Sakura

"Ziel-Energiesignatur! Erstelle einen Magiesuchpfeil!" Sakura began, forming another arrow on her bow.

"Aufladen! Schießen!"

With that, the arrow shot off towards the creatures fighting Nanako. However, this time, the arrows would actively track the nearest target, making them more difficult to evade. And, if an arrow came within striking distance, it would once again explode with a corrosive blast, much smaller than before, but still easily enough to destroy any creature it hit.

"Ein anderes erstellen! Aufladen! Schießen!" Sakura said, firing again.

The rate of fire was considerably lower than before, but the tracking ability would hopefully more than make up for it.

Shirou

Having been regurgitated from Sakura's shadow, Shirou could do little but stand on the rooftop and watch. After all, whilst Sakura's arrows were almost certainly harmless to someone as powerful as Nanako, his swords certainly wouldn't be. So, instead, he simply watched Nanako's impressive speed and admired his wife's archery and magical ability.

THE SWARM....is defeated

Cries of agony filled the streets as the creatures were systematically pierced by Sakura's arrows.  The only one that was not struck was pulverized into a black gooey paste by Nanako's fist.  The creatures, too stunned by Nanako's appearance and immobilized by their own lust for food.  It was this fault that ultimately lead to their end. The ones hiding in the streets took one stunned look and scattered, never to be seen again.

Ezekiel

The origin was simple. There was once a dragon who was sealed in a mountain. Its sole companion was a lone boy who couldn't even kill an insect. Taking pity of him, the dragon gave him his power in exchange for a body of flesh and blood. But he could not take all that power, and trying to reach further into that ? ? ? ?'s magic left him unstable.

"The culling of my kin."

A cold, heartless voice cloaked in the most casual of tones cut through the monarch like a guillotine. Something was different. No, it was wrong. Wrong. Wrong on so many fundamental levels. His calm smile didn't change, nothing about that man change, so why...

Why were tears streaming down his face?

Before anyone could put their finger on it, he was enveloped by shadows, every piece of the night in their radius moved towards him, wrapping his body like a deep cloak. Despite his crying eyes, his smile was no less eerie or bound by battle-lust. Whatever he was preparing, it was big.

"Hahahah~ You talk of this little frozen playhouse as if it were your own, but you ignore where it even came from. Tsk tsk... Well, that's fine. Most of the commoners in this city lack the drive and commitment to do anything about it even if they ended up remembering. Why care over spilled milk?"

But then... why? Why did he need to start his return's ritual so soon? Why did he gather the components so imperfectly? Wait. Materials? For what? Why would he need materials? Where was-

His eyes lit up like a machine who just woke up. Right... He touched his chest. The damage seemed to have been more severe than he thought. And yet, he still smiled while tears streamed down his face, as a gentle fallen star that would burn away all of this sickening creation.

"Have you ever heard of cross effects?"

Nanako

Nanako frowned a bit as rest of the bugs scattered, making a run for it after some fire support from Sakura smashed a number of them. Just when she was starting to have fun too. Taking a calming breath, the squirrel girl sighed before leaping over to the rooftop Sakura had ported off to.

"Welp, that was fun while it lasted," the squirrel girl remarked, tail swishing behind her, "Let's get back to the kid."

And with that, she quickly zipped around to the both of them, hoisted them up under her arms, and crouched down for a moment before taking that last massive leap towards the manor, sending them rocketing through the air.

It didn't take them long to arrive, the manor soon coming into view even for the two tucked under her arms, and the squirrel girl had no trouble handling the landing, carving another trench into the lawn as they came in at an angle to extend the time they had to come to a stop.

Suerte

The air was still, silent, warm.  Even atop this building which seemed to pierce the tip of the sky, Suerte's breath seemed even more still, silent like the rotting corpses that had been pierced by her bullets.  As she laid on her chest, she stared down the scope of her rifle.  Within the scope, she saw a figure standing atop a smaller roof.  It was clear that girl was the mastermind.  Panning down to the streets, she saw their true targets, the "men" fighting in the streets.  Even from here she could tell.  This was a dangerous situation.  This night could be her last.

The anticipation of dancing with death brought an honest smile on her face.

Touching her hand to her earpiece, she said, "Begin operation firecracker!"

She made up the name just now.

Steaven+Bodyguards

The three boys simply stared in awe as Nanako's body crashed into the ground like a meteor, mouths agape.  Loud claps echoed through the previously pristine lawn as the two guards slapped their cheeks with their hands.

"NOT AGAIN!" they cried out in unison.

"You think the boss will lump us in with her?" Chuck said.

"God I hope not," Jeffery responded.

"Thats kinda cool though," Steaven finally added.

"And since when did you become a plan!" they yelled in unison.

Steaven stared at them for a second before turning away and running towards the crater.  He could feel his face filling with blood and his mind rushing.  He shook his head but it didn't go away.  This is so embarrassing.

The children of the new world

The aimless creatures wandered about the district, many aimless and distant. Moans and eerie sounds escaped these vile beings of corruption, but most were unfocused and simply stood there, staring up at the sky without any will. Others, oddly enough, seemed to imitate human habits. Imagine the shock when one was found inside a grocery store carrying a bag of all things! Slithering about with her tentacles, gargling strange alien sounds, she did not even realize the shock and fearful ereactions all around her.

And then, there were the aberrants. Out of all the organisms, these were those who showed the most destructive, corrupting all in their path and spreading their vile infection through touch. Trashing about and destroying everything in their path, consuming erratically, their howls and screams piercing the wailing moans of their brethren. They did not  even stop to cannibalism, tearing down the large organisms that were too slow to defend against their hungering strikes. All these beings, brought forth by the tidal darkness, would simply consume everything.

It was as if hell had come forth once more.

But as far as the girl was concerned, her blade struck true, cleaving the fish-like beast throghly. It wasn't blood that spurted forth, but a suffocating black mist as the creature moaned in pain, an it fell to the ground aimlessly/

Suddenly, it twitched, And impossibly darkness spewed from the wound and reattached the body, reforming the damage while growing many tendrils to catch its aggressor.

Edelgard

The forsaken's first instinct, contrary to her training, was to step back. But Edelgard gritted her teeth at this mockery. It surprised her, the sudden response, the carcass of what to her senses used to be something else, twisted beyond recognition, not even having the decency to stay dead. But it was worse to leave these be than it was to desecrate the bodies of innocents again.

"Stay down!" She shouted, slipping through the middle of the tendrils and then pulling her spear into a whirlwind-like spin. Brutal arcs tore into the appendages and then the reconnected meat of the aberration with an increasingly quick splatter sound, as Edelgard's arms moved and her wrists twirled, letting her weapon fly between her fingers like an invisible blender.

Shinji

"Hell yeah!" He gave his comrade a thumbs up, then spun his massive axe before tossing it at him. "Hold this for me." He cracked his neck and punched a fist in his palm, then ran as fast as he could to meet his opponent and beat her up with his bare hands. Such a plan... it was madness! They both saw how these attacks worked, and yet he'd throw his body away like that, when it was clear his strength wasn't enough to hurt her.

"NEED SOME HELP!?" He roared before coming at her to deliver a furious uppercut to her eye.

Lily

She hadn't told her backup what she was going to do, oh no why ruin the surprise. Just that she was gonna distract them, and distract them she would. Most mortals are so limited in their thinking, too constrained about what's considered ordinary to even stop and think what could be. Even if or when they got powers they still behaved like little lambs, accepting what was the norm, accepting the world as something where outrageous things didn't happen. They were so soooo wrong.

Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me, I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed! Vrooooooom!....

Massive speakers.

Truly massive speakers tied with rope to a monstrosity. A monstrosity that had once been a school bus before what could only have been a tour through hell that had turned it into rainbow coloured cancer on wheels. a song thundered, rivaled only by the sound of the abused engine crying out for help.

She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb WROOOM in the shape of an L on her forehead!..

The multi colored beast of burden didn't slow down. No, it just got faster, heading right for the center of the brawl.

Well the years start coming... Kraschiiihng! and they don't stop coming!

The engine gave out with a sharp turn as the bus tipped to it's side and slid on the ground right into their midst.

Then it blew up.

The bus burst into a cloud of flames as a blur of red shot out through the front window, a flash of steel illuminating her path.

Fed to the rules and I hit the grougghhhh!

The children of the new world

"UoooOoOoooooOOOOoohhhHhHH!"The beast groaned in disconfort as it was cut down into meat-sized chunks, splattering all over in every direction. It wasn't fast enough to fight a hero with such a high level of speed. Black sludge had splashed all over, and some even got on her clothes and body.

And then it fumed, exploding with a black mist that wrapped all around her, trying to bind her with tentacle-like appendages growing from every bit of the organism.

A few blocks away, a gigantic beast, bearing the semblance of a towering house-sized slug and yet humanoid in form turnedits head to the source of the groan and changed its course, crushing everything in its steps and shaking the streets.

Police

It was a complete disaster. Officers who had been trying to deal with the brawl went up in flame along with the other fights. While their strength and pain resistance had grown greatly they hadn't become more durable, and few had the natural ability to survive such a catastrophic impact and explosion. Even worse, there were still raging survivors that were charging at the red blur shooting towards them with terrible strength and purpose. Unfortunate. Highly unfortunate.

But not that troublesome. The streets were alight with red and blue as sirens wailed in the dozens. These officers were crazed, half out the windows as they shot anything even remotely threatening with hails of rifle fire. In truth, they were near suicidal drones meant solely for destroying a threat at any cost. Mass produced by the district's chief, they would smash their cars and die fiery deaths to take down any criminal. So from above the block looked like it was swarming with blue ants as the police charged in guns blazing.

Othinus

"Magnificent." She hadn't been expecting much. Truly, filling up her realm with more fodder was all that Othinus had hoped to achieve with this distraction. But as her eye witnessed the events she saw the small glimpse of what could be waver like ripples in water. It was not a power above Fate, but it did cause her vision to waver. That was more than enough. Her free hand moved forward. Everything was about to erupt, but more than that was required. A fierce trial from a god separated the heroes from the chaff.

Othinus' fingers traced earth and ruin together in the air. Once was enough to collapse the area before her, but that wasn't enough. A greater disruption was needed. So she did so again and again, merely repeating the action as the rune blazed powerfully in the air. And all the while she continued to sing, infusing the new challengers with the strength of rage and focus of her will.

Edelgard

Persistent abomination! Edelgard felt the tendrils begin to slither around her limbs, heard them crawl over her spear in an instant, and in response she bent her knees, winding her body like a readied bow. She lept free like a rabbit, cracking the road under her and blowing away the mist like thunder.

Dozens of meters into the air, she turned, warned by her ears of the massive something that had shifted course. A slight tinge of vertigo dazed her skull still addled from the drinking spree, and the forsaken cursed her luck.

She was certain she'd set it at peace this time, but still Edelgard looked down as the momentum from her rise ran out and she began her fall.

Liseth

In this neighborhood of Little Russia nothing too strange ever happened at all, really. A family went shopping at the local market and picked out some essentials along with a few snacks for the kids. The car just wasn't working out for one man so he just walked over to the office building instead. Those closer to the conflict stayed in their homes, certain that they would be protected. They made meals, sat together, bought things, sold others, life was as it should be. There was nothing to fear.

When Breeze finally arrived on the scene she saw them. The monsters lumbered around, not exactly passive but not destructive either. They would smash through opening too small just because of their natural power and lack of awareness. Some of them were carrying things, as if echoes of their clearly lost humanity. "This is it, Breeze." Liseth's voice rang out from her phone again.

And there was someone else there. "Well goddamn, it's about time. I've been watching these things for ten minutes now. You're here to help me clean them up, right?"

Oryuu

As the naga and fishmen tore apart and drowned the people of this place Oryuu flitted about beneath the ceaseless waves. In the end, family was all that mattered. The deaths of humans washed over her but her scales were without a chink or flaw. Nothing could hope to get through. Of course, family often disagreed and there was no point in trying to save everyone. A den of monsters is not a peaceful one after all, even if they do love each other. It was all one could hope to achieve in the end. Finding others who understand you made this bearable, and humans could never be those. Love cannot eclipse hunger. You cannot fill your coffers with affection or satisfy ruin with a full heart. A Beast will remain a beast. Their love... was not meant for humans.

It was something she thought about a lot now. It was probably why she felt so old now too, brooding over the past like she was going to kick the bucket anytime soon! But no. Oryuu still felt young and renewed. She did not feel old like a scar. She felt like she was on the edge of the pond still, diving in to see how endlessly deep it was. She was alive. This desecration, this ruin, this devastation! All of it made her ever more hungry. That and the absentminded desire to grab her brother by the head and noogie his hair off reminded of that.

Family was all that mattered. So long as you could trust them.

Oryuu tightly gripped the shield she had looted, made some approximations based off the light and sound, and ended up shrugging her shoulders and making a guess. Then she pitched the thing sky high, sending it out of sight to fall where it would. Big sisters had to take care of their idiot little brothers after all.
