at home with Tohsaka looking for Sakura. Or? Perhaps you're a version of Rider summoned in this strange world? Anyway, it's good to see you again, is this the first time we've met? Anyway, I'm aware how much I mean to Sakura, but ... she should also realize how much she means to me. As such, there is no way I can simply not put myself in harms way to try to save her. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I could't protect her."

Even I have something I must protect.

Mordred

She did not take the hug well, to put it mildly. "Get hands off me, you creep!" she roared out, kneeing the man in reaction. Maybe she put too much strength into that hit, but she was livid at the moment and clearly did not care about what could happen to the guy.
