Medaka

The blue haired girl put a hand on her chin and said,  "I was thinking that perhaps I could fly above the building and scout it from the sky.  I figured your ice magic would be able to cover me better from the air anyway."

She looked directly into Anastasia's eyes, curious as to her response.  "Do you have a safer alternative?"

"Nearby huh?" he echoed.  He observed the prints from a standing position in contrast to Rundas's crouching.  He placed his hands behind his head and said, "I say we stay low until we get close enough that it can't run away.  Then, we should reveal ourselves to it.  There is nothing more fun than staring down a monster.  If it turns out its just an ant in a demon's skin, we can always eat it."

Sakura Matou

Sakura's shadow covertly slunk through town, into a rather shady area. Once it got there, a massive amount of bugs crawled out of it skittering away into the darkness, mapping out the entire area and making sure it was safe and that nobody was watching. Only then did the Shadow go inside and stand up, an inky black blob looking around. "Hello." She said nervously. "Is Sakura here?" She asked some dangerous looking gang members, eyeing her shadow with suspicion.

Sigurd

Sigurd sighed.  Youngsters like this were the type of people he always envied.  Those born with enough talent and power to travel the world without a care in the world.  He had always been tied down either by training or by the responsibilities of his kingdom.  The vary thought of that brought a wistful smile to his face.  "I see," he said.  "That is a fine way to live.  But if I may be so bold, I think you should pay more heed to your surroundings."

He slowly descended onto the soft grass of the yard.  "Perhaps you should join us for morning meditation and breakfast."

Stella

She would have been screaming her lungs out now, after it had descended really towards the ground only to make a sharp turn and then going through not one, not two but three consecutive loops. It was like the designer was an utter sadist who wanted all the people going to spill the contents of their stomachs in the corners. It was unappealing to her, she didn't get a rush from this, no exhilaration nor any fear. Just a slight annoyance from being tossed left and right with no control.

Nero

"Aw, do not worry my dear, you are with the imperial protection of ROMA!"

Having said this, the short Empress stood up to feel the wind, yelling her lungs out at the delightful thrill.

Olga Marie

Olga thought back quickly on what she'd read about. Previous grail wars, the involved servants, historical myths, and more. Yet she was having difficulty thinking of a roman emperor who looked like a small buxom blond girl. She was able to instantly rule out all the African emperors. Probably most of the later emperors as well. Which left the earlier emperors. She decided she could be any of the more eccentric emperors. Her thinking helped her relax. Until they hit the loops. They spun and spun and spun, faster and faster until Olga's face turned green. She'd come to an epiphany. A great realization and validation of her life experiences.

Roller coasters fucking sucked. She hated them.

And a minute later, the ride ended, and the handlebars rose up. Still feeling wobbly, she stood up and looked at Stella and the servant. "Shall we... go try some more civilized ride?" She smiled weakly as she offered them both a hand.

"Your scouting plan might or might not be a good idea depending on how good are your opponent's sense. Could you see him from afar without getting noticed by him?" An element of surprise probably would be important here. They couldn't let their enemy hold the initiative.

Medaka shook her head and said, "No I will have to slowly decend.  However, as long as there aren't too many people, I should be able to keep the opponents grounded.  If need be, you can offer me a distraction from afar to escape.  In the worst case scenario, I can play dead and escape later."

"....And this filth walks among us, breathing the same air, sharing the same space, unhindred. Watching us, preying upon us and striking us at our moment of weakness. I say no more. Enough is enough."

"Kill all the freaks!" A voice was was heard from the large crowd, many other's agreeing with it while other's were more on the fence.

For some while now this normally bustling sqaure near the center of the city where people often sat down for meals at the many restaurants that were located in the area, something out of ordinary was occuring. A strange woman was standing behind a podium and holding a speech infront of a now enraged group of people. About three quarters of the square was now filled with people and more was coming to see what was going on each second that passed.

"They can be anywhere. These monsters are an unnatural plague wrought upon this city by it's sins. But our great Lord is not without mercy. No he is merciful and like a shepherd he will guide through the valley of the shadow of death. And I am here as his emissary, the instrument of his will, to show you the way when no one else can." Her perpetually scornful gaze softened for a fragment of a second only for it returned harsher than ever.

Then her right hand struck the podium with enough force to crack it.

"Salvation can only be found in ridding yourself of the sin, pulling it by it's roots like the cancer that it is. We must bring them down before it's too late, before judgement day is upon us! Then and only then can we be saved!"

"Amen!" She finished in a prayer.

Vanguard

"It's almost ready..." A hand stroked the glass wall placidly, like a corpse, revealing a hollow stare into the unknown. Whatever was within the glass pulsated, silently, like an alien organism. And yet, it was the most human thing in this room. Unlike the pristine medical room, this laboratory that expanded far below the mountains was a forgotten lair of rust and metal. Unknown, unforgiving, and oh so cruel. But as the tentacles writhed around the room, staring back at the perpetrator with hateful eyes, he felt at home.

"How are you feeling? ...I understand. This prison must feel so restraining. So hateful. I truly understand your pain. How detestable it must be, to look at the world through a screen of glass, unable to do anything. I understand, because I have suffered the same way."

But the corpse didn't move. Even if the remains crowding the laboratory were as lively as ever, the droning of machinery silenced them.

"I understand. As the unused remains to create me, you must feel truly alone. I feel the same way. The difference was that I was chosen, while you were doomed from the beginning. They could never accept you as something that exists. But that is alright. I promise, in my world, I will grant your wish."

His voice bore no emotion, but there was a true infatuation in his words, as if the mass of petrified flesh within the glass container, contorted into these bizarre and inhuman shapes was a true object of affection. Even now, its eyes were still open. But without a proper host, they were no better than those of a corpse. How frustrating, he had retrieved the joker card, but had no suitable vessel to grant his wish.

"I will find your... no, our happy ending. No matter what."

Medaka

Medaka shook her head and said, "No I will have to slowly decend.  However, as long as there aren't too many people, I should be able to keep the opponents grounded.  If need be, you can offer me a distraction from afar to escape.  In the worst case scenario, I can play dead and escape later."

Vanguard

...!

Shrouded by sterile neon lights and a damp, cold darkness, he sighed and smiled bitterly. Its as if he heard the same old tired joke once more, and happened to have found it funny for the first time in eons.

"I see, of course. I can feel her. I had grown tired of waiting." His blank expression didn't betray him, the demonic wild card he had gotten his hands upon had infinite uses, but he wouldn't be able to use a single fraction of its power without a key.

More tentacles slithered around the laboratory, sickening things that didn't dare connect despite their fascination with the machine's shadow.

One of the slithering black blobs whispered, or rather gargled lowly, like an alien sea creature that had been forcibly pulled out of water. Its soul had been ravaged, and its remains had been reconstructed, but as long as it remained hollow it held no power or soul. It hungered for a heart.

"Ah, it was a shame. You weren't the candidate of choice, but time was pressing. I assumed your soul would not be great enough, but your heart turned out to make for adequate feed. Don't worry, I didn't rob you of your intelligence. I was the victor of our little bout, even you accepted it in the end."

The husk within the glass tube was a mere mummy, and the limbs roaming free in the laboratory lacked a will other than the primal need to eat. So why didn't they attack the intruder? They didn't even seem to notice him, almost as if he was something they registered as familiar.

"It is a tragedy that the Gods stripped humans of their original memories. Because of that, they make the same mistakes over and over again. I'm sure that by the end, they will be sending every person off on a suicide charge, from their elders to their children, they'll go on saying that if they're going to die anyway, they might as well die a proud death."

His blank, bitter smile twisted into a frown, and he glared to himself. His soul immediately changed and steeled itself with resolve. Everything spun towards his fate, this was what it meant to be absolute. And yet she would defy him now of all times?

"A bunch of simple minded fools, that's what humans are..."

Cold anger flashed in his face, and a foot stepped onto a pitch black tendril, shocking it with thunder and crushing it until it turned into nothing more than waste, only for his face to turn into an impassive calm again.

"Oops. I crushed it into dust. Heh, what am I doing?" He rubbed his head, as if he had a headache. Perhaps he hadn't been able to strip himself of his weakness just yet. He had yet to pass fate's test. "What're you getting so worked up for? You're no slave any longer, remember? You need to find joy in every little thing."

He smiled gently, as any kind old man you'd find on the street, and stepped forth out of the laboratory, followed by the black thing.

"Now let's turn those who'd rebel against our dream into proud little chunks of meat."

Bennett

"Yeah! You tell them!" A voice cheered among the crowd, muffled by a hazmat suit that covered its owner's entire body. "Vampires suck!" He even went as far as to pump his fist and jump with his flamethrower waving in the air, if only because of his short size. As if he didn't stand out enough already, he seemed all giddy about this hate rally, only to realize he didn't even know who was supposed to be burned in the first place.

"Um, you're talking about vampires, right?" The odd hazmat guy asked the talking girl directly.

Anesa

Soon enough the whole meal was completely finished. Finally content, Anesa had a bit of cheer as she straightened her back. "That was an excellent meal, Lorenzo. My thanks for treating me to such a thing. It must have surely been costly."

Lorenzo

The pirate's face turned a little pale at that. Costly? She didn't even think about that. "Eeeeeh, don't worry about that!" The pirate grinned, acting like everything was fine and dandy.

"Sir, your bill." The waiter bowed politely and handed it over to Lorenzo. On that moment, his eyes nearly popped out his skull and his jaw gaped as wide as the sun.

"Heh, of course. Right away sir..." He reached for his pocket, only to look really chocked and point outside in disbelief.

"Oh hey Anesa, look over there!" He pointed to a magnificent fiery ship, parked in the middle of the road.

Molly

Molly nodded eagerly at the explanation, she  did drop her clothes to hide herself. It wouldn't do to show off too much. "Will I get to meet the Master?" She asked, being clearly intruiged to meet the being who claimed he could achieve that. People who did were either insane or the real deal.

Tarset certainly seemed to believe it, but she'd withhold any judgement on that until she'd actually seen it.

Stella

"Civilized?" Stella sounded confused at the strange request. "I was told this was the pinnacle of civlization which is why I came here. Are you telling me I have been misled and ended up in a barabaric place?" The knight said with a completely straight face. There wasn't a single hint or trace of what she was saying being a joke.

Stella suddenly kneeled infront of the shorter blonde. "My Empress, might I be as presumptious as to ask for permission to escort you away from these barbaric land?"

???

Among the crowd there was one voice that cried out louder than any other. Wanting to find the source her sharp eyes scanned the crowd until her gaze locked onto the boy in the yellow hazmat suit.

"No. Not just the bloodsucking fiends known as vampires." She practically spat out the name. "But all of the non human filth that pollute this fine city. It must be cleansed if we are to be free of sin. Then and only then...." She walked off the stage, the crowd making room for her advance with an almost palpable reverance for her in their actions, until she reached him.

"Will we reach salvation. Amen!" She was about as tall as him, well with her military style hat she was actually slightly taller, but even that hat seemed to drown in her puffy voluminous hair.
