Sakura
Sakura listened to Togan speak with enthusiasm. Whilst she didn't like his cavalier attitude to innocent lives one bit, his willingness and ability to protect them and, most importantly, Shirou, was still very helpful to her cause.
Irisviel, however, was still clearly not remotely convinced.
"We still shouldn't go, Sakura. It's not safe, and your husband won't throw himself to die. He has a wife and family, right? You should send a familar, but otherwise it's simply not safe", she said.
"Now, you must be fairly hungry, right?"
Sakura's stomach rumbled as she pondered Irisviel's response for a moment. She was right that Shirou would not willingly sacrifice himself. She knew that she had, after much effort, managed to make him understand just how important he was to her, and how much it would hurt her if he were killed. But, even so, an unwillingness to commit suicide was not the same as an unwillingness to put himself in danger at all. She herself would probably have gone if it were not for Irisviel's warnings, she very much doubted that Shirou would be aware of just how much danger he was putting himself in.
"He won't willingly sacrifice himself, no, but that doesn't mean he won't take risks. And, he won't see it as dangerous. Back home, we would deal with a situation like this without any issues. He will go without a doubt. And, once he is there, he will not be able to just ignore people dying, no matter what the danger", she replied, before pausing a moment to think about the other part of Irisviel's response.
Hmm, that could work. If he is there then I can just transport myself to the familiar and help him.
Still, she was sure there was a quicker way. Her familiars were not exceptionally quick-moving, and she was sure Togan could get there far more quickly than she could. Or, indeed, Irisviel in her car.
"I guess we could send familiars. I can travel to mine, or use it to bring Shirou back. But, they're too slow-moving. I don't want Shirou to die...", she said, starting to tear up at the thought.
