Benjamin
Benjamin’s eyes hardened at her words and he began to look around, activating his magic eye. “Dead Apostles?” He saw something and began to focus, allowing him to see it more clearly, and spoke again “It is odd to see them outside the district they claimed for themselves, especially during the day.”
He then drew one of the mystic codes and aimed it at a secondary story window, a second later a Vampire jumped out with a sword, screaming about vengeance of some idiotic shit.
Benjamin simply pulled the trigger and his mystic code activated. A pressurized stream of water stuck the vampire, completely destroying his entire torso as well as carving a large hole in the building he jumped from, the rest of his body falling to the earth, void of all life.
“Well at least I got some stress release.” He placed the cannon back on its spot on his back, before doing one more scan through, finding nothing else of note.
"I would complete my objective here post-haste, but the sheer frequency of the monsters has made me reconsider my priorities", said the brunette, clenching her armored fist tightly.
Then an idea clicked in her head. A devious smirk passed onto her lips.
"Say, sea dog, this seems like a decent hunting ground. How about this; In the name of justice, we shall have a competition. If you can defeat me in a contest of who exterminates the most bloodsuckers, therianthropes, demons, whatever other monstrous scum resides here, in the next hour, I could put in a good word for you among the Lords. I have connections you would not even dream of, and I am in need of some good sport. What do you say?"
It had been a while since she had had some proper exercise, and as one of two heads of the Clock Tower, it was simply part of Lorelei's job to know who exactly could do what among the Magus families that reside in the heart of the Mages' Association. The Saylors were, as of recent years, incredibly spiteful of vampires, and quite decent in the fields of combat thaumaturgy. He might even give her a mild challenge.
Sakura
Sakura frowned, deep in thought.
A magical construct? No, the amount of energy needed to maintain such a thing would be impossible, and on top of that it produced mana itself. It was far too complex.
The best bet would be that it was an Elemental of some kind, which in all honesty is much worse than it being a Phantasmal beast in its own way.
She sighed, either way it was going to be an issue if it got involved again. She looked up at Rider, “Did you at least get a view of the man who defeated your Sphinx? We should be wary of such an opponent.
"The Father of Terror will never die so long as I live, so that should not put a damper on our combat ability. But yes, I did see the coward. He looked exactly like that golden shithead we beat senseless in the Grail War, hell, it might even be the same guy. If so, it is only appropriate that I battle him once more and demonstrate my superiority as the King above Kings", boasted Rider with great confidence. So long as he was not to fight a full squad of enemies like he had, he possessed all the confidence possible in his own abilities.
"As for the rest of them, well, they are hardly worth mentioning. The knight-wench was so weak that she could barely last against a single Divine Beast, though that Noble Phantasm of hers is infinitely more dangerous than she is. Nevertheless, she's a non-threat. The hairless rat that might've looked slightly similar to a dragon is the same. It had a decent defense, but if my Avatar can put it under as it did, they are complete non-threats."
"Now the green-haired eunuch... girl... thing, that one had some swing behind him. Very adaptive in his combat style, but it too shall buckle under my full strength", he then snickered, "Though if I am to bring out that level of power, you're getting another first-class ticket out of there by whale."
Amy – Day 2
The sunlight was shining through the window of the hotel room, where the bed was being shared between its occupants.
Still next to each other in the bed were Fiore and Amy. Amy at some point during the night seemed to have pulled Fiore into a hug as if she was a pillow, Fiore’s head resting against Amy’s chest.
Amy suddenly mumbled something and squeezed Fiore, obviously having a dream of some kind.
Fiore shook back and forth in her sleep, accidentally pressing her face into Amy's breasts before she tugged hard enough with her upper body to turn around, facing away from the girl in their sleep, causing Amy's hands to fall onto the upper half of her torso. Even though Fiore wasn't even fully awake, she could feel it.
'
way...too...earlyyyy'. She had never been an early bird, and today was no different.
A smile composed of both satisfaction and relief shone brightly on Samuel's face. "That is EXACTLY what I was lookin for! Thanks for hookin a nigga up." He graciously accepted the little bottle that must have been hidden behind the napkins.
"Now why they don't put one of these on all the tables is beyond my inhuman comprehension." Twisting off the lid he began slapping the bottom of the little glass bottle to get the red contents onto the patty resting upon his plate. "Mother fuckers be lurin in unsuspecting citizens with the false promise of ketchupy goodness. Now I don't know how shit works here in Nexus but if a nigga tried to pull that shit in LA they'd being spewin some mothafuckin ketchup outta em once the 'customers' are done with em."
Putting the top of the bun onto the burger once more, he took yet another bite of his meal. "Mmm Mmm MMMMM! That is one tasty burger! I owe you niggas one for sure."
Finally speaking up from stuffing his face full of kebab, Caules spoke briefly, with a nervous tinge to his voice.
"You're, uh, welcome I guess?", he really had no idea why the black man had taken a seat at their table, but it wasn't a particularly big deal. He seemed friendly enough. Though Caules noticed something odd about the man. It was almost like he had seen him before. The hair, the manner of speech, and didn't he just say something Caules had heard somewhere else.
Then the puzzle pieces fell into place.
"Wait, aren't you that one guy from Pulp Fiction? I remember a friend showing me that movie, and I'm fairly sure you were in it", Caules spoke up, but he couldn't quite remember the name yet... wait.
"Samuel!", he said with a snap of his fingers, "Samuel L Jackson, wasn't it?!", his voice becoming loud. It was his first time experiencing something like this, meeting a famous person with no relation to the world of Magi, so this was getting him quite excited.
