Shirou, Sakura and Rider

Rider listened to the words of the idiot on the other end of the phone with a mixture of confusion, annoyance and relief. She was obviously overjoyed that Sakura was, in fact, unharmed and, although she'd never admit it, she was also happy to hear her master's praise for her. At the same time, though, she was exceptionally irritated at the man's tone and the fact that he would joke about Sakura's well-being in that manner, particularly when Sakura was seemingly listening and knew he was talking to Shirou.

"Rider, what's happening? Where is Sakura?" Shirou asked, anxiously.

"She's fine, Shirou", Rider said, making no effort to avoid the man on the other end hearing her. "This asshole was just joking when he said he'd kidnapped her."

"Who would joke about something like that?" Shirou said, angrily.

Rider listened to the man's words, wondering how best to chew him out for his tasteless joke without ruining the chance for Sakura to reunite with the man she loved, hoping he would soon hand the phone to Sakura herself.

Sakura, meanwhile, listened with excitement, her annoyance at Togan mostly forgotten as she heard him mention the servant she had come here to find. It appeared that, not only had she managed to contact Shirou, but that Shirou had actually found the servant she had feared may be lost forever. She waited, hopefully, for him to hand her the phone and, sure enough, as soon as he had finished speaking, he tossed the device to her, giving her a thumbs-up, before shifting into the form of a brown-haired, golden-eyed man and leaping off into the distance, addressing her as he did so. Sakura vaguely heard what he was saying as she picked up the phone and put it to her ear, something about that having always been his form, but she wasn't really paying much attention.

As soon as the idiot had finished speaking, Rider started up, intending to berate him over the tasteless joke.

"A joke? Seriously? You told Shirou that his wife had been kidnapped. That is not fun...", she began.

"Rider! Rider, it's me, he's gone", Sakura said, having just picked up the phone.

"Sakura!" Rider responded, excitedly.

"I'm fine, Rider. How are you? Where are you? Can you pass me over to Shirou?" Sakura asked, rambling somewhat, overjoyed to be able to speak to her servant once more.

"I'm fine, we're both perfectly safe right now", Rider said, not wanting to explain her situation to Sakura just yet. "I'll hand you over to Shirou."

"Hi darling", Shirou said, brightly. "I'm fine, are you OK? Where are you, we'll come to find you".

Sakura pondered the question for a moment, unsure of how to respond. She had been too busy holding on for dear life to note the route they had taken to get to the castle and, even if she had, she had no idea where Shirou and Rider were relative to them.

Well, it's a castle. It can't be that difficult to find..., she thought.

"Erm, well, I don't exactly know. But, I'm in a castle. A really big castle", she said.

"I... see...", Shirou responded, confused, before turning to Rider.

"She says she's in a castle, but she doesn't know where", he said to the servant.

Rider cursed under her breath. Normally, "in a castle" would be a pretty unique description, but the Nexus was not a normal place, and she had seen several things that could be described as a "castle".

"Well, I've seen several castles around, can she be more specific?", Rider replied with a frown.

"Honey, what does the castle look like?" Shirou asked.

Sakura frowned as she recalled the design of the castle, and what it would most remind him of.

"It's.. it's like Ilya's castle, but bigger", she said, a hint of sadness in her voice.

Shirou, too, frowned wistfully, fragmented memories of the little sister he had all-too-briefly known coming back to him.

Is Ilya here? he wondered.

After all, if he had met another version of Sakura, then it was possible that there was a version of his sister who had somehow survived.

"Is Ilya there?" he asked her, hope in his voice.

"N..no", Sakura responded, sadly. "I don't know where she is."

Then, though, she perked up.

"But, I have met her mother! She's really, really nice!" she continued. "I'll tell you about her when you arrive, please hand me over to Rider so I can direct her."

A look of astonishment came over Shirou's face as he heard the words.

Ilya's mother?

Shirou knew very little about his sister's mother. Kiritsugu had never even mentioned her and nor, for that matter, had Ilya. In fact, he hadn't been entirely sure if she even had a mother. Apparently, though, she was here, and Sakura had found her. He was curious to know more. But, more than that, he just wanted to see his wife, to know she was safe.

"OK, darling, I'll talk to you soon", he said, happily, handing the phone over to Sakura's servant.

"Rider, let's get going, Sakura can tell you where it is on the way", he said, taking hold of Rider's hand and heading for the door.

Rider, accepting his words, began to lead him up the stairs and out of the house

"OK, Sakura, tell me where to go, I'll be there as soon as possible", the servant said as she walked up the stairs and towards the door of the house.

"I..I don't know the location, but I'm in a big castle, like Ilya's castle, only a lot bigger", she replied.

Rider frowned as she walked out of the door with Shirou, looking around to see if she could find the castle that had been described.

"How do you not know? Are you a prisoner?" she asked, worried and remembering the words of the man she had been talking to before.

Sakura giggled at her servant's concern.

"No, don't worry, I'm fine. I just never had the chance to work out where I was on the way here. I'm sure you can find it, though", she said, almost proudly.

Rider, unable to see the castle from where she was, turned to address Shirou.

"We're going to have to go to the roof to find it", she said.

With that, she grabbed hold of him and jumped upwards, onto the roof of the Matou mansion. Then, she began to look around, noticing several castles on the horizon. Rider, recalling Sakura's description, focussed on the largest of the castles. Rider only had a vague memory of the Einsbern castle, but what she was looking at did look familliar. And, it was big. Far bigger than was usually expected for a castle. Which fitted the Einsbern family perfectly. Most of all, though, she could sense some sort of magical spell, that seemed to be acting to prevent her seeing it.

"Shirou, is that it?" she asked, pointing her finger in the direction of the castle.

Shirou looked in the direction Rider was pointing, only to see.. nothing. He looked back at her, a confused look on his face.

"What? There's nothing there", he said, clearly confused.

Rider laughed. Evidentially the Einsbern magic was strong.

"Then that is definitely it. If you cannot even see it then the protections surrounding it must have been made by a powerful magus", she replied.

Then, picking up the phone, she addressed her master.

"Sakura, we found it, I think. I'll be there soon", she said.

Then, grabbing hold of Shirou, Rider began to jump along the rooftops towards the castle. Sakura, meanwhile, headed out of the room she had been in, trying to recall the location of the castle's front door, holding her phone to her ear. Rider approached the castle at lightning speed, carrying the still-confused Shirou.

"Rider, where are we going? There's nothing there", he said as they approached.

"Shirou, it's just hidden. Trust me, it's there", she replied.

Finally, as they neared the castle, the spell ceased to work, causing it to become visible to Shirou. He looked in shock as the castle suddenly appeared in front of him where an empty space had been before.

Seeing the look on his face, Rider smirked.

"See, told you", she said with a voice full of sass.

Walking towards the front door of the castle, Rider addressed her master once more.

"Sakura, how should I get in?" she said.

Sakura, meanwhile, was still walking towards the door, her ability to navigate the maze of corridors not sufficient to arrive before her much-faster servant.

"Hang on a minute, I'll let you in when I get to the door", she replied.

Rider approached the door, placing Shirou back down on the ground beside her, and waited. After a little wait, the door opened, and she saw the smiling face of her master.

“Rider!” Sakura exclaimed full of relief, excited to see her servant, alive and well. Well, for a given definition of alive anyway. She ran forward and embraced Shirou and Rider, pulling them into a group hug.

Shirou and Rider smiled with relief, returning the hug happily.

“Sakura, I’m so glad I found you again”, said Rider with a smile.

Shirou, meanwhile, simply returned the hug silently, too overjoyed at the fact that he had found her to reply.

“Yeah. Same to you”, Sakura said to Rider.

Rider smiled and continued to hug Sakura, as did Shirou, the three of them simply standing there, enjoying the affection. After a while, they finally broke the hug and began to talk again.

“Sakura, you said something about meeting Ilya’s mother”, Shirou asked.

“Mhmm, this is her castle, right?” Rider added.

“Yeah, her name is Irisviel, and she’s letting us stay here. You won’t believe how amazing the room is, Shirou. It’s out of this world”, Sakura said excitedly. “You won’t believe it until you see it.

Shirou smiled at her, but raised an eyebrow.

“Really? “Better than that hotel we stayed in for our honeymoon?” Shirou asked with a slight smirk, clearly expecting her to waver at his tease. However, the immediacy of Sakura’s response surprised him.

“Definitely!” She poked him jokingly, eliciting a smile from him. “I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m pretty sure she’s royalty. Or at least high nobility. And you shouldn’t underestimate your mother”, she said, poking him again.

“Well then”, Shirou responded in awe, surprised at his wife’s certainty and insistence. “Royalty huh? Then, lead the way, princess.” He gave Sakura an exaggerated bow, causing her to laugh.

“Yeah, Irisviel is probably waiting for us. We should go find her and introduce you two to her”, Sakura said.

Meanwhile, Rider had been standing back silently, internally laughing at Sakura and Shirou acting like they were newlyweds, even after all these years. Finally, she spoke up. “I’d like to meet this Irisviel too, Sakura.”

“Oh, Shirou”, she said with a smile, before turning to Rider and nodding. “Okay. But I’m not really sure I’ll be able to find her that easily. Well, let’s try anyway!” She finished cheerfully.

With that said, Sakura led Shirou and Rider down the halls, looking for Irisviel. As they walked, Sakura asked Rider the question that had been nagging her.

“Rider, our connection is very faint. I’m not sending you prana and I can barely feel your presence. Are you still connected to me?” she said.

Rider frowned, and looked down to the ground in embarrassment.

“Um... I—I met another version of you. She was so lonely, and so happy to see me, I couldn’t refuse to contract her, it would have broken her heart”, she responded with a strong hint of guilt.

Sakura blinked in confusion. “You what?” She asked.

Rider frowned again.

“I formed a contract with another version of you. That’s why the contract is broken, I think”, she replied.

“Wait wait wait. Can we, um, back it up? Another...me?”

Before Rider could say anything, Shirou spoke, backing her up.

“Yeah, a version of you from another world. She got pulled in here a few years ago. Unfortunately, though, her Shirou was left behind when she came”, he said, clearly saddened. “She’s… not the most stable person, and she was very lonely.”

“Yeah, I couldn’t turn her down, she was so lonely. It would have broken her heart if I did. Her Shirou is here now but, as Shirou said, she’s still rather unstable”, Rider added.

“Oh.” Sakura said simply, still processing the multitude of new information. “That’s—rather unfortunate.”

“It is, yes”, Rider responded, sadness in her visage. “I can’t abandon her right now. It would break her heart if I did”.

“Hm.” Sakura pondered this as she walked. “Well then, what do you think we should do about this situation? We have to leave, and you can’t leave, right?”

“I.. I’m not actually sure”, Rider said, thinking for a moment before continuing. “Hmm…. There is a version of Rin here, maybe she can help send the other Sakura and her Shirou back home. She has her own Rider there, I don’t need to go with her.”

“But how soon will she be able to get out? We can’t stay here forever, we have children at home. Maybe she can come with us?” Sakura replied.

Rider pondered the question for a moment, before responding.

“Hmm, perhaps, if we could bring her Shirou along as well then our world is as good as this one, maybe even better”, she replied, pausing for a moment to think before continuing. “She might object to leaving the other Rin here alone, though.”

Then, Shirou piped-up.

“She doesn’t like me either, right now. I had a bit of a… mix-up when I first arrived.”

“A mix up?” Sakura pushed him for more information.

“I.. I thought she was you. A..and…”, he said, trailing off with embarrassment.

“And..?” Sakura looked at him curiously, tilting her head, narrowing her eyes a bit

“I..I kissed her”, he said. “I’m so sorry, I thought she was you. I was so happy to see you again.”

“I see...”, Sakura said, walking up to him. She gave him a slap on the face. “That’s for cheating on me.”

After that she grabbed him in a hug and kissed him on the lips voraciously. “But I forgive you, don’t worry. You’re my Senpai, after all.”

Sakura’s face cracked and she began to laugh. “I haven’t called you that in ages, it feels so weird, hahaha!”

A nostalgic smile came over Shirou’s face as he returned his wife’s hug and kissed her passionately. He was so happy that he had found her again, and that he could stay with her for however long they might be stuck in this place.

Rider, meanwhile, simply watched on, also smiling. After some while, she finally spoke up.

“Shouldn’t we find this ‘Irisviel’? I don’t know how long it will be before the other Sakura calls me back”, she said.

“Yes, we should”, Sakura said, breaking off from the hug with obvious reluctance.

“Ummmmm...I think that she’s...this way?” she continued, choosing a random hallway. “Probably”, she added, under her breath.

They walked off down the corridor, chatting happily to one another until, after a while, Rider heard some voices in the distance.

“I hear someone over there”, she said, pointing in the direction of the voices she had heard.

Trusting her servant’s instincts, Sakura headed in the indicated direction, asking Rider for further directions at each turn. After a little while, she saw the woman she was looking for, standing over a man lying in a pool of what looked like was his own blood and arguing with the woman whom Togan had brought to the castle, apparently over whether she could go out or not.

Sakura looked at the sight with horror, worried about the man's situation. However, aware that there was nothing she could do, and that Irisviel was a healer, she held back and took a closer look. The man appeared to be stable, at least, it seemed like there was no need for them to do anything.

Shirou, of course, was not so willing to hold back.

"We have to help him!" he said, the sight of the hurt man causing him to pay little attention to the woman who looked like a grown-up version of his sister.

"Shirou, it's fine, Irisviel is a healer. And he seems to have been stablised already", Sakura said in response, holding him back.

The priest was damn fast, and she was in disadvantageous position. No time to get out of the way of his chop. All she could do to reflexively transform as fast possible. Her skin began to cover with scales more durable than her human ski, but would she manage before the robed men struck her?

Saber

Saber's eyes lit up at the Double Decker Burger she had ordered.  It even came on a pretzel bun and looked heavenly complete with fries and a root beer.  It had all the trimmings: crisp, green lettuce, slices of red, ripe tomato, aromatic pickle spears, and deep plum colored onions.  She rubbed her hands together as it was laid before her before reaching to grab the bottle of catusp beside her.

"The thing that bothers me is that normal people are defenseless against his influence.  He can even negate my charisma, and that is not an easy feat, but what I am afraid of is there are people who I care about who would be targeted in his mania.  People who I do not want to see hurt," Saber said before taking a bite and sighing.

Mordred

Huh, she didn't seem that charismatic for Mordred. A revived king or not, she talked with more like with a peer, rather than a person of higher authority. She was just a girl like her. Serious one, but she didn't feel awkward talking with her despite the troubling physical resemblance between them. Yeah, she had to admit, she liked her already. Maybe they could go hang out once this clusterfuck ended, after all they were more pressing things to deal with.

"Damn, that's a bummer, maybe making them angry at him with my 'contracts of Summer' won't work after all." There was nothing more karmic than a tyrant like that killed by those who followed him.

"Do you have some ace in the sleeve, Arthuria? You're a legendary king, surely you have something that let you prevail against all odds." She knew details of her myth. Her legendary sword and its sheath where famous among mortals and Changelings alike. Though, obviously myths didn't say anything about her being a girl like her. She wouldn't be surprised if she had something that didn't match anything she heard about.

Vanguard

“Very well, I understand.” Vanguard said calmly, nodding before standing tall once more.

“I will explain the details when we reach destination. Then, you can decide whether you will aid me or not. However, know this: If you were to help me, I will make sure to make it worth your while. For the meanwhile, you can be certain I will help and serve in any way I can. Is that favorable with your wishes?”

Tohuw Balagan

As Tohuw and his glorious pink flying limousine took flight and approached the skyscraper, that filthy tower of babel crowned with the abhorrent jewel of light, something caught his attention. As he looked down at the city with a jaded look, sipping his crystal glass of orange juice, he noticed an interesting place. Not a convenience store, no. Better.

With a snap of his toes, the vehicle stopped and exploded into confetti. Holding onto his parasol, the daemon prince descended gracefully with a joyful grin. Destination? Well, more like a small detour to an ominous castle. He could feel dark forces swirling within, something lurked. Something strong, very strong was inside. Perhaps he could be of service. Besides, there were probably cleaning tools he could take inside its domain to rid himself of the littering vermin.

So he phased through the roof with a fabulous pose, shard of glass surrounding him and sparkling with magnificence.
“Oh?”

Funny. How funny that of all the possibilities, he would end up facing that man? A dejavu, no, simply an unfortunate encounter. After all, they had never met. However, she had. Tohuw had seen glimpses of that man’s power… and temper. He would prove quite useful.

With that, the prince bowed before the armored man.

“Pardon me for intruding, you must be the patron of this house, correct. Correct?”

Sepulchure

Sepulchure looked over the man from earlier, no, this wasn't him. He was most definitely not a man at all. He was a creature born of darkness, a demon. For him to appear at such a time...maybe he had similar motives. Maybe he could be controlled. He was clearly a shapeshifter, a useful ability.

“You are correct.” Sepulchure said laconically with a nod. “Is it possible that you’re going to attack the light as well? I’d rather not go through formalities now, and I have very little patience for something like this.” He warned the man. “And I expect you feel similarly.”

Victoria Ashworth

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo glared at Victoria with eyes full of death. Then, he simply stomped once with all his strength, sending the car jumping. A small hole was caved in where Kenzo's foot now resided.

"I said, there will be no killing. Undestood?"
The man in the front seat seemed to have quite the temper, and an extreme aversion to violence. That was an odd pair, usually the easily angered ones tended to be far more violent and ready to kill. That did not, however, change my stance on the matter. "I do not believe you can stop me. You need not participate but I assure you, the man responsible for this will die. Either by my hand or another's," I finished, glaring him down as he continued to glare me down. I had put up with intimidation from people with far more power and willingness to murder than this naive man, and the lack of his willingness to kill made any statement he made very hollow in my eyes. Without Logic or Power to back up his statements, his objections were merely the braying of a naive mule who did not understand how the world worked.

When Forest began speaking, I returned my gaze to her, and listened to her speak.

Forest

She pointed to Victoria and said, "No, we're not brainwashing people into being our bloody puppets.  They inspect out of their own free will or we find someone else.  We're not forcing ourselves on anyone like that."

She seemed to be against the thought of controlling humans, which was odd. Humans in general were simply food and resources for the supernatural to use to their advantage. Perhaps she did not realize that? Deciding to make one last clarification before dropping it, after all I still owed her a debt of gratitude so it was only polite to respect her wishes, I said, "It is not really brainwashing, as much as my taking over their body fully and appropriating it for myself, much like a ghost would possess a person. However, if this is distasteful to you then I will refrain from doing so in this instance. Though, I truly do not understand the fuss, after all, humans do not themselves treat their food like it is an equal, so why should we?"

Forest

Forest yelped and then her eyes went wide at the hole in her floor.  "Fucking hell, my poor car!  Did you . . . we could have wrecked or worse!  Kenzo, and now there's a hole in my car!"

As expected, she seemed rather unhappy that Kenzo had damaged her car, however she seemed a bit preoccupied with it so I decided to make a recommendation for the safety of everyone in the vehicle, "I do realize that this is a bit of a big deal, but I recommend focusing on driving as the car will likely end up with worse damage if not."

With my piece said, I sat back and hoped that Forest would return her attention to the road before we crashed.

Valerie Arkwright

Well, this is definitely not good, I thought to myself. My body is being subjected to the Burn, and I am hurtling through a crack in the Umbra, probably towards a paradox realm. At least the burn was mostly healing, though I was getting a bit hungry as a result. What I was most worried about was where I would end up. I had really fucked up that last minute prime shield, and in front of witnesses too, so I was likely headed toward a Prime realm. Hopefully I could escape before I either died or went insane from Quiet.

After flying through un-space for an undetermined period of time, the surroundings quickly changed, as what was above me was sky, and I could feel the weight of gravity once more. However, before I could react properly, I hit the ground, kicking up dirt as I slid on the ground as I impacted at an angle.I could feel my ribs on my back crack, the pain shooting though my nerves before quickly going away as my body healed it along with the last of the burn, though my skin was still smoldering a bit.

I then stood up, and took note of my surroundings. I appeared to be in a yard somewhere, with rubble all around. And inside that rubble appeared to be a skirmish of some kind, with a man in priest robes and brown hair controlling some sort of black tendrils attacking a girl with red hair. It seemed like he might be able to kill her, so given the satanic looking tentacles I decided to help the girl. Taking my stance, I threw a punch in their direction, using it to force my will upon the world, and form some of the quintessence I had in my pattern into an arrow-like projectile that flew at the priest at high speeds. Whether the priest dodged it or got hit by it, it would likely leave an opening for the girl to escape. I then prepared myself for combat, enduring the pain as I caused my bones to grow through my skin on my various striking areas, and energized them with Quintessence before making my way towards the skirmish.

Hyoudo Tenma

"Eh, no need for that, yet." She replied to Shinobu with a confident smile.

Suddenly, Tenma grinned toothily as her creation exploded mightily. She had seen it, all of it! And it seemed her strategy was the winning jackpot after all. WIth that, she burst into mad laughter, rejoicing over another victory for SCIENCE! Soon, she'd find that asshole and kick his ass and make him pay for damaging his creations. Not only that, but by doing that, she would prove her dominance and assert it! No one would stand in her way again!

"Yesss! Bwahahahaha, we are invincible! I am invincible! It has been proven that my science is the grrrrreatest in the world! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!  Now it has been proven that I am INVINCIBLE! UNMATCHED! Puny humans, I WILL RULE YOU ALL! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!" She roared before striking a glamorous pose.

Crickets and dead silence followed. So this is how hearts died. Not with a bang but with a chirr. Looking down in disappointment, she spoke up lowly.

"Erm, march forward numbah two! Carve our path to victory!"

With that, another CAT looked up, its visor glowing bright green as it spoke up.

"Okie!" Said the robot cheerfully before chattering its teeth and walking towards certain death.

"Let's follow him this time, okay?" Said Tenma. "Make sure to stay behind little George though."

Sakagami Kenzo

Kenzo was at his limit. Any more, any more and-

"Shut. Up." He ordered the girl. He couldn't take it anymore, he wouldn't take it anymore. His fist was now clenched, his muscles were tense. His body begged for release, their sole target being her face. But he tried, oh he tried to keep it cool. To calm down. He had to calm down.

"Forest, I'm sorry for that. I'll help you fix it after."

Shendu

She felt the pressure close in around her, and she barely paid mind to the sound of people running away. Shirou probably escaped. Papa would be safe.

“Ahhhhh” Mia let out a soft pained moan as her body was squeezed. Pressure from every angle, but it wasn’t enough to break her. Bones were broken for sure, her already snapped arm flared with pain, and her ribs seemed to creak.

But she could live though it. But, just for this meanie she would put up a convincing act.

And then he squeezed harder. And the scream she let loose was real, as it ripped though the silence, a horrifying and pained screamer.

Her other arm began to crack, fractures began to spread though her hip, and any ribs that were not already broken snapped like a twig. All the while the pain compounded as the more pressure was put on those spots. The bones broke more, and the pain grew even more. And again, and again. With each thing breaking the pain compounded. Until it was no longer bearable.

Her eyes drooped. And the tension leave her body. And then, her grip around Silver loosened allowing the blade to be freed and fall though the Dragon’s body, making a cut as it went.

But in its grasp, Mia went limp, apparently unconscious.

Shendu graciously allowed the whelps to escape. He would have other chances to make them pay, and he cared little for their fate at this time. He turned to look at the one that did in fact demand his attention. The interesting, dangerous one.

The blade fell out of her hand and cut down his tight as her face contorted in pain and her body went limp. Growling out of balance for a moment, he stopped squeezing and let the wound heal before laying his foot back on the ground. He felt his nostrils grow hot again, and glared at the girl. Oh, but she was deceivingly docile with her bones ground to pieces in his grasp and her body still. That was something to remember, but he was sure they would not need such crudeness to handle her once they were in more... favorable circumstances.

The demon sorcerer let out a breath of black smoke and surveyed the skies. The show was over, and it was time for his vanishing act.

Carrying the prize that had boiled his mood and shredded his body, Shendu carefully picked up the fallen blade and vanished from sight with the broken wraith-child.

Invisible, he shot through the sky in the direction of his lair, the wheezing of the air the only indicator of this passage.

Aisha

The brown haired woman did not do so much as widen her eyes as the sky turned a bright white. It was irritating but nothing to worry about. The half Child was of more interest to her anyways. Now the sounds that escaped her lips were errant winds. The whispering of reeds in the breeze. “Why won’t you tell me? I will not judge you for anything you think or have done.”

Ghost Child

The spirit ceased his demands and began to calmly float around again. With a few strands of Essence he weaved phantoms to act out the story on stage. Despite the rotting nature of the phantoms they did a rather adequate job of performing the story to the ghost’s expectation. Under the power of the area the images flickered and threatened to vanish every so often but Ghost Child paid it no attention.

Caedia

The Arisen had managed to make some distance between herself and the building. Once she had Caedia found herself lost and wary. The night was incredibly stressful as she strained her ears to hear the movement of the undead or the hissing of a chimera. She was unsure of how dangerous this city actually was but it was strange and any adventurer of worth knew better than to assume the night was safe.

When the night sky changed into a bright white she suppressed the fear that the Seneschal of this world had gone mad and wished to end it all. A few moments later as white flakes descended from the heavens Caedia relaxed quite a bit. There was no way that this was the destruction of the Seneschal and the light helped make the night infinitely more bearable. There was no need to double check every shadow for something lurking within. It was almost calming really.

Was this a good omen? When she slew the dragon the sky had turned dark and the world had been infested with terrible beasts. The Everfall grew and swallowed the center of Gran Soren and the treacherous slug of man that was the Duke had attempted to have her killed. But perhaps things were going to be alright. With one of the spires of light in sight she resolved herself to at least figure out what this was. Despite how good it seemed she was more than familiar with the pain of making assumptions.

It took her a bit but the looter had finally made her way to one of the pillars. There seemed to be some natural protection de to being surrounded by a few outrageously tall buildings but there was a simple metal fence on one other side. It looked empty but it seemed odd that one would just set whatever this thing was up and just leave it. Regardless she climbed over it with ease and moved in front of the fountain from where a pendant floated and the light emerged from.

Caedia twitched just a bit. The floating pendant practically screamed trapped or cursed from its position but that only made it more desirable. She repressed the urge to simply take it along with the black rectangle she had before and instead simply sat down. It had been a long day and she was beginning to get hungry. Instead of stealing she simply sat down and began to satisfy another urge. With an almost reverent hold she took out one of the few pieces of dried ambrosial meat she had left and sat down on the ground. A meal said to send even gourmands into fits of rapture. With a look of pure bliss she started to eat. When she was done she would decide what to do next.

Shinobu

Shinobu just stared as Tenma went on about how invincible she was.

"This blade is here to cut up the guy who's gonna sneak up on you when you're celebrating your victory" Shinobu said with a smirk while starting to move towards the scientist.

"Oh and didn't one of your toys just get destroyed?, I thought I heard an explosion in the distance" she asked.

She stopped walking now having reached her target. She leanead forward and whispered "I'd recommend you stop fooling around unless you feel like having your blood drained, I'm getting pretty thirsty here~"

Sakagami Kenzo

My, the barbarian had no way to control his temper, as it seemed like he was ready to lash out any second. Deciding to activate Illuminate on my body, making electricity crackle on my skin telling of the obvious danger of touching me. Now with physical violence strongly discouraged, I began to speak. "Do you really think your orders mean anything to me, Kenzo? You do not even try to make a logical argument, and its obvious that you are not willing to make good enough on your threats to phase me. Pain is nothing to me, and I have been threatened so often that it no longer even phases me. So all you seem to be doing is braying like a mule without even trying to argue against me, expecting that just because you do not like something means others have to go along with you, and you even threaten people with violence when you do not get your way," I said, giving him a condescending stare.

"So unless you can you can offer a better argument than 'because I said so' or 'I will hurt you if you don't' I see no reason for me to even consider what you are saying, and any further attempt to argue the same way will just make you look foolish," I finished, letting him know exactly where I stood on this issue. He had already made himself look like a brute who would beat someone up if they did not agree with him, and he would likely continue to reinforce that opinion I had of him. After all, it was obvious to me that he was not only a fool, but a total moron who did not deserve my respect in the slightest. With that said, I simply waited in the back seat, taking internal bets on whether he would notice that if he carried through on his threats, he himself would be hurting quite badly as well, or if I would need to be healing my wounds.

Michael

As Rikuyo burst into motion in response to the spikes, Michael was also already moving. Having already dispatched the remaining corpses, Michael turned to see Rikuyo heading straight for some holy-man-looking guy. Running for them with all the speed he could muster, the immortal tried tossing a few more blasts directly at the priest as he advanced, the priest already readying a blow.

Then, out of nowhere, an arrow-like projectile flashed into view, heading straight for the priest.

The hell?

Michael didn't have the luxury of time, though, so he focused on the priest, firing off more blasts from his staff as he drew closer.

Tohuw Balagan

Tohuw smirked before sitting on a fluffy sofa. His aura was unlike that of before, no. THe moment he sat, a kingly presence emanated from him. It was like witnessing a god sitting on his mighty throne and looking, aimlessly, at the rubble before him that passed for a castle. Looking down like a child looks at ants, without a care or concern in the world.

"Not at all. I was simply attempting to shamelessly steal your wares like a brazen thief." He said with an absent smile, looking above to where the light resided. His smile was still unwavering, but it seemed to be directed more at himself than at the man before him or the situation at hand.

"Disgusting isn't it. To sully a beautiful night in such a manner, whoever caused this truly has no shame." He murmured to himself. Then, he chuckled and shook his head before turning to the armoured man.

"You are indeed right, there is no need for formalities. I assume the fact you have yet to cut me down means I can be of use, correct? Correct." He said, his gaze turning to towards the blade resting in the knight's hand slyly.
