Sakura and Shirou

Sakura and Shirou both smiled once more at her response, glad to hear that their efforts in the kitchen were worthwhile. They both knew that they were good at cooking, but it was nevertheless nice to have independent confirmation of it.

"Well, if they're dangerous and seriously hurt others", Shirou said, immediately giving a simplified version of their reasoning.

Sakura sighed for a moment, recognising that his response would not be sufficient, before speaking up herself.

"It depends, really. Firstly, the bounties are set by the police, so whatever they've done, it has to be criminal for us to get paid for stopping them. But, we wouldn't take just any bounty. For us to be willing to take a job, their actions need to be something that would justify killing them, and there has to be a real danger of them continuing to harm others if we do not stop them. Usually, when we take a bounty we kill the target, out of necessity, and we do not like to kill someone who doesn't truly deserve it, so we only take on extremely serious crimes", she said.

Then, Shirou spoke once more.

"Not everything we do is for a bounty, though. If someone's actions are reprehensible enough and if they are dangerous enough, or if we just happen to be present at the time, then we will take them down regardless of payment, and even if their actions do not constitute a crime", he said.

Noah

The cobra slithered out from his shirt, her eyes locked on the girl the entire time.  In moments, the snake grew and expanded until it resembled a dark skinned girl with a purple iris and snake like eyes.  She was wearing a business suit with a tight black miniskirt.  The snake girl did not talk, instead placing her hands in front of her and wordlessly observing the girl, just as she had in snake form.

"Do you mean my bodyguard?" he asked, meeting her piercing glare with one of his own.  "Just because she is a girl doesn't mean she is my partner but its interesting to learn that selfish desire is not exclusive to humans.  So what do you want from me?  Money?  Power?  My body?  Or is it that you just don't want to be lonely?"

Nanako

As Sakura went on explaining, the squirrel girl's eyes started to glaze over, Nanako's attention entirely captured by the food. Shirou's explanations were far more to the point, but before she could respond to that, there was something more important to attend to.

Her task set in mind, the squirrel promptly zipped away from the table, grabbed a couple nuts from a nearby tree, patted one into the dirt for her smaller fellows to find later, and zipped back to the table. Once she was back, peeling off the shell to expose the nut and crushing it into slivers before seasoning the food with it was a simple task, and the food that much more improved for it, Nanako taking another bite out of it happily.

"Can't you just, ya know, not kill them?" she asked after a long moment, "Don't let them go, but can't ya hold back?"

Sakura and Shirou

The pair were amused and a little offended by the girl's exhibition of her squirrel-like nature. It made sense that squirrel would like the taste of nuts, but the fact that she felt the need to add to their delicious food was nevertheless disheartening. However, they said nothing, instead simply continuing to eat until the girl spoke up once more, asking them why they didn't simply capture people alive.

"No, unfortunately not", Shirou said with a frown. "Against anyone strong, I wouldn't stand a chance in a straight fight. My magic relies on sniping people from a distance, and it's difficult to do that non-fatally."

"In any case, many districts would execute them anyway, and some wouldn't even bother with a trial. And even when they would simply be imprisoned, the prisons do not tend to be pleasant", Sakura added.

"So, there's really not much point in trying, at least for the kinds of people we tend to pursue. It would just put us at risk, as well as any civilians in the vicinity of the resultant fight. By surprising them from a distance, Senpai can ensure that he only attacks when there's no danger to innocents."

Lulu

"Why not? She's really beautiful, don't you want to fuck her? Her gaze softened and she looked away. It wasn't like she was challenging him in the first place. "I just didn't like that bitch. I want to be near you for now, that's what it means. I came here for a reason, we've been brought together and I would like to find out why. That's why, that's why I'll be by your side."

Her wings popped out again as her intensity rose l, their size taking up a good portion of the room, thankfully nothing was damaged. As she calmed down she noticed this fact and quickly retracted them. "I'm sorry, I got really caught up in myself there."

Noah

Noah took a step back, perhaps taken back by her intensity.  He looked at Nana, then back at Lulu and shook his head.  "She is quite beautiful, but our relationship is... unique," he said, returning his gaze to the angel before him.  He smiled as she turned her head away.  "But I guess I should clarify something.  Just because I want to fuck a woman doesn't mean I love her.  If you want to stay by my side then lets take some precautions."

Noah opened his palms before the angelic figure of the angel.  A bright light filled the room, giving Lulu's form an almost godly presence.  His body was cast in her shadow and a small piece of glowing paper appeared in his hand.  "If you truly want to be by my side, then this is the ultimate form of our bond, a contract.  You see, I mentioned before that humans are selfish and greedy creatures, but I don't mind this.  With a contract, selfish desires can be organized on a piece of paper and communicated to all parties with full transparency."

Once again, he looked directly into her eyes, wondering how she would react.  "I want you to be my guardian angel."

Eleanor

"It's just a matter of looking beyond the physical. When you've taken the first few steps such as I, you begin to see the world as it is rather than what others make it out to be. I could teach you a bit as well if you were so eager. Although perhaps not too much. It would be embarrassing to see how flush and full I've artificially made this body in my old age." Eleanor didn't look embarrassed at all. But she did put away her pipe at least.

Hannah

"I'm hardly one to talk about not looking how I really am," she said while petting her unconscious familiar's head. "If you can show me a new kind of power then I'm all ears. And eyes. And maybe teeth, if that's the sort of thing involved."

Lulu

"I never said anything about love did I?" She shot back at him, trying to clarify her position, but she was interrupted by something that had to be caused by him.

The only reaction she gave to the sudden light show was a slight windeing of her eyes, otherwise the Angel didn't seem very surprised to what was happening before her. "Oooh... is this one of those binding contracts things? Anyways what's the point in doing that? I'm going to be your guardian angel anyway."

She moved closer to him to have a look, the contract looked empty right now. "Hmm.. are you planning to add any funny provisions?"

Noah

"Thats up to you," he said before letting his hand drop, causing the contract to float in the air, close to her face.  "If you are going to be my guardian angel, I want to take some precautions.  I am not the type to leave everything in the hands of destiny. Think of this as an exchange of expectations.  You state what you want and ill state what I want and at the end we will form a bond that is unbreakable, one that is stronger than the arms of fate."

As he spoke, the word's "guardian angel contract" appeared as the headliner for the document.  "If you didn't mean love, then why do you care so much about who I do or do not fuck?"

It seemed as though he still had much to learn about angels.

"But of course! I am only the greatest, you know~"

"Do you have any preferences for what you want your soldiers to look like?"

Nero

"My, that sounds most promising! I shall expect lots from you in the future, umu~"

Putting her index finger on her chin, the empress pondered for a while.

"Their looks, hum... I had thought you would decide those, but it is indeed true that their aesthethic is as important as their power... Nay, more important!"

Eruraviel

Eru leaned in and gently licked the back of Nero's ear, marvelling at its roundness and small size. It was a tragic quirk of fate, really. She nibbled a bit on the back of it before responding to Nero, tasting Nero's unique flavor.

"Indeed, which is why I need your help deciding." She muttered another word, and they now seemed to be deep underground, somewhere hidden away. A myriad of dangerous magical traps hummed away, protecting this location.

"Shall we make our way to the demo room?" She asked, taking Nero's hand and tugging on her arm.

Nero

The short empress shivered, unable to suppress a mischievous smile at the Elf's licking up of the film of dried semen on her skin.

"The 'demo room', you say? My, you already had such a convenient base, as expected of a magus, you are a bit sneaky, humu?"

Nanako

The squirrel girl puzzled over for a few moments more, brow furrowed as she concentrated on the curious problem.

"Don't know about the other stuff, but if you're having a hard time taking them down yourselves, why not call for help?" Nanako asked simply, "You're turning them in anyway, right?"

Sakura and Shirou

"There isn't really anyone to call", Shirou replied. "The actual police aren't strong enough to take down powerful criminals, and the other Elites and bounty hunters are usually too busy dealing their own bounties. And even if they would, we don't have any means to contact them. There's no central system in control of dispatching people."

Eleanor

She put the pipe away and smiled. It wasn't a happy one, but it was a comfortable one. Eleanor slipped it on and somehow it managed to make her look even more tired than she already was, as if the effort was dragging her whole body down. "I could teach you to crush buildings with but a few words, slip past the eyes of any mortal creature in this world, or hold countless people into your thrall. All of that would be possible with a little instruction. I could even teach you how to come back from being destroyed as I was."

"But there is always a price, and you are not always the one who will pay it."

Nanako

"Hm, that's a problem," the brunette said, tail swishing thoughtfully, "Man, this is getting a bit deep. Still, if there are people that strong around here, could be interesting..."

[Elf]

Forest

Forest blinked at Ezekiel's melancholic expression and tilted her head as she watch him don clothing from darkness.  Even more like Wynn, she thought with a pang as the shadows formed robes around him.  He then grinned at her, his expression filled with confidence once more.

At his question Forest folded her arms across her chest with a frown.  "Honestly, before you showed up I was sort of pondering what to do from here.  I don't know if you're new to this place or not, but I was going to look for a place to stay and all of those domestic details."



Archer

"Good girls don't threaten to castrate people they're interested in," Archer said as he rose to his full height as he looked at Amanda.   

He tilted his head and asked, "Or are you one of those who enjoy tormenting others?"

He took a step closer to her and looked her over.  I can tell you a few things about torment, he thought.
