Noel

"Mh. Sure." Noel nodded as she followed breeze out of the registration building.

Auspicious Breeze

She held Noel's hand the whole way. It was nice and warm and super distracting because she kept smiling and resisting the urge to swing their joined hands about! This was the sort of thing Breeze lived for honestly. Spending time with a nice cute girl in a new place doing new things? Perfect.

She also got really, really lost along the way and had to ask for directions, but soon they were in some sort of store! She thought it was the right kind of place anyway. "Whoa. Markets are weird here!" She rubbed the back of her head again and turned to Noel with a bit of pink in her cheeks. "Ahh, could you help me out, Noel?"

Noel Vermillion

Noel was not used to all of this handholding. This kind of prolonged contact was too much for an innocent girl such as herself! She just turned to Breeze, her face far redder than the tan girl's and gulp. In a high pitched and shrill voice, she replied. "Sure! I guess!"

"Hehe, thanks. You're really nice, Noel!" She smiled earnestly the way she only could when spending time with a cute girl. So much in Breeze's life had come and gone, she'd changed a lot over the years, but this was something that never would. "Hmm, but we should get you something nice too. You said silver is worth a lot, so we might as well spend a little!"

Yusho

When was the last time he'd been this lost? Not on the Island, and not in the wild most of the places he'd been, if he'd been unlucky or even if he couldn't find rabbits or deer, he never had issues taking down a wolf or a bear with martials arts.  But no amount of martial arts could banish the unease that the towers of iron and smooth cement littering these streets held over him.

He curled his toes within his toes, causing his sandals to scrape slightly on this gravel side path. Yusho had felt similarly among the ruined glass spires of Chiaoroscuro, but those were empty... except for ghosts that he could put in line with a kick to the head.

What manner of altercation was this, anyways?! The Terrestrial Exalted who had once been a monk found his concentration failing him in the face of the diversely and exotically dressed crowds, filling this place he had no recollection of arriving at. Greetings and questions weren't difficult, but nevertheless he drifted from the swathes of passerbys, and before he realized it, his feet were taking him through a gloomy, but well-grown orchard.

He did do better with nature. Why, he had it to beat it with his fists much less often to get answers out of it, and only the Dragons knew how much he needed some.

It was inevitable, however, that his eyes were instead drawn to the building that rose above the winding walls of the orchard. A grand edification, of inspiring height even when compared to many of these absurd, out of place pillars he'd seen, touching the sky with pointed towers. It shook his memory back to the tall monastic edifices of arched glass windows and spired roofs from the theocratic wastes of the Hundred Kingdoms, and the faiths that dwelled within.

The castle looked important and non-ruined enough to house a person or institution of note that he could actually speak with. There was no particular impression of holiness to it, but that just made it less likely he would be forced into an "honor" duel over the topic of blasphemy. Kind of a shame, if he was honest.

Yusho clutched a frayed cloak around his shoulders and kept walking, now with a destination in mind, ignoring the screeches of the bats that proweled the place.

The bounty hunter heaved a small sigh, thankful at least that Dahlia had stopped shooting. She hated info dumps by themselves, but mixing them in with a normally fun activity like a little gunfight with a cute girl just left her feeling weird, to say the least.

"Look, I can explain the whole deal to you, but I'd like to do it somewhere other than here if it can be helped," the blonde said, "Explaining all of this is going to be enough of a pain as it is. Nothin' against you, mind. I just ain't fond of info dumps by by themselves, and doing them in the middle of somethin' that should be fun just feels wrong."

Ananta

So with a bit of effort she wrenched the door wide open and they descended into the tower. Ananta wasn't spooked by the fires, not at all! All she was definitely focused on was the door. Or rather, the doors. "Get ready," she told Sakura before going to open the leftmost door.

Magnificent Tower

The door seemed to almost visibly seal shut as soon as the great sage attempted to open it. And then the statues began to move with a thick, groaning scrape of stone against stone. Their indentations that seemed to be their eyes began to shine with a malignant emerald light. Intruder. State intention, came the echo from the eight guardian statues.

Lighthart

"Now that isn't here or there. Since you had the nerve to interrupt me, you will have to take responsibility." A childish pout emerged from the pile of clothes, only for it to ruffle and budge, until a golden puf of hairt emerged from the now far too large cloth and waddled its way out.

The azure eyes were the same, as was the golden luster of her hair. But something was very much different now, she was... smaller. And cuter. An pouting.

"Lost Form, a state where a power user changes his body into a state more suited to conserving energy. Every annoying question you make will cost twenty extra lashes." She said nonchalantly, very much implying she had already earned a few just for looking.

That's unusual the coffee is burnt today...

It wasn't usually like this, although she had only visited this particular cafe a handful of times, do maybe this was how it usually was.

"The coffee used to be better here, don't know what happened to it..... But you a chef? Is that like a small time hobby or are you true gourmet?" She didn't really expect the second to be true but that would be interesting.

Valerie

Pine Garden FC takes the Cup! Second time in a row!

The newspaper with the revolting header got thrown away even quicker that it had been picked up. She shook her head sadly, greatly disappointed with the current states of affair but far too lazy to do anything seriously about them. That was the fate of all her kind, after a certain point you just stopped caring, unless something was happening right in front of her she wouldn't care, maybe.

The fact a football team took front and center on the news was just depressing, maybe they were trying to cheer people up, but this sad state of affairs saddened her, or it should have.

But it didn't.

Disgusting.

She hadn't felt anything as she looked at it.

A bat flew in through the open window and circled around her 3 times clockwise and seven times counter-clockwise before settling in on top of her desk.

"Oh, a visitor, and at this hour. If I do not make any noise then perhaps they will go away.

....

The bat stared at her intently.

"Fine, I will go and greet them."

Valerie rose from her chair and walked up to the window, she put a leg on the windowsill and then leapt straight out. Like a bird she pounced out of her office, or perhaps like a bat would be more fitting to describe it as. She pounced out from the window, dropping like a rock from the heavens right infront of the visitor. Dust and dirt sprayed outwards from her flashy and violent impact. But that did not stop her from getting back on her feet and giving him a theatrical bow.

"Velcome to my domain morta-"

"What may be the nature of the creature I face? IT is neither angel nor demon or even human, truly perplexing it is." Valerie brushed the dirt of her clothes as she studied the intruiging visitor closely.

Dahlia

"Something tells me this was your plan all along." Now Dahlia was frowning as she took the ride slow. It's not like the speed had made any difference to her pursuer before. She kept her gun pointed in her direction all the same. "I'm so sorry my ignorance is an inconvenience to you, sweetheart."

"Not really, circumstances just happened to be pointing us in the right direction," the gunslinger shrugged, smoothly bleeding off speed, keeping a little bit of attention on the gun pointed her way out of long habit more than anything, "And considering you just got here, calling it ignorance wouldn't be very fair, darling."

Dahlia

Her face was pretty even when her lips were drawn in a line. She was not amused. "Don't feed me a line, sweetheart. Chasing me to a place you knew you couldn't actually attack me in, after not actually trying to capture me for real...?"

She pulled the motorcycle to a complete stop. "I can smell a lie when it's not even trying to hide. If you wanted a date you should have just asked."

A glance to the wolf boy as if to see if he had any input. If only because she was still on the fence here, herself.

Yusho

Yusho noticed someone falling, but instead of reaching for her, he reactively stepped back before the impact. It was a good thing he listed to his gut there, because the power of the collision made him recoil. One eye sparked in doubt.

The next instant, the cloud of dust and dirt that covered the area parted with his breath. "Ho there," he spoke, the gust of wind kicking up the frayed edges of his cloak and ruffling his hair. "Excuse me for the intrusion. Your appearance is quite perplexing as well."

To think this sudden intervention was caused by a young lady! But no, no such thing, perhaps a seemingly young demon, or a noble of the fair folk, or someone touched by magic. He stroked his chin, sizing her up.

"And I may not be mortal, but I consider myself a splendid human."

"I ain't that sorta gal," the gunslinger brought the bike around for a stop and kicking out the foot stand, crossing her arms under her chest and leaning back, "I was entirely intent on handing you in and waiting until after they let you off with a warning for the rest after we were done chatting. Ya did have a nine grand price on your tight self after all, even if you not bein' all that keen on fines complicated things. Realizin' we were headin' for Pine Garden was where things fell into place. I'm sure the folks back at the office wouldn't have much to say to my face, but hey, the opportunity was here, and this is a nice place to go shopping so long as you stick to the right parts, so why not take it, eh?"

Archer

Archer eyed his coffee and the sugar and cream on the table.  He liked a tad bit of sugar in some teas, but that was it.  When he did drink coffee he preferred a light roast with no sugar and rarely milk.

He added a few drops of cream to the coffee, mixed it, and found the beverage improved for it.

"I know my way around the kitchen.  I'm very comfortable in there and I do enjoy cooking.  I'm not classically trained or anything," he said with a shrug and a smile.

"However, I do take pride in working hard to create a meal that others enjoy."

Dahlia

"And then?" Dahlia raised an eyebrow as her mind went a step further beyond the appealing notion of getting someone else to buy her boots. She crossed her legs as she sat side-saddle on her parked bike. "Do you just let me go on my way, or do you try to collect the bounty again the moment I leave this part of town?"
