Throne
He paused for a moment, the silence stretching out for nearly a minute as the knight remained motionless. "The beginning then. Yes, I suppose I have left a few key points out of this story. It starts with a girl then..." For another moment he trailed off as if lost in thought, and the forest remained unnaturally silent. Even for Azad there was not so much as a breath, not even the slightest stirring of motion for miles.
"Imagine someone so utterly reckless they would tear out their own eye in an instant for knowledge, so ruthless that they would strike down their own mentor for power without hesitation. Ambitious enough to consider herself divine and capable enough to achieve that godhood, that is who Othinus is. She raised us, Ullr and others, to her court and gave us power. She freed us from the circumstances that destiny had bound us with; she led us to greatness." The reverence in his tone was clear. It was as if a flood of memories had been let loose from the knight as he sat upon the ground, a softness to his voice amidst the nostalgia.
"She is completely insane." A sudden tiredness seemed to overcome him at those words. "We have been hiding from her for years before we were brought to this place, and Ullr is preventing her from peering into our past... and our future. The forest has expanded to create false leads and further obscure us, but its farthest reaches have grown beyond reasonable control. The spider, as are many other things, is her own creature."
