Urthemiel

Urthemiel was encouraged by the thanks and the red hue of Mordred's face. The hand touching the Changeling's cheek lazily moved down, fingers tracing their way over the chest of the other woman before the hand wrapped around the blonde's waist along with the other. There was practically no space between them as the mage's had tilted the slightest bit and gently nibbled on Mordred's ear.

"You are adorable, Mordred. There is power and pride in you as it is with all who have the blood of dragons but still you are too much. Put on the suit and we can leave. Then we'll go to find an open space large enough to see if I can help your transformation. Then we can try out any other kind of experiment."

Yo, you were at the sea before. Right?"
"Ah, yes! Before appearing here, I was deployed at the alfonsios. Uh, the alfonosos? The alfonsinoes! Yes, the alfonsinoes! We were on a mission to collect saury to bolster our ration supplies." She helpfully submitted, only breaking her stare to hold her chin in confusion as to the spelling of a certain word. "Why do you ask? Have you been to sea often, mister Kenzo?"

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo looked utterly dumbfounded at the girl's words. Never before he heard of a alphonso. Like, seriously, what the hell was that? Why was everyone so weird? Hopefully he wasn't the weird one. He was kinda happy to have met someone like him, so he didn't want to mess things up. Asking too much could be rude! Alphonse was probably her boyfriend or something, it would be rude to butt in on her love life.

"Alphonsos? Uhhhh, okay..." He muttered before slaughtering yet another row of meat. If those were actual humans, one would fail to see a difference. Then, he began to talk in an absent, not very mindful tone. As if he didn't care about the situation more than cooking.

"You know, last thing I remember I was sleeping under a peach tree. I don't think I'm dreaming, even I couldn't dream of a cute girl like you. Nor are you dreaming, probably. I don't think I'd make a very good dreaming material. Think someone took us and brought us here?"

The woman's intentions were pretty clear to Mordred by now. She probably tried to seduce her, and her lure was hard to resist. She nodded in silent agreement, putting on the suit.  Bellitanus remark about experiments sounded slightly ominous, but against better judgment Mordred was willing to take risk.

Frankly, she needed power. She not only wanted to join Elites because of her issues with money. Deep in her heart, she wanted to become a force of justice in this rotten world. This city was clearly rife with villains and scum (especially bloodsuckers), but events of last few days showed she clearly lacked power to fulfill her ambitions. Yes, her heart and actions would become all those of [ justice ]. She just needed to become stronger than she was already.

Forest

Forest didn't jump into the springs with the same enthusiasm as the young lady, but slowly walked into the springs.  Warmth filled her body and she sighed as it felt as if her bones had become liquid.  She sank into the mineral scented liquid warmth and felt it caress her.

"Lord and Lady," she sighed as she curled her toes and flung out her arms.  "If I knew this was here, I'd  . . . probably still wouldn't have visited it."

Rikuyo

"What's the matter, you don't fancy this place? It's fun~" Rikuyo didn't really understand why the ghost girl didn't enjoy the bath as visibly as she did. This springs was brimming with energy that she maybe could even afford wasting her energy on transforming. "Oi, do you have any favorite animal? C'mon, tell me."

"Alphon-SI-NOES! And I'm not a girl, I'm a lady!" She said, puffing up her cheeks and crossing her arms. "Though... I don't think this is a dream either. I'm all wet, and dreams don't make a lady feel wet! But, I don't know who'd bring me here either...?"

She made a difficult look on her face as she entered deep thought.

RAGNA=THE=BLOODEDGE

"Rag-?"

Noel cried out in surprise at his presence, but-

The world changed.

Noel, the girl she was with, Rachel, everything ceased to exist as the world around him shifted, no longer taking the shape of a city. Instead, there was something far closer to its natural state, its true concept as the city that desperately reached out for people to come in, to live within it.

Ruins.

Ragna tried to speak, to which the world responded with a massive shriek, a devastating howl that threatened to rip apart his entire being. He feared it, until he realized that the sound was his attempt to speak.

The ruins shifted at the call, and he noticed something among them: A big, long body of black, and deep blood-red. Teeth protruded from any big of its body that even resembled a mouth. Darkness emanated off of it, stealing the very light away from a city that had all else stolen.

The sight of it calmed him, somehow. It was familiar.

A thought occured to him. He looked up, towards the suns, the suns that should have prevented this, prevented the being that was over the city from existing. Before him, there was a faded grey ball, devoid of light, with a massive sword pierced through it. He recognized the blade. He recognized it, but couldn't remember.

In the distance, the other suns also shared this faded grey hue, like ashes, stone turned to fine dust.

How strange. It was all so strange and alien, and yet... numbing.

Didn't he have to do something to those suns?

He he, what did we do to everything else?

Right, that's right, he should destroy them.

At the thought, the being resting in the ruins rose up. A giant, amorphous and yet defined mass of teeth and darkness, fueled by rage and hate, and the ceaseless decay of the boundary itself, the azure. Its maw raced up towards the impaled sun, and in the distance, hundreds of similar jaws attached to serpent-shaped monstrosities of shadow did the same.

The effect was instantaneous. Like a statue reduced to dust in an instant, they were completely swept away by the chaos, ground into a dust.

Oh wow, so that's what its like if we cooperate with the godslayer. He he, I never destroyed something across worlds before.

Ragna couldn't help but smile. The destruction he'd just caused, from worlds away, it was...

Soothing.

Oh, Ragna! I'm so glad! You finally understand how wonderful it is, being one!

Being... one?

Ragna's mind, numb for a hundred years, started to slowly awaken.

Who did he become one with? Who could Ragna become with?

Ragna...?

How did he destroy those things in the sky? How...

He looked down, at his body. Below him was not Ragna the Bloodedge.

It was the Black Beast who'd just devoured the suns.

For a moment, Ragna thought he should feel surprise. Instead, it dawned on him. Yes, this was something he'd chosen. To destroy everything, and yet... the suns weren't there before. How did he destroy them? Where were they?

Do you really have to question it, silly?

Yes, he did. He was curious. Maybe, they're be more to break where they came from.

Oh, I love it when you talk like that. Hmmm, It seems the world itself sent them to us.

The world? Why would the world send things over?

It wanted to protect itself, silly. So, it made this world, for us to destroy everything, while in that world, they just send things to be destroyed!

Oh, Ragna though. He knew the term for that. He knew it, yet, his mind was dulling again. He was tired, so tired.

It's all right, sleepy-head. I'll let you wake up next time we have some fun.

So, Ragna closed his eyes again.

And the world changed.

"-na?" Noel finished, but the look on her face immediately changed.

The suns were gone.

And Ragna screamed, until his consciousness left him.

Deep in the underground of the nexus, a new arrival made its way clandestinely.

Lit by the glow of something alike to lava yet not, was something alike to an alter, or a forge, or a coffin. It hummed with power and purpose, yet had none yet. None, but completion.

But completion hasn't come to pass yet. It wasn't time yet, but soon. Soon, the gate would be open.

Soon, there would awaken the trigger to extinguishing the world, and with that power, that destruction, the world would save itself.

Soon, the chaos would awaken.

Urthemiel

The Old God smiled and took Mordred by the arm before leading her out of the store. While normally the employees would have attempted to stop the pair casually leaving with the clothes an occasional glyph of paralysis left them frozen in their tracks. As they left Urthemiel mentally noted with a degree of actual happiness that the horrid suns had vanished and there was a degree of more amiability in her features now.

It took a little while but they eventually arrive in a clearing a bit farther away from the more industrious parts of the city. The area sat on the border between the forest and the more urban area. Here she left Mordred and took a few steps forward on her own. She placed a cup on the ground and a spike of ice burst from the ground to let her cut her palm. Then she transformed.

Gleaming and mighty stood Urthemiel the Dragon of Beauty. Her scales were glory incarnate. Perfection unrivaled in all the world except for the wound on its hand. Regardless, she was beautiful, and as the blood dripped into the cup she was still unrivaled.

Once it had nearly filled the Old God shifted back and held out her hand towards the cup. The magic of blood was indeed potent and she would draw out the draconic power from her blood. From life it would transform into a font of power. Something that was not quite consumed but infused. It was one of the few things that Urthemiel believed would help accelerate the Changeling’s process.

“Drink, Mordred. There is power in this. Strength derived from the essence of a dragon. If anything will accelerate your transformation it is this.”

Forest blinked as she settled more into the water and said, "I do like this place.  It's bloody wicked, but if Kenzo hadn't carried me here, I wouldn't have came on my own."

Then she grinned and said, "I like crows.  Big crows with glossy black wings that you can see strikes of emerald when the light hits them right.  You know they're super smart right?  They can remember faces and even hold a grudge."

Noel Vermillion

"RAGNA!" Noel yelled as she twirled around in the air, a look of panic on her face. She rushed forward and grabbed him before he collapsed, holding him tenderly in her arms. "Wh-what are you doing here?" She wondered aloud while tears formed in her eyes. What just happened?

She turned to Rachel and looked her seriously in the eyes. "Miss Rachel, do you know what just happened?" She asked her with complete seriousness. "When did you find Ragna?"

"Noel, it pains me to say it, but I have no idea why Ragna just collapsed. Maybe he had an epiphany about how wretched it is to be as idiotic as he is. He appeared out of nowhere from a portal moments after you left." Rachel's umbrella disappeared in an instant, back to the nether realms that Noel imagined it to reside within as a small chair poofed into existence behind Rachel, which she proceeded to sit on.

Noel held Ragna gingerly, like a sickly child, as she listened to Rachel's explaination. Then she remembered something. Remembered someone. She turned her head to face the mysterious woman. "Thank you for leaping to protect me but…who are you?"

She looked at the strange woman's blue hair and strange outfit as the morning sun peeked over the skylike, illuminating the world with its natural light. Noel felt soothed by it. It was just the normal sun. The light didn't feel like an unholy abomination creeping through the Nexus like a cockroach. "Anyway, my name is Noel Vermillion, what's yours?" She said with a cheerful smile.

Birdy!

A small bird flew over and looked at Vanguard curiously. It sung a small ditter and it gazed at him, its silvery feathers glistened in the morning dawnlight.

Irisviel

Irisviel watched the interloper carefully, unsure of what to do. She didn't have the energy to deal with this. She covered her head with a pillow. Maybe if she waited the armour would go away.

After a long while Irisviel finally reacted.

Birdy!

Suddenly, the bird spoke in a woman's voice. "What is it that you want from me?" She asked in an irritated tone.

Vanguard

Vanguard smiled internally. He didn't assume that perched bird was a familiar. At the very least, someone was inside after all, his hypothesis was indeed confirmed. He was dealing with a mage of possible renown. Still, he couldn't act brashly. So, as if genuinely surprized, Vanguard looked up to the bird and stared in shock. His hands trembled, and he almost stumbled and fell. Clutching at his face, he spoke with a shaky voice, as if on the verge of tears.

"Oh... thank god. Please, whoever it is, can you hear me?"

Shinobu

Shinobu did think there was was something strange about Tenma when she came out from the toilet. She appeared to be robot like...wait what happened to her watch?. Maybe she dropped it, well it was of little concern to the blond vampire who was more focused on getting back at the man who had rejected her generous offer. After she paid for the donut she walked over to the table Gintoki was sitting at. She then promptly sat down on his lap facing him before raising the donut infront of his mouth. "Eat it, I offered you a donut so you will have one, do not think you can escape this".

Gintoki

Gintoki stared at the artificial sun afar. He couldn't really waste time, but at the same time it would be a pain in ass to go through another death trap filled dungeon. Then, the sun fizzled out, the sky changed its hue to natural blue as the morning sun was rising again. Somebody did the job instead of him. Or whatever had such a bad taste learned a lesson and removed it. Whatever was the cause, the silver haired man was distracted enough to only notice Shinobu sitting on his lat when it was too late. "Oi, what you are doing." he asked the vampire. She was damn pushy.

"My favorite I guess are monkeys. They are like humans, but they are not same. I guess I feel kinship with them. I'm a human, but I'm kinda not a one, just like them. And I can become a monkey too, wanna see?" said, Rikuyo, sprouting a fur covered monkey tail. "It's a special service. Normally I don't bother with doing like that when I don't fight anybody strong, but this water lets me waste my energy without worry." Meanwhile, the white sky vanished, and a sun started rising on horison.

? ? ?

The girl shook her head.

"No, I'm fine. My stomach isn't agreeing with me, that's all." She said, smiling absently. Then, she walked out of the shop, opening the door out. Before leaving, she spoke one last time.

"I'll go take some fresh air."

The vampire followed Gintoki's line of sight and noticed that a fake sun was gone. She also saw that the real sun was rising, amusingly it seemed like the light from it bothered her less than the fake ones.

"Oi, what you are doing." she heard him say as she turned her face back towards him. She moved around a bit to make it more comfortable before she relaxed and spoke.

"I...I just wanted to let you have taste of these delicious donuts, I noticed they were of rather high quality when I examined them earlier. and well I might have overreacted earlier, so will you please accept this" she said while holding the donut infront of her and leaning a bit closer.

(OOC: Sorry Knick, but you could've at least kept your word when you said you'd post by Monday.)

Emily

It had taken more finesse than Emily knew she was capable of mustering while still kinda drunk, but she managed to persuade Crest to take a pillow and a tawdry sum, as opposed to all of the money. It was at times like these that Emily found a true appreciation for what her Contracts could accomplish, but now she was at a loss for what to do to occupy herself. Healing the cut with another of her Contracts, the Changeling sent her clothes down to the laundry and washed up again, all but feeling the alcohol working its way out of her system. When the clothes came out of the dryer, a few more hours had passed since she'd gotten back from her drunken walk. To Emily's surprise, the aggravating tingling had vanished by the time she'd made her way out to collect them, the white sky replaced by the more natural light of the sun.

Huh. Well, that was odd. Probably best not to dwell on it anyway.

Noting that Mordred still wasn't back, Emily decided that she might as well go for another walk now that she was a far bit more sober. With that in mind, the Changeling retrieved that note she'd left for Mordred and left it out for her to find before bundling up in her now cleaned clothes and heading out. With the harsh edge gone, the soothing warmth of the sun providing an invigorating contrast with the chill nipping at whatever was exposed. Making her way through the city, Emily happened upon a curious sight. A young girl with a strange flying worm-thing in front of her, radiating a soft heat. Her outfit didn't seem very appropriate for winter, but more important was the fact that she looked rather lost.

"Excuse me," she called out to the girl as she drew closer, "You seem a bit lost. Would you like some help finding your way around here?"
