Ezekiel
The survivors had left the grounds for the time being, leaving the man resting by himself on the molten spire, perched without a care as he slumbered. The dark beasts littered the grounds and crept through the skies and the ground, but ultimately only stood there as if awaiting something. Just what went inside his resting mind? Could a monster dream the sames dreams as a man?
Birds of darkness scoured through the entire city, fading through the shadows and creeping through the halls, walls and streets, watching inside the homes, over the districts and under the earth. It was as if every shadow opened its eyes as soon as he closed them, though that was naught but a gross overestimation. It was only when the countless birds returned and perched on his body, peacefully chirping and snuggling, that the dark man opened his hollow eyes. Just as he slept, he awoke with the same placid smile.
"Interesting."
When that man awakens, the nightmare begins anew.
Ezekiel flew high above with his four wings of darkness, using the night itself to enable his flight, followed by his many black birds. Eventually, the dark comet arrived at its destination, and marveled at the destruction with a nearly childlike expression. Like a fallen angel, he roamed around the scene.
The lack of response made his smile grow bigger, more dangerous. Whatever caused this destruction left no one left to tell the tale. It was annoying, but he might have to ask directly. He landed on the barren earth and his familiars followed suit, dozens upon dozens reaching the earth along with their master before dissolving and melding with his own shadow. He put his hands by his mouth and called out whoever was there with a friendly grin.
"Helloooo! Anyone heeere?"
