Locke

"Its too damn tight," Locke groaned, his voice not so subtly sounding like a growl.  It had been way too long since he had last been shopping.  He forgot how annoying it was to buy clothes.  Not only were these outfits made for slimmer builds, but he had to always consider that he gets even bigger in his werewolf form.  After all, that is what they were doing at the store, buying clothes.

"How do you decide what size you need?  I don't see girls with your sizes too often either."

Of course, he was talking about her downright pornographic proportions.

Ariel

She tapped her chin a few times in thought. So he was one of those Old World types, huh. Ariel had never actually met them before. Despite how helpful they could be their relations with Megiddo were never particularly great. But she did remember to remind herself that things could be different! Still, almost like a lecturing professor, she began to speak. "The Pleroma is the current of divine energy which exists beyond the material world. Megiddo's best occultists have theorized that it is the remains of Heaven. Without a guiding will the entire thing collapsed into a flowing river of cosmic power."

"While there may have been requirements to access it before it is far easier now. People with faith can still do so, Megiddo still makes contact with them, but the most common usage is through symbology. Certain concepts have yet to be eroded, and by the usage of tools and symbols occultists are capable of siphoning power from the Pleroma to create pseudo-miracles. I wonder if it can still be accessed or if a 'Heaven' exists in this place?"

"This Megiddo schmuck sounds like an asshole and a poser. Sorry, not buying it." He shrugged and lit himself a cigarette, except if you looked closely you could tell he was just sucking on a lollypop.

"Heaven ain't something you magic up with fancy drawings or treasures. If you want to reach heaven, you gotta be willing to make your own. Everyone has a connection to God, right here."

He smacked his chest with his fist. "Heaven dwells in each of us. I'm sure you'll find yours too if you look well enough. Um, not that I'd know. I'm just a priest."

Jeanne

She snorted at seeing his aggravated state, the reporter had been apprehensive at first to the notion of going shopping with him but his reaction was making it all worth it. "I usually get them after I finish a modeling gig, you'd be surprised at how generous they are giving out designer clothes once you show some loyalty...." She suddenly turned around and clapped her hands.

"If it's so painful for let me take some of the heat..... How about I let you pick out a whole set for me, starting with underwear?"

Ariel

Ariel crossed her arms unconsciously as her face scrunched up into a frown. "Megiddo isn't a person. It's civilization. It's 6000 years of human effort and suffering distilled into a city that couldn't just get kicked over by a daily catastrophe. Faith saved a few people in their villages and huts. The Pleroma Initiative saved humanity. You don't have the right to judge us when you don't know a single thing about our world."

Locke

Locke froze.  They were separated by a curtain, with Jeanne waiting outside.  thankfully, she wouldn't be able to see him, but she probably would pick up on the sudden silence.  Without thinking, he leaned over, peaking out of the curtain.  He smiled with a wolfish grin.

"You know you shouldn't give yourself over to a beast like me so easily," he said before hiding his head from view within the changing room.  "You saw me before.  A man like me will abuse that without question."

How did she feel about him giving into his instincts like that?  Was she mad at him?  No right?  She couldn't be with the way she was teasing him.

For a moment, he was silent. Then, his expression softened.

"Nah, I ain't judging. Sorry 'bout that, I got the wrong idea." He still thumped his bible softly on her head though, gently enough that if it didn't tease her maybe some words would slip into her head.

But man, civilization still kicked ass by itself for 6000 years? Damn, her worlds humans sure we're something.

"I've seen more than a few hearts led astray when taking shortcuts. I just couldn't condone the idea of faith being broken down bare like that. Taking shortcuts isn't always bad, but... Nah, never mind. Don't want to make your cute face gloomier. "

"Sure sure, that's why you ducked behind the curtains before you said it...." The blonde went silent, seemingly having stopped talked before she leaned forward and pulled the curtain away just enough for her head to stick in.

"And what makes you think I'm giving myself over hmm? I'll tame this cute little doggy jsut see~" She said as she stuck her tongue out at him.

Ariel

With a flap she was out from under the book and just a bit in the air, staring at it a little. "Megiddo couldn't afford faith. We needed something that worked consistently, that wouldn't fail us if we needed it. A successful usage of the Pleroma will work almost one hundred percent of the time, external circumstances notwithstanding. What's the ratio of success for divine intervention? How many prayers are unanswered versus those that aren't? Faith is a gamble of luxury or desperation." Still, with her brow furrowed, she tapped the book's cover.

"I've never read one before. What's it about?"

Locke

Locke shrunk back for a moment, silently admiring her boldness.  He was half naked, in the process of taking off his shirt and trying on another one.  His chest was covered in curly hair, emphasized even more by his sizable chest.  She wasn't afraid of him at all was she?  Smirking, he placed his palm against her forehead, wrapped his fingers around her skull.

"Maybe because your a pervert who thinks she can sneak a peak," he said, really shoving her back.  "Go grab me something you think would look nice.  Then we can do you."

"Boooo!" She whirled around on the spot as she got pushed back, but she wasn't deterred, no she actually wore a triumphant smile. "already waaaaaay ahead of you Wolfie boi!" The twirl turned into an impromptu victory dance as she shoved something into his face.

It was a colorful sleeveless shirt.

"since this lacks sleeves ya won't have to worry about no tearing, just don't bother button it up and let that sexy manly chest of your breathe!"

Locke

Wow she really was bold.  Then again, she just couldn't satisfy him if she wasn't.

Locke took the shirt, that wolfish grin climaxing into a small chuckle.  Filled with the high of the compliment, he slid into it with a stylish flourish.  His arms were on full display, bulging out of the sides, while his pushing the vest ever so slightly to the sides.  She would be able to see faint muscular lines on his belly.

"Well this might be a little showy for my taste, but it solves the problem," he said, clearly satisfied with his choice.  For a moment, he considered looking for pants, but for some reason, pants never tore, even though his legs get bigger too.  It was almost like they stretched for him.  It was always really odd to him.

Once again, he put his hand on her head, pushing her out as he emerged from the changing room.  "Alright, your turn," he said, slapping her ass hard enough to shove her in.  The loud clap it produced drew a few eyes, but he didn't care.  "Don't worry, I think everything here will look cute on you."

He left for what seemed like almost 20 minutes, arriving with a huge pile of clothes.  He threw her some fishnet leggings, a bra that was a bit too small for her and a black thong.  "Lets start with this.  I want to dress you up nice and slow..."

Valentine

"A step down?  So you were a bigshot queen huh?" she asked, still staring at the hand.  After a second or two, she met her eyes with her own.  "I can't say I am surprised.  It explains your more.... tactful responses.  I'm not sure if you'll be a great ruler, at least not when your being so disingenuous."

But she would be a better leader than her at the very least.

Thea

"An entire planet is fairly big, yes." She simply squeezed Tsumiko's hand a little more, resisting still the tantalizing temptation of instant youth lurking beneath the young girl's mismatched hand.

Matching the mob boss' eye contact with the ease born of over a century, Thea said, "What is between us is not for me to share with you, Valentine."

Valentine

Valentine scoffed at her comment.  "Hmph!  Ironic that a mind reader is so closed off.  You should know the complicated relationship we humans have with mental walls and how stuck up you sound as a ruthless psychic probing my mind as we speak."

Tsumiko

Tsumiko slowly began to stir, moaning softly. Her breathing became more steady, stronger, regular.

Her mind began to return to her. It was like strings that had been cut were slowly being reattached, and she began to twitch in a seizure like manner as she regained control. She mumbled incoherently, but surprisingly, she felt remarkably at peace. The faint throbbing agony in her head had seemed to have disappated for the first time in almost a decade.
