Frank Horrigan:

How dare they attack...

Nearly everybody was giving Frank's giant form a wide berth. His cold, seething anger metaphorically dropping the room temperature to nearly freezing.

How dare they attack...

His gauntletted hands curled into fists as he peered at the reports. Gears were turning in his head as he pieced together the larger picture - a large scale attack, seemingly perpetrated by Halloween Town. They shall repay their neighbors to the East tenfold for this.

"Ma'am," crimson lenses turned towards his charge, "What is our next course of action?"

Frank Horrigan:

"I have a feeling you're going to push the point if I say no. And I have a feeling they'll follow your orders in this more than they will mine."

Damn right they would, Frank thought. Crisis situation means that their charge's life is far more important than what she actually wants. If they say otherwise, he'd have them removed from the team.

"However, I must insist we move to a location closer to the capital. The chain of command will do us no good if I cannot also do my job. We need to coordinate the response."

A decent compromise. He can appreciate that.

"Congressional Bunker it is," His baritone voice boomed over the comms, "Take us there, pilot, and make sure they know we're coming."

Frank Horrigan:

This is a coordinated attack then, Frank thought. Whether it was a preemptive strike for a war, or if it was the doing of a terrorist cell matters little at this time.

"Ma'am," he said, "I must recommend for you to seek safety at the bunker. We must treat this as an attack, and the chain of command must be preserved."

Knowing that Serra Drosa likes to get hands on with military matters, Horrigan added "At least until the dust settles." a nearly imperceptible plea was there...

"Alright, everyone, we're out of here," Horrigan called to his team over the comms.

He stood to the side of the ramp as his unit hustles in, before boarding the helicopter himself. First one on the field, last one off - a principle his father instilled into him in his youth. Upon taking his seat, he turned to face his charge, "Madame Drosa, was this an isolated incident? Or are we under attack?"

Frank Horrigan:

The super mutant responded by giving a crisp salute, before turning away to focus on the situation at hand. He was not used to open admiration. At least, not one that wasn't tainted with fear. This was something new to ponder about later...

Horrigan climbed up the hill that he just nuked, scorched earth covered with charred squashes. His helmet blocked all odor, but he would have guessed that the air would smell like a pumpkin pie cook off gone horribly wrong. The remains of the formerly glowing carrier pumpkin was rathermacabre- the back half of the shell, though splintered, was largely intact while the cooked innards flowed outwards. It reminded him how a Deathclaw looked after having its front turned to mulch by his minigun back in California.

Halloween Town was known for its rather festive magic. Attacking jack-o-lanterns does fit their M.O. But how did they get here, and why would they attack? Chairwoman Drosa's helicopter whooshed overhead, causing him to look up. She would be a highly valued target if there was to be an invasion...

"Madame Drosa," he called over the comms, "I recommend we pull out."

"Alright, fan out and secure the parameter," Frank ordered through the comms, "If a pumpkin looks intact or a vine twitches, smash it. When in doubt, double tap."

He turned his gaze to the immobilized school tank. He was actually impressed at how calm they were through the whole ordeal, especially when their vehicle was surrounded by the enemy. Maybe there was something to the whole Tankwando School program? "You lot in the tank did good," He threw them a bone, "Kept your cool under pressure and exceeded my expectations. Columbia's in good hands."

The mini nuke was created in a time where science was married to warfare. Developed for use by the US Military, it brought the power of the atom to the hands of mere infantry. Its sole purpose was the complete obliteration of Chinese Coomunist detachments and erasing whatever fortifications they built up. Normally, this high grade explosive is launched from a shoulder-mounted catapult. Special Agent Horrigan has no need to a catapult.

The super mutant soldier ran forward like a football player of old, only to come to an abrupt halt and threw the mini nuke overhand. Though vines shot up in front of the giant squash, it was doomed - a sudden fireball engulfed not only the vines, but the face as well. Searing heat the same temperature as the sun engulfed the localized environment, flash frying the vines and the smaller pumpkins on the ground just below. This was followed by a concussive blast that pulped the attacking plants further out, as well as further shattering the shell of the king pumpkin.

All this happened in less than a second after impact...

A mushroom cloud enveloped the scene, temporarily hiding the carnage that was wrought.

Brrrrrrrrzzzzz - Pfffff

Frank had no choice but to stop firing - magically reinforced as it was, it still overheated over time. Right now, the end of the barrel was glowing an angry orange and steaming. It might even need some repairing post-mission, Frank noted.

Ahead, the giant carrier pumpkins loomed, center one still glowing red. "Those big ones keep bringing in more, they need to go now," the greenskin said over the comms, "Tank crew, focus fire on the left most. Grenadiers, center right. Rocket Launcher, right most."

The super magus unhooked a large, football-shaped object from a homebrewed holster. A mini nuke. "I got the Red One."

Frank Horrigan:

The Special Agent kept firing his minigun, sweeping in wide arcs. Any of the smaller pumpkins caught in his cross hairs weren't only turned to pulp, but a fine purée by the hose of bullets. However, a few managed to make the flank...

Frank was nonplussed. With his right hand, he just unhooked a plasma bomb, primed it, and chucked it right at them, all the while maintaining fire at the others. A bright flash of green erupted just to his right, followed by a splattering of squash on his armor confirming multiple kills with the explosive. The highschoolers, in the mean time, were using this as an opportunity to pull out - their Shermans making their way eastwards just as one of the colossal pumpkins drove into the earth nearby. To be perfectly honest, He would have appreciated their firepower in this fight, but they were civilians. He had no jurisdiction over them. But the one in front of him that had its tracks blown off is not in a position to say no to his orders. Yes, that could work.

The super mutant...liberated them from their captors with a spray from his minigun, bullets bouncing off harmlessly on the hull yet splattering the jack-o-lanterns. "You there in the FUBAR'd tank," He reached out to them over the radio, turning the gatling gun back to the skittering masses - barrels finally starting tot urn orange from the friction, "Fire on that big one. It's up to something."

Now if only that helicopter would land with his backup...

Frank Horrigan:

Frank had to give the pilot his credit - dodging that vine limb was not an easy feat, and certainly displayed tactical awareness. But that only brought forward a problem - an LZ had to be cleared in order for them to disembark. The giant of a man grasped the door handle of the chopper, swiftly sliding it open. This action, of course, earned him the confused looks from his compatriots. After all, they were still too high up to jump out, and lacked tethers to slide down. "I will clear us a landing zone," the meta human said while squeezing his massive frame through the confined space of the vehicle.

Then he leapt.

Horrigan ignored his squad calling after him as he made landfall. Placing his armored feet under him, he crashed down right on top of one of the invading jack-o-lanterns, smashing it to bits. One down, hundreds more to go. His ancestral sword sprung out of its armored sheath while he leveled his minigun onto the nearest cluster of rampaging  squashes.

Brrrrrrrrzzzzzzzzz

Frank Horrigan:

The armored giant stared back at his charge, disapproval radiating from his being. Sentimentality is a catastrophic handicap for individuals in high places, especially those who lack in physical ability in situations like this. Alas, she was still his superior, and orders are orders.

"Check your gear and prepare for combat," his baritone voice ordered over the comms, "Pilot, drop us down. Don't land, and immediately ascend after we disembark. You are our only ticket out of here if things turn south.

"Ma'am," he turned his attention back to Serra, "I will still advise you to stay in the chopper."

Aruna

A human would gaze upon such a site and be scared, but Aruna merely found herself thinking back to her younger days.  Watching this woman feed reminded her of the enthusiasm she once had for the hunt.  Everything was so complicated now.

Rising from behind the counter, the human in her left hand, she said, "Oh you must be hungry!" she said.  "I did not expect you to consume all three so quickly.  I need humans alive in order to feed on their souls.  Have you eaten recently?"

Destoroyah

"Recently, actually," Destoroyah said with a smile, leaning her weight onto her implanted sword, "But if there's food in front of you, why pass it up~?"

Aruna

Aruna leapt into her portal, which opened right above the bartender.  Dropping down silently behind him, she placed her hand over his mouth and dragged him under the counter.  Somehow, despite his screaming, there was not a single sound.  She stared upward, waiting to see how the girl would approach her hunt.
Destoroyah:

Meanwhile, Destoroyah's portal popped he rout right behind one of the men sitting at the table. The attack was so swift it was almost instantaneous...

She wasted no time, reaching out with her left hand and grabbing hold of the occupied chair, immediately tipping it back causing the man to fall over. At the same time, she manifested her Variable Slicer in her right hand and swung. A bright, red light and a low hum was all the warning the other two men still sitting had before being cleaved in half. The startled survivor at her feet was only coming to his senses when Destoroyah buried her sword right next to his head, "My. My, my my~," she said, a sinister smile forming.

The mahou kaiju's tail shot out, snatching the unfortunate man up in it's chitinous jaws. It promptly slammed him into the table, snapping it in two, only to lift him back up and slamming him onto the flooring. All the while, his very life was being drained from his broken body, causing him to visibly age.

Once Destoroyah finished him off a couple of seconds later, she tossed the desiccated corpse into a wall...

Aruna

"Life force huh?" Aruna mused.  She really did sound like she was one of the old-timey demons, especially if she had such a blatant show of dominance.  The new age demon felt her heart sink as she lamented that lost lust for blood.  Although, there was a reason they did not engage in such behavior anymore.

Brown walls were illuminated by cozy lamps, decorated with a lavash counter top.  A single man stood behind the counter, trying his hardest to stifle his frown.  Three men huddled around a table.  One rested their head on the table while the other two fumbled with some cards.  The bartender tried his best not to look annoyed at the three men.  He was pretty sure they were driving away customers.  Ever since they came here, the place had been hallowed out.  If only they could go away somehow......

Meanwhile, Aruna and Destroyah stood on the top of the roof.  "Now heres the plan," she said.  "I shall cast a spell to open several portals.  You can go through the portal, land on one of them then BAM!"
Destoroyah:

"Ooh~?" The smile never left Destoroyah's lips.

She didn't trust her new found meal companion as far as she could throw her - and that is far. But she certainly wasn't a fellow Mahou Kaiju, and that places the skimpily-dressed horned woman below her. Well, the other Mahou Kaiju were also below her, but that's beside the point - this woman could do nothing to her. Even if the portal dropped her into the abyss, Destoroyah would claw her way back out and rip her apart. "This is going to be so much fun~!" The redhead exclaimed, a dangerous glint taking form in her eyes, "Let's do it~"

Aruna giggled and said,  "Sure sure.  I can show you a hunting spot.  What do you eat Destroyah?  I live off of human souls but I know not all creatures share the same diet."
Destoroyah:

"I, personally, drain the lifeforce~. They become all shriveled and scrawny after being sucked dry." The teenage psychopath explained, smile taking on a more...expressive turn.

A split second later her smile returned to normal, "Now~, now~, let's go have some fun!"
