Rider heard Shirou's question, and prepared to reply. But, before she could, Sakura responded, begging Shirou not to fight, telling him to trust her and Faust to protect her.
Sakura was, of course, entirely right. Shirou could not do anything to protect her that she or Faust could not do. In fact, he would most likely just get in the way. There was no circumstance she could imagine in which Shirou putting himself in danger could be necessary to protect Sakura, at least as long as she, Vanguard or Faust were around.
However, just as Rider was about to give her view, Faust walked up to her and spoke.
“It’s not a good idea to get in the middle of this. I don’t know about your Sakura, but the one right here has some issues, it’s a bad idea to try to butt in right now”, he said.
True, thought Rider. It would be better to leave this to them for now. I can talk to Shirou later.
Unfortunately, though, Shirou seemed to overhear Faust's words, and addressed him.
"Hey you, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to tell Rider, but Sakura is Sakura. It doesn't matter what world she's in, she'll always be the sweet girl who helps me when I need, that much I'm certain of", he said.
Rider smiled.
Hmm, I think I need to clear things up here.
"I've never met you before, but I have lived with an alternate version of you and Sakura for 30 years. I know you both very well, but Sakura's life diverged from that of the one I lived with when she got sent here, so there may be some differences, even if she is the same, sweet girl that we both know. That is what Faust was referring to."
