Noel Vermillion

"What kind of place do you come from?" Noel asked, trying to change the topic of the conversation. She didn't want to make this girl feel bad. It wasn't her fault she was from a terrible internetless place!

Auspicious Breeze

"Hmm? Oh!" That she could answer! It made Breeze smile again, and it wasn't even very forced. "Well, I'm from the island of Ys. It's in the middle of the Dreaming Sea, at the southeastern corner of Creation, and ruled by all kinds of scary sorcerers. Though I haven't been back there for... 40 years, I think?"

The wanderer tilted her head and thought about it. "At least. I was busy exploring the rest of the world. I've been in the forests of the East, and walked the deserts in the South, and met some very mean faeries in the frozen North. I was on a pirate crew once out on the Western Ocean for a few weeks!"

Then she sighed. "And I had to walk everywhere that wasn't on a boat." Horses had never liked her. Or camels. Or those giant wolf things. Really anything that she could ride hated her for some reason.

Lance

"Iunno, I'm Lance." He shrugged at the redhead. "And I'm not vulgar. Just fashionable..." He told her flatly before opening the door, definitely not pouting. But deep down he was a sensitive man, and she really hurt his feelings.

"Heyo, one table please.  The usual, but times three, and minus the gasoline for these two." He waved at the familiar waiter like he knew him. The smell was one thing, but looking from inside the food looked absolutely scrumptious.

"Sooooo, what do you think!"

Forest

"I said impossible for normal, human beings.  I didn't mention the supernatural," Forest said as the young man took off the garish uniform which revealed pristine robes.  That somehow did not reek of grease and over processed foods.

Since she was part of the supernatural community herself, she was fully aware (even if she hadn't experienced it herself) that sex could get very weird.  Hell, her best friend was her own tentacle rape factory.  It was something that terrified Forest and made her friend very proud.

"So, let's go feed the homeless and talk more about paranormal porn," Forest said as she followed him outside, "And maybe you could give me your name, because you know mine and all."

Maybe I can get some answers about this place.

Charlotte

Alright, guess we really are treading new ground here.

"Guess the view isn't too bad," Charlotte admitted, stepping back once the catgirl was on her feet, " 'Specially in a city like this. From what I've heard though, they've got all sorts of things up here. Good food, music, casinos, among other entertainments. Suppose we're in the same boat if you've never looked around for yourself, then. Whaddya say we do something about that?"

Lily took a seat at the table, the place didn't really interest her that much no matter how good the food they were serving was, she just wanted a place to sit at. "I wouldn't really mind if he went after me...." She interjected.

"He's very handsome and I think he can handle the ride." The redhead turned to Olga next. "I'm pretty sure he's more interested in banging you to though."

Dan

So he strolled on out of the fast food place, halfway near skipping with all the pep in his step. He spun around on his heel to look at her and started moving backwards. "Well, I'm Dan. These handy backup dancers are the Metatrons!" They burst into shades of color before reorienting around his head sort of like a crown. Then he turned back around and returned to his excited little walk.

"So then, whadda you wanna know about this place?"

Ananta

She didn't seem to get the cue at all, her head bobbing with professional (well at least to her) nods. "Well I can do fire, water, air, and earth. I could show you any of them if you want!" Earth might not be safe around here though.

Sakura Matou

"Ah--" Sakura made a small noise and opened her mouth before closing it again. Bleh. Oh well. That hadn't worked at all. "Hm, sure. That sounds interesting."

Wormy, as oppossed to Sakura, had suddenly gotten very excited at the mention of fire powers. She seemed to be doing some sort of a dance and his mandibles began chittering excitedly. She bobbed up and down in front of Ananta and Sakura, rubbing her soft fur against Sakura and looking at her with a very serious expression. Sakura couldn't help but get caught up in her friend's mood and translated for Ananta. "Wormy was wondering if you could show her the extent of your fire powers. Fire's one of her specialties and she wants to know how you match up."

Ananta took a quick look around at the question, a frown forming on her face. "Well, this isn't really a good place. Fire spreads really easily and can be a danger to people. I'd need to be in a more secluded area if you wanted to see it, and it would have to be somewhere without anything flammable." But she still eased into fire, her body letting out great amounts of warmth as she was shrouded in the heat haze.

"But I'd be glad to show Wormy!" She followed it up, almost worried that it would be bad if she didn't.

Sakura nodded. "Yeah, of course. Too many people here." Sakura looked around at all the various normal people. She felt kind of sorry for them, not having powers that they could rely on to keep themselves safe.

Wormy wasn't going to let Ananta's heat outdo hers! Her wing scales began to glow, and it started to get extremely hot. Her wings looked exceptionally pretty as they glistened and sparkled with lights. People were starting to avoid the weird pair. Well, avoid them more than they already had.

Sakura however didn't seem fazed by the extreme heat at all. She simply took Ananta's hand and felt her temperture. "Mmm, that's pretty cool." Then she began to think. "She's pretty competetive, sorry, hahaha." Sakura stroked Wormy's fur affectionately. "I don't know any good places offhand. We could fly around until we find something?"

Forest

"Well, nice to meet you Dan and Dan's back up dancers," Forest said as she followed the enthusiastic steps of her guide, "You already knew my name, which I'd chalk up to you being some sort of supernatural yourself."

She resisted the urge to cover herself when she stepped into the daylight, but did slide her hands into her duster's pockets.

She said, "As to what I want to know about this place is what it is, why is it like this, and if there's anyway I can get home."

Dan

"Me? Supernatural? I'm absolutely one hundred percent natural. It's just normal for me to know that kind of stuff. Now this place is..." Drum sounds began to emanate from all the Metatrons around him to build up some great suspense. "The Nexus! Who knows why it's like this and unless you're capital G God you're probably not going anywhere anytime soon. Anymore questions?"

Ananta

They'd gone out quite a bit to the wilderness, a pretty rocky area near devoid of vegetation to make sure they didn't burn anything to the ground. "Alright! I'll show you everything I got! Just be careful, alright Sakura? The heat can be dangerous if you get to close."

The heat had hit its apex, her form becoming unbearable for normal people to be around. Her entire form shimmered like a mirage, making it hard to tell where she really was even as she stood still. Then she burst into action, fire dancing forth in great streams from her limbs and mouth. A swirling form of fire so quick she almost seemed to be a sphere. Rock ran like water, molten liquid pouring around her as she moved forwards. Then she raised her hand, a grand explosion sending her limb forward and shattering the ground in a display of shattered rock, roaring flame, and a splash of molten stone.

Then she stood up, brushing off her clothes. "So, how was that?"

Sakura and Wormy

Sakura clapped, only sweating a little bit. She'd erected a barrier to protect herself from the dangerous levels of heat. She remained floating qbove the ground as she sat in the air. "Hahaha, wow. Just wow. And you can do stuff like that with three other elements as well?

Wormy also chittered, nodding her head approvingly. "Good, good." It chittered at Ananta. "But how about-this!" Suddenly, Wormy turned to the side and flapped her wings, sending her white-hot scales flying forward at unbelievable speeds. All of them shimmered beautifully under the moonlight as they sped towards a nearby boulder. As soon as they contacted the rock, it burst into flames with a mighty explosion, instantly vaporizing it and reducing it into slag. All that remained of the boulder and the rock underneath it was a molten crater, sizzling with heat and slowly solidifying into glass.

Wow, that was a really strong moth! Ananta leaped over to gently pet Wormy's head. She really wanted to sweep the little thing up into her arms, he looked so soft, but she restrained herself. "He's really strong! Is he some sort of sacred beast? Even most of the magical creatures I know couldn't do something like that without falling over."
