Mordred

Yikes. The situation didn't look good. What if Breeze offended Sakura so much with what she did that she won't want to make up with her. Damn, she could have maybe prevented that if she sticked around. "I... really don't know what to do here. I could try to apologize on your behalf, but she's clearly so distraught that she won't listen."

Auspicious Breeze

So she couldn't make it up to her. There was nothing Breeze could do to make this situation better. She just had to... wait? And hope it got better? But what if it didn't get better?! The trembling came back again. Nobody had an answer for her to make things better! And she couldn't just punch the problem away!

She kept looking back and forth between the door to the dressing room and Oren and Mordred and the door out of this place and she just started backing away toward it like she wanted to run away. Because she did.

Forest

"Besides, it's pretty cute how you both think you can threaten me. I've already reached the bottom, its not like anything you'll do can hurt me. You're both just cattle, not even prey fit to be hunted. I've been playing along with you two because I was bored, but know your places. Ahh, or you could also do. Your. Worst."

So it's come down to violence again, hasn't it, Forest thought in the back of her mind.

She didn't bare her fangs or snarl back in challenge.  She didn't even quip.  Instead she centered herself and felt the red bleed from her eyes, leaving only indigo behind.

Blood could be cleaned with enough peroxide, but she didn't want to try Marcus three for three for resurrections.

She met the other vampire's eyes and then reached into Costin's mind.

She shielded herself and didn't focus on the other vampire's thoughts.

Instead she focused all of her power on one simple command into Costin's mind, focusing to override the bloodlust and madness there.

Sleep.

Sleep.

Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. SLEEP.

The vampire's eyes suddenly flared when she felt the sudden static in her head, as irritating as worms digging through her brains. A man did that  once to her, and then he'd pour molten metal in her eyeballs, drill through her bone marrow, sever her nerves, knot her blood vessels, prod her muscle tissue, twist the tooth canals, mix different chemicals in the stomach, drown, inject acid through the bloodstream...

oH, WHAt SweEt agOnY

Trying to tamper with a mind this violated might have been a good idea, but it was a dangerous game, like walking with a candle in a room filled with gunpowder. It wasn't that Forest's skills were inadequate, on the contrary. It was just that fighting brute force with brute force tends to cause some reactions to occur, especially when the victim is aware of her own mind being tampered with.

Besides, as if she'd be able to sleep peacefully. One might as well ask a fish to fly. If this was supposed to be a lullaby, it lacked screams and cries of anguish! This arrogance was enough to have her shoulders tremble with seething rage, and yet all she could do was cackle before she suddenly tried to grab the man by the throat to keep him still and exploded in a streak of crimson.

But somehow, she retained her humanoid shape, all that burst out from her body was her own blood, crystallized like steel and forming branches that would not fail to impale the poor man like a crimson tree decorated in guts and gore in a moment.

"Yes... please go to sleep." She said with the most innocent of smiles, turning to stare right at Forest's indigo eyes with her red predatory hue. There was no mistake, she was furious.

In comparison to her wolfish grins, this one looked far more simple, and far more terrifying. This wasn't something dealing in the realms of mortals or men, but a battle of monsters.

"No," he retorted simply, pushing the crazy girl's hand away.  Just as his hand touched her forearm, spikes made of blood extended from her body striking him in the torso and neck.  His eyes widened, filled with malice, or perhaps something else.  He reached out and attempted to grab Costin by the throat and slam her into the backseat of the car.  All the while, blood burst forth from his mouth and injures.  The wounds growing even larger as he slid down the thorns.

So, mind control wasn't an option.

Fine, Forest could deal even though Costin started sprouting blood spikes like some sanguine version of Marrow from the X-Men.  Just Marcus was ripping himself even more as he tried to grab for the other vampire.  Even if he was still copying Forest's regeneration . . .

Marcus, stop copying me and copy her!  She's got blood manipulation, advanced regeneration, super strength, and it looks like regeneration! Forest sent to Marcus as she reached under the driver's seat to grab the .44 revolver she had stashed there.  It might not be able to kill the vampire, but anything shot in the face save Superman would have a bad day.

Her opponent betrayed all expectations and drove himself deeper in her embrace, but somehow managed to slam her onto the car, deforming it along with her bloody face. Teeth clenched, claws grit against metal and the gloody spikes grew thicker and more voracious, as if to tear that man from the inside like a growing tree. An impaling beast of blood, whose eye shot back to her opponent as she smiled with a mad howling laughter that would make one's blood chill.

"Hah! Yes, that's it! That look, you're just like him! You think you got something up your sleeve, like no matter what there's no way you're gonna die!!" She cried out in ecstasy as she felt their bones grind.

But the blood wasn't just a crystallized liquid. It was her, an extension of her vampiric self as ghastly as it was lethal. The difference between him and her was as day and night, and the moon above shone upon her domain. She cackled as the spikes began to drain him, sucking his essence through their cracks as they spread further in his body like veins, strengthening her own body and reinvigorating her.

And with some struggle, she eventually broke off and rose with the boy still hanging over her branches, her fanged smile curling into absolute confidence while he grabbed him by the face. His body was weakening as it was slowly but surely drained of its life. Unless someone did something, even with a regeneration he'd be nothing but a husk.

And then her gaze turned to Forest, as if she urged the gunslinging vampire to try her.

Marcus

It was at this moment he realized something.  This spear running through her body: it was hers.  God thats annoying.  So her powers are similar to mine in that way, he thought.

"SCREW YOU!  Im not your shitty boyfriend or abusive father!" he screamed back at her.

Everything hurt.  From his chest to his abs to his neck, everything was in pain.  He held her down, waiting for Forest to deliver the bullets, but she was taking too long.  Somehow, the vampire was draining his strength and soon he found his face was in-between her hands, staring down her stupid grin.  But, two could play at this game.  Just as she took his strength, he grabbed onto hers, returning his body to its former glory, or rather  her former glory.

The aura around his hands sharpened, making makeshift claws.  With a lightning fast swipe, he attempted to decapitate her. With back pressed against the seat, he used his other hand to pierce her abdomen, sharpening this hand in the same way as before.

Grabbing the gun and fucking subtly, Forest kicked open the car door closest to Marcus and Costin.

Even with regeneration and super powers, everything was affected by physics.  Even if someone wouldn't get hurt from a bullet, there was still the force behind it, and the .44 had quite a lot of force.  So she lifted the gun and aimed it right at Costin's mass.

Hopefully she could blow the other vampire out of the car and then gun it, getting her and Marcus safely away while she called the Enforcers.

Taking aim, she pulled the trigger and the smell of brimstone, the roar of cannon fire, and muzzle flash filled the car.

The vampire was arrogant, cruel and insane, but she also had decades upon decades of combat experience. Something like this would hardly catch her offguard, the smell of gunpowder was as clear as the moonlight. The boy's movements as well, she read them and quickly parried his blows, but this was a major pain.

One opponent was fine, but two against one was cheating! That little shit, distracting her while she got up to her and shot her. Even she couldn't parry two opponents at once, so the bullet tore right through her and launched her out of the car, or rather she leapt out of the car as soon as she was hit, releasing the boy from her grip but not without taking a shot through the ribcage that sent her onto the ground like a lifeless ragdoll.

Marcus sighed and muttered, "Godamn it.  I shouldn't have waited for her to attack."  There wasn't much he could do at this point other than wait for his wounds to recover.  If Forest did manage to escape, he would be cut off from his healing source.  But even in that case, he could use Forest instead.

"Hold on and shut the door, if it shuts," Forest said as she slid back into the driver's seat.

She then turned on the engine, revving it up in preparation to get the hell away from this bitch.  She did make a note of where they were located so she could call the Enforcers with a tip.

The knight gave a dismissive snort at Anastasia's explanation. "I do not think that any creature that can be slain permanently by sheer brute force can even attempt to qualify as a god. And I have yet to see and doubt I will ever see something besides Chaos that will provide even the slightest challenge to Stribog."

Oren

Oren watched Breeze's movements with a careful eye. How best to approach this...? She wasn't sure. Breeze was pretty weird, and coming from Oren that really meant you could be something strange at times. In another world she was quite sure that picking at those little and big issues would probably fill up her schedule, but that wasn't the kind of Oren that she was right now.

So she crouched down and narrowed her eyes. "Are you a coward, Breeze? Are you going to run away from her-- from us? Would you have even thought about it if it was her instead? Even if she didn't have an answer? C'mere and calm down."

She wiggled her wounded arm and giggled. "Or I might have to eat this arm after all!" Oops, there it was bleeding again. Probably shouldn't have done that.

After the oni left, the two worked hard in order to clean up and make sure everything was tidy. While it felt weird to have a customer and guest do so much to help him, he could hardly stop her. Whenever he tried to object, she gave him the sort of look that would make demons cower. No wonder she was such a great monk.

Well, despite the nagging, he couldn't say he disliked it. In fact, he welcomed the company and already considered her a friend. Even if he was easy enough to get along with, it was only ironic that a monk and a demon would strike such a friendship.

So as a friend, it was only fair he'd do something to repay her for the help. Money was tight, but he decided to spend the rest of the night showing her around. Who knows, maybe they could go sight seeing or something. It wasn't much, but he'd always repay a debt.

Thus the two walked together, arm in arm, and simply enjoyed what the city had to offer. He could tell her distaste for the urban mish-mash that was the city, but he really wanted to show her even that could be loved. He'd show her the best things the city had to offer, likely at his own expense, but he didn't mind. No, rather, he felt he had to do this, like he'd be utter garbage if he couldn't do at least this much.

That and he found her quite cute. He wanted to see her smile.

The pale moon glared down upon them. Either way, they would be tested tonight, its chilling brillance in the pitch black night was an omen to that.

The maid observed him with a cautious look. There was something strange, very strange. She felt an attraction. No. An adoration, as if she genuinely wanted to serve him. That was ridiculous. She shook her head and straitened her clothed, not that it would help much. She still look like she had been ravaged, savagely taken against her will. Was that what an outsider might think? Most likely, nut she didn't give a shit about that. What mattered was him. Him and only him.

Yet she remained quiet, unsure of how to procede. Maybe she was a bit afraid too, of this strange emotion that was gnawing at her. So she remained quiet and waited for him to speak.

The dead apostle could hear the engine roar. One second, two seconds, three seconds and they were gone.

"Talk about dissappointment..." She suddenly noted at the dull ache in her heart, looking at her now completely healed bullet-wound with eyes pregnant with rapture. It felt so empty when it didn't have something ramming and thrusting into it, so much she couldn't help but ache all over. She hadn't had so much fun in a loong while, but she needed more, so much more!

With that out of the way, she groaned and got up nonchalantly, bloody trees pulsating on her back like a voracious plant. She was rubbing her temple in annoyance like something had just spoiled her mood. She had totally given them an opening, and this was the best they could do? Man, what a pain! That coward didn't even have the proper decency to run her over, it was really like she wasn't taking this seriously.

Luckily, that boy more than made up for it, just the thought of that glare he gave her was enough to make her blood boil.

She felt so nice in fact that she let them have a 10 second head start, more than enough to let them ready whatever weapons they'd unleash on her. She'd let them show off, she always did. No, she knew it better than anyone, there was no way the two would have survived if she wasn't in such a great mood in the first place. Like a hunter savoring every moment, letting her prey scamper, struggle, resist, bite back. She'd welcome all opposition with open arms, it just made their cries all the sweeter.

"Seven... eight.... nine... and your time is up." The predator purred solemnly  as her claws sharpened and her powerful legs gave chase, their smell imprinted into her psyche as the one thing linking the beast to its prey. She'd let them run, tail between her legs, and just let them show off their punches. If they were going to entertain her she might as well be polite about it!
