Lighthart Swordhaven

Hrm, not bad for an amateur. At least she wasn't completely unskilled at wasting her time, and her vassal did seem to enjoy herself. While she was tempted to send her off to the children's circus to show her parlor tricks to someone a little closer to her league, she simply smiled. How could she find it in her heart to chase away a clown little Hannah was enjoying so much?

"Don't tell me hiding is all you can do? Surely you have something with a little more flash." She taunted her nonchalantly, folding her arms behind her head aloofly. Alright, maybe she was a little curious herself. Just a little.

Eleanor

"I am no peddler of cheap tricks, but perhaps something more interesting is needed." Her foot tapped the ground and it shattered, pulverized as if some great force had smashed against it. It turned to gold, shifted into diamonds. The song of Forge in her subtlest movement formed them then into the finest jewelry, frightening weapons, and with another stomp they reformed into the solid ground.  "Oh, and if you care for something more mystically inclined Hannah is shielded by three barriers which are little more than air to me."

Hannah

Was that a Lord of the Rings reference...? That was about as far as Hannah's thoughts got before the shattering and the transmutation and the casual method of spellweaving caught up with her. She felt a craving for new power encroaching over her heart, and the need to avoid being shown up. "Just because the magic wouldn't hold on its own doesn't mean I'm not safe. But if you prefer a more direct demonstration..."

The sorceress pushed her glasses up with one finger and invoked in Sumerian, "Hold, this shield."

Reinforcing her existing barriers to such levels that the air around her subtly wavered as if light wished to bend. The slight scent of sulfur arose. It would not fall to that trick.

Lighthart

The paladin whistled and laid back, crossing her arms with the milkshake and cheeseburger/fries combo safely resting in her arms. Compared to this show of flash, she didn't seem to be interested in directly interfering. And why would she? Compared to this wondrous display, her presence alone was all that was needed.

"This should provide a modicum entertainment. Very well Hannah, since you had the gall to name yourself my master, how about you show me if you can bite as well as you can bark?" She smiled wryly, curious to see where this would lead. Which would falter first, the spear or the shield?

She crunched on a crispy fry, most amused by this turn of development.

Eleanor

Her eyes narrowed a bit, the power of the Knock reverberating. It was an art of openings, of breaking down doors, one of the essential Lores of the Mansus. In this case it was less of a key and more like a metaphorical sledgehammer smashing against the barriers. The attack was fierce and relentless, like a thousand nameless crawling things had smashed up against them at once just probing for the slightest weakness. "Sumerian? You must have learned from a native speaker to be so fluent in it."

Hannah

Lighthart's arrogance made Hannah frown in frustration for a moment, but she just fed that back into her spell. It was good that she could do this - magic specialized in destroying barriers in particular was not something this cambion had any experience with. It was downright incredible, and yet here she was pushing out the demonic power coursing through her veins to reinforce the construct.

It crackled and flickered and filled the air with the scent of ozone. Most importantly, it held. "My father taught me many languages. My mother, more still. And what about you? Can you feel my heat?"

As if to punish Eleanor for her testing the young sorceress called up a terrible feverish feeling to overtake and distract her.

Hm? What was this? Had she overdosed on the powder? She was so sure she had only taken the recommended amount and-- oh! Oh yes, this was merely magic. How to deal with it... She could squish her head. Her body was more than capable of carrying through with this magic and performing a restoration ritual. But that would get her clothes and coat dirty. No good. That would be no good at all. So instead she just grinned and withstood it.

"Such an interesting trick, you should show me more sometime." Her voice was smokey and sweet, drops of honey upon the tongue and incense filling the air. It was every person you had loved and lusted for at once, a sweet symphony full of barbs. Barbs, for it was unmistakably a weapon. Hooks and claws that snagged and choked thought. A deep red drink that drowned thought. And the Lore of openings continued incessantly, even as she spoke the Grail.

Hannah

If Hannah were anyone else from her world, if her upbringing hadn't been what it was, then this would have been her fall. If nothing else then fighting off the tendrils of desire should have distracted her enough for the shield-breaker spell to overcome her will. Indeed, it would not be the first time that wickedness and lust had been this cambion's reason for failure.

But, and this was important, it was other people's desires that consumed Hannah's attention. It was the wickedness of others that she lusted for, not her own filthy needs. If the person facing her was projecting her own lust then it might just have broken her. But no. She would have to thank her father for this at some point.

It still left her face flushed red with want, mind you. "Y-Yes, I suppose I should. Now seems good. Get thee behind me."

Aramaic, an invocation of dismissal. Her bright blue eyes flickered with light as the banishing heat intensified in Eleanor.

Ananta

She pouted for a moment, her passions stifled by the completely reasonable suggestion given by the psychic girl. "Well-- alright. I'm sorry. Sometimes I get a little heated in a fight! We can try attacking it from here if you want." Her whole body got swallowed up by that heat haze before a gout of fire blazed from Ananta's mouth, splashing against the wall.

Sakura Matou

"Wormy! Fire Blast!" Sakura commanded, pointing her finger at the devilish door. Upon her command, or perhaps even slightly before it, Wormy did as she was told, and released a blazing hot blast of concentrated death hurtling towards the door. Upon contact it exploded with enough force and energy to melt reinforced steel.

Lighthart

The paladin's eyes shimmered in gold, seemingly paying more heed to a speck of light  she toyed with in her one hand, turning and twisting over her palm right in front of the clashing girls.

She had already finished all 5 cheeseburgers and the large fries, Hannah's share as well.

But she saw it all, from the ants crawling on the aegis's struggle to the tendrils of desire. She could even see the words, seeping through the air with power and ancient mystery, more akin the ancient languages of legend than the brutish, common tongue of man. Had it been anywhere else, she might even have considered these words exquisite, the syllables as sweet as a melody. There was no doubt that both magicians had merit, their skill surely earned through many trials and tribulations.

Lighthart restrained a yawn, and let the ball of light dance through her fingers some more.

Jalut the True

The demon's eyes throbbed with glee and he lowered his body unnaturally, stretching his neck they could see eye to eye. One could almost smell the putrid stench of death wheezing from the hollow armor.

"As you wish, miss queen of the Underworld~"

"Mom. what is that?" A child noticed a red dot in the sky, looking out the window from his bedside. His mother hushered him in and covered hi with a warm blanket, looking out as well with a smile.

"It must be a plane sweetie."

From miles away, some could see the scarlet streak soaring the skies, but only the birds could tell that there was another person soaring as well, piggybacking onto the massive armor over its large neck, and most graciously tied up to it with rope. Where did he find that rope? Ahhh...

It was a long story.

"HAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH!! Enjoying the ride, princess!?"

Ugh. Now she felt disgusting. This was getting worse than her actual overdoses. So she raised up her hands, pressed them against the side of her head, and squished. Her head was crushed like an overripe melon, not that this did anything to reduce the potency of her sorcery. Even as her torn neck gushed out blood unendingly and her body twitched at the loss of her brain her magics crashed down against the barrier.

Hannah

What.

That actually made the sorceress falter for a moment, but fortunately she had two more layers of barrier to reinforce when the first one fell apart. It was understandable - who just destroys their own head?! Well, apparently Eleanor. Who didn't seem hindered by it at all. "Are you sane?" She asked, sounding a little distant as she worked to regain her composure.

Ugh, the smell...

"Go on..." Eru replied simply with a totally not fake beaming smile.

Archer

This is going to end badly, and I'm in the center of two very powerful women who are at odds at each other right now and . . .

Archer felt his thoughts go off track as Amanda seemed to suddenly become even more attractive.  I wonder what those thighs of hers feel like and . . .  He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts of pulling off those black hose and running his hands over her firm, shapely legs and thighs.

"Maybe my shop isn't the best place to hold this conversation," he said before he looked to the side, his cheeks faintly pink.
