"The sense of humor is part of my arsenal," Forest looked up at the sky as well. 

Logically, she knew that the stars were billions of light years away, but she liked Taro's thought about the stars representing wishes.  "So is the anger.  It helps me from giving into the sadness and kept me from breaking.  Which made others think trying to break me was fun.  Except I didn't break.  There were times where I wanted to, but I didn't.  Sometimes I wonder if it was stubbornness."

She continued to stroke Taro's fine, silver hair as she looked up the sky.  "I guess I became the hero that I wanted to save me when I needed saving.  I saved myself and then started saving others so they wouldn't go through what that Roman Bastard put me through."

Her red eyes stared into Alice's own. "I was a noble, of sorts. I'm an adopted daughter of an extremely wealthy and prestigious family of mages. She raised her eyebrow, hoping her guess would prove accurate.

Everything is so damn cryptic!

Thats what he thought as he stared slack jawed at the breasts emerging from the shirt.  The jacket like shirt accessorized the modest breasts far better than any bra.  Thats when the thought ripped through the train of thought he was having.  Oh... she wasn't wearing a bra.

"By that logic, wouldn't I be a dotty old bat?"

Forest chuckled as Taro nuzzled her chest, seemingly happy to be bent over to do so.  "And yes, you could say that Roman Bastard messed me up right good.  Defending the helpless gave me the means to better defend myself, to make sure that wouldn't happen again."

A frown marred her pretty face as she said, "And sometimes the monsters I fight wear that Roman Bastard's face, even when I'm not aware of it."

"Maybe but there is nothing wrong with being old.  Unlike humans who grow weaker with age, vampires grow stronger and smarter with age."

A single breath escaped the elder vampire's lips, heating up her chest.  He then at last retracted, staring into her eyes.  "And does it still haunt you?"

Forest

"We also grow more arrogant with age too," Forest said, biting her lip at Taro's breath on her chest before he looked up into her eyes.

She stared into that crimson gaze and bit her lip.  She nodded, "Aye, it does."

Taro smiled at her retort.  "Its funny.  You can be hundreds of years old, but you'll still remember the time the pain from a past event.  All it takes is a single time and you remember that for the rest of your life.  I suppose the best you can hope for is for that memory to become malignant."

"You mentioned before that you wanted to become a hero to save the little girls just like you, but are you ok with putting that aside and living a life of admirable domestic selfishness?  Its certainly a romantic idea, but no one will benefit from you living a family life other than you."

"Just it really hasn't yet.  Trauma's a weird thing, and everyone carries theirs differently."

She looked back up at the sky and sighed.  "Well, after all this time, it may be time for me to do something for myself for once."

Taro nodded.  "Well if you want to settle with me, I won't say no.  If a domestic life with me will make you happy and your sure you can leave all that behind, I will indulge whatever lifestyle will make you the most happy."

Taro sighed.  "I want to keep dancing with you as long as we can."

"Well, it's something I want to give some thought too obviously," Forest said as she met his crimson eyes.

Then she smiled.  "What if I step on your toes?  Or decide that I want to lead?"

"Of course.  As for stepping on my toes, I don't mind a little pain or losing control, so long as the dancing is good."

Taro sighed, his gaze lowering into a smoldering stare.  There was a soft blink then a frown.  "Well then I suppose it would be in terrible taste to force more on you.  We should go back to work.  We can have our fun there."

The silver haired vampire began slowly peeling off his shirt, revealing his chiseled frame.  Every muscle on his upper body tensed, his pecks flattening as he raised his arms over his head.  His abs tensed inwards before he wrapped it around his wrists.  "You should take me back as your prisoner!"

Forest raised her eyebrow as she enjoyed the sight of Taro removing his shirt and then bound it over his wrists.

She laughed and shook her head.  "The guards' reactions would be pretty priceless if I brought you back like this.  They already thing we have some kinky sex thing going on."
