"Damn it. There goes a peaceful day I could be spending in my new room," Henry bitterly thought.

Forest was adamant to keep this dangerous creature in her own abode. The one who had no issues lashing out against the hand that helped him. This stake-wielding lord was no slouch. He could definitely feel it from his presence. But the doctor had to admit. It does indeed seem questionable that he claims innocence while the penetrated claims otherwise.

Nope. He's probably innocent. That's right, nothing wrong...

"It's probably going to be in our best interests that you explain what exactly happened," Henry offered despite his actual intentions.

But man was he feeling some sympathy for Wynn right now. The fairy having to deal with someone overzealous with morals. That was a real pain in the ass. A pain he is very well familiar with.

"And if you may, would you introduce yourself? I am Henry."

Gabriel said, "Right this way."

He had half a mind to take the German to the armory.  That's probably where Godmother would have taken him to let him know she had a good supply.  Then again, does she even have a weapon's dealer here in Nexus?

At their home dimension, there was a family who had started out as blacksmiths and became weapons dealers that Forest dealt with.  She'd been dealing with them long since he was born, and his godmother had "brand loyalty" as she called it.  He mused that like most immortals it was the fact she found a system she liked and it worked, so why get discombobulated changing it.

He wasn't sure what his godmother would think of this man.  So far, from what Gabriel had seen, he had the personality of dried toast and the cardinal sin of being German.  He lead the somber man into the study, or at least the one that Godmother would talk "shop" in.  Her real study/living room was downstairs and filled with entertainment.  He led the man to that and said, "Take a seat.  It maybe hours before she gets to talk to you though."

******

Lancer nodded and smiled as well.  He wouldn't cross blades with Saber again now, not with the potential of being with Rin dangling in his grasp, but he could make the opportunity known to the blond.  Fighting against the bowman had been frustrating because he cheated and made sure, even though Lancer was stronger, faster, and better skilled, that Lancer couldn't close in on him.

He looked at the screen and said, "Aye, I know exactly where that's at.  I can get us there in a blink if you don't mind me carrying you."  His smile turned a slight bit wolfish at that.

Caressing the phoenix's feathers, Enkidu immediately nodded in response to Gilgamesh's inquiry.

"It is as you said. I have spotted unusual beings and phenomenons while wandering around this place. I remember this tall man clad in a white armor. His face was completely hidden behind a mask and he held tremendous power. I could not make sense of his motivations but I think he was introducing himself in a very loud and imperious way. Maybe he was some sort of buffoon since people threw money coins at his feet afterwards. He didn't picked them up though."

Of course, he was not part of strangest beings since his arrival. Enkidu had seen partly machine beings, demon hosts, evil spirits, elementals of all kind, demi-humans armed with weapons clearly not from this era, partly machine humanoids, divine entities and many more. Whatever was the phenomenon which allowed these irregularities to roam this plan of existence, it didn't discriminate when it came to choosing who to bring. He was at the same time thankful for that but also worried about the chaos it could bring to this place in where people lived.

"Should we do something about it?"

---

Kyle entered the infirmary once more carrying boxes asked by the doc. He immediately noticed the man turned into a weird parody of art. It appeared that people in the room were tense and ready to fight. He had heard the argument from outside but didn't expect to meet with one of the guys who had slaughtered all these people in the bar earlier.

Shit.

The black man placed the boxes near the wall and trying to defuse the explosive situation before things would go south, the werewolf approached Vlad. Showing no sign of tension nor hostility, he sat by a nearby bed.

"What my vampiric friend is trying to say is that we could perhaps reach for a compromise. Rules of hospitality being what they are, we can't decently accept to give this guy to you. However, we could offer compensation."

Fighting this guy, and his friends sure to follow, meant bad news.

Staff Sergeant Jonathan Mathews:

Mathews was following behind Kyle, carrying the rest of the medical equipment. His legs moving mechanically, eyes blank, thoughts swirling around. Togg and the Dragoon were closely behind him. What brought him out of his stupor was when said Dragoon suddenly cried "Witch!"

What he saw made his blood run cold: The white haired man from earlier was standing over Cardigan, lighting her arm with an intense fire brighter than any plasmagun he had ever seen. Cardigan herself was writhing from agony, squirming on the table.

Mathews dropped the equipment with a clunk and drew out his power sword with his left hand. He saw the Dragoon take aim with her Hotshot Lasgun while Togg brought his Ripper Gun to bear. "What the Hell are you doing to her?!" He screamed while pointing his sword forward.

Karna eyed the piece of steel without a hint of caution. Unless the Sergeant could swing it with the force of ten men his size, he doubted that it would simply crack against his skin. The same went for the absurd firearms.

"As you can clearly see, I'm cleansing this foul disease from her veins. Look with your eyes and not with your fanaticism, soldier." As the fire let up, it was obvious to any pair of eyes that there was no longer a wound nor a disease to be found. Having drawn restorative Prana into the arm, he incinerated every impurity with the flames of his father. The girl would still require a good rest, but her life should no longer be endangered.

"Find her a place to rest that is not here. I have a feeling this place will soon become a battlefield the likes of which mortal man cannot participate in." His voice was hard and cold, but also displayed a hint of care. This was merely what any good Samaritan would tell the weak and wounded.

Walking away from the infirmary bed on the far side of the room, leaving his back exposed for the men to open fire if they so wished, Karna's eyes let a tiny glint of anger appear as his outpouring pressure choked the air in the room.

"The very idea that you would let this petty argument escalate to the point where battle is imminent in a resting room of the wounded is absolutely preposterous to me. All who wish to keep themselves free of bodily harm, courtesy of me, take this feud outside."

"It don't really matter to me who did what. That ain't gonna change what I am. Way I see it the good Lord put me on this fine Earth for a reason. His methods may be questionable but a whale never swallowed Jonah just because the big old motherfucker was hungry now did he?" He could tell he confused both of these gentlemen quite a bit already, and felt he didn't need to add more confusion to their meal. "Though I've probably said quite enough about myself, good'n introduction as ever don't you agree? Enough about me, I doubt a couple of folks like yourself wanna listen to this nigga chatting away whilst you try to eat. Don't mind me, please continue your business."

"Then, if you, uh, don't mind." Caules returned to eating his food, noticing himself checking his phone almost instinctively every minute or so. No news from Fiore. His protective side made his brows furrow.

Rattus earnestly followed the jet-black haired man towards the study room of the household's lady. He utterly maintained his severe composure in the short while that he was being lead to where he shall wait before the woman entertains any of his business proposals. But doing such was always his usual decorum, especially that he was dealing with someone he has never met before.

When he was asked to take a seat, he nodded slightly, saying "Thank you very much.", and complied, sitting properly and looking on one direction with all focus. The simple act of looking at a direction while seated made him feel a tinge of uneasiness and nausea. For him, it was not a good sign, as he feared that it might cause him to lose his orderly disposition and begin remembering his olden days again. For this reason, Rattus despised waiting and idleness, but simply accepts it as a part of his daily life and work. Fortunately for him, he was precise and meticulous regarding his daily routine, even if it has been significantly made more unpredictable by his two comrades back at the Manor. As such, he never forgot to bring his hip flask, which as always filled with unlouched absinthe. This was the drink that made him calm his nerves whenever he feels like he was going to lose his self-control or wanted to uplift his general morale and mood. It was such a ritual to him, that Neo once told him that he might have problems with alcoholism. But regardless of what his relationship with the drink was, absinthe was a part of Rattus' daily life.

As so, he begins the long wait for the lady of the household.

"Let me guess, you and ya girl got into a bit of a scuffle last night? I know that feelin' all too well." When people sent frequent troubled glared  towards the LCD screens of their mobiles, that usually was the case at hand. Other likely cases were family or dealers, and this boy looked a little too much of a goodie two shoes to be an addict.

The graceful footsteps of Luviagelita Edefelt strolled semi-merrily down the busy street of the city Nexus. The occasional passerby was being asked in mannerly fashion as to whether they had scene a pair of women fitting the description of that nasty Tohsaka Rin. The common consensus seemed to point in the direction of a hotel in the business area of the town. Although she had no restrictions to working with the vile woman, compulsion to stay true to her debt to the Wizard Marshal Zelretch compelled her to deal with the wench. Besides, she had already been here for an extended period of time. She may already have information.

Eventually she received directions from a talking shark on the side of the road... which already she made notes of to do a following investigation into. The scaly mansharkthing pointed a fin in the direction of a large hotel not too far, saying he saw someone of Tohsakas appearance with someone fitting the other girl who had the nerve to replace her, and a couple of others too she knew not of.  Standing outside the hotel, she imagined the scenario that would take place within her head...

"Ohohoho Rin Tohsaka! Zelretch-sama, your very own mentor, has sent me to keep an eye on you for clearly you are not to be trusted unsupervised. If that fake priest or Emiya-kun isn't watching you, then it seems he believes I must! D'ooooohohohohohohohoh!"

"Curses, it seems like I truly am an inferior magus after all!"

"D'ohohohohoh!" She laughed loudly on the side of the street. When she was finished admiring her own thoughts publicly, she dragged a large suitcase into the hotel up towards the receptionist. "Excuse me, ma'am, I am looking for a few acquaintances of mine. Would you be so kind as to assist me in this matter? I am looking for two women, one near my height, a red sweater with a white cross on it and a black skirt. The other, a shorter girl with red hair seen accompanying her. Potentially ring any bells?"
"Ahh... I believe I saw the one leave not too long ago, with a man with blue hair. The other is in the pool area, however, it is for guests only--"
"It is of little issue. Thank you for your help, I am truly grateful." She kept her aristocratic act up as per her norm. Her good name may have been ruined within the Tower, but this was not the Tower. A fresh reputation would be possible now. Flipping her hair back, she continued. "I will be booking out the penthouse suite for an unknown period of time. Here is the funds to cover my stay for about a month. Could you have a bellboy bring my luggage up? I would be most grateful." She ended with a curt smile and bow. The timid woman was mildly taken aback by the large sum of money presented before her.

"Ahh, umm... yes. Yes, of course, Miss...?"
"Edefelt. Luviagelita Edefelt."
"Right, Miss Edefelt. Here is the key to your room. The pool is down the hall and to the left."
"Thank you."

Luvia made her way down the hall towards the pool. A faint giggle as to the thought of shock on Tohsaka Rin's face carried her along the way. Upon entering the room that carried with it a strong scent of chlorine, she immediately addressed her intended target with her loud booming voice. "Oh Rin Tohsakaaa-- ...eh?" There was only one individual present in the room. Thinking about it, she never did ask the receptionist as to which individual went to the pool and which left the building.

"Tsk." She clicked her tongue in disappointment. It seems her gloating would need to wait. For now, objective number 2 was taking center stage. "So you must be Mille Garrison." She gave a deceitfully curt bow as to maintain her image. "Luviagelita Edefelt. A pleasure."

Caules expanded on the knight's answer. It couldn't hurt to tell him. Pulling up a picture of them together of his phone, Caules showed it to Samuel. Quote
“I am afraid due to the amount of time my other project has been consuming I have very little to actually show you, although I might have something in the future.” Zolgan paused a moment before continuing, “That boy you were interested in, I have secured a contact with him that will ensure my ability to examine him. You are free to watch and discuss the results when the time comes. But please do not try and harm him.”

"Don't worry so much, Zolgen. I do not intend to harm him. Once you have the boy you may seek me out in No Man's Land. I am interested in examining his soul. The sorceress stood up, created a rift in reality, and walked through. This particular tear lead to the base she had created with the living curse. With a wave of her hand the wound in reality closed and she focused her attention on a map of the city.

The male persona assumed control as he looked over the map. "So many possibilities. I wonder what I'll see once the event begins."

"Okay, Striborg Grand Master, in trouble, okay. But if we reach the spot where you felt this happening and no one's there, we skedaddle and go get the wagon. I'm not going on a wild goose chase when, uh..." I was going somewhere with metaphors and comparisons, but I lost it halfway. I scratched my head a moment, until I just decided to wing it. "When my wagon's fucking missing!"

"Of course. If I find nothing we will reaquire your wagon right away.

Quote
"Well? Left or right?!"

Paladin looked around for a sign that would tell him where to go. Then he heard something. A whisper that was nearly impossible to hear even in the silence of the sewers. It told him where to go, but that was all it said. The whisper did not speak of what he would find. Under his helmet Paladin frowned. This was troubling. He recognized the voice. It was the Great Serpent. An powerful spirit that took the form of a beast. The snake served Stribog, but rarely spoke to the god's worshipers. The fact that it communicated with him meant something extremely important had happened.

"We're going right, and we need to move quickly." The servant of the Father of Winter rushed past his companion and turned left. He needed to get there as soon as possible.

"So, what powers and unique abilities do you boast? And your physical prowess? How does it match up to an ordinarily trained human fighter? Do you have any magical skill? Ah, and if I am mistaken, by all means correct me, but you are a kind of demon, are you not?"

"I never grow tired and can recreate my body even if it is completely destroyed, I am physically stronger and more skilled then any ordinary human, I am a powerful pyromancer, and you are not mistaken. My people are called demons."

Golden Rule - Transaction Center
Day 2

The transaction center of Golden Rule was in full swing that day. Businesspeople rushed from one end to the other of the large lobby of glass and metal and gold that stretched many floors up, bartering for stocks and deals, interrupting each other and focusing on their phones or notes as they took in the many screens and projections displaying charts and graphs of financial importance. Sound proof rooms were occupied in great numbers for meetings of all sorts, goods changed hands, deals were made and people shook on official agreements. Duplicity, deception and manipulation of all sorts weaved an extremely flammable web of webs among the hopeful mighty that swarmed the place.

This luxurious building was attached to the central headquarters of the company that had firmly entrenched itself as the one definite corporation in town, Golden Rule. The tall and imposing construction amidst the company's great skyscrapers was a place where money and powers passed and flowed through in greater amounts daily than a regular person would see in their entire lives, one of the economical centers of Nexus City itself.

In one particular, discreet room situated at the middle floors, two men sat across from each other over a table in which a pen and a set of papers that showed veritable walls of text was. One of them, who looked the meeker, took the pen and quickly had something written down on the documents, which he then passed along the writing utensil to the other. The individual took the pen and started to scribble his own part in the sealing of the agreement. His hand moved slowly in contrast with his eyes, which seemed to pursue the words on paper with sharp analysis and movements quicker than his business partner could follow.

Dominique Reever, in his nice suit and smooth executive look, businessman extraordinaire, experienced in transactions and con deals, looking much smaller than he was used to, did not quite know what to make of the man before his eyes that had introduced himself as Carl Bergschatten.

His appearance alone should not have been of great surprise or awe to Dominique, as he had dealt with more unusual looking people before. The strong build, the incredibly trimmed boxed beard and dark brown hair slicked back gave the man a respectable, rugged look, but it did not stand out in any way from the suit that must've been made of the finest dark blue he had ever seen, as the man himself appeared majestic. All of it drew him apart from regular people, but his eyes were the first thing to raise alarms. Those prismatic, knowing orbs of many tones of rich yellow that swirled with the light looked liked they had more years than the number of refractions within them, and they were as enticing as they were terrifying.

That wasn't the only thing, of course. This was not Dominique's first time dealing with Mr. Bergschatten. He had done small business and gone through purchases and sales with him, from him and to him, before on numerous occasions, most of them directly related to Golden Rule. Nothing had given him the impression the unusual older man was particularly business savvy. As people in his line of work tended to, just like a shark in the water, he had smelled blood hearing of this much much larger proposal that included many thousands' worth of magical materials, properties, and other assorted things. So Dominique had with all his greed, wrote a truly eviscerating, long winded, purposefully confusing contract that would heavily benefit him and eskew the other party entirely for profit. As soon as Bergschatten had walked through the door the wry businessman had actively engaged him in oh so pleasant, routine conversation to bring about the most casual atmosphere he reasonably could, derailing the themes he spoke of even as he off-mentioned the points of the contract, expertly manipulating him to further draw his attention from the deal.

Dominique had not quite expected, in blunt terms, his bullshit to be utterly seen through.  He had to fight with his urge to choke as the other man did not fail to notice the intricacies he was attempting to hide; almost nonchalantly waved off the underlying issue as he argued him into the corrections necessary for the deal to adhere to the true conditions they had agreed on; and confused him by giving lead to the completely unrelated conversation they were having before. For some reason he was unable to say "no" to Mr. Bergschatten's demands, even though he was sure there was no supernatural influence whatsoever on him, and simply went along with the flow.

"Here, Mr. Reever."

The voice of Bergschatten broke through his train of thought like the thundering of a waterfall, and straightening to attention, Dominique took the contract back and only absent-mindedly gave everything a final check, avoiding the yellow eyes fixed on him.

"All checks out."

"Excelent." Was the reply, and Carl Bergschatten extended his hand to Dominique for a sealing handshake.

The businessman hesitated only for a moment before taking it. And so they concluded their meeting, in a far more orderly and oddly pleasing note than he would expect from someone who realized mid way the other party was trying to cheat him.

Bergschatten took no longer than a few seconds to pack his papers and copy of the contract, and giving a polite greeting, left the office in stride looking satisfied with himself.

Dominique sank into his couch just then, reeling back from his client's goodbye smile and the dangerous, knowing glint he swore he saw in it. Sighing, he ran a hand over his wide forehead to wipe away his sweat, but abruptly pulled it back. Confused, he blinked twice as he realized his palm was much hotter than it should be. And that Bergschatten's own had seemed like a furnace as it touched his skin.

Amy

Finishing the last slice of her toast Amy stretched her arms, “Ahh, that feels good.” There was an incredibly sense of contentment that Amy was feeling, a good night’s sleep and a simple breakfast always made her feel good.

“Want to go find her? She couldn’t have gotten too far.”

Staff Sergeant Jonathan Mathews:

"Permission to engage, sir?" The Dragoon asked, still training her weapon on the psyker's back.

"...Negative," Mathews hesitantly responded while sheathing the sword, "He could be sanctioned. Either way, we'll report him to the planetary governor and have him deal with it."

With the corner of his eye, he saw the trooper lowered her aim, body language that of frustration, but Mathews moved on and approached Specialist Cardigan to inspect the infection. What was festering rot was now scarred, yet clean, skin. Looking at her face, he saw that she passed out during her "Treatment," no doubt due to the combination of the illness and the rather violent procedure.

The raising voices and the white-haired man's warning suddenly made the Sergeant aware of the other occupants of the room.
