Thea

Thea had been meditating over the floor of an ancient ruin while seeking to spread her senses into its sunken depths. This talent was one she had never quite gotten the hang up, and her efforts had been largely in vain. All she knew is there were spaces down there where living things could be found. She reached down to read their thoughts in hopes of finding her prize...

You see, the Empress of Tarvos had run out of world to conquer years ago. There were no enemies from without to turn her armies against, no unknown foes to test herself against, but rather a slowly fading spark of resistance that would surge up to undermine her rule now and again. She rooted them out with her mind arts and executed them efficiently, and at first that had kept her interest for a time. Now even that was growing stale. What was left for a tyrant to do but stagnate, or for her empire to do but crumble over time?

Tarvos itself was slowly diminishing beneath the weight of her needs, too. So for years she had sought to find some way off this world of her's. She wanted to see the stars from whence the ancients came, and bring her order to new worlds! She wanted to crush new kings beneath her heel, make their wives feed her youth, and bring their children up as her soldiers! But years of searching had availed her nothing. Nothing at all...

Until now. Now she was... somewhere else. She opened her eyes not in a ruin, but atop a structure as tall as those the ancients once built. She rose up and planted her feet on the ground before relaxing her mind and taking in the sights. "This place... this is not home. Or my world. But their machines did not work this way, did they?"

She received several 'ping' sounds from her omnidex, which she quickly removed from her pocket with a frown. "What is this? Am I receiving a signal from here? ... weather alert?"

Her eyes went up to the sky, and saw hints of storm clouds in the distance. "If I didn't know better I would say I somehow got lost in time."

Thea's lips quirked up dangerously.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to look around."

Archer

Archer smiled at Amanda's suggestion and said, "That sounds like a good idea.  I think a good cup of tea would be a good remedy about the lackluster nature of that meal."

He grimaced at his plate before standing up and holding his hand out to Amanda.

"How do you feel about cats?" he asked.

Amanda

"Oh yo have cats." She grinned cheekily and slowly reached out to take his hands before slapping it away peacefully. "I'm as close to a cat as you get~" She stood up and skipped away to the entrance.

"Meow~"

She let out an imitation of the sound and not even the bad kind of joke version, but something that sounded like an actual cat, and she did it with no shame whatsoever. With a wave of her hands she urged him to follow.

Archer

"I have one cat.  He's fairly spoiled," he replied before Amanda took his hands before slapping them away, much like a playful cat.

"Oh!  So you have nekomimi then?" Archer asked with a smirk as he eyed her, "I don't see a little tail though."

Amanda

Amanda eyed the street around them, judging her options and whether or not it would be worth it. Curiosity won in the end, she really wanted to see his reaction to this.

She held out her hands dramatically and chanted in some old forgotten language, or perhaps it was an entirely made up language. Whatever the case it sounded entirely foreign, like it lacked any structure or cohesion.

A magic circle forming pentagram appeared briefly beneath, and then the light died down as the incantation was finished and the spell took hold. At first nothing seemingly happened. But then something crawled out from underneath her skirt....

It was a black tail, a cat's tail, similarily her hair was pushed aside as large fluffy cat ears of matching color decided to grow from her head.

"Behold my ultimate transformation magic!" She declared proudly, as if she'd just performed a grand miracle.

Dahlia

... a wolf literally just ate her boots. Wait, no, had he even transformed before he did that? She couldn't tell now, Dahlia was too busy staring at the other boot that hadn't been on her feet. "You do realize they're gonna try to make me pay for that now, right?"

The operative word there was 'try.' That wasn't going to happen.

"And now I have to find another like that in my size."

Valerie

"Who? Me? No, not at all, never," She shook her head fervently, absolutely determined to divorce herself from this slander. "I would never partake in such scandalous activity, to even suggest the great King would do so is an offense most severe, and one I cannot overlook, not even from an esteemed guest like yourself Lord Yusho."

She finally relaxed as the overwhelming high mellowed out into something far more manageable. "It is quite clear to me that you have succumbed to your bestial desires and seek to claim me. Oh, to think I have brought such a dangerous man before me."

Suerte

"Yeah ok," Suerte said, rolling her eyes.  One million was pushing it, but more than a million for a dumb reason like that?  She wasn't gullible enough to believe something like that.  Even if it were true, she couldn't believe it was over something so petty.

As she listened to the girl's short explanation, she ran her fingers through some clothing racks, testing the fabric for comfort.  After a second or two, she pulled out a top with the exact same design as the one she lost.  No, it was better, far more comfortable than the one she wore before.  In her other hand, she pulled out a skirt and a pair of jean booty shorts.

"So you've been here a while," she said, holding out the bottoms for the redhead.  "Too skimpy for this city?  Oh, and if you want anything, I'll pay.  Consider it my treat."

She gave the clothes Suerte and picked a single glance before replying. "There's literal sex demons here, wear whatever you're comfortable with... but if you're gonna go with skirt and shorts make sure the skirt is long enough to cover them but short enough to give glimpses." She guessed the other girl wanted to be eye-catching.

Then she shook her head while waving the offer away. "Don't mind it there's nothing here I want anyway. How did you get your clothes ruined in the first place?" She almost asked if he had forced himself on her but that was rather unlikely, seeing as she hadn't been mad at him.

Suerte

"Sex demons huh?" She repeated, a greedy smile leaking onto her face.  "I'll have to check that out later..."

Still, the girl's advice was pretty sound.  She decided the skirt was probably better than the shorts.  It could cover up her panties most of the time without giving everyone free passes to her ass cheeks.

"Huh? Oh!" she said, defensively waving a cowboy hat she had pulled from another shelf like a white flag.  The way she said it sounded overly concerned, like he did something to her.  "We were sparring and I tried to lure him into the sewers to turn the tide and well... I got wet.  But more importantly, did you know him?  It seemed like you didn't like him or something."

All of the sudden she grinned before letting out a small giggle.  "Either that or you really liked him."

Lily

A blank stare.

The redhead looked up with a dead soulless stare, a stare that more belonged to a zombie that anyone truly alive. It was unnerving but centuries of practice lead to the devlopment of many skills, some even considered to be unnatural.

"At least I'm not the one who got wet from fighting him."

Fire wasn't the only thing that could get you burned.

Suerte

She was right.

She was so right in fact that the strange souless stare seemed to suck the life out of Suerte's hazel eyes.  Her once playfully bright eyes dimmed to nothing in less than a second.  Her figure slumped over, her back hunched as she placed two hands on the clothing rack.

Suerte turned her head to the side to face the red haired girl.  "At least-"

She cut herself off, turning her head back towards the clothing rack.  No, she was staring at the ground, rock bottom as it were.  A fitting place for a pervert who gets off to fighting with hot men.

"At least i'm hot enough to dry myself off right?" she said, straightening her back, puffing out her chest and giving the girl a forced wink.  "Right?"

Tsumiko

Tsumiko wore a melancholic smile as she leaned against the wall of a dilapidated building. Her home, for now. Until she had to move again. It was barely more than a shack. She ran her hand against the cracking bricks and closed her eyes for a brief moment.

Of course, she saw the same terrible scene she always did when she closed her eyes. That same familiar scene from all those years ago, the feelings as real as to her now as the moment she'd been born there. The large musty cavern shattered after a seemingly epic fight, exploding outward as the corrosive mud fell from the sky...

She opened her eyes once more and stood up, stretching her arms out.

This was no time for her to mope about her problems. She had important work to do, to clennse herself. She didn't have the luxury of taking a moment to pity herself right now. So she set off to do the work that needed to be done. The sun was about to come up, after all.

After several hours of work, Tsumiko finally decided to call it quits for the day. She had a happy smile on her face. It'd been a good productive day. Someone had even given her a nice tip that she was going to buy dinner with. Her body was in sync, and the dark thoughts had receeded for a while.

Humming a soft turn, she began to head to the grocery store, jumping from rooftop to rooftop with practiced little steps.

She loved this city, and would do anything in order to protect it.

"Not yet young one." She resolutely declared, her deadpan gaze remaining focused on the girl before her. It was time to impart some of her wisdom to this misguided soul before she strayed too far from the path.

"That level is far beyond you right now..." A pause as the truth was about to be delivered.

Violent red flames burst out from the redhead's body, surrounding her with a crimson cloak of despair and devastation. But most importantly, the rebuttal of the other girl's intent.

"This is how hot you gotta be!"

Eruraviel

Eruraviel shook her head and frowned. "That place is not fit to be your abode. A ruler like yourself needs to go and find a good and proper palace."

The elf pulled out a crystal ball out of god knows where and began to peer through it. "Hold on, this shall only take but s moment."

Nero

"Umu, i was right in the process of that when yoiu arrived, in fact. There shall be no need for you to search, dear."

Facing the abandonded warehouse next to the new empire's first base, she produced a long crimson blade from thin air.

"I was meaning to search for an empty lot, but this is derelict either way."

No sooner than she had finished her sentence, the small blonde's magical energy surged, and with a single arc of the blade, bright orange flames erupted to engulf and consume the building, incinerating the old wood- and stone-structure, leaving a neat square of empty land.

"Umu, that turned out great if i may say so! I am still the best after all! Well then, let the roses bloom through this street, Aestus Domus Aurea!"

At that time, reality shifted. The ruins, the flames, they grew, brighter, higher, as a tall, entirely golden building emerged, red banners disrupting the gold in regular intervals as the golden palace and statue, sticking out in this place yet anchored like it had always been there, towered over the slum.
