Valerie

"I will drop that subject if that is what you desire.... for now." Valerie then led him out of the castle a different way than they had come in. Somehow it seemed shorter than the way there, but that couldn't be right? Before long the two of them were back in her orchard, the bats were nowhere to be seen at this time, perhaps they were all out and about.

"Where would you desire to go first my dear guest?" She looked over her shoulder to the monk as she asked him, awaiting an answer before continuing her tour.

Lily

"Took you long enough to ask, although the ruse you pulled back there was decent so I won't fail you just yet." Lily nodded to herself as she kept on walking to create some distance between them and the store they'd just been in. "My name is Lily, remember that and take it to heart, for I will not share it again. Names are special and hold power, don't ever forget that."

She glanced around at the mass of people with no identity around them. "The moment you know their name, they start being someone, instead of just one among many."

Suerte

"Lily..." she repeated out loud, savoring the way the letters synergized into something meaningful.  "Thats a really pretty name for such a snappy red head of fire like you."

Suerte's gaze followed Lily's taking in the vast crowd filling the city streets.  She still couldn't comprehend it, the city life.  So many people living in one spot wouldn't have an identity, not when their life is as inconsequential as the last.  Well, that wasn't true.  When she considered Lily's words, she realized that everyone had a name, but that with this vast sea of people gained a sort of pseudo anonymity.  As far as she was concerned, each one of these men and women were no one.

"My name is Suerte," she said with a smile before placing one finger on her chin.  "And well, I don't think you have to worry about being so vulnerable.  After all, i'd say the moment you started being a stranger is the moment you showed me something unique about yourself.  Its weird, somehow you feel.... old."

Thea

It was a symptom of the chaos that engulfed the daily lives of the people here. It displeased Thea to see poverty and discord like this because it meant that whatever system was in place was corrupt. It was a corruption she had rooted out of her own empire with an efficiency that only telepathic interrogation could provide for. And yet...

She had lived in worse circumstances, too, and so while she wasn't smiling in pleasure at the sight she did not openly scorn it either. "Do not apologize for making do with what you have available. Or for your generosity."

The empress would make sure to reward Tsumiko for this later. Perhaps with an upgrade?

Tsumiko

Tsumiko smiled. "Thank you for being so understanding." She held open the door for Thea after unlocking it with her magic. Inside, the building actually looked a great deal nicer. It was perfectly clean and everything was organized. The girl had clearly given it her all to make this place as cozy as possible.

Thea

Oh, the inside was much better! She said as much too while adding that, "You must be an expert at keeping a home to have things this nice." And she meant it, smiling as she took in how orderly everything was now. This was a place she could appreciate. It was... better than opulence and gilding. There was a quality made from effort rather than gold. "Thank you for showing me this.

It had been too long.

Tsumiko

"Feel free to make yourself at home, I'll start preparing dinner!" The purple haired girl sounded excited to have someone over. So excited that when she moved to sprint to the kitchen she nearly tripped over her shoes. "Excuse me." She said with a blush as she left the room.

Thea

She held in a laugh at the girl's clumsiness. It was nice to see someone so energetic. It had been a long time since the general public was anything but lethargic to Thea. Years of slow, gradual siphoning had made the average lifespan shorter than the quality of life should have allowed for. Only the young and growing had been spared, and so they were brief and bright like supernovas to her.

It was one of the few sights that tested her resolve, and so she limited her exposure to children. But this... Tsumiko reminded her of one in a way there. Just a little.

The empress started looking around to see the rest, careful not to open any closed doors of course.

Archer

"You can say I have an affinity for swords yes," Archer said as he watched the young magus while canting his head as she continued to talk.

She offered something really improper and he felt his cheeks heat up again.  "You and your suggestions.  You just ate and you want me to cook for you and then you make lewd suggestions," he said to her with a snort and a shake of his head.

Then he answered, "I'm not upset about the condoms.  Pride about that sort of thing is only really good for stupid dogs."

A fireball shot out at the cowgirl for that 'old' comment. That was really rude, learn some manners, was what her glare told Suerte. "By our standards I'm pretty young thank you, but I guess 400 is old for you humans." She must be pretty young probably in her 20's going by human standards, she assumed the cowgirl was human.

"Can I have my tench coat back?"

400 years?

Suerte suddenly burst out with laughter, falling forward and dodging the flame in an almost cartoonish fashion.  "Pretty old?  Your older than my great grandma and I don't even know where that old bitch is buried!"

As her laughter subsided, she took off the jacket, briefly flashing the girl with her naked breasts before covering them with a top identical to the one she was wearing when she fought Zeke.  "I like you though," she said, rubbing the tears from her eyes.  "Tell me.  Is bounty hunting viable in this city?  Honestly, i'm new here."

Lighthart

"Opium? How typical. I expected something a little less common." She remarked with a raised eyebrow. In an instant, she performed an amazing somersault with incredibly high speed and landed right behind Eleanor. Even in this magicless form, she was still faster than any person, and she used the surprise to snatch the dank drugs from Eleanor. "Whoopsie~!" She unexpectedly and shamelessly took back what was by all means rightfully hers.

For she had a great idea, a most scandalous and amazing proposition.

"We should clearly share. I don't mind." She said simply, like it truly was up to her.

Lily

The fire elemental snatached away the trench coat fast as lightning, folded it together like a a whip and struck at Suerte with it. "Stop calling me old, you monkey babe!"

She went at it a good three times before unfolding it and putting it on in one smooth move. "Bounty hunting? Sure you just gotta join the Elites." She continued on like nothing had happened. "They're some real boring sticklers for fules and regulations though and I have a feeling that ain't your thing."

Suerte

"Ah!  Ow!  Ok! Ok!" She yelped.  Her gazed drifted down toward the smaller girl, her mouth forming a little pout.  One hand began soothing her stomach which she struck.

She too continued on like normal, groaning in frustration.  Though it was a bit hard to tell if it was from being struck or being told about the elites.  Placing a hand on her hip, she began tapping her foot impatiently.  "Yeah, that doesn't sound fun at all," she said, scanning Lily for reactions.  She really wanted her to be wrong.  "Back in my world, I could just round up some criminal and ship them to the cops.  They would pay me on the spot with hard cash.  Can't I just do that?'

"Oh hell no, that's some straight up vigilante dealings. Some of the chiefs aorund here crack down on that harder than actual crime.... Don't you just love corruption?" She added at the end, completely dripping with irony. Her hands making over the top gestures to go along with her rising annoyance at the topic being discussed.

"If you just wanna round up some bad guys and send them off to jail, then you should aim for the Chief spot, or you can be a rebel like me! Hahaha." A wall of fire burst up behind Lily.

Police chief?  The immediate thought was that it sounded like a lot of responsibility, way too much responsibility.  Then again, these police chiefs were clearly different from the sheriffs back home.  At the very least, these guys sounded like problems.

"Rebel huh?" she parroted.  The fire behind Lily seemed to almost light up her pupil, making it look like there was fire in her eyes.  "What have you been doing as a rebel?"
