Zolgen smirked, “why shouldn’t you try and kill me? Well mainly because this is simply a construct, it would be a waste of effort.”

He chuckled a bit before continuing, “As for how I know about the Grail War and Servants? Well, it is because I helped create the grail itself, and it was I who created the system which summoned heroic spirits as servants and bound them to a master.”

His smirk dropped and he looked at Law, “Truly though, you were simply a passing interest with your odd spiritual presence. But imagine my surprise when you summoned a servant, especially since there is no grail functioning in this city.”

“Now boy, would you lower your weapon? You as well servant of the sword, the hostility is unneeded. I wish no harm upon your master, only answers. It has been a long time since my interest has been peaked like this."

"Only answers? You turn up here without invitation, delay us in our travel." pointed out Mordred, withdrawing her sword a bit, but still ready in case something happened "We should too ask questions. Answer honestly, do you know about any other Servants being here? I don't think it's coincidence I was summoned here, even if there is no Holy Grail here as you claim"

Ellen

She listened patiently. She did not know what happened, but she realized that was certainly something beyond her abilities. One thing was clear to her though: Ellen did not like that Frost guy for his attitude, but kept her mouth shout.

"Dat's cool." Neo then tapped on the wheelchair-bound woman's palm in the manner of "giving someone the five", instead of the handshake she seemingly intended. "Ain't got no fuckin' beef with you now, 'right?"

Mildly surprised by the man using a different gesture than she had expected, Fiore replied.

"Of course this puts us even. I will not hold grudges against someone who isn't a bad person", came from her in a cheerful voice. At worst, Fiore could see him as merely misunderstood, whether his attitude was deliberate or not.

"But tell me," he said to her. "How come yo' here all by your damn self? I mean, look at your sexy ass. I'm pretty sure yo' ain't gonna make it here alone, even with your ride. And you have your stuff and shit with you, too. If mah hunch is fucking right, somebody just left you in this shithole, babe. Them all other peepz keep fuckin' tellin' me you're not supposed to leave cripples behind or else something will happen to them and then they'll just croak or somethin'. If people know that shit, then who's the asshole who left ya' here all alone?"

Though still a tiny bit put off again by his rather oncoming language, Fiore had the dignity of a noblewoman and couldn't be shaken by just this. Though just to be sure, she left the subject of her sudden appearance in the city unmentioned.

"Well, to be honest I did go out at this time of my own volition. My little brother wasn't, uh, coming home at the time he was expected to and so I went to look for him. Unfortunately, I'm about as lost as he is, it seems."

"And I am quite capable of defending myself, despite appearances, thank you very much."

The leather jacket blonde then turned to the black-haired girl and asked, while pointing at the blue-haired man with his thumb. "Hey dyke, you have any fuckin' idea who the shit is this faggot?"

"Eh?"

Following his finger, Fiore found him pointing in the direction of a peculiar blue-haired man. His features were feral, almost like those of a fierce guard dog, with eyes red as rubies and his hair tied into a lengthy pony tail. Though no doubt handsome, he also looked somewhat frightening in his current lighting, not helping that he had a slight aura about him that felt like that of some kind of superhuman.

Regardless, of her initial impressions of the man, she felt that talking to him would be in her best interest.

"u-uhm, good evening. You don't have to just stand there and watch, please do come over", said the brunette with a shining smile on her face.

So he's not here in person. Clever. Still seems living, even to us.

Law had to admit, this wizard was a cut above what he'd expected. "Well, I'm not sure how I summoned her either, so we're both in the dark on that one." The gun lowered a little bit, the hammer still pulled back, but Law's finger had left the trigger. "I don't know how I can answer any of your questions when I don't know anything myself though. And you still need to answer Mordred's questions." Law said.

Looking at Mordred, Lawrence sighed. "Do you think we can trust him for the moment? I'm tougher than I look you know."

"Okay, it is not that he can reach you faster than I can react. I will have my eye upon him, but I guess we do not need to be on guard too much" stated Mordred, dematerializing her sword for time being.

“I have not detected the summoning of other servants. Servants do exist in this place, but they were not summoned here directly, they simply arrived like others.” He replied to Mordred’s questions without looking at her, focusing on Law.

“Well, I have hypothesis at the moment exactly how you summoned her. But I am also interested about how exactly she is being maintained. I detect no prana in you at all. Rather peculiar.”

Amelia Tanner

“No I don’t know him.” She then looked that dick, “And call me Amy, not dike. You dick.”

She looked back to the new arrival. There was this odd feeling around him, wild and powerful. She put her hand in her satchel, prepared to bring out her children if necessary.

"Throw that theory at me. It's not like I don't have all night." Law said. The pistol was finally decocked, slipped back into his coat pocket. "And can't she maintain herself? Ghosts usually do that."

Zolgen

Zolgen looked at the boy in front of him, “Well, I suppose I can give you a lesson.”

“The theory involves the nature of this city. Namely the command seals that were supposed to be bound to an alternate version of you who completed in a grail war was somehow drawn into the nexus and bound to the one they were intended for.” Zolgen spoke in a flat tone, “There are other theories but I do not have enough information to even consider them at the moment.”

“And you seem to be misunderstanding something. Servants are spiritual entities yes, but calling them Ghosts is inaccurate. They are spiritual familiars with an ether body which is constructed around a spiritual core. “

Zolgen paused for a moment before continuing. “The purpose of the Master is to serve as an anchor to the world, allowing them to exist, and with the energy supplied the servant is able to fight off corrective impulses of the world itself and maintain its existence. Some servants are more capable of maintaining themselves without a master though, which is a skill called ‘Independent Action’, however in that case they still require magical energy to allow themselves to fight, and so losing a master will cripple their offensive capabilities and normally prevent use of the Noble Phantasm or magical abilities they might possess.”

“In other words, without prana the servant will lose their power and fade with time. Their existence slowly eaten away till their body and spiritual core are degraded and removed from reality. Normally they would return to the grail at that point, but I have no idea what would happen with no grail in this city.” He chuckled a bit, “My, that would currently be interesting to see.”

That was surely a long winded talk. Mordred fought herself not to show signs of boredom. But when the man reached the part when he mentioned she should fade over time without support of magical energy, it piqued her interest:  "It looks like I actually don't spend much energy in his presence. Hey, maybe that's abnormal about him? Because it seems as long as I don't use my Noble Phantasm I can go almost forever without extra prana''

Blah blah blah blah can't you just shoot him please. For catharsis if nothing else.

'Shut up.'

"So, what are noble phantasms?" Law asked. "Some sort of... spiritual power? And how would I supply Mordred with Prawns or whatever if I needed to? You said I'm not currently.

"Noble Phantasms are the manifestation of a Heroic Spirit's legend. Very simply they are their trump card, their ultimate ability, and something crucial to their identity, examples include King Arther's Excalibur or Siegfried's invulnerable body. They can be a weapon, trait of their body, ability, or just about anything. But whatever they are their power is great."

Zolgen smirked, "If you want to learn how to supply prana, well, we can make a deal and I will give you the information of how to do so, as well as the means. All I request is that you allow me to examine the connection between the two of you, as well as your unique spiritual nature. And don't worry, I will do nothing to harm you."

"A completely binding magical contract, how does that sound?"

--------------------------

Tokiomi

Her eyes unable to leave the blade, Rin nodded. "I do recognize this blade. Completely. It's the Jeweled Sword. Its blueprints are my birthright, as is the task of recreating it."

Tokiomi’s trail of thought stopped the moment he heard what Rin said. It is her birthright? How exactly is she related to him in her world? At first he thought she was a second child, or a member of a branch family that did not inherit the secrets of the family. But only a Heir to the family would say it was their birthright.

But now… he had to ask. “Perhaps I should have asked this sooner, but, in your world, what exactly is your relation to me Miss Rin?”

"That sounds like a god damn trap."

I see we agree on that.

Lawrence tapped the steering wheel, before speaking again. "Because you seem so interested in me, we could make a deal, but I don't trust you to uphold your end of the bargain. You or your creepy 'I am a death god fear me' friend. Basically, you sort of squandered your good will with me already, so would you kindly get the fuck out of my car unless you're willing to answer my questions then leave."

"So you won't even give me the time to draw up the contract? Really, so impatient. I was not asking for you to agree to anything here."

Zolgen smiled, "You are completely right to not trust me, I would not trust me. The one lesson I have learned in all my years is that one should not trust anything or anybody, not even themselves"

Zolgen chuckled, "Very well, I would have expected no less." Then Zolgen's form began to break up into many insects, from spiders, hornets, and even his bladeworms. All of them leaving through the open window. "I will return once the contract is suitably written." His voice echoed from the insects all around.

"Oh, and child? You should really not ogle your servant like you where. It is rather immature." And with that, all the insects where gone, back to their duties around the city.

Forest tensed as Wynn's warm breath tickled her ear and throat.  She repressed the urge to shiver; not that it felt good, but ice was starting to form in her gut.  The musky smell coming from her long time companion signaled exactly what Wynn wanted.

She was about to answer Henry's question when Wynn chuckled and said, "So you mentioned me as a friend.   How quaint."

"Something like that," Forest said with gritted teeth.

Then before Amelia could freak out about Wynn's impromptu and over-dramatic appearance, the bird that had made a nest in Karna's hair decided to sit in the young woman's lap.  It seemed to instantly calm her and had a wonderful affect on her mood.  Which means she doesn't try to kill Wynn and Wynn doesn't kill her in "self-defense".

She could hear rattling and shaking as Dan in his wolf form attempted to fruitlessly escape.

"The girl made a deliberate choice to become what she is, Forest. If you hold that against her and want to change her for that, I will stop you with all my might."

Forest glared and said, "Have you not been paying any goddamn attention to what I'm bloody saying?  I'm trying to tell her that magic isn't the end all evil she thinks it is.  If she wants to hunt evil wizards and can, bully for her, but if she harms some harmless healer that's something else entirely."

"Magic is neither good nor evil," Wynn said with a sigh, "It is like earth, air, water, or fire.  It is energy and change.  How it is wielded determines if it is 'good' or 'evil', but that is in the eye of the beholder.  What the man with the glasses thinks as 'good' might be considered 'evil' by the Little Mouse over there.  If the girl cannot tell the difference between someone who means harm and someone who does not, then she is not responsible enough to wield her blade."

Wynn moved away from Forest with a shake of her head, causing her braid to swish about her like an angry cat's tail.  "If that fellow is so eager to protect the girl, let him be and kindly ask them to remove themselves from your threshold.  You owe them no favors."

Forest frowned and said, "Wynn I . . ."

"She is a danger to myself and perhaps Gabriel," Wynn said, her amethyst eyes gleaming as she went straight for Forest's weak spot, "This fellow seems like he is more than capable of keeping her from harm.  If he wants the responsibility so badly, let him have it."

******

Gabriel lightly bit her throat again, purposely leaving a mark as he toyed with her nipples. He felt her start to flutter around him as he started to swell for that one last push.  His thrusts became deeper and more frantic, eager to complete her before losing himself again.

*****

Ash smiled and said, "I'm not stupid enough to get into a fist fight with Dracula.  Which is why I don't want Fore here.  She would be.  So just get Ellen save at the compound.  I'll keep in touch and if I need anything I'll yell."

******

Lancer walked up to the group, nodded, and said, "Yo.  I heard a commotion and someone sounding like an ass to a young lady."
