Cross Effects 3.0 - April 13, 2015—June 23, 2016

Emily

As Emily stared at the bottle, the roiling sea of thoughts and emotions soon faded to a dull roar as she considered her situation once more. After a few minutes spent in contemplation, Emily managed to push herself back off the bed and get into the bathroom once more. She really needed to talk to someone, but Mordred was probably still a little snappy and she was saving the bottle currently on the nightstand for Mordred. Retrieving the half-empty bottle of rum from the bathroom vanity, Emily made her way out of the bathroom and back onto the bed, flopping back against the mattress with the bottle clutched in one hand.

After a few moments spent like this, Emily sat up, looking at the bottle, then at the nightstand, where the two cups sat, then back at the bathroom. The Changeling's gaze drifted between the bottle and the cups once more before she shrugged and took a swig directly from the bottle. Looking at the bottle again, the Changeling took a few more before deciding that at the very least she wouldn't have to worry about the bottle snapping at her.

"You know," she started, holding out the bottle, "I suppose I've had worse days, but this has been pretty bad."

Emily leaned back against the head-board, kicking her feet up onto the mattress, considering the jeans she was currently wearing and deciding that she'd need to get her hands on something a bit lighter some time in the near future.

"I mean," she continued, taking another swig of the rum, "Just landed in some weird new place, the only other Changeling I've found is currently showering in the next room, and there seems to be some shady as hell group after us."

Emily lay there for a moment, propped up against the headboard as she considered the current situation.

"What's next?" she asked the bottle plaintively, "The return of that Autumn bitch?"

She waited for a few seconds, as if awaiting an answer, before knocking back another gulp of the rum, sighing as the warm burn slid down her throat. The Changeling set the bottle down nearby, now with only a quarter of it's original amount of rum remaining, and sat up, pulling off the jacket and the sweater and briefly considering removing the jeans before deciding that it was a bit too chilly for that. Now clad in jeans and a thin blouse, Emily eased back against the head-board, the pillows behind her providing something soft to rest on.

Mordred finished her showering, now dressed up in her red pajamas consisting of pants and a top. She reinforced her Mask so her fellow Changeling didn't have to see the armor. Normally she slept naked, but she thought it would be awkward for her. Especially that she remembered that the room had only one bed...

The sight of Emily drinking even more greeted her. That displeased her, as at heart she was still concerned about Emily. "Hey, drinking like that won't lead to anything good, just go to sleep. You will have a bitch of a hangover tomorrow, geez. Sorry I snapped at you, I'm just being concerned. C'mon, let's go to bed, it's getting late." She blushed a little saying that.

Forest

"I'm an odd jobs guy, so just ask me and I can run errands for you. But, if you don't mind me asking about it, are you one of Amanto? I just want to assure you I don't have problem with that, even if there are countrymen of mine who don't take kindly to you." Gintoki smiled at her.

The vampire tucked a loose lock of her hair behind her ear and said, "I'm pretty sure I'm not an Amanto.  I am a vampire though."

Forest

The vampire tucked a loose lock of her hair behind her ear and said, "I'm pretty sure I'm not an Amanto.  I am a vampire though."

"You're joking, right?" A vampire? Gintoki thought they were beings only found in stories, so he had right to be skeptical. However, a pale skin and claiming to not be good with sunlight were something that all vampires had in common. "You don't have fangs or red eyes."

Forest

Forest shook her head and said, "Nope, not joking.  I can have red eyes and fangs though, but I have to go into feeding mode for them to show up.  I mean, how can I get along in society if I always have glowing red eyes and fangs?"

[SINIB]

Sakura

Sakura nodded. “Sounds like a good idea. We could throw some vegetables in the pan too! Can you get the pan out, I’ll start cutting the potatoes.”

[Elf]

Shirou

Shirou nodded and said, "That sounds good.  Hey, you have any good peppers?  Maybe some bells and if you have anything spicier that will be nice."

[SINIB]

Sakura

“Um, maybe? I have some green peppers, I may have some hot peppers in the fridge? Why don’t you check, Senpai?”

[Elf]

Shirou

Shirou looked through the fridge and found a group of small, gorgeous almost neon orange peppers.  He picked three of them up and whistled.  "Habaneros, I didn't know you liked things this spicy," he said as he emerged from the fridge.  He said, "If you cut these, make sure wash your hands really good afterwards and don't touch your eyes."

Medaka Kurokami

"No your still alive we can..."  She said before she noticed that his body was rapidly getting cold.  "No.. No... I... STOP!"  She wailed.  She held him close within her bosom as his life slowly began to fade away.

"Please..... don't die again.  I cant bare it."  She mumbled weakly.

Sakura

Sakura chuckled and put down the knife, spinning around with another giggle. “I’m just full of surprises!” She said merrily before returning to her work.

“And of course I know that, I’ve cooked with them before.”

[Elf]

Shirou

"I know I know, there was just the Fuji-nee incident that one time and she didn't listen so I make it a habit to warn," Shirou said with a sigh.

[SINIB]

Sakura

Sakura sighed. “I hope she’s okay without you there to take care of her. I don’t know what she’s going to do.”

[Elf]

Shirou

"Probably eat at lot of carry out," Shirou said with a grin.  "She's an adult; she needs to learn how to take care of herself."

[SINIB]

Sakura

“Yeah, you’re right. We probably spoiled her too much, didn’t we?” Sakura began to reminisce about the past. “I miss that.”

Forest

Forest shook her head and said, "Nope, not joking.  I can have red eyes and fangs though, but I have to go into feeding mode for them to show up.  I mean, how can I get along in society if I always have glowing red eyes and fangs?"

Gintoki

"I wouldn't judge you anyway, I'm used to weird looking people. I also don't look normal with that damn natural perm of mine. And I don't know your circumstances, but you are willing to help a person you barely know, so I don't think you are a killer." Gintoki was giving her a benefit of doubt. If she really killed people, he would find out that and deal with her. But hopefully she was one of the nicer ones.
