Then she looked back to the werewolf and said, "Come in then, we can go somewhere private and then I can make my decision if I need to Old Yeller you or not.  Where I come from, werewolves are . . . well, the Old Yeller analogy is a good one."

Dan felt a shiver of fear at that bit. "Old Yeller me? Take me out back behind the shed and put both barrels in the old dog's brain?" He brushed past the shorter vampire, trying to maintain his composure the best he could. The wolf growled a little at even this slight contact, so close to the full moon. "I deal with enough bullshit from wizards trying to pull a fast one on me with gobbledygook that being even that straightforward about the chance you could kill me is god damn refreshing. At least give me a blindfold and a last smoke or whatever first, Miss. I'm not exactly afraid of dying, it's just that it's a state I'd rather avoid if at all possible. Oh, and thank you, very much, for just spouting to the world my big secret. Which was what I wanted to keep private."

Dan sighed, slouching a little. For a moment, he looked more like a man resigned to his fate at the gallows, than one given at least a chance at life. "Then again they would have figured it out in time. So fair enough, but please, please, try to keep it on the lowdown, or downlow, or whatever the hell it's called now."

"I will take you up on that offer then, Forest, but do not bother preparing a bed for me."

With a polite clap of his hands and a slight lean, Karna waited with patience for the vampire's next more.

Delighted on the inside that Gabriel did not even take time to cover himself, La Folia took his side and followed him to the bathroom.

Location: Forest's Compound

"I have a clinic here," Henry replied to her offer and then continued with a frown, "But, I'm staying until we figure out what to do with Sleeping Beauty. We'll have to deal with her after this guy here."

Then said guy had to complain about personal secrecy and what not after talking about being appreciative of Forest's bluntness. It caused him to smirk a little at his predicament.

Henry began with a pat on the guy's back "Being a werewolf isn't really something to keep a secret about in these parts. Don't worry too much about it. Just try not to lose it."

With that, the doctor walked inside to follow Forest. But then he stopped to add in one more thing before moving on.

"Just a tip, you're going to want to do a better job covering up that B.O. You're basically pasting a sign on your forehead."

Once again, as he walked out towards the car, Law was struck with the urge to give Mordred a pat on the head. "I'm seriously hoping I do."

"Did I say something funny, Law?" Mordred felt Law was behaving strange, though she could not tell what he had in his mind.

Forest nodded at Henry and said, "Thank you.  Problem is I have a close . . . acquaintance who's Faerie Nobility and she has a habit of dropping in whenever she bloody feels like it."

Then she looked at Karna and said, "Well, I'm going to take the man who needs my help somewhere private so feel free to look around everywhere except the lowest level."

"Come on then, and I wouldn't use a shot gun.  I prefer magnums,"  then she grinned to let him know that she was kidding.  Again, she reached up and scratched her head then the back of her neck, mumbling, "Stupid garlic."

Gabriel led her to his private bathroom.  It wasn't quite as elaborate as his godmother's but it was pretty lavish all the same.  It was decorated in tasteful teals and greens with a shower stall, a large mirror, toilet, and whirlpool tub.  "Tada," he said with a flourish as he turned the light on.

With a polite nod, Karna bent forward slightly as to not bump the roosting firebird into the doorframe and walked past the tall vampire, entering the compound. Truth be told he was both somewhat hungry and thirsty. The urge for nutrition was still something new to him, not something he experienced in his time as a Deva, but it was not necessarily a bad thing.

"Vampire, I require directions to the kitchen", his piercing stare indicating the bespectacled man.

A small sigh of wonder escaped La Folia as she looked around the plainly-colored bathroom. It was something simple, but simple isn't necessarily bad either.

"I'm in the mood for a proper bath. What do you say, Gabriel?"

Walking slowly towards the whirlpool tub with a slightly sway, dropping the blanket in a laundry basket along the wall, she bended over at the waist to turn the water on at a level that wasn't quite scalding but still very hot, her delectably round rear, marred by the red marks of Gabriel's palms, pointing into the air. The princess might've just done it deliberately, waiting for the water to get to a level that could be entered, but gave no indication that that was actually the case.

"Fine. Let's get down to business then, shall we?" Dan said, following the vampire down into the basement. "I'm Dan by the way, and as you apparently smelled, I'm a werewolf, though not by choice. I didn't catch your name by the way." It was getting close to the apex of the full moon. Close, but not there yet. There was still some time, but wasting it wasn't a good idea.

"Do you have anything that could hold a rampaging five foot tall giant wolf in check for at least an hour? Oh, and this wolf can probably get through some really, REALLY thick chains."

Forest nodded at Henry and said, "Thank you.  Problem is I have a close . . . acquaintance who's Faerie Nobility and she has a habit of dropping in whenever she bloody feels like it."

The doctor allowed a brow to flit up at her statement. A fairy noble as a friend? Interesting. The ones he met were usually the whimsical sort like the one Forest was suggesting. Though one of nobility establishing friendship with a vampire? Now that is rare.

"I'll keep that in mind," Henry nodded in reply as he finally was inside.

As both the werewolf and vampire were to descend downstairs, the doctor was about to make his way back up. There was still that girl he had to watch over. Who knows when she'll ever wake up? It would be great to disarm her to prevent any problems. But--

"Vampire, I require directions to the kitchen", his piercing stare indicating the bespectacled man.

He looked back at the demi-god with a confused look at first. Then realized he might be hungry. Yet, to imagine such a guy, even a demi-god, to be in a kitchen felt rather out of place. However, Henry gestured him to follow instead and then headed over to where the kitchen would be, a place he had passed through in his hurry to head to the compound's entrance.

"You can cook?"

"Naturally. My little brother was the greatest chef in the lands, but I exceeded my brothers in every talent they possessed", spoke the pale-faced yet dark skinned man.

"Of course, I have never actually tried cooking, much less with modern cooking utensils."

Though less confident than what his tone of voice would betray, it was but a fact for the demigod that he could not be defeated, even when faced by the sheer terror of basic culinary arts.

Forest raised her left eyebrow and said, "I'm Forest."

"You . . . smell odd.  Different than even the other werewolves that I've encountered here that weren't from home," she replied, "And you coughed blood earlier.  Lung problems generally aren't something werewolves are bothered by.  Yes though, I have a place that no one can escape except one guy who's upstairs."

Gabriel enjoyed the view and began to get some bath salts to put into the tub.  He replied, "Soaking would be good too.  Help with the soreness."

"Well if you say so," Henry shrugged at Karna's assurance.

He was still skeptical of it regardless. But he isn't complaining. It might still be a worthwhile sight.

"So what are you making?"

"I'm not surprised by that" the alchemist stated, sitting down in a chair within Forest's office. "As for the blood, Lung cancer is a bitch. And the reason I'm a werewolf. See, I'm an alchemist. So I thought I could make a potion, to well, cure it. Turns out it didn't, and gave me this furry little problem this time of the month."

Dan sighed. "No idea how to get rid of either now, but the potion seems to be keeping me alive. And still changing, despite modifications to the formula specifically to prevent that."

He did however, break out in a smile as soon as he heard the news, of a room even his... other side.... couldn't escape from.

"So, you're like Walter White with magic and werewolves instead of meth and the Mexican Cartel," Forest said with a frown.

Then she bit the inside of her cheek and asked, "Did you think about becoming a vampire?"

"I've been called that once or twice. Not too surprised you jumped to that." Dan shrugged. "I'd prefer a Mexican cartel. Maybe they'd be a little easier to deal with than wizards."

He shook his head at Forest's second question. "No. That'd make me have Lung cancer forever, wouldn't it? I'm trying to cure it, not just make it irrelevant. The werewolf thing too now that I've got it. I've made some progress I think... anyway, right. You really think this room can hold me?"

Knowledge of the modern kitchen and appropriate ingredients started to fill his mind as Karna began absorbing information on appropriate dishes.

Then Karna began moving at speeds exceeding sound around the vast kitchen desk, heating what had to be heated with his own flames, seemingly mortaring herbs at the same as he heated and flattened a paratha against the side of a large pot, then frying a massive pan of rice, even having it leap up and down on the stainless black plate as he added lentils and the crushed herbs, while also shaping, filling and heating shut a batch of Samosa's. What the vampire witnessed was not a single man, but a one-man team of master  chefs working so fast that the sounds emitted from the cooking process couldn't even keep up. In mere minutes, having loopholed through any process that required warmth and patience with the use of the natural heat and fire of his body, Karna had prepared a small feast that would no doubt feed the entire building's inhabitants, no matter their number. All while the fiery bird had not left his head even once. It made for a gallant companion in his quest in the arts of the culinary variety.

"Khichdi", indicating the yellowed rice covered in lentils, "Paratha", then pointing at the stack of round disks of cooked dough, "and finally, Samosa", indicating the fried triangles, filled with minced potatoes, bell peppers and lentils.

"Please, help yourself, Henry."

"Oh, I do agree. There's nothing quite like a hot bath after a long day of exercise", came from the white-headed princess as she took her full height again, waiting impatiently for the badwater.
